Don't Go Making Portal Falls
Date of Scene: 29 July 2019
Location: Sanctum Santorum
Synopsis: Felicia makes Strange feel the feels
Cast of Characters: Black Cat, Doctor Strange

Black Cat has posed:
With the Sanctum now back to a semblance of normalcy -- for what 'normal' is for the residence -- Felicia chooses to linger in the doorway. With a final SLURRRK of her drink to empty it, she shakes it testingly just in case: yep, empty. It's set aside on the counter and there she then leans in the doorway, squinting at the Sorcerer Supreme. He just wiped the house of the Trickster God himself, apparently, given there's no sign of Jeremy or the well-dressed Asgardian mage anywhere in immediate sight.

However, this doesn't stop her from suddenly marching over and pointing a finger up into his face fearlessly. "Buddy, you tried to drop me through one of those portals. Not cool."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Buddy?" Stephen asks, lifting an eyebrow to Felicia as he lowers his hands and the house returns to it's more 'normal' state with the halls and doorways leading to the correct places. Stephen looks down at Felicia's finger and then up to her green eyes. "I was protecting you Felicia." Stephen says, crossing his arms beneath his chest and Felicia's single finger extended fist.

"I didn't have time to ask you if it was okay that I make sure you survive the next thirty seconds." Stephen says matter-of-factly.

Black Cat has posed:
"Yeah, well, I was going to be fine, Copperfield," Felicia replies, reneging already on her initial prickly approach in the use of the old, beloved nickname for the Sorcerer. "He knows I'm nobody to mess with. He tried it already. My bad luck messed up his magic as badly as it did for you," she reveals with a sharp sigh. White teeth fret at the corner of her lip as she drops her jade-green eyes to his fine chin.

"Still...thank you." The thief steps in, intending to hug even around the crossing of his arms and to bury her face in his chest. She still smells of her conditioner in light notes of raspberry overtop the usual perfume in vanilla and caramel.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I was sending you away for as much yourself as much as for my own sake." Stephen says as Felicia hugs him and he eeps slightly, awkwardly unhooking his arms to wrap sweetly and gently around the thief and holds her close. The sorcerer takes a deep breath and a sigh as he realizes he was holding in a lot of tension. He did just have a confrontation with a god.

"I know you can handle yourself but I do know this is a bit beyond what you're used to Felicia. Even living with me as much as you have can't prepare you to deal with a god." Stephen says, turning his head to press his cheek against her head as he holds the woman.

Black Cat has posed:
"I can hold my own against him." The grumble into his chest isn't a loud grumble; it lacks the depth of belief. Sorcerous wisdom holds true and the thief knows it even in the corners of her trouble-seeking, adrenaline-loving black little heart. "He thinks he's all that and a side of fries. He's limp, soggy, oily fries. Hmph."

Felicia nuzzles her forehead up into the tuck of his neck, her cheek at his collarbone hidden away beneath the blue fabric of his gi. "I'm sorry if I worried you. I just didn't like how he was talking to you. I know you're a certified bad-ass."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Just know there will be times my foes will use you to handicap me. That's all I'm doing is keeping you out of danger so I can not be manipulated." Stephen says, moving his hand from her back to tuck under Felicia's chin and he savors the softness of her skin as he tries to urge her face to look up towards his so he can lock onto her eyes. "That's how much I love you."

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia allows her chin to be lifted and she looks between those ever-changing eyes with a small, soft smile. "I think if anybody tries anything like Loki did again, I'll finish them off before they show up on your doorstep." It's a very usual prideful, confident little showing on her part. Her eyes take on a warm light unseen by anyone other than Stephen himself.

"I love you too, Copperfield, enough to not let anybody mess with you either. I think we make a good team." Her lips part in a twinkling grin. "You and your phenomial cosmic powers, me and my card tricks."

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen lifts a single eyebrow at Felicia, dropping his hand from her chin to rest on her mint tank at her waist, "You can do card tricks?" The sorcerer asks as he turns his head and leaves a skeptical eye on Felicia, obviously he doesn't believe that she can do that kind of sleight of hand.

Black Cat has posed:
Felicia's red-red lips thin and then purse against a smile as she realizes he's teasing her. No doubt the Sorcerer with his mobile, steel-trap of a mind remembers the playing card plucked from her shirt sporting a kiss of red upon its face-side.

"I can, in fact, do other card tricks than the one I showed you, Mister Strange," she replies tartly, her eyes glittering.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Stephen lifts his other eyebrow at Felicia and pulls back from the hug, but still keeps his hands touching her, not willing to let go just yet.

"Like what? Miss Hardy? I still don't think your last trick was all /that/ impressive." He says but Strange is bitting his bottom lip in a lie.

Black Cat has posed:
The thief gasps, letting out a short burst of air in an affronted huff. "Excuuuuuuuuse me? Your forehead bounced off a cupboard door, Copperfield. I'm pretty sure I impressed you enough with it." Her eyes fall to his mouth and then rise to hold his gaze once more. The arching of her own eyebrow is deliberate mockery of his staid countenance.

"You're also a very bad liar -- which is fine by me, given I've had enough of liars lately." She sniffs to accent her point and lifts her chin a touch, as if daring him to disagree.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"i'm a doctor Felicia, not a lawyer." Stephen says with a smile to Felicia as he lowers his chin in a moment of serenity for the sorcerer and he gives the thief's waist a quick and playful squeeze before he gets that devilish grin on his face and he quickly pulls her towards him and presses his lips into hers in a passionate kiss that he breaks not long after intiating it, "My room. ten minutes."

Black Cat has posed:
"Mrrrrrrfffff!"

Felicia blinks, taken aback by the kiss at first. However, she's quick to laugh and nod at the Sorcerer. "Ten minutes," she echoes. "Sounds like a plan, Copperfield. I'll show up with bells on." Or who knows what on, really, with the impossible number of fashionable things the thief keeps away in her closet here in the Sanctum.
