Cast of Characters: Polaris, Siryn

Polaris has posed:
Lorna had been part of the ruined field trip to the museum which had ended in a bus load of children being injured by cyborgs. She herself had been knocked out for a good portion of the fight, and while her picture hadn't ended up on the news, there were reports of strange electronic interference that had occurred immediately after the crash. She'd showered off the blood that had stained her hair and changed out of her ruined clothes.

For now she was perched on the edge of her bed in the master bedroom of the Mansion, clicking through her glass thin phone. The door was open, and the windows were open enough to let the breeze through. The curtains wafting gently in the summer evening's air.

Siryn has posed:
There was a lot to get used to having come back to the school after yet another year away due to family issues. Theresa had been lingering on the fringes revisiting old friends, meeting new ones, and otherwise just pacing through the old familiar halls feeling rather useless. So much was happening but given her frequent trips away few were keen on informing her when help was needed. She wasn't part of the team.

While such thoughts flit through her head she starts down this particular corridor only to glance toward the partially open door spying Lorna sitting on her bed. Pausing, she steps to the door, and raises a hand to knock lightly on the doorframe. Leaning inside slightly she offers a hesitant grin. "You okay, Lorna?"

Polaris has posed:
Lorna paused in typing whatever it was on her phone, clicking the Genoshan tech off as she set it down at the sound of Theresa's voice. She flashed the woman a smile as she waved the door open further. "Yeah.. hey, it's been a while come on in." The green haired young woman got off her bed and went to the mini-fridge she kept in the corner of her room. The door popped open and she glanced toward the other mutant.

"Can I get you something to drink or anything?" She turned around, a soda can in hand.

"I'm... I'm okay. Josh patched me up. It was dicey. Hit my head pretty hard and well.. with the whole of the Earth's magnetic fields running through my head normally.. that makes things not so easy to deal with.." She murmured.

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy steps further in moving to take a spot sitting on the edge of the bed even as Lorna hits the mini fridge. "Soda," she blurts out quickly with a tense glance cast to the fridge. "I'm avoiding anything harder. Just gets me in trouble." Her hands fold on her lap idly trying not to remark further on that touchy topic.

"I know I can't completely understand what that's like, but if you need to talk, I'm a pretty good listener."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna grabbed a second soda, and made to pass it along to Theresa with a faint smile on her lips. "Considering the pounding headache I got from the concussion I had earlier.. I'm really not up for beers right now. Even if Josh healed that up.." She drawled, and shook her head, settling down on the mattress again and sipping at her soda herself. She shrugged once, pushing her hair back from her face. There wasn't even a bruise on her face.

"How have you been? I haven't seen you in a long while."

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy reaches out to accept the can cradling it between her hands a moment. Raking a fingernail over the top she plucks the pull tab open and then takes a sip. "Mm. My Aunt was sick. On my mom's side," she explains in case it came into question. "Since I found out who my parents really were I've been trying to get back in touch with the family I never really knew. So I went back to Ireland to help take care of her while she got better." A faint, wistful smile tugs at her lips.

"Probably overstayed my welcome a bit but it was kind of nice being around family. I don't always feel like I fit in with dad. We've been so touch and go over the years."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna nodded at Theresa's words, a faint twitch of her lips following. "Heh, funny. A year ago I started thinking the same. I spent a year in Genosha, trying to learn about him.. you know? Beyond the news and what everyone else ever told me." She pursed her lips together, and raked her hand through hair and pushing the curls back behind her ears. "It's really all I have, him and Wanda and Pietro.." She shrugged once, offering a sympathetic look to Theresa.

"If you ever want to commiserate about family problems.. I'm here."

Siryn has posed:
Theresa Cassidy raises her soda in salute toward Lorna with a knowing nod. "Both our families are rather messed up in many ways, aren't they? Though they're still family. My uncle..." She shakes her head a bit at that. That was a whole other can of worms. "Same to you. We can start a club about family issues," she jokes with a chuckle.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna smiled and nodded to Theresa, raising her soda in a cheers gesture back to the other woman. "Yeah, it's been pretty crazy. And I have still haven't tracked down anything to do with my mother or her family. I don't know anything about her.. at all. My father is the only one alive.. so.." She shrugged and sighed softly.

"I'm gonna go downstairs to get some popcorn. If you want some I'll bring it up." She murmured, flashing Theresa a smile as she got up and made for the door.
