Cast of Characters: Mercy Thompson, Thomas Raith

Mercy Thompson has posed:
The Blue Lady. Mercy's here dressed in her usual green T-shirt, jeans, and her work boots. She's got her hair untied, and settles at a table near the bar. Sure, she's not fitting in, period clothing or theme wise for this club but she doesn't want to. Instead she's perusing the menu. It's been a while since she's here, but Mercy's remembering it. The food. The owner. Oh yes, the owner who decided to be different and interesting too.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Its slow, as evenings go in the club. And that owner, in a crisp white on white suit is making his way around the room. He greets patrons, flirts shamelessly, and moves on. There is no doubt that he noticed Mercy, several minutes ago in fact. But his not approaching of her table feels less like avoidance and more like saving the best for last. Sure enough, even as he heads for her, the waitress can be seen bringing that same crystal decanter he always drinks from and seeing it down across from her. He smiles playfully and says "Of all the gin joints in all of the world and yadda yadda yadda..

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy smiles looking across the table with a wry smile as she orders a water, burger and fries. Mercy nods looking to the suit. "Ah, hello again" Mercy says with a smile, her eyes lighting up too. "How've you been?" she asks, keeping her lamb pendant under her t-shirt. Not that she'll need it. Hopefully, but if she does she can get to it easily. Then again, the Blue Lady's a laid back club in her mind.

Mercy looks amused at the crystal decanter before she relaxes some.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith gives her that devilishly charming grin, deep blue eyes dancing with mischief. "Would you mind if I joined you?" he asks, not sitting but pouring the deep amber liquid over the ice in the glass that the waitress brought.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Feel fre" Mercy nods and watches how the liquid falls over the ice and the glass, as she's watching Thomas and the table as well. "Please, come and join me" she nods with a gesture and a smile. Looking over, Mercy looks serious about being okay with company.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith takes the seat. He smiles over at her,"Please forgive me. I'm absolutely horrid with names, but I rarely forget a face. certainly not one as lovely as the one in front of me." or perhaps he rarely forgets the site of prey that got away.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy looks amused. "Mercy" she says watching him with a smile, a nod as she's complimented. Thanking him, Mercy looks amused watching him, as if she can read him....somehow. Then again, Mercy's a trouble magnet. She's just sitting back waiting to see where this goes.

Thomas Raith has posed:
And the Devil knows, and God suspects, that Thomas cannot resist trouble. "So then, Mercy, this is the second time that you have let me catch you all by yourself. One might think that you want to be caught.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy raises an eyebrow. "Who says I let you catch me?" she asks sweetly. "I am a coyote, we're resourceful" she says, revealing that litle bit of information. "If I let you catch me, I'd be in a net biting through a catch pole. Even if you're the one holding the pole with the net on it" she says. Trouble, indeed.

Thomas Raith has posed:
"But isn't that when the game is the most fun," he sips his drink. "When the two hunters dance? Fox and eagle. Cobra and mongoose." Another sip and he adds "And to the Victor go the spoils."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Indeed" Mercy nods with a wry grin. "Indeed, it is. History is littered with hunters dancing through the ages and locations, from the ancient civilizations like Greece or Rome, to modern times" she says, starting on a historical listing of hunters dancing. It's quite a long list. Mercy's history degree is useful after all.
