Punisher has posed:
The call had gone out minutes ago, by this point. No one is sure what was going on in the neighborhood itself, except that one of the building on the block had suddenly turned into a warzone. The Punisher had gone in to a Foot safehouse with stealth and guile. Microchip was watching from above, and Punisher was working on tapping into security even as he started to plant C4 charges all around the buildings structural weak points. Of course, even the Punisher couldn't keep out of sight of the Foot forever, and eventually, he was found... with him immediately shooting the ninja who had found him.

This time, he was prepared for them. With Splinters help, he had studied the tactics they typically used. Even with a silenced pistol though, those in the building could easily hear him, and the alarm was sounded.

The next three minutes became a cat and mouse game with gunfire as Punisher began to work his way through the rest of the building, planting C4 at the key structural points.

Punisher had no need to worry about innocents... so the place was going down. Punisher was going to erase this Foot safehouse completely off the map.

By the time he was done, Punisher was exhausted, and had quite a few ninja stars and other weapons having hit him in various places. A few Foot soldiers were dead... but he was half dead on his feet himself as he planted the breaching charge on the wall going into the alleyway.

*BOOM*

Debris flew against the opposite wall, and out stepped the Punisher into the open air once again. His face was bleeding in a couple places, and there were visible throwing stars embedded in his vest, and one in his arm. But he was out.

Now all he needed to do was disappear into New York, with the Battle Van waiting down the block for him.

Nemean has posed:
Ah yes, the Battle Van. One step short of driving around the city with a bus with his logo painted on it. Nemean had found it when he was responding to one of the distress calls coming from the safehouse. He could have gone in, but Punisher was going to have to come here sooner or later, and the lion was very patient.

He was leaning against the back doors of it, tapping away at his phone with a hand. He had spotted the drone a while back, but had opted to leave it alone for now. After all, unless it was armed, it wouldn't be able to do much to affect the outcome.

The mutant just had to wait for his prey to come to him, and that would end up saving him time in the long run. Let Punisher wear himself down, and then strike out at him.

Punisher has posed:
It isn't hard to spot the Punisher, either. What with him wearing all black and a gear web. No trenchcoat this time, but the skull vest is easily seen as he walks his way over to the Van... and immediately aims his Beretta when he spots Nemean, aiming for his shins.

"Who the fuck are you supposed to be?" Punisher grates out. He's not going aggressive. Yet... but he's savvy enough to realize this is probably one of the Foots people.

Nemean has posed:
"I'm just your average mutant who gets paid to hurt people like you." Nemean replies, as he looks at the handgun. Beretta 9mm, shouldn't be able to penetrate his skin. Well unless Punisher has +P rounds loaded. Which he very well might.

"Look if you wanna do this the hard way, we can, but my boss wants to talk to you face to face. You could come along quietly and get this whole thing hashed out, but I doubt you're going to go along with that plan."

Punisher has posed:
Not attacking him yet... but the way Nemean is looking at him. There's no fear there. No attempt at dodging, and this pistol has normal ammo, no hollow points or anti-armor cores.

Punisher clicks the safety on the Beretta, holstering it a few feet away. He has a Ka-Bar and a Taurus Judge with .45 rounds that could probably do the trick... but it was 50/50 if he could get to it in time. He hasn't studied this particular /whatever this is/ yet.

"Who's your boss? And that isn't an answer." Punisher grates out.

Nemean has posed:
"My name is Nemean. I work for Shredder." He says, "You probably don't remember, but you tried to blow me up a while back. Though I looked a lot different back then. Still human." He gives that tidbit away for free.

Punisher has posed:
"I've blown up plenty of people in my time, 'Nemean'." Punisher informs him, standing there non-threateningly. "Anyone I blow up doesn't survive the attack without serious armor, so you'll have to be more specific." Punisher glances to the empty drivers seat in the front cabin... then listens down the block. No doubt the police are on their way.

"Shredder... that name keeps comin' up. He doesn't like doin' his own work, does he?" Punisher begins to pace around Nemean in a semi-circle around the back of the Battle Van, "If I blew you up, you deserved it. I don't blow up potential innocents. Ain't gettin' any sympathy from me, and I'm not interested in meetin' that asshole on his terms."

He gives a nod to the Battle Van, "You're not stupid, since you've found the van. I assume you're not lettin' me drive away." It's a statement of presumed fact, not a question.

Nemean has posed:
"Look, you're military. You know how this works. I have a mission, I gotta complete it. I need to bring you in, so I'm gonna do that." He shakes his head a little bit, seemingly disappointed that he has to do it the hard way, "You've just been through a major firefight, so I don't expect you're running at 100% right now."

The lion reaches to his side and draws a krambit style combat knife, though the blade appears to have a slight blue glow to it in the right light. Clearly it's not just normal steel.

Punisher has posed:
"I'm not military anymore. Frank Castle died years ago. The Punisher keeps up with former buddies for the war." Punisher notes, matter of factly, to Nemean.

Then the combat knife comes up, and Punisher just sits there. "You're right, I'm not... but I can still keep up with assholes like you." Punisher boasts. That may or may not be true, but it's clear that Punisher isn't interested in coming quietly, he himself pulling out his custom Ka-Bar and going into a defensive stance.

"You do what you gotta do." Punisher grates, neutrally. He's not going on the offense just yet... trying to get a measure of this mystery person.

Nemean has posed:
"I would hope so." Nemean replies, "I'd be terribly disappointed if the legendary Punisher didn't live up to the hype."

And with that he lunges forward. He moves like the creature he resembles, a massive burst of power and speed propelling the mutant forward, as he slashes with the blade. There is one key difference, one that Punisher will have no doubt picked up on. Nemean needs him alive.

Punisher has posed:
Meanwhile, Punisher isn't sure who this is... so his Code forbids him from laying any lethal blows. Yet.

There are no more words spoken as Punisher waits. It's a melee standoff, and while Punisher was semi-prepared for animal mutants, he wasn't expecting them to ambush him at the Van.

When Nemean comes in for an attack, Punisher is already going low, ducking as far as he can. That much speed brings with it momentum. Momentum that would take a few seconds to stop, and it's plainly obvious Nemean is going all in. As Nemean rushes forward, both hands come up to try to grip the hand with the knife, trying to keep it from doing any serious damage... and he twists back with his body, bringing his legs up to Nemeans chest as he tries to force that momentum to keep going, trying to toss Nemean backwards, right into the wall. Hard.

Nemean has posed:
Punisher is quite easily able to use the mutant's momentum against him. He should have expected something like that, really. But Nemean goes flying and slams into the wall with a heavy thud. The bricks in the wall crack from the impact of the extra dense mutant, and he slumps down upside down. That didn't really HURT but it did disorient him.

He takes a moment to clear his head, and then rolls back onto his feet, and turns to face Punisher again, "Nice move. Not that I'm surprised." He goes in again, this tme not going full bore, and instead moving to strike from the side, only to switch it up as he nears his target, and aim for a knee strike to the gut instead.

Punisher has posed:
He's already kipped up and turning around by the time Nemean is getting back up. The reflexes Punisher is showing is easily world class... and it's easy from just that throw to see how Punisher has survived years of war with the underworld. He's got the mindset and the speed down.

"You telegraph too much." Punisher taunts/jabs at Nemean, "What are you, former military?" Punisher asks as Nemean comes in for another attack.

With all the damage from before, it's easy to see the sudden twitch of pain as Punisher can't react to the feint in time. His reflexes are good... but that arm has some serious damage, and the muscles are being forced to go beyond what they're capable of doing. As a result, he can't grab the arm to redirect it to the side and go for an elbow to the shoulder. Instead, he takes the knife directly in the vest. It doesn't go through, but the wind is knocked out of the Punisher as the hit lands.

The strength of the blow is hardly dealt with, and sends Punisher off his feet and against the side of the Battle Van... and down to the pavement.

Nemean has posed:
"Once upon a time." Nemean replies. He may not have all of his memories but he does remember his time in the military, and with the NYPD and FBI."

With Punisher down, he considers his options. He could go in again, but there's a good chance he'll get countered if he does. Shooting Punisher won't do much unless he aims for the head, and that would defeat the purpose of this attack. Though he supposes that a couple of rounds to the torso might actually stun him. He grins, those sharp teeth glinting in the light, before he moves to throw a kick at the downed vigilante, aiming to knock him back into the bus again.

Punisher has posed:
He's already trying to roll away from the kick by the time Nemean is over to him... but he's been knocked around pretty hard by that attack already. "Did a shit job training you." Punisher wheezes out, just as the kick goes right for his head.

The kick in the head easily twists him right back into the side of the van again, and even Punisher can't take two serious knocks to the head and remain focused.

In the moments before he loses his grip on reality, Punisher wheezes... "... still lose..." His hand goes to the detonator on his gear web, and he flicks the switch.

The safehouse explodes on the inside... the structure slowly collapsing in on itself after a moment as Punisher goes limp... but still breathing.

Up above, the drone has been watching this entire exchange, and flies off.

Nemean has posed:
Guess he doesn't need to shoot him after all. Nemean looks up at the building as it collapses, and raises an arm up in front of his face to block any debris from getting into his eyes, "Well shit." Shredder won't be happy about that, but at least Nemean managed to get his prize.

He takes a pair of zip cuffs off of his own gear, and ties Punisher's arms behind him, before doing what he can to search the vigilante for any hidden weapons, tossing them in a bag and tossing the bag in the back of the van.

He leaves the van for now, however. He has his own transportation and wouldn't want some kind of internal tracking device in the van being used to find the HQ.
