Proceeding At A Gallop
Date of Scene: 14 August 2019
Location: Horse Stables - Xavier's School
Synopsis: Peter and Kitty prepare for a ride on the school's horses.
Cast of Characters: Shadowcat, Spider-Man

Shadowcat has posed:
The day is warm, but not unreasonably so. Kitty decked herself out in actual riding pants. The fact the school has horses meant she knew she'd get a chance to wear them without it looking off. And once she saw what they looked like in the mirror?

Oh, yeah. She was getting them.

So it is she walks out the stables in the light grey pants and dark top, with a western style hat on her head. She'd sent some text messages but didn't know if anyone would meet her for the ride or not. She's brought a few things, some food and beverages, to put into the saddle bags to have some refreshments around.

"Hey there Chestnut," Kitty says, going over to her favorite brown mare. She pulls out a carrot for the horse, feeding her while patting her nose.

Spider-Man has posed:
There's a lot of things Pete has done in his days, but one of them is not ride a horse. There's been no real need for it, afterall, and even fewer opertunity living in Queens. Ofcourse there's mounted officers, but those are special horses that are not available for the norms, so it is that when he gets a text from Kitty, he shows up.. but it is not at all because the notion of riding horses is appealing to him.

Nor is he dressed for the occation, if we're being particularly honest.

He's wearing pants, for a change, and even a pair of sneakers, but they're blue-jeans rather than the riding sort and he still has on a t-shirt. His METS cap, however, is missing.

Which is not at all something he's particularly happy about because it was one of the items misplaced on the bus the day before.

"Hey, Kits." Fingers sliding back into his unruly hair to push it all back out of his face only for it to fall right back into it... pausing, then restarting his steps in such a way that he kicks over a bucket in his path, "Whoa, hey.. who put that there.." Just right that, kneeling down to turn the bucket back upright, "You look... uh.. amazing." Which she basically always does in his opinion.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty takes a little meandering path over to Peter, going to first one side of the stables, and then the other. It's pretty obvious she's showing off the pants. They would fall under a special, little-discussed category of clothing known to women as 'great-ass pants'.

Kitty has something in hand, hiding it behind her back as best as she can. "I was hoping you'd show up," she tells him with a big smile. "I brought something special for you just in case you did," she says. Kitty pulls out a tan cowboy hat, one that both sides of the head are curled up. And prominent on the front is a New York Mets logo.

(like this but Mets: maxresdefault.jpg)

She offers it over to him and says, "Figured you'd want to be all decked out for it and all. And I wasn't sure if you found your hat in the museum kerfluffle," she comments, glancing up at the handsomely curl brown locks that are left exposed for a change.

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete is not at all bashful about watching Kitty showing off those aforementioned, but little-discussed, catagory of pants. Particularly, he looks ellated to do so. It is no small honor for him, point of fact. Why, it could be said he's proper delighted... even giddy by it.

When she makes her way over, he pops up and tries to smooth his hair back... it is ineffective. He really misses his hat. Then Kitty offers him a new one, wide eyed and grinning goofily as he takes it, "Whoa, babe.. Thank you!" Another push of his brown curls, only this time they're locked in place with the hat sliding onto his head. Two fingers snap along the brim in her direction, "Lil lady..." With a properly dorky Western voice.

"yeah... about that." The kerfuffle, "Sorry.. I.. didn't.. I feel kind of.. I mean.." It wasn't his fault, there's no way he could have known about Rhino, but does that stop him feeling guilty for all those injured children? Absolutely not. Eyes down for a second, merth completely drained out of him. "I felt like such an idiot.." Rubbing at that little spot right up near the base of his skull with the tips of his fingers.
