Synopsis: Surge, Moonstar, Shannon, Josh and Kitty seek out Spawn to gather necroplasma for Wanda Maximoff's protection spell for the school
Cast of Characters: Spawn, Shadowcat, Surge, Nightingale, Moonstar, Elixir
Tinyplot: Protect Xavier's

Spawn has posed:
Rat Alley, the hidden shame of Bludhaven and the open infected wound that society refused to look at for fear of offending their delicate sensibilities. While a few miles away Tony Stark and Reed Richards were busy trying to create heaven on earth through technological wonder, here people existed in misery as if it were still the dark ages.

A collection of small narrow alleyways and winding concrete labyrinthian paths gave this miniature 'city' part of its namesake, and many of those alleys and small nooks and crannies were littered in cardboard boxes and makeshift buildings, with others converting old rusted dumpsters into general shelters that were covered in old magazines and newspapers in an effort to protect people from tetanus. Sometimes it worked.

    Sometimes.

There were also a few bombed out abandoned storefronts and empty 'businesses', the real prime real estate that served as general 'hostels' for many at a time, mainly the women and truly sickly people who needed as much shelter as they could get. All except for one such storefront, the broken windows all boarded up and the area plunged into darkness. It was here that one solitary figure sat, resting and biding his time. His glowing green eyes watched the main 'door' with suspicion. Waiting to come face to face with those that pursued him...

Shadowcat has posed:
The requirements for the protection spell planned by Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange and Illyana included necroplasma. Kitty had never heard of it before, but the information on it indicated it was literally the stuff from which Hell is made, and had all manner of magical properties. Which is exactly why it was needed.

"Ok, this stuff is dangerous," Kitty had said as she read over the harmful effects it might have in contact with the body. It sounded like listening to the commercial for a new drug. "Just missing the irritated bowel movements," she commented under her breath.

The containers they were given by Wanda were simple enough. If they could get some of the substance inside, they would seal automatically (automagically?) and keep it preserved until it was needed in the spell. "So this is like, fill the container with lava but don't burn yourself doing it," Kitty had said at the briefing, shaking her head. "This one won't be easy."

The Scarlet Witch had given them a location. Bludhaven. One of the roughest parts known as Rat Alley. The team had assembled, taking the Blackbird there and landing her away from the populace, then making their way quietly into Rat Alley. Eventually, through talking to people, they end up outside of the storefront with the boarded up windows. "Sounds like this is the place," Kitty says, wearing her Shadowcat uniform.

She looks around the team. "Moonstar, Surge and I will approach and try to talk some of the substance out of the being. If it's something that talks back. But let's be ready for anything. Josh, you are on healing duty. Shannon, get airborne and keep an eye out, warn us over comms of what you see. Try to stay out of the way of combat if it turns into a fight," she says. Kitty looks around the group, seeing if there are any issues with that. If not, she heads for the entrance to the store, calling out, "Hello! We're just looking to talk with you!" she says. She checks that she has her container handy, just in case.

Surge has posed:
"I feel like I'm in a bad acid trip or a mid 90s HBO cartoon." Surge, wearing her yellow New Mutants top, blue leggings, and gun-metal gray gauntlets with a black leather jacket thrown over for style purposes... or maybe to protect herself from tetanus.., says with a grimace as she moves along beside Kitty. The collar tugged up with both metal sheathed hands, "Terrible night to have a curse, amirite?"

Two fingers touch against the comm unit in her ear to send off a test, but she remains otherwise silent as they enter Rat Alley, trying to stay frosty despite her usual chatty nature. This place actually gives her the heebies, because she's sane.

"Don't mind us... definitely here to negociate with a demon..." Muttering under her breath, hand going down to check her own container dangling from her thick belt just to be certain it's still there.

Nightingale has posed:
Holy hell. Twice in two days. Shannon had -not- expected to be drawn into something like this. But when the call to duty went out, it wasn't something she could ignore, either. Something in her just would not let her run or turn it down. Where was the calm in the heat of the moment the night before that had helped her through? And why had they called her, just a few weeks into her time with them? Still, even though she was shaking just a little, she nods, sparing a hug for Josh before taking to the air. She's in her favorite jeans, a white t-shirt, and white sneakers, with her hair pinned up in a bun at the back of her head. She wasn't part of any team just yet, so no fancy uniforms for her. She taps the comm unit in her ear, to test the connection. "Sound check... eyes in the sky, flying high."

Moonstar has posed:
Shaking her head as they depart towards where this was going down, Dani Moonstar remains skeptical. Looking at each of them in kind, she frowns, but doesn't call her Asgarian accoutrements yet. She is wearing her version of her costume, all yellow and black and feathers.

With a final nod towards Kitty, Dani gets ready for this to go south, but hoping it won't come to that. She has her spear in her hand, Gurnir itself, and gets ready for what can only be described as bad "Ghostbusters" fan fiction. Really? Ectoplasm?

As Kitty calls out, Dani's eyes are on. She moves slightly in front of everyone, and readies herself to be the first to be in the line of danger. Now was the time for the Asgardian armor and helm to form around her. Strangely, she feels almost naked without Brightwind there beside her, but this was not a place where a winged horse would "blend in". Echoing Noriko, Dani says, "Right...don't mind us..." Hearing Shannon in the air almost brings a smile to Dani's lips.

Elixir has posed:
Josh hugs Shannon and winks. "You'll do great," he assures her and watches the young mutant take off.

The golden skinned man wore his dark coloured uniform with the dark grey X patches. He added gloves and balaclava made of the same material as their suits. Shiny gold skin was neither stealthy nor covert. Josh leans against a wall just around a corner where he can stay out of sight but look in if need be.

Spawn has posed:
When Kitty speaks out, at first nothing happens. The door opens easily enough, creaking loudly into the warm night sky and the building itself is nearly pitch black and if anyone introduces any light to the environment, they'll be able to see that the walls, floor and ceiling are all covered in red leatherish cloth material, like the worst wallpaper of all time. It seems to shift and move ever so slightly in a night breeze that isn't present, and from the ceiling chains dangle ominously while rattling any time they're touched.

"I know when I'm being tailed. I'm still a professional."

The impossibly deep voice comes from the center of that cramped room, where the red material seems to converge and rise up from the ground in a way that wraps around the vague humanoid shape who stands there. It almost resembles a cape, complete with the tall 'Dracula' collar and the thin chain keeping it connected to his black and white armor. That same armor covers the figure's face entirely, save for the bright glowing green of his eyes. They narrow.

"You've come here to talk, alright then. You've got ten seconds to talk, before getting the hell out of my alley."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty has a small flashlight she slips out of a pocket as she sees how dark it is inside. She has some other equipment too. Equipment that some members of the team might be really surprised to see. There's a sword strapped to her back with a Japanese style handle. Also a thin utility belt of some sort about her waist.

Shadowcat turns on the flashlight and shines it about the room as she moves in and to the side, making way for Moonstar and Surge to enter with her. The light cast by the small, but powerful flashlight illuminates the room, the beam soon coming to fall on the being at the center of the red material.

She's expecting some kind of demonic being, so the possibility of a fight looms large in her mind. The chance to talk seems welcome though. "Tailing you yes," Kitty says, thinking their approach was noticed and not considering there might have been someone else tailing the being. "We came for a substance. Necroplasma. It's important that we get some," Shadowcat says, though not understanding exactly what the substance means to a being like Spawn.

Surge has posed:
This is all very spooky and well outside of Surge's wheelhouse.

The fact that they're in some dank ass alley in the middle of Bludhaven is not making this fact any keener in her mindseye or easier to accept. Much less so when the person they've been tailing speaks up in his deep voice from the center of a room so dark the wiring on her gauntlets might as well be a lighthouse beacon. "Super glad I agreed to this." She groans, likely not for the first time and certainly not for the last.

"We come in peace, my dude." Raising a hand up to shield dark adjusted eyes against the beacon of the unholy glow coming off Shadowcat's flashlight. "Just want some necroplasma and, bing pow, Bob's your uncle, we're out of her like roaches when the lights on."

Nightingale has posed:
So far, so good. Shannon's well above the building, with her eye on the area immediately surrounding. So far, so good, it didn't seem like anything was happening outside. Yet. She remains hovering in the air, hopefully out of range of any short-range weapons or projectiles, though she has no training to really gauge this sort of thing yet. In her case, it's very much hope, pray, wait and see. "So far so good out here, nothing crawling out of the woodwork."

Moonstar has posed:
Hearing the being's voice, Dani tenses and opens up her senses to be ready, just in case. Her eyes easily adjust to the darkness...or the light. "Hel. An interesting choice of words." Dani watches, and waits, letting Kitty do the talking. Dani was more an action person than talky talky. Her eyes watch Spawn, carefully, ready in case this didn't go well, as Kitty explains why they were here.

Looking sideways at Surge, Dani smirks, and almost laughs. It does seem...preposterous as to why they were here. Although, Dani's definition of wierd has expanded in recent months...I mean, riding a "pegasus"? Right? "As long as you can provide us the necroplasma of course. I'm sure we can trade for something, or just be friends and all that?"

Not noticing Josh right now, but hearing Shannon on comms, Dani whispers, "We have encountered our new friend. We'll keep you updated as we find out if friend or foe."

Elixir has posed:
Josh stays outside just around the corner of the building from the door. He makes a face at the sound of Mr. Creepy's voice but stays quiet. He does glance up to catch a glimpse of where his... student? trainee? protege? friend? is flying and nods, satisfied.

Spawn has posed:
The walls and ceiling all start to shift and morph, until soon it's all 'shrunk' back to the being in the center. Now it is a slightly more reasonable and manageable length, as he walks up to the group who have entered his abode. Those glowing green eyes seem to narrow despite being part of that leathery mask, and it can be occasionally seen that underneath the cape, he is armed with a pistol strapped to his right thigh, and who knows what else hidden elsewhere.

He seems to be looking down at their uniforms, to the shoulders of Noriko, and finally to the armored woman. At her 'Hel' comment his gaze lingers on her for a few moments, before he speaks again.

"And somehow, if you get a good spoonful of Hellfire, that'll somehow help the plight of Mutant suffering?"

Judging from his pronunciation, he didn't seem to share a great deal of sympathy for 'the cause'.

"Too bad whatever you've all got planned didn't come in time to help the Morlocks, or the ones considered too weak to put on those fancy little costumes. I've heard enough about you wanting to play with knives and run with scissors. It's time you got to steppin'."

At this, his cape unfurled, and the chains wrapped around his waist and torso seemed to unfurl as well, hovering around him defensively.

Shadowcat has posed:
Shadowcat eyes the cape as it retracts into the being. Or more likely she's eyeing the chains that also have shifted positions as they treated towards him. She takes a small step or two away from Dani and Surge, spreading them out further as Spawn approaches them.

The comment about mutant suffering draws a quiet, "Something like that, yes. It's for a good cause," she tells him, though wondering if this creature is someone that would see a 'good' cause as a positive thing or not.

Shadowcat's head tilts to the side. "What, because we couldn't help everyone, we shouldn't help those we can?" she asks. But further conversation on that topic is cut short as the chains and cape take on a menacing appearance. Shadowcat's hand slips up over her shoulder, moving to the sword handle with the same accuracy she could touch her elbow without looking at it.

"We're not looking for a fight. Just a sample and we will be on our way and you'll never hear from us again," Shadowcat says, trying to avert the direction things seem to be heading.

Meanwhile outside, a pair of kids, ages 8 and 10 come around a corner. Dressed shabbily, one of them has a fat lip, and is dabbing his finger at it checking for blood. The older one points up in the air. "Bobby, it's a winged lady!" he says as he spots Shannon.

Surge has posed:
"Yeah man, we-" Surge should let Kitty talk, she really should.. She was trying not to poke the necrobear. Talking about morlocks and fancy suits and all that junk. She had her hands up trying to defuse, "Let's just k-..." Her gaze settles on the chains unravelling from around Big Creeps and his Cape doing hella unnatural things behind him.

"Come say that to my face, you Texas Chainsaw lookin' mother fucker." There goes her temper, popping things off when diplomacy was just getting started. They wanted Surge upfront though, right? Jedi and their Lightning Negociations or whatever.

Nightingale has posed:
Oh crap. Shannon frowns as she spots the little ones below, and taps her comms. "Nightingale here... you've got kids outside. Try to keep a lid on things while I get them out of the area?" She descends quickly, on something of a hair trigger since the day before, and not keen on seeing these young ones become casualties. She backwings to a landing next to them, folding in her wings and crouching to be more on eye level. "Hey guys... everything okay?"

Moonstar has posed:
"It might help." Dani says in response to his "plight of mutant sufferring" comment. It was obvious he wasn't being "friendly" from his stance and tone. That made Dani tense just a little bit more, and ready herself. Moonstar does nothing to provoke an incident, but she was ready to defend her teammates.

When the chains wrapped around him unfurl, and Spawn takes an aggressive stance, Dani readies herself. As Kitty talks, Dani moves slowly closer, twirling Gugnir easily, and with expert precision. Surge starts in on him, but Dani doesn't look at her.

That was when the Valkyrie, Moonstar, truly looks at him with her "Death Stare". "You...are...dead. Cursed!" Her visage goes dark, and her eyes grow cold. "You died...alone...and said yes, to the Great Deceiver." Her voice was dripping pity and sadness. "You gave up a life..a good life! A soldier! You want to help others...so help us!"

Dani's voice was not loud, but penetrated the air with a shockingly emotional bent. "I feel...your...pain. Help us, and perhaps I can help you on your journey..." Dani lets lose her empathic powers, and feels the pain, so deep! Her mind is in excrutiating pain, so much so she closes her eyes, and her face, the part visible beneath the winged helm of the Valkyrie, is a sketch in anguish.

Elixir has posed:
"Make it quick Shannon," Josh says quietly and quickly over comms. "Force it if you have to."

Josh crosses his arms and purses his lips. He is not particularly eager to see necroplasma start flying.

Spawn has posed:
"Girl, I'm not giving you a damn thing, especially nothing as dangerous as what you're asking for. Between extremists and murderers like old man Magneto, and your half dozen other enemies, I give it a month tops before some psycho gets their hands on material not meant for this world. I don't know what you're planning with it, but find something else or don't bother."

He starts to turn, though he glances up at Noriko's challenge. His eyes flash dangerously, but his mask seems to move in something like a...grin? Was that just an optical illusion?

"There's a lot of fire in you, I like that. You better hold on to that when Kelly or one of his fanboys runs for the big job. That jackass is gonna set everything on fire."

And that was the end of it, with Spawn turning to take his leave peacefully, if unhelpfully for the group. He got a few steps when Dani started speaking. And instantly he was wheeling back around on a dime, his eyes glowing violently, and four of those chains instantly snaking down across the ground to try and wrap around the valkyrie's ankles, in an effort to sweep her off her feet and fling her violently around the walls, ceiling and floor. If they were not prepared for this, then Dani might be surprised by the strength that those chains seemed to have inside them, they could easily fling her around like a ragdoll all day.

"You DARE walk where you aren't invited?!"

Shadowcat has posed:
Shadowcat sees the Valkyrie closing her eyes and she drifts back closer. What Dani is saying sounds good. Kitty has no insights into this Spawn person, but it sounds like Dani does, and so maybe her appeal to-

Oh shit. Or he might attack.

Which is why Shadowcat had drifted closer to Dani. The sword comes out of its sheath but rather than use it, Shadow cat reaches over to grab Moonstar's shoulder. If she's able, then when the chains get to the Valkyrie, they'll pass right through her like she were an illusion.

"If you're not a fan of Kelly then help us, don't fight us!" Shadowcat spits angrily, the sword lifted to a ready position, her hand on Valkyrie still but light enough the woman can pull free as she chooses.

Surge has posed:
Surge aint so easily placated, she's hot now, threats were threatened.. chains were unrolled.. new down, but Dani steps forward and suddenly there's a flag on the play.

Penalty, illegal use of creepy magic.

"Leave her alone!" Both of her gauntlets jut forward, crackling with a sudden current of electricity across the surface of her body as it's pulled directly from the reserves inside her and focused against curled knuckles into a pair of (admittedly and intentionally smaller) electric blue blasts errupting from her fist towards the source of the chains grabbing for her friend.. She don't even care if they grab her.

She was pissed off /before/ he flexed.

A sharp flash of blue illuminates the room like a miniture explosion. WHOOOOP... "Don't make me fuck you up, my dude.. I skipped breakfast for this shit and I'm hangry."

Nightingale has posed:
The two boys looked at each other for a moment, a little dumbfounded. Sure, the winged lady was pretty and all, and they'd never seen anyone with actual, really honest-to-god /wings/ on them, but there she was, in the flesh. A pretty girl, actually talking to /them/. The younger of the pair speaks up, his fat lip getting in the way just a bit. "You an angel, lady?"

Shannon just laughs and shakes her head. "No, just a little bit different. Looks like you got yourself into a bit of a scrape there, though. Why don't you two come on over this way and let me have a look at that?" Using her wings as well as her arms, she rises up to standing, herding the boys away from the darkened building, getting them farther and farther away from danger.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani was prepared for the assault, but that still didn't stop it from being effective. The chains were about to wrap around her feet and ankles, and before she could defend against it, but then Kitty saves her! She can feel the menace in the chains as they pass through her....and she gasps! The darkness in the mystical chains!

Even though they did not hit Dani, they impacted with her soul...hard. Knocking the wind out of her. Landing hard on the floor, Dani gasps in pain. Kneeling on the ground, now away from Kitty's touch and trying to recover, Dani catches her breath. Damn mystical combat...she was out of it for a bit, recovering...vaguely she felt Surge's attack, Shannon's words, and Josh's presence...

Elixir has posed:
Josh walks around the corner when the man with the creepy voice gets angry and Surge gets angry and well... That's a lot of angry.

He opens the door and steps inside. Dani on the floor, in pain but no pain in her body? Kitty phased. Snaking chains. Electric blue glowing. Strange man in a cape. So much adrenaline.

Josh tilts his head and looks at Spawn. The mutant gains a golden aura. Then Josh looks very curious. To him, there is just nothing there!

Spawn has posed:
In the heat of battle, it wasn't always easy to retain information. He saw the chains pass and 'miss' Dani and didn't immediately put together that it was Kitty who caused this, instead he was more focused on the blue haired girl pumping two electrical blasts into his chest. Each one hit their mark casing blue lines of energy to run through the creature's body, along his cape and along the chains that were flying around, but he didn't seem to fall. Instead that right oversized boot of his launched upward, aiming at Surge's chest. If he connected, then with that incredible superior strength and those enhanced reflexes of his, she'd have to be very tough and well trained to stay on her feet and keep from flying through one of those boarded up windows.

"Yeah you're about to skip a lot of things, Blueberry."

Shadowcat has posed:
As Dani falls back from the contact with the chains, Shadowcat turns back towards Spawn in time to see the electric blasts hit him, and his attempted kick of Noriko.

Shadowcat tries to divert his attention away from the Asian teen. "I'm the one asking, your beef is with me!" Shadowcat says, darting towards Spawn to swing the sword towards him. She's not going for a mortal blow, just hoping to wing him in the shoulder or arm and give her people time to rebound.

Maybe such a wound would spurt out some necroplasma? Yeah, and maybe she'll win the lottery.

Surge has posed:
Nori wasn't prepared for the chains... and while she is pretty well trained, relatively speaking anyways, her reflexes aren't any better than a normal well trained girls. One of her gauntlets comes up and flashes with electricity when the chain hits her, but what she intended to do with that energy is made moot as soon as it does. Hurled backwards like a tossed baseball sent sailing along towards short-stop, she smashes through one of the boarded up windows with a loud crash.. Though just before impact she glows a faint golden hue and slides along her padded knees with sparks errupting from the pavement around her metal-sheathed fingertips.

"Oh this mother fucker bout to get his shit pushed in." One of her gauntlets is dented, but they're made out of pretty tough stuff for just this purpose. Outside the window, out of view, Surge throws her hands out wide and starts pulling electricity from 'everywhere'. Every car battery... every street light... every television set.. it's all pulling into slowly clinching fists and running through her like an open circuit until her hair is standing on end.. and her eyes are glowing a dangerous, angry, blue.. "Ahhh.... AHhhhhhHHhhhh...."

She chargin' her laaaaazuuuuurz.

Nightingale has posed:
Shit. This wasn't good! As the sound of wood splintering and Nori's body hitting the ground sounds, Shannon turns with her back to the sound, folding her wings protectively around the two young boys as she shifts from guiding to actively -herding- them away from the building. "It's okay, boys, I've got you... let's get away from there." She didn't have the training of the rest of the team, but even she knew that the farther she got the boys away from the scene of the fighting, the better. She'd have a moment to heal that fat, bloody lip in a second, as soon as they were out of range.

Elixir has posed:
Josh watches Surge fly by through the window and land outside. He picks his way carefully across the floor to the right out of the way of what looks like it will surely be epic. By the power of Greyskull.

"Blueberries," he says wryly. "That's funny."

The whole thing is kind of dreamlike, really.

He looks back toward the... man? The one in the cape that they are fighting. That guy.

"Why are fighting again?" Josh asks nobody in particular curiously, detached. He backs up against the side wall to the right of the entrance.

Spawn has posed:
One Hellspawn against five determined Mutants, it was an ugly situation. Luckily, Shannon took the two homeless boys to whatever could be considered 'safety' in a place like this, at least until they ran off to go find their mother in one of the box houses.

In a forgotten alley a sleeping man slept longer than intended, his electrical pacemaker shorting out even as for the next few blocks televisions and the rare working lights flickered and failed, which meant Noriko would be a force to be reckoned with.

As far as scraps go it wasn't the longest or the most brutal, but the brief exchange between the X-Crew and Al was a memorable one. But Kitty got what she wanted, her blade lined with glowing green Necroplasm. Which meant that they'd be able to make their escape any time they wanted.

But this wouldn't be forgotten by the one they stole from. Not by a long shot.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's eyes widen as she sees the green substance upon her sword blade. "Think I've got it, pull back," she sends out over comms. Shadowcat backs away as well, phasing to protect herself, and the necroplasma as she pulls out the containment vessel. She brings it near to the substance on her sword and the hell-fuel is pulled inside like there were a vacuum in the container that pulled only demonic substances to it.

The liquid flews inside and then the container covers over, the top just fading into being. "Yep, got it, let's pull back," she says. Shadowcat checks to make sure Dani and Norkio are safe as she backs towards one of the boarded up windows. "Didn't want to fight, and sorry for cutting you," she says. "But we did need this." She lets out a breath, disappointed at how it went. She steps backwards through the wall then, emerging in the urban warrens with those of her team already outside.

Surge has posed:
Well, Nori was right about one thing, she definitely caused some pain.

Some poor assholes pacemaker doesn't kick on when his heart goes into A-Fib and without proper medical coverage in this area, probably dies. So that's on her karma. And it was the season finale of Dancing with the Heroes (all retired capes of course) and the flickering ruined family night. Dad got drunk because he had money on The Blanket taking home the win (and you can bet on anything in Bludhaven), then came home all beat to hell when he couldn't cover the debt. Nevermind the kid who was six wins into a Fortnite 3 bender who got shot in the 1 v 1 finale and smashed his television set with the thrown controller.

He got his ASS beat for it.

Televisions are cheap, ask the family who was carrying their brand new flat screen (Who cares that it was a stolen resell?) up the stairs to their flat when the lights flickered, someone stubbed their toe, and dropped it back down to the landing.

She inadvertantly ruined the night of at least a half dozen (probably more) people/families.

Then she doesn't even get to shoot the energy...

That's like watching Dragon Ball Z for a season of Gouku charging up a Kamayamaya only to have Piccolo dive bomb last meant for the last hit.

It's not disappointing, everyone loves Piccolo (<3 Kitty), it just feels like a waste of a lot of energy on Gouku's part.

So now she's glowing a bright, electric blue... hair standing up like a super Saiyan... and seeing Kitty rush out telling them to retreat, "No!? What?! Look at me! I'm amp'd the fuck up... I'm DEFINITELY blowing some shit up!" Crackling energy all over her body, specifically fists and eyes and hair and dejected...

"Damn me for taking six episodes to charge up!"

Running waaaaay too fast towards the blackbird, only to circle back, then run waaaay to fast again. She's /really/ fast like this.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon breathed a sigh of relief as the boys take off, half in awe and perhaps a little bit nervous that the pretty winged girl had, just before they left, healed that busted, bleeding upper lip with just a touch. They did not stay around long enough to see that it was now the Nightingale who hurt instead of them, but it was alright in the end. They had gotten to safety. Whatever small role she had to play had been played, and what little she could do, was done. She hears the order go out to retreat over the comms and turns about, running for the blackbird to rejoin the rest of the team. She did give Noriko a bit of space as she boarded the craft, looking a bit of a mess but really none the worse for the wear overall. "Wow... remind me to not piss you off..."

Moonstar has posed:
Dani Moonstar stands up, a little light on her feet and wobbly. She nods to Kitty, and says, "Right. I'll cover us. Thanks for the assist. The Spawn packs a mean punch, whatever was in those chains. I'll be ready for them next time. Its what I get for opening myself up to the bad stuff an undead monster has to offer."

Dani's eyes grow clouded. "I could use an ibuprofen or 10." Turning, she picks up Gungnir, and makes it shrink. Placing it in her holster on her back, she sighs and heads out with the rest. "At least we got what we came for." She backs off, keeping her eyes on the mutants backs, and moving slowly out of the lair.
"Someone should plug her in..." Dani nods towards Noriko with a slight smile.

Elixir has posed:
"Funny, I can't fix that," Josh says a touch sadly to the man... being... they had just been fighting. The aura fades away. "Thanks for not killing them. Bringing them back is tiring"

Josh picks his way, absurdly, across the floor, avoiding anything too sharp and walks out of the building as if leaving the store. He is in time to see Shannon run across to the Blackbird and Surge... Surging about.

He walks up into the blackbird and takes the co-pilot's seat beside Kitty. "That was a thing," he comments and runs down his part of the pre-flight.
