Location: Lower Manhattan warehouse
Synopsis: Selene kills lycans, escapes explosions.
Cast of Characters: Blackout, Selene (Underworld)

Blackout has posed:
It's a dark and stormy night in Lower Manhattan, late, as the hour strikes 1am. Activity continues in the city that never sleeps, but it's isolated, diminished to specific regions and mostly in the shipping areas and associated interiors. One particular warehouse is slightly illuminated, yet only the rooftop windows allow for transparency while side windows are translucent or painted over. The warehouse is a standard 200x100 ft structure with lots of organized storage space inside. Large front and rear doors (rear toward the water) that are closed and 4 accessory side doors. Standing on either side of the smaller doors are two men each. Those men are Lycans in their human guise. They are dressed like motorcycle bike gang members and are working security for whatever is going on inside the warehouse.

Inside the warehouse are several (22) humans which are strapped to horizontal tables. There are machines hooked up to them with tubes that transfer fluids between their bodies and the machines. Additionally, there are approximately 20 lycans within the room. 5 are dressed in lab coats, 10 are dressed in combat fatigues carrying weapons and guarding the general area. 5 are dressed in suits and observing the setup. The illumination within is spotty, but brighter around the humans strapped to the tables.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's out and about tonight, at 1am. Dark, stormy night? Check. Trenchcoat slick with rain? Yes. Death Dealers? Um...nope, they had stayed home. It's just Selene tonight on her bike. A bike that's rolling to a halt with the engine off. She's just sitting, watching things for a moment. She's smart enough o make it look like her bike's run out of gas or something easy to explain away. She's watching silently. Selene doesn't miss a beat. Instead, she's dressed to, literally, kill.

RSliding off the bike, Selene hits the ground, feet first and pulls herself up to her full height. Starting a war here will get attention. Instead, she's studying the patrols for a second or two, hand in her coat for a throwing star. Shuriken in one hand. Pistol in the other, Selene watches, then zips the throwing star over with a flick of her wrist toward where the lycans guarding the area are.

Blackout has posed:
Hearing the metallic ring against concrete, the lycan guards move away from the door. One moves to the shiney shuriken, the other moves toward the darkness straining his eyes to see who may be tossing metal. The first one states, "It's a shuriken."

The second one says, "A what?"

The first one answers, "You know, a ninja star from those movies."

The second one says, "Ooh, yeah, I call dibs."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene follows up the first shuriken with another, this time aimed, hopefully, to murder. Or, at the least, go neck high and stick. She looks through the darkness, drawing her pistols in both hands and moving quickly. She's got a way into here, and....she's deadly too. Selene though is watching the guards. With a burst of speed, Selene closes the gap and fires at the guards from a sprint, doing her best acrobatics. The guns never lose their aim, Slene's just /that/ good. And scary. If anything, she's trying the whole 'be in many places at once' approach.

Blackout has posed:
The first shuriken slices through and into the throat of the second guy, he grips it, falls backwards, and starts to burn.

The second guy, while bending over to pick up the initial shuriken turns to see what just happened. He's plugged several times with silver bullets and he too will go down hard.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
"Two down" Selene muters to herself with a sigh. Two down, distracted by a shuriken. And. Oddly enough. Selene's finding it easy to sneak in here. She's expecting way more of a fight honestly. Plus, she's....dangerous. Shaking her head, Selene looks over at the door, finding her way to it easily. She pauses outside it though and figures a new plan of attack is a good strategy. She's....certainly got a thousand ways in here. Roof, hit the generator, or bust in the front are three that work right now for her. She's picking the smart option.

So she's seting off looking for the generator. Or anything electrical to kill the power. Even if that means killing power to a bit of the city. Minor details.

She's not bothered about humans. This war is between her....and the lycans. Not humans. Humans are just caught up in the crossfire.

Blackout has posed:
There's a building next to the warehouse that handles the generator that suppliments the drain from the city power supply. If the generator is cut, half the building will go dark, likely the part where the machines are hooked up to. There is a guy sleeping within the generator building. Another lycan that will never see her coming.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene wastes no time. She's aiming her gun at the sleeping guard, then pulls the trigger three times. Even as she fires, she's moving her way into the building with the aim of wiping out the generator. Guards or not. She'll deal with this herself. Like....now. Or as soon as she's got a chance to kill the e generator, really. shaking her head, Selene looks around the building as well.

Blackout has posed:
The guard is dead. The gunshots will likely draw unnecessary attention, but she can handle it in the upcoming phases. The generator is easy to shut down. Rip out cords, shoot power boxes, something.

When she's done with that, two lycans are bursting into the room with feral features. Rawr!

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene moves immediately, being halfway to Canada pretty much by the time the door opens. Or as far to Canada as she can get without going through a wall. Instead, she shoots the second the door opens, though given she's running away, and has spent the past few moments sabotaging the generator by way of tearing everything out of it. Plus, she's proving she's not a pushovr. Given, but.....Selene looks to the lycans and just....looks unimpressed, firing again as she comes to a halt for a moment. Then she's off again. If she can get an angle to go around the lycans and through the door, she's going to do her best to do that really. If she happens to slam into a lycan, bonus points.

Blackout has posed:
Lycans go down with the shots. They die just as rapidly. Back out the door from the generator building, she is able to see a side door into the warehouse. The side door is being opened and lycans in their wolf-oid form are rushing out to attack. They are armed/armored and the guns they carry fit nicely into the werewolf like hands. They fire off rounds toward Selene as they charge her. All 6 of them at the same time.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene figures straight up is the best idea. Or, to the roof. To the roof where hopefuly, they can't spot her. To tho that end she just....pushes herself to the limit and moves as fast as able to get to the roof....and...is doing her best to get out of sight and stay there. If the lycans don't look up or think to check the roof, she's good. If they do. She's trouble. Well, trouble for them, that is....

Blackout has posed:
The lycans see the leap, the bound, and the climb to the roof. They give chase, but cannot move as gracefully. Instead, they blunder their way up the walls toward the roof. But still give her plenty of time to get up there and be able to see within.

Inside, she is able to see the human hostages and the suits. The suited lycans are moving quickly toward the rear of the building, escorted by armored guards. The white lab coat lycans are working to secure data from computer terminals and pocketing drives.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene works her way across the roof and begins finding a way in, in a nice, quiet spot. Nice, queit and with a good shot on the lycans, no less. Before she drops in, given she's got enough weapons to make a small African nation jealous, she's dropping flashbangs in. Five in total, all thrown just slightly differently andd within a few moments of each other. Once the last one's gone off, she drops in and begins to gracefuly move through the bit of the warehouse she's in, opening up on the lycans with bullets. She's also using whatever's to hand to throw at the lycans or go for hitting htem over the head if they are dumb enough to get in close. She's twirling and shooting, a deadly dance. Selene's not staying still so that's affecting her aim, but her years and decades and centuries of training and fighting....they've compensated for that.

Blackout has posed:
The guards rush her as she descends. They are slowed by the flash/bang and many are struck by bullets. Other guards have managed to get on the roof and then drop down with her at other places around the room. They too will charge Selene, their own guns fireing. Many of them are struck.

All of this allows 5 of the 6 suits to escape and 3 of the 5 lab coat wearing lycans to escape.

The humans are not unconscious. They are awake, aware, and look horrified. Their mouths are gagged and they are terribly weak against the bindings that hold them to the tables.

A few things that Selene may notice are plastique explosives duct taped to many of the iron I beams that support the ceiling all around. Enough explosives to take out the entire building and the ones next to it. They are all armed with little red LEDs glowing on them.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene watches and runs. As cold and cruel as it may be....she doesn't have time to save every hostage.. She's not here to save hostages. She's not a bomb defusal expert. Her priority now is escaping and waging her war. She looks to the humans and starts doing her best to get them free and out of the building, or as many as she can, really. She's made a snap decision to try to help the hostages. Mostly since they know things....that could help her out. So she's keeping one eye on the plastique and the other on the hostages, her guns snapping off bullets at the guards, as Selene's doing her heroic heroine thing.

Blackout has posed:
Lycan guards try to engage her, they are shot.

She is able to free three humans. The second one is a male. When he's unplugged from the hoses, his mind starts to clear. The other two she is able to unplug them as well.

The red lights begin to flash.

The second male falls forward and through a dark hole that opens up beneath him. The hole closes behind him after he disappears. The other humans didn't see it.

The lights on the bombs flash brighter.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene has no desire to be around when those bombs go off. Instead, she just....sorta flees for the nearest window. Mostly because it's quicker than fighting with a door. And, honestly, cooler looking, not that Selene cares about that. Survival is on her mind, mostly since she wants to live to fight this war. No good being a dead undead vampire legend if she's.....not able to fight, no matter what the term is. Selene grits her teeth and launches herself at the window. She's grabbed the two hostages she's free, the one that went through the hole is.....at least she hopes, safe. Wither two hostages, Selene is focused on running....and.....fast!

Blackout has posed:
Through the window, Selene is able to escape. Trouble is, normal humans aren't so resistant to glass cuts. Then there's clearing out of the explosion's blast radius. One of the humans is cut badly along her throat and shoulder. Selene runs, tries to escape the explosion... things behind her go boom/boom/boom/BOOOOOM and shrapnel is thrown in all directions. She takes a lot of it into her backside and into the humans she carries. Killing one instantly, and the other will bleed out in a few seconds. The force of the blast will also propel her forward several meters.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene's used to this. Humans are soft and squishy, so Selene decides to take the brunt of it to protect them. Mostly since. Humans equals info! Info is good. And Selene needs all the info she can get! Humans not dying would bde agood start, too, as she is hoping, nay, praying to Victor those humans live.

Blackout has posed:
Deadder than she is. Except one gurgles blood for a few more seconds as it pours out of her throat.

The debris falls from the sky and is scattered all around in flaming chunks.

Off in the distance, sirens will be heard.
