Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has finished his wow time for today, and is now actually here in the machinery lab. He is programing something into a metal working machine, and making a few notes. It seems he maybe trying a few new batarang designs.

Spoiler has posed:
Speaking of batarangs, Stephanie has been down here training. She quickly discovered how much better that batarangs are than the cheap imitations she'd made herself. They fly true and she's finding can be banked around obstacles, used to hit targets from other directions. And that's all before she discovered payloads.

Payloads!

Stephanie's hard at work, throwing one batarang after another as she works on her accuracy first and foremost. She's becoming a pretty good shot with them.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley comes downstairs carrying an tablet in hand which she's apparently been looking over for quite some time. "Okay, I think I've got a style down," she reasons as she comes further into the room only to pause, and glance off in the direction Tim went. Then over toward Stephanie with a chuckle. "Doing better, Steph! Lots of improvement. ... You, ah, any good at fashion by the way? I'm helping Tim with something."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over as he hears someone coming in. He will set the machine to do some of the work, and walk over to the two ladies, and offers a smile. He watches the batarangs go, and will give just a little advice, "Doing good, depending on how you snap your wrist you can determine more what part hits them if you have a pretty good idea on the distance. If you like want to break someone's nose, and not stick it in them or such."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie flashes Carrie a big grin. "Did you see?" she asks, motioning to the utility belt and matching garter that she's wearing. Though Stephanie did a decent enough job on her uniform, these look far more professional than her previous ones did. Not to mention, the batarangs she's pulling out of them are not of her making.

Stephanie listens to Tim's advice and tries it on the next throw. She smiles over to Carrie after. "Well, I'm good with a sewing machine. Not exactly good on fashion sense necessarily, though. Why, what are you up to?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley sighs faintly as she looks to the tablet again with a shrug. "Eh. I'm going to be seen in public a lot more frequently so I need to update my look to be ... I don't know. More in style?" She shrugs a little before her attention shifts back to Stephanie's outfit.

"It looks great. Isn't it nice to have something actually solid? I mean, my new suit is great, too," she admits with a chuckle. "I'll want to try some of those batarangs, too. Distance attacks seem to be my better area."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "I asked Carrie to be my fake girl friend for a while. Hoping we might be able to lure out who ever was working on framing me. I think he hired the guy who jumped my ex. So, if Carrie is seen out and about with Tim, maybe he will try again, and find a surprise when they do.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie pauses with her arm cocked back and a batarang ready to release. She looks over to Tim and Carrie. "Nuh uh uh. None of this fake dating stuff. We're talking flowers. Chocolate. Candle lit dinners at... what's that new Italian place down on Broadway? Oh, and canoodling together out at clubs, sitting in dark booths and nuzzling as if trying to do it without anyone noticing. You gotta /sell/ it," she says. Stephanie's blue eyes are lit up joyously and she'd flash Carrie a wink if she could slip it in without Tim noticing.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley turns a particular shade of pink at the very suggestion of such activities. Though, she was right, it had to be done properly. A glance is cast toward Tim, then away again with a light clearing of her throat. "I'm a good actress, I can pull it off. IF you're okay with that sort of thing, Tim." She does pause considering it though, tapping the tablet to her chin lightly. "I'm not going to turn down a nice dinner though to be honest. I don't know that I'd go there alone."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles, a bit and does blush a bit as well. "Well, I figured we might need to make the whole big public thing and then try to hide from the press, but yea probably need to be a decent amount of cuddling and such. Or do you think we should start with the whole hiding and have someone give them a tip to find us?

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie turns away, so she can totally give Carrie that wink. She faces her target and throws the batarang, and then another, and another, trying to place them precisely using more of her wrist as Tim suggested. "I'm afraid my days of involvement with the press have died a horrible and agonizing death. Horrible and agonizing for me," Stephanie says. "But either would probably work."

Another batarang flies along, smacking the target on the side of the head, but with a blunt part rather than a tip. "Oh yeah!" she says, throwing another one. That one has a point stick in the target's head. "Um. MOre practice," she says, moving to retrieve them.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley sinks down to sit on one of the steps to the bat computer which gives her a decent vantage point to both watch and talk to Stephanie who is practicing throwing batarangs, and Tim who is working on creating some new designs for them. There's a tablet held in her hand which she holds idly. It's open to some webpage or another with various fashions on it as she was apparently perusing some clothes shopping before pausing to chat with the pair.

"At the very least I can model my behavior off of how Kitty acted. I'm not precisely good at relationships." Pausing a beat, she adds with a self-depreciating chuckle, "I didn't even realize when a guy took me to a nice restaraunt in New York that he was interested in me. But there's worse things that could be done than dating Tim."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over, and says "I have had a bit more experience, but more watching and learning how to play it up for the press if I need to than real experience. that reminds me, I should tell Doug. I know you two did not hit it off, but make sure no weirdness make him think we were hiding anything or such." He will say. I will try to be not to much of a playboy while we are out."

Batman has posed:
The vault-like door that serves as the entrance into the Batcave from the hidden passage that leads to the Manor above hisses open as magnetic locks are released. As the echoed conversation by the Batcomputer reaches him, there is the slightest moment of hesitation. He stands in the doorway, eyes flicking to biometric scanner that both unlocks and locks it. But he's here now, and the noisy opening of the door makes turning around and walking right back upstairs an impossibility. Instead, he steps forward and continues down the flight of stairs to the Cave's main concourse.

He is dressed as the version of Bruce Wayne that the public sees. A bespoke suit in dark grey, sewn from the sort of fabrics that might cost as much as a small home. One hand falls to the button at his midsection, the jacket opening up as he shrugs it off and hangs it lazily over a multi-tiered toolbox supported on four wheels. As he rolls up the sleeves of his navy dress shirt, his eyes flick to the gathering. Already the mask of billionaire Bruce Wayne has begun to fall away, and the stern angles of his face now show only the Batman. When he speaks, it is only a grunt.

"Hnh."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie lets out a little laugh. "Oh, Tim is totally going to be a playboy while you're out," she says, but just teasing him. She returns with the batarangs, she's probably thrown a hundred of them today and doesn't seem to plan to let up yet. She's switching hands now, not nearly as good with the left hand. But that's why she's practicing with it.

The sound of the door opening comes, and Stephanie glances up to see who it is. There's probably a sense of the teacher coming in the room. That was sort of already the way it was before, but Stephanie has been on such good behavior since the interview at Arkham. "Just working on the new equipment," she tells Bruce with a smile before refocusing on her task at hand. A batarang goes twirling through the air. The left-handed throw misses the target, but the second throw that came a split second later hits.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Ohgod. That sinking feeling of being caught doing something wrong creeps over Carrie. Even if it wasn't a sensation she'd really had since she was much younger, and goofing off in one of her classes. Overall she'd been a boring kid. When Bruce was Batman, though, he carried that same presence with him that some of her more demanding teachers had, and brought with him the feeling that disappointing him would be very bad.

Nevermind she had often yelled at Bruce before knowing who he was. It was different now.

Pushing to her feet she vacates her lounging spot on the stairs to ensure he has a clear path toward the computer with a dip of her head in his direction in greeting. "Just going over the details of a plan," she explains as if she hadn't just said the words 'dating Tim' aloud.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and looks over to Bruce, and says "since we have not heard much from the guy framing me, I am thinking of trying to lure him out. He went after an ex of Tim Drakes, see what happens when I start dating someone very publicly. I asked Carrie to help as if he does send someone after her or come himself, she is capable of taking care of herself, and someone unknowing and unprepared is not put in harms way.

Batman has posed:
The talk of dates prompts a hard stare from Bruce. It passes over Carrie with all that expected disappointed teacher vibe, pauses on Tim, and is even briefly directed at Steph for her daring to be an accomplice to this crime of emoting or simulating emotion in the Batcave. He doesn't pause, moving instead to the Batcomputer and sinking down into the seat. He spends several moments in silence, fingers tapping across the keys as he appears to do a dozen different things at once on the screen all while his face looks as though his mind is somewhere else.

When he does speak, it is not quite the validation or even the dressing down that may be expected: "Alright."

Spoiler has posed:
Batarangs continue to whirl through the air, one after another. Left hand, right hand. Overhand. Underhand. Thrown straight from the utility belt. Cocked back for extra strength. Stephanie goes through the drills one after another before finally going to retrieve them all again. She rubs one of her arms, starting to feel the exertion finally.

The blonde moves over to get a drink. "If you want some extra cover whenever you go out in public, I'm game. Can get a good vantage point up above. Have a couple of bikes nearby," she offers. "Also probably a good idea to carry some trackers, just in case?" she suggests.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley lets out a breath she wasn't really aware she was holding at the 'Alright'. It was as good as it was going to get she imagined. With a nod she flashes a grin toward Stephanie, and then toward Tim. "Yeah that's a good idea. For now I'm going to go get some shopping done apparently so I look the part. Not really my favorite thing to do, but..." She shrugs and heads for the stairs. "Talk to you later."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles, and says "Not sure if it helps but I normally do Red and Black in civilian attire as well." He will offer to Carrie. He oddly enough did not seem worried about Bruce's approval on the plan. ttim has been getting more sure of himself since he has been Red Robin, working on his own may have been god for him.

Batman has posed:
"Good idea," Bruce speaks up, unbidden, when Steph makes her suggestion, "Red Robin and Kestrel will be distracted by the ruse. Best to let the Spoiler maintain an overwatch for any variables you don't pick up. You should bring her."

When Carrie rises to leave, he only nods his head in silent assent without turning his attention at all away from the screen in front of him. When she's halfway to the door he speaks up again: "Talk to Alfred about getting one of the charge cards. I'm paying for it. Cost not an issue."

He shakes his head slightly at something on the screen, moving it out of the way so he can review what looks to be a news article in some Central Asian language. He continues to speak, still focused on the work in front of him.

"Good work with batarangs. Left arm is sloppy, but improving it. Need to practice throwing while mobile, or blinded."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie gives an affirmative nod. "Just let me know when and where," she tells them. The suggestions for the additional drills cause Stephanie to pull out notepad and jot something down on it. Rather than using her phone. Probably the only twenty year old in the world today to still use paper. Though she at least doesn't make it obvious. No "mobile batarang practice" in case someone were to read it.

"I'm going to go upstairs and refuel, and give my arm a break before continuing," she says. "I'll bring some of Alfred's cooking back down with me." She grabs a bottle of water, smiling and touching Carrie's shoulder on the way past. The Wayne men get nods and then Stephanie is jogging up the stairs, taking them two at a time.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to Bruce, and says "Already gave her one of the ones that won't be traced back to us. It was my idea so I made sure, she was not going to have to spend out of pocket. I went through a list and she was the best fit for it in current situation. thought about. Skills to take care of herself in a fight, but also ability to play the part in public, and no awkward connection to my brothers."

Batman has posed:
"Hm."

The single half-grunt, half-murmur is all that Bruce offer by way of affirmation for the plan. His attention fixated upon the screens in front of him, brow furrowing as he reads the article on the screen and then closes it to turn his head slightly and address another.

"Starting patrol early," he explains, still not moving from the seat, "Need to investigate this new street drug. Made it as far as Bludhaven, likely already creeping in to Gotham. Want to get ahead of it."
