Synopsis: And Twinkies were had by all!
Cast of Characters: Beast, Nightingale, Jubilee, Armor, Shadowcat

Beast has posed:
On a grassy field in Central Park is setup a large stage. A backdrop drapery is hung behind it with the Hostess logo. People with signs have been handing out Twinkies all morning, pointing people to Central park and asking What's Next for the Twinkie?

So a crowd has arrived by the time the show is supposed to start, and then some dramatic music starts to play. A young woman comes on stage and speaks over a microphone "We at Hostess know America loves the Twinkie, but we can't just stay the same. We have to find something fresh, and new, to shake things up. Allow me to introduce scientist and Nobel Laureate Doctor Henry P. McCoy to explain the latest thing coming with the Twinkie!"

She starts clapping and steps aside, as Hank steps on stage. In a Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts, though the shirt has Twinkie the Kid all over it instead of the usual hawaiian print.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon covers her mouth to stifle a laugh; this was not a side of Hank she had ever expected to see. It was good to get out and about with some of the others from school for a change. As the days wore on and it grew easier for her to relax, her smile came out more readily, and she began to seek out opportunities to get out once in a while. So when the trip to Central Park was proposed to show a little support for Hank in this venture, she didn't hesitate to jump on board. She's dressed in her cream cotton poet's blouse, blue jeans with ribbon embroidery around the cuffs, and her daisy flip-flops in deference to the warm weather. Though her wings are in a more relaxed pose, she does keep them close to her body just to avoid knocking anybody around with them. "Oh, my..."

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee is, as always, there for Hank. His obsession with Twinkies is a rare and amazing thing, and she will always indulge him. She watches proudly as Hank takes the stage, and whoops loudly as he does. "Woo! Go Haaank!!" She likes Hank about as much as she likes fudgecicles.

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki was going to work when she heard about this Twinkie thing. Knowing Dr. McCoy enjoys Twinkies, she shows up herself to see what's going on. Then he's on stage! She laughs, and starts moving closer to get a good look, also taking out her phone to start taking pictures for him. Then seeing Jubilee, she'll make her way toward the teacher to watch.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde like anyone else, checks her phone during slow moments at work. So when she saw a tweet on the school's private feed mentioning something Twinkie-related in Central Park today? Kitty canceled her lunch plans with Janice from Accounting. She really didn't feel like telling her why the trip to the Shawarma Palace that Janice had suggested had fallen through.

The appearance of the Michael Jackson flash mob outside the eatery had been welcome. The appearance of the two Sentinels? Not as much.

Kitty double checks she hasn't left behind her device to defeat mutant detectors, this time, slides her purse over her shoulder and leaves her lab along with many of the other employees heading out for lunch on the beautiful Friday.

She emerges from Stark Tower, sliding sunglasses onto her face before setting off for Central Park which is just a short distance away. Her slacks swish quietly, and Kitty wishes she had a chance to go change out of work attire first. But no time if she's going to make the event. She arrives in the park, making her way over to the crowd, which seems to have plenty of kids thanks to the mention of Twinkies.

Hearing a familiar "Woo!" Kitty glances around until she spots Jubilation. Kitty makes her way over and sees Hisako doing the same thing. "More of a Ding-Dong fan but don't tell Hank," Kitty says, leaning close to Hisako to say it. She grins to the student and moves over with her to join Jubilee. "Hey Jubes. What's the big event?" she asks quietly.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is on stage, and looks at the crowd. He has to stifle a big grin to start speaking. "Having doctorates in biochemistry and biophysics, it sometimes comes to me to do experiments with food. I was working on a plan for the Twinkie to do something truly amazing but. When I was done, all that happened was that it turned... blue." He pauses, and laughs come from the crowd.

Then he lifts his arms, looks down at himself, and the laughs intensify.

"At least it didn't turn fuzzy." he adds, and some folks just lose it.

"Anyway, I know how it is to feel blue," and the laughs continue but he speaks over them, "and usually when I feel that way I reach for a Twinkie. And that's what I did... only this time I grabbed the blue twinkie." This time he chuckles. "And the good news is, it tasted great. Presenting the Limited Edition Moonberry Twinkies, from Hostess."

A new backdrop falls over the old, showing a large illustration of a box of Moonberry Twinkies. Two women come up on stage, one handing Hank a box, and all three start firing off moonberry twinkies into the crowd. "Exclusively for sale at Megalomart for $2.97. Try one!"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon can't help laughing this time, clapping in support of the surprisingly quirky and fun Hank, who had been so protective and kind on her arrival at school. She sees Kitty in the crowd, and jostles her way through the throng to join her. As the bizarre-looking Twinkies are fired off into the crowd, she snags one out of the air like one might catch Mardi Gras beads at a parade, chuckling. "Hey, Kitty... how's it going?"

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki waves to Jubilee as she trise to capture Hank's entire speech on video. And naturally she tries to catch one of Twinkies he tosses! With the speech done, she looks around at the crowd, and seeing Shannon and Kitty, waves her arm up high to them.

Shadowcat has posed:
The announcement gets a small grin from Kitty, as does Shannon's arrival. "Hey there," she says. She motions up towards the stage and says privately, "Totally didn't see blue Twinkies on the Moon," she says in a joking tone, and figuring no one will actually take her serious about having been there even if they overhear. Kitty watches one of the twinkies pass overhead but doesn't try to grab it. It ends up caught by a mother who passes it to her kids. "How are you all doing?" Kitty asks of Hisako, Shannon and Jubilee. "Gorgeous day out here isn't it? Hopefully it doesn't get too hot again. I think I might take the rest of the afternoon off," she says.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy makes sure to aim a few Moonberry Twinkies at familiar faces in the crowd, so they all get one. He keeps one for himself, and walks off the stage as music starts playing, and the presentation moves on to the next phase, with a man in a blue Twinkie suit going up on stage. He approaches the group as it's formed. "That was fun. And these are a change of pace from the regular. Glad to see I have so much support from the crew."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon grins and tears right through the wrapper on her Twinkie, breaking it in half to offer to Kitty. "These taste better shared, anyways." Her half of the treat disappears in short order, the berry taste catching her off-guard. She looks down at the odd blue confection and tilts her head. "Huh. Wonder if these would make a good base for a trifle..."

She smiles and waves to Hank, trying not to laugh at his shirt. "Did you really think you wouldn't have any support, after everything you do to look out for all of us? Come on. And seriously. Twinkies. Enough said." She glances back at the stage, and just shakes her head. "I really don't envy whoever has to wear that costume. They must be roasting in there!"

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki holds up her Twinkie, but manages to do a V sign with that hand anyway, and takes a very carefully aimed selfie. Then she walks up to hank, and takes another one with him. "Dr. McCoy, you did very well, and you will always have our support." Then she adds to Kitty "I am very well thank you Ms. Pryde. I hope you are handling the weather better than the person in the suit."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde accepts the offered twinkie half from Shannon. "Thank you," she says warmly. Kitty turns to smile to Hank as he comes down from the stage. "I had no idea you were involved with Hostess," she tells him, chuckling. "So how long has this been in the making?" she asks, glancing up at the stage.

Kitty will move over to offer Hank a quick snug of greeting, then turn back to the others. "So how are you all doing? Yes, it's a little warm in this, just came from the office," Kitty says of her slacks and blouse. "I can't wait to get changed and start the weekend."

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy ruffles Hisako and Shannon in turn, followed by giving Jubilee a quick one armed hug. "Thanks all. Kitty, what I said up there was almost true. I reached out to them with some ideas. They didn't turn out, but they had their own idea and we worked out the deal. I've known about these for... a month? It's been tough not menioning them with all my fried Twinkie experiments. So how are they?"

Jubilee has posed:
Jubilee is intensely curious about the twinkieshooters, so she's to be found off to one side of Hank's stage, peering into one after they've fired all their ammunition. "Bet you coulda put a buncha confetti in there..." Her voice echoes back at her as her face disappears into the cannon, still talking to herself. She's dressed for the heat in cutoffs and a midriff-bearing yellow baby-tee with her pink Converse sneakers. She squeaks when Hank hugs her, and turns around quickly with a giggle. "Hiya Handsome!"

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki giggles at the ruffle, and loooks to Jubilee. "Those are usually used at Baseball games to shoot t-shirts at people. So they can shoot a Twinkie very far." She does open her Twinkie finally, and very carefully takes a bite. "It is very sweet." she nods.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon looks almost like a little kid with blue crumbs on her face, and grins widely. "Pretty good. Bet there's a lot you could do with these... but they're great on their own." She looks surprised at the ruffle, but smiles; it wasn't such a bad thing, really. She looks over and smiles at Hisako and waves, not recognizing her. "Hi... not sure we've met. Name's Shannon."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles and says, "Not bad at all," of the blue twinkie. She doesn't tell Hank of her preference for Ding-Dongs, though there may be a prank forming in her head for later. Kitty smiles over to Jubilee. "One of those would be great for graduation ceremonies, with the confetti."

Kitty glances back to everyone. "Is there more to it planned, Hank?" she asks. "Photoshoot maybe? Are we going to see you on any commercials or anything?"

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy gestures with his Twinkie before eating it. "We already did a photo shoot, and one TV ad. This is actually it. I have asked for a case of the stuff to be delivered. I might as well enjoy them since my face is now going to be permanently associated with this scheme. And yeah, Jub, we could make one of those if you want one. Shannon, Hisako. She's one of our seniors."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon giggles, eyes twinkling. "I hope that's a case each? Otherwise, there goes my clothing budget for the month!" Yeah, for all she was a healer, she had a sweet tooth to beat 'em all. She brushes the crumbs off of her hand before reaching out to shake Hisako's hand, smiling. Too, she smiles at Jubilee, lifting her chin a notch by way of greeting. It was such a shame they hadn't gotten to really talk much when she got to the school. Maybe one day soon that could change.

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki bows to Shannon slightly, before also returning the handshake. "It is a pleasure to meet you Shannon. I have seen you around the school though. But I have to go to my part time job now, thank you for the Twinkie Dr. McCoy." And with a smile to everyone, she heads off.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty glances over as a pair of boys are fighting over who gets the last twinkie. They end up smooshing it on their hands, glaring at each other first. But then seeming to realize... hey. Smooshed twinkie. They eat it anyway, causing her to chuckle and shakes her head as she glances back.

"Well, good luck with the commercial then. I think you should have held out for more than just one box," Kitty tells Hank. "We'll have to get you an agent if this keeps up," she tells him. "Shannon, be careful heading back," she says. Kitty glances up towards the sky, making sure there aren't any giant robots about. "Speaking of, I think I'm going to go get changed. Jubes, take care," she says with a smile.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy fixes his shirt, and chuckles as he sees the fight going on. "Silly customer. You cannot harm a Twinkie. And yes, if anyone wants to go back with me, I'm going to have extras on the train.."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods and smiles. "Maybe I'll see you around, Hisako!" She waves as the other girl leaves, and shrugs. There would be plenty of time to meet others on another day. She looks back towards Kitty and Hank, her eyebrows going up. "What? Only one box? You really got rooked." She giggles softly, ruffling her wings. "Sure, could use a ride back. It's a bit of a flight otherwise."
