Synopsis: Barbara and Stephanie visit with Commissioner Gordon in the park
Cast of Characters: Spoiler, Oracle

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie and Barbara were just finishing up lunch together. Chinese. Stephanie got the sweet and sour chicken and didn't understand why it wasn't 'authentic'. She tilted her head to Barbara, saying, "I mean, we're in a Chinese restaurant, right?"

She was kidding. Or claimed so later anyway, repeatedly, as the pair walked across the street to a park where Police Commissioner Gordon - and more notably Barbara's father - had said he was enjoying his lunch break.

Walking through the park, they come up on a large koi pond where ducks are floating above the immense gold fish beneath the water. Commissioner Gordon is throwing some bird seed down on the shore nearby, the ducks swimming over to begin picking it out of the grass.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara is wearing a red tank top tucked into a pair of black slacks that have a black belt with a silver buckle cinched around her waist, simple black shoes on. Her hair is tied back into a bun atop the crown of her head and she's smirking over at Steph.

"I've never been to China, but I'd love to go and check out an American Restaurant there. See how actually American it really is. Or isn't." She flashes a light grin before she looks ahead to see her dad.

Aging now, but he's still that father she always knew and loved. Same mustache, same dark rimmed glasses, just more gray in his hair. When he sees them he sits up and waves to them and she raises up her hand to wave back.

"He's still trying to get me to quit my job and do something 'safer' by the way." She warn Steph. "So be ready for that kind of thing. He doesn't know what you do, or he might drop dead right before us." She states with another smirk.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie grins as they walk over. She's wearing a light grey t-shirt with Captain America's shield logo on it, and a simple pair of blue jeans that have some small holes in the knees. Sandals are perfect for the warm summer day as she tells Barbara, "Well, he's not far wrong in that," Stephanie says, flashing a grin over to the redhead that is a few years her senior.

The Commissioner rises as he sees the girls coming. "Barbara, glad you could make it," he says, moving over to give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "You're looking good. A little thin maybe. You need to eat more. Come by this weekend, your mother is making pasta," he tells her. He finally looks over to Stephanie. "And who is your friend?" he asks.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara turns her head to let the kiss come to her cheek and then she hugs her father before she steps away from him. She motions to Stephanie. "This is Steph, Dad. I texted you about her. She's a friend, I've been helping her out with computers and tech and such. She'll probably be a better wiz at it all than I am some day."

A smile is shown then to her dad. "I'd be happy to come. But only if I can drag Steph here with me. She needs to meet mom too after all." A wicked grin is shown to Stephanie then, auto-inviting her friend to family dinner, thats never weird.

Babs looks back to her pop then. "How are you feeling? Hows work?" She asks him.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie steps up to smile warmly. "Hello sir. It's really nice to meet you," she says, offering the elder Gordon her hands and getting a hardy shake of it. Stephanie lets out a soft laugh and says, "Oh, don't let Babs fool you. I'm hopeless with the things compared to her. Though she's been such a huge help," Stephanie says.

The older man tells Stephanie, "Well, stick with Barbara. She's had her face in front of a screen half of her life, it must be." He flashes a grin over to his daughter. "Of course, I insist you bring the young lady along. So what do you do, Stephanie?" he asks. "I'm a student at Gotham U. Still deciding on a major," Stephanie tells him.

Commissioner Gordon looks back to Barbara. "Oh, doing well mostly. Back is giving me some trouble again," he says. An old injury from back when he probably should have been staying in the office more than he did. "But I keep saying, it's nothing a fishing trip up to Banff won't fix."

Oracle has posed:
Barbara puts her hand on her father's back and gives it a little rub before she winces at him. "You need to get out of this city and do more fishing with your time, you know that, right?" She tells him as she glances to Stephanie and shows a light faint smile.

"He should've retired like ten years ago, but for whatever reason keeps at it. I swear its made my mother age about ten times faster than someone ever should." She looks back to him and smiles. "Worrying about this big lug, every day he's out trying to save this darn city."

"We ready to get some food?" She asks him then.

Spoiler has posed:
Barbara's father seems more than ready to fall into step with the young ladies. "Oh, I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have a job to go to," he says, waving away Barbara's comment. "Stephanie, do you fish?"

The question causes the blue-eyed blond to look, eyes widening a moment as she shakes her head. "Nah. I mean, the whole catching the fish part sounds pretty fun to me. But... having to grab their slimy body and yank a hook out of their mouth?" Stephanie says, her face looking like it could turn green the last half of the sentence. "Ew. No, I'm happy to eat the results though," she says with a grin.

Stephanie grins over to Barbara. "So what was it like when you said you wanted to follow in his footsteps?" she asks.

Oracle has posed:
The exchange between the two of them makes Barbara smirk. "Don't scare her with the offer to join you for a fishing trip, Dad." She warns her father before she tucks her thumbs into the loops on her belt as they walk together. "Fishing is a thing for graying haired gentleman to enjoy. Or an excuse for guys to go chug a buncha beers on the river." She knows about it, he used to take them on fishing trips when she was young.

A look is sent over to Stephanie then and she smirks, then looks to Jim. "I believe his facial expression from that moment is best described as Abject Terror." She quips with a growing light grin.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie laughs warmly as she walks along with father and daughter. "Now, it wasn't /Abject/ Terror. Granted it... a slight amount of discomfort, characterized by nightmares and small amounts of frantic screaming," he jokes. He takes the two ladies over to get something from a street cart. He seems to know the man who runs it, as they chit chat about their families, and he introduces Barbara and Stephanie before they move on to find somewhere to eat.
