Frank Quaid has posed:
The Trask Industries Bergen County facility search was taking a lot longer than assumed. Initially, NYPD assumed a week to do the onsite work. The proved to be wildly optimistic. Physical evidence alone would take weeks more. Digital forensics was a whole other beast. Trask's people had been busy deleting information and shredding files ahead of the raid. Seizing all the servers much less reconstructing lost data was a laborious and careful process, lest information be overwritten and lost.

NYPD has taken over a neighbouring warehouse to the Trask facility. They are using it as a command center and primary evidence processing site for the search. A second warehouse nearby was being used as storage for physical evidence that would be held for court. There are uniformed and plainclothes police and FBI people everywhere. The area has been turned into a small police village. The roads are blocked on either side of the Trask facility. ID is checked there, then again going into the parking lot. Visitor's ID and vehicle information is copied into the visitor registry and people are issued visitor badges for the factory site itself with different colours depending on each visitor's function and access level.

Frank is issued a limited access blue pass. He has access to the surface assembly and repair hangar, which looks like one of those giant aircraft hangars. He also has access to the administration building. The sub-surface levels are strictly off limits to him. All visitors are warned that all cellular communications on site are routed through NYPD controlled towers for security purposes.

Small electric vehicles with rows of seats are used to ferry people from the facility gates to the administration building. People are coming and going, some in bunny suits, some in uniforms, some obviously police, some probably police scientists.
