Date of Scene: 29 July 2019
Location: North Point, Nantwich
Synopsis: Batwoman and Selene speak to one another
Cast of Characters: Batwoman, Selene (Underworld)

Batwoman has posed:
Gotham City. 12:06am. The increased drug activity on the East Coast has everyone who wears a costume pulling extra duty. And for those whose costume features the emblem of noctournal predators, the burden is doubly so to monitor all of the 'help' from vigilante wanna-be's.

It would take very keen senses to notice the woman in a dark costume with bat ears... pardon, that's Bat ears... standing quietly in the shadows along Gotham Cathedral's many-spired roofline. Overlooking the square as well as the better portion of this district, it makes for an excellent vantage point to survey the area with nightvision binoculars.

Kate is tired, but she's a soldier so she's used to it. And she is also patient. Slowly, the binoculars make another sweep.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
One roof over, flanked by a pair of her Death Dealers, Selene's been living up to her name since the sun went down. She's stood on the roof looking all around. Her signature handguns are in her hand, the guns are well used tonight. Hook addicts figured trying to rob her for drug money was a great idea, Selene got out of that. The Hook addicts....not so much. Selene's up here...so she's up on the roof. She's looking around with a quiet, cold, calculated look. If anything, this isn't her usual haunt.

She's trailing lycans here, and waiting, waiting patiently biding her time. If anything, she's ready for a fight....but she's wanting to know who and what is around her. She knows her Death Dealers are here, true. Butt she knows past midnight, strange things happen

Batwoman has posed:
Batwoman makes another sweep with the binoculars, then pauses. Something isn't quite right on the next roof over. Movement catches her attention, but without the usual, characteristic heat signature. Changing the settings a couple of times helps to define the outline, and Kate zooms in as well. There's certainly enough movement for Batwoman to be noticed by supernatural senses, although she's still pretty discreet to normal senses on the ground.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene pauses for a moment, tensing up then she stays put watching Batwoman. One roof over. It's good she's not alone. It's also piqued her interest on who and why is one roof over. Stepping toward the edge of the roof, Selene pauses, watching, waiting for anything. Her fear is...lycan.

Instead, Selene's sweeping her gaze over the roof, another look over then she nods silently, a silent greeting.

Batwoman has posed:
Yes, definitely human. Or human-like. Batwoman catches the nod, then returns it with a slow nod of her own. The binoculars are lowered, then clipped to her utility belt. Shifting, she steps to one side and makes room for another near the spire where she's standing. With her other hand she draws out a grapple gun.

Kate gestures towards the open spot. An invitation.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene moves in a blur, she's there in a moment. It's just her. The other Death Dalers are on the other roof. She looks over with a nod, her hand moves in what could be a wave. She's....even holstered her handguns, mostly since she could just run away.

Looking Batwoman up and down, Selene smiles, revealing her fangs. Her....fangs. Sharp, small, pointy. Her eyes glitter as she watches silently.

Batwoman has posed:
The mask obscures Batwoman's eyes, but those red lips draw back in a smile that is full of surprise at the sudden movement. But in truth, she's familiar with speedsters. But the sight of those fangs is a different matter entirely.

"I thought *I'm* the one who's supposed to be scaring the bad guys." she offers. "Those don't look like plastic teeth, either. I'm Batwoman." The redhead is unusually calm about all of this, even. After all, if this... creature... wanted her dead, they wouldn't be standing there and smiling at each other.

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
There's a soft laugh, a soft chuckle, her voice a soft, European accented purr. "Batwoman?" she asks, her voice rich with dozens of accents. "Is that....a female bat?" she asks. It's a fair question all things considered, though she does tilt her head just a tiny bit, looking past Batwoman, then back to her once she's satisfied there's no threat.

Maybe, just maybe Selene could let her guard down a little, though being up here on the roof, face to face with, well....Batwoman. Selene's not entirely worried

Batwoman has posed:
Kate Kane shrugs at the question, those red lips retaining the amused grin. The movement shifts her cape slightly apart, showing the red lining and the emblem over her chest. "It seems silly, I know, but the effect on the local criminal element is remarkable." Thanks to the efforts of a certain male Bat. "That's what the Gotham vigilantes -do-, by the way. We fight the criminals that the GCPD either can't or won't fight."

Another look at the shorter woman's fangs. "I'm going to take a guess that you're not associated with the local drug traffic. I'll even take another guess that you're not entirely human, either."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods slowly. "Believe me. I understand. We're not so different. We both fight for what we believe in" she says softly, speaking with a definite truth to her voice, she souunds genuine and sincere, even if her words are clipped, foregin with a dozen accents in her voice. Compared to Batwoman, Selene's dressed less like a traditional superhero, with her signature style. Leather long coat, full of everything she may need. That is Selene's costume.

"Are you really human?" Selene asks, fangs clicking as she speaks, solely down to her tilting her head from side to side watching Batwoman. The question of the drug trade gets her to give an amused snort. "No. I despise them. I despise everyone responsible for the new drugs on the streets" she says, her voice having an anger to it now. "I despise them as much as I despise my own enemies" she says just a little cryptically. Or at least the 'my enemies' part is cryptic though.

Not moving an inch, Selene moves a hand and pulls a vial out of her pocket of her coat, drinking it in one motion, the vial returned to her pocket of her long coat with one smooth, swift motion.

Batwoman has posed:
"I'm human enough when I take off this costume and count the bruises." Batwoman offers, her smile becoming wry. "But it sounds like we at least have one enemy in common." The grapple gun remains lowered, the tall redhead standing casual yet alert. "Perhaps we can help each other, then. You know about the drug trade, at least."

She lets the implications of a partnership sink in for a moment. "Sharing intel never hurts, if nothing else. And TWO noctournal predators are four times more dangerous than one." Yes, Batwoman does sense a little reluctance in that cryptic statement about 'my enemies'.

"No need to put all your cards on the table right now, of course. Just think about it."

Selene (Underworld) has posed:
Selene nods to Batwoman. "My name is Selene" she says. "My war is with the lycans, and the Hook dealers. I am fighting, we are" she corrects herself, "Fighting a war on two fronts" she adds with a nod. Movement on the ground catches her eye as she's remebering 'Batwoman' as a name to see if she can run into again. Instead, Selene hears her Death Dealers move, and she's moving, pushing her body to its limits and vanishes, or seems to. She's dangerous, smart, and.....brutal. She's also not on the rooftop any more, the movement having piqued her interest. There is, though a scrap of paper that fell out of her pocket with Selene's name and the 'New World Coven' written on it in a scribbled font. Selene's already liking Batwoman. She didn't try to kill the vampire, for one thing. Plus they are after the same enemy.
