Carnival - Warfare!
Date of Scene: 18 August 2019
Location: Racine, Park Ridge
Synopsis: Carnival went crazy, crazy was clownnapped!
Cast of Characters: Harley Quinn, Kid, Lex Luthor, Zeta, Spoiler

Harley Quinn has posed:
On the waterfront there's one of those pop up carnival festivals happening in celebration of the summer. These are getting fewer and fewer as time goes on, but in the land of plenty, and peace, Metropolis, people have more of a sense of going out and having fun. Plus, this isn't Gotham after all, nothing too terribly menacing happens. Unless you account for alien attacks, giant robots, and crazy super tech organizations who are trying... ahem. Not as crazy, as Gotham.

It's afternoon and a Jersey esque voice comes on over the speaker system that is setup throughout the carnival. "A-hem. This 'ere is a test of the emergency broadcast system. This is jus' a test. If it were a real emergency people would be runnin' away from those guys with guns, an' ya'd certainly not of gotten on the ferris wheel that was covered in bombs. Jeez, are ya all idiots or somethin'? Blinking lights don't mean 'MORE' fun, they mean bombs."

There's a pause and then Harley Quinn speaks up again, "An' arrivin' at the entrance I'd like ta welcome some of the more criminal organization type families. Shhhhh, they've been tricked here by some very convincin' double agents."

And then there's another longer pause, as people inside of the carnival are stopped, listening for something, but not yet panicking as they aren't sure what to do. Getting back on the speaker, "Fer cryin' out loud! Start runnin' an' screamin' already, gunfire's about ta start. Yer easier ta hit when your weavin'! Oh, an' how many of ya got poisoned already from the food? Oh nooooooooooes!" She makes some fake screamin' sounds, "Please Harley, save me, is what I ain't hearin'!" Her voice gets grumbly and then she turns on a greatest hits of Disney films soundtrack. As people start to panick and start running.

At the entrance of the carnival though there's a few clearly gangster styled folks showing up, some in the middle of the food area being confused by the messaging over the speaker. And still yet one group over by the Ferris Wheel, all while people start moving quickly, and guns are pulled by those criminals in preparation for whatever's about to happen. Some of them know, now, they were duped, others are just arriving and still unawares. This can't be good for anyone caught in the middle.

Kid has posed:
Well! This was a first. Kids' never been to a carnival before...least not without gunfire, knives, and general jackassery. It was actually nice to just play games and go on rides...well some of the rides. He was just TOO big for a few. But hey, with Kid in diguise, no one expected a big ol' rilla around. And so he was quite content....
    That is...

Untill that voice came on...

Kid makes an internal scream. He would just like ONE, just one damn day of no villians, no crooks, just a normal happy fun in the sun day. Was that too much to damn ask for? Well it didn't matter now. Kid pulls his usual trick of seeming to dissappear via illusionary tricks, and slides between the tents and attractions...mostly so he can try and figure out where the danger was and wasn't.

Wait...did Harley say BOMBS?

Lex Luthor has posed:
It's been a while since Lex had simply gone out into the crowd and mingled with the common folk. Sure, Metropolis was in the middle of a syndicate power struggle behind the scenes... but Lex had to keep up the appearance of being unafraid.

It wouldn't due for the Kingpin of Metropolis to be seen as weak, after all.

LexCorp had it's own booth for this carnival, with Lex himself handling a lottery for LexCorp branded merchandise. It was a good way to raise awareness of products, and good PR to be connected to the carnival.

Behind him, Hope and Mercy both keep an eye out on potential security threats, the Amazonian bodyguards taking their duty very seriously with this many in the crowd.

Then, the loudspeaker starts.

"... is that the Clowns idiot lackey?" Lex muses aloud, just loud enough for Mercy and Hope to hear him. "She's in my domain without so much as a courtesy call." Lex narrows his eyes slightly as he stands up, utterly calm in the middle of the crowd, "someone needs to learn some manners."

Zeta has posed:
One individual who was here, was a young man looking to be in his twenties. He had black, pulled back hair, with a few bangs over his face.

His green eyes were observing people, and he looked not only fairly athletic, but kept himself in decent enough shape. His clothing choice was also fairly modest. Jeans, t-shirt, and pair of tennis shoes. Nothing fancy to see here!

Though behind all that 'normal' look, was something far more. This was Zeta, pulling off a bit of a different look than what many have seen before. Also, unlike many patrons here, he wasn't eating or drinking. He never had /once/ gone by any of those places, instead the young man was happy just people watching.

Including the kids, he enjoyed watching the children play... Maybe in some ways, they reminded him of himself. Still unsure of all the ends and outs of how the world works. Carefree and happy... Carefree... That was one thing he was never sure he would fully be able to enjoy.

It was about this time that a strange voice came over the speaks. He looked in the direction, as many others did. Eyes narrowing as the talk of criminal organizations. His face only growing more grim as the situation was showing to go from a good day, to now one full of problems.

Though as he started to scan around, there was to many people here he realized for a good idea of who was the targets and who was the ones in danger. However, going over her words once more, his eyes turn to the ferris wheel. "... Oh no." Zeta, without a second thought goes in that direction.

His eyes already flickering as he tries to gather any information he can on where those bombs might be. Not that he is sure he can do anything about it, but if nothing else...

Maybe he can get the people off before things get even worse.

Spoiler has posed:
Four hours a night - minimum! - on the Batcycle simulator over ten days added up fast. Finally cleared to take the vehicle out, the newest Batgirl had zoomed out from the Batcave, heading out of town for her first real ride of the black and purple motorcycle. She was just looking for a safe place to open it up when the call from Alfred alerted her to happenings in Metropolis.

<Metropolis docks. Got it, on my way. At high speed.>

Her intentions made known over comms, Batgirl leans low over the motorcycle as the onboard monitor brings up the fastest path and notes areas with traffic to beware of. Batgirl opens the bike up, watching the speedometer climb ludicrously high as the few remaining miles between she and Metroplis are eaten up beneath the high performance Batcycle's wheels.

Harley Quinn has posed:
Is there always some music in the background of crazy horrible, terrifying, events? Yes. Makes it more kid friendly. Especially when 'Under the Sea' from Little Mermaid pops on over the speakers. Some of the just-arriving gangsters are starting to look around a bit more confused, but they begin to move to take up positions once they see some opposing folks just standing out nearby the food stalls. This motion doesn't go unnoticed and the food gang is starting to move to take cover as well.

These are higher end gangs, their goals aren't to hurt civilians, but now they are in this mess. Moving along the tops of booths, hopping from thin sign to thin sign, keeping complete balance and moving faster than a normal human should be able to, even doing a big leap that has her spinning around in the air, doing a pirouette as she corkscrews over them, is Harley. "Big breath boys! Ya'll thank me later. Toodles." As a toy monkey with cymbals comes falling down upon the group of mooks near the food stalls. And she's running quickly, her oversized and impressively weighted mallet is just strapped onto her back. Moving still, above the majority of the crowd, she's winding up a second Monkey with Cymbals. There's a little device dangling from her belt that seems to be blinking along with the blinking of the Ferris Wheel.

For those who have great understanding of technology this is device where if it's pulled or taken off her person probably will make the bombs go boom. But it also has a button to start that process sooner. And the toy monkey she dropped is clanging its cymbals in a slow, winding down fashion, till - Kssssssssshhhhhhh. A greenish gas starts spreading out from it in quick order.

Kid has posed:
Kid had stuck to observing at first. He recognized ther word bomb...before looking to the ferris wheel...and than he sees the hopping twirling terror that was Harley. Kid notes the device on her belt and peers...groaning. This was going to make it even harder now. But the green gas...he remembers it well. Kid backs the hell up from it, worrying it was fear gas.

Kid takes a deep breath, first things first, get people out. If he remembers J'onn training correctly, people are more likely to take 'suggestions' if they fit with their mind set, or offer something very real or tangible to their needs.

Kid sends out a wide range broadcast. A suggestion to all those he can reach, which is a fairly significant area, that doesn't differiante between friend or for o O ("Stay away from the gas") was the first and o O ("Find and exit. Go over fences, ram through walls. But avoid the main exit. Regardless get as far from the folks with guns as you can")

If Kids learned anything, it that folks go for the main exit...gather around them. This made known exits and entrenches prime spots for traps, explosions, and of cource blocking off. Kid figures finding alternative exits would be safer. He hoped it wasn't wrong. Regardless he cannot force people to obey...his 'suggestions', as he didn't have full on mind control.

Lex Luthor has posed:
"Definitely the idiot, and using the transmitter no less." Lex sighs, studying Harley from his position. The device is noted at a glance, "Dead mans switch. Wonderful." Lex starts to walk away, Hope and Mercy in tow as he brings his arms behind his back, heading for his Limo.

"I need to go and jury rig a replacement signal for that thing. Mercy, go and get into position to capture her. I need to have words with her."

Hope, meanwhile, continued on back to the Limo with Lex. Mercy silently started to head to the House of Horrors, resting her left hand on her right elbow in case she needed to pop out the laser.

Zeta has posed:
Things were getting worse and worse quickly. Zeta was just trying to focus on getting people away from a possible explosive death.

He had no interest in even trying to disarm them, what he did care about was those that are trapped with no operator. It would take to long to turn the machine and get each person out. That means... That means he might have to give himself away in a /very/ public place.

One thing Harley might notice from her high perch, is that this 'man' was running faster than a human should be able to, and easily jumping over objects that are getting in his way as he makes his continued path for the ferris wheel.

Once he arrives there, he just jumps up and goes to grab one of the railings, along with the seat to keep it steady. Looking directly at some of the folks there. "I can help you, but you'll need to trust me."

Spoiler has posed:
Batgirl listens to the audio captured from the carnival, being relayed to her as she quickly navigates the Metropolis highways to get near to the docks. "Dear Diary. I was out taking my new bike for a drive when you'd never guess who showed up..." she says to herself.

The off-ramp leading to the docks from the elevated expressway is completely backed up with cars. Batgirl veers the bike left and then back right again, aiming it towards the slanted hatchback of the last car in line. She pops a wheelie at the last moment, sending the Batcycle climbing up the back of the car like it were a ramp and sending her sailing over the roadway's railing.

Bike and caped crusader fall from two stories up, the superb shocks of the Batcycle absorbing the impact onto the road beneath that leads to the docks.

"Batgirl 1. Gravity 0," she says, setting the scoreboard as she pulls up to the festival. A stud on the bike is hit, leaving it to stop itself as the seat springs upwards, helping launch the blond Batgirl up over the fence to perch atop the center of the Tilt-a-Whirl. "Alright, anyone here who feel like unwitting dupes that want to go home, raise your hand," she announces towards the soon-to-be-gassed mobsters. "Make that, raise your hand and hold your breath," she amends, reaching for equipment on her utility belt.

Harley Quinn has posed:
From Kid's mental broadcast, people start moving and heading away from the gangsters. This gives them space to start shooting if they were so inclined. It's about this same time that Batgirl comes launching her way into the carnival, and Harley Quinn is hopping down near Batgirl and tossing a wind-up monkey behind her. Just in time for the gases to start spreading out again on this group.

"Oh, hi there bat daughter, lil' bat, girly bat, what's yer name again?" She asks of Stephanie, smiling though. "Maybe we can be on another inerview together some time, ya were very good. I didn't say it at the time, I was kind of shocked really at findin' out I had a fan page and all."

Even as she talks, those gangster mooks are starting to laugh, loudly, painfully, the first group is as well. There's some kind of green chemical arcing through their veins as they start to spread out, rushing after people that are trying to get away. Fueled by adrenaline, and anger, hatred toward whomever is nearest. For Batgirl, that means 3 of these now suped up highly-aggressive mooks are coming her way. For others, there's mooks running about trying to catch up to the people that Kid had run away. Zeta is too far away to be attacked directly, but Kid may be in the way along with Lex and his group. A little finger wave goes from Harley to Batgirl, "Toodles." As she backflips onto one of the goons running up to her, lands on their shoulders, and then pushes off hard to flip back up to the tops of the carnival buildings, balancing on the rickety signs that show off Funnel Cakes are sold here.

Zeta can start helping people off the ride if that's his intent, of course, and Lex is a super genius, he could probably MacGyver a nuclear bomb out of paperclips. A radio signal device isn't going to be that tough.

Kid has posed:
Kid is puzzled by this. He thought that gas was fear gas...but it seemed to be something else entirely. Happy Gas? Happy Aggressive Murder Gas? Whatever it was, it wasn't good. Regardless...it seemed they intent on beating people into submissions as opposed to shooting them judging by the chase.

This sat VERY well with Kid! He suddenly takes off, towards the goons going after the civilians. Thankfully a charging gorilla is pretty fast when knuckle running - which Kid was.

He drops his illusion and hurls himself into a group of the goons, and even lets out a roar to try and divert their attention away from the others.

And if he lucky...he will infact try to grab and thrown one of the gangsters into the others, with little regard to potentially broken bones.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex didn't expect to need to use the tool kit in the Limo today, nor did he expect to cannibalize the Limo spare parts to create a duplicate dead mans switch... but if he was going to deal with the situation to his satisfaction, Harley needed to be taken out of the picture.

He wasted no time getting into the Limo and grabbing what he needed, Hope doing a roundhouse kick to the head of one of the thugs running in Luthor's direction, before getting inside the passenger side, opposite Lex.

"Grab the scrambler and find me that things signal, I need to make some adjustments here." Lex barked as he quickly took apart the spare radio transceiver. It would be a simple matter of resetting the transmitter to remain constant, then hardwire the frequency into the modulator.

A minute worth of work for Lex, at most.

Meanwhile, Mercy was busily dodging the crowd, and the gas, and had gotten into laser range. "In position, Sir."

3.... 2.... 1....

"It's set. Her switch is useless now. Take her." Lex ordered of Mercy.

With that, Mercy's right arm pops open, and the weaponized laser within starts firing at Harley, trying to disable her legs even as she started to get close to get into melee.

Zeta has posed:
Zeta does that, he can hear the chaos, but his focus was on helping those here and their kids that are trapped on what could soon become a death trap. Then again-- everything could become a death trap right now.

He does take note of the green gas that is filling the area and hoping he can get families down and they can find the means to get away. Zeta even tells them the direction to head that he believes is the safest, that the wind will keep the gas away from them and /hopefully/ they can keep their heads low from any stray bullets.

How does he help them out though? By making sure his feet are secure, reaching to pick them up with their consent, and then his mechanical arms breaking his hard-light projection to place them down.

It is the upper level however that will take more time, as he isn't sure he can safely get them down from there . So, for the moment, he works with what he can, and he'll figure out how to handle that upper level.

Also unaware at the moment that the bombs could no longer be remotely triggered, but even so, they were still a possible threat.

Spoiler has posed:
"There's fan pages for everything from Twilight to the world's largest catsup bottle, Harley. Not really a cause for a bout of pride," Batgirl calls as she retrieves an odd-looking gun from her belt.

Batgirl can't do anything about the gas that has already been released, but she can stop it from getting worse. A round disk is launched at the nearest monkey. When it hits, a cloud of white gas gushes out instantly condenses, freezing solid. The cymbals-monkey ends up coated in ice to clog up its release valves.

A second of Nightwing's freeze disks is sent shooting towards another monkey, but then the men are on Batgirl. She jumps up onto one of the seats of the Tilt-a-Whirl to then spin off of it and deliver a kick to the face of her nearest assailant. But the next man two-hand clubs the blond vigilante in the back sending her staggering forward against the ride's seat that she just jumped from. The seat is held above the ground by telescoping arms from the center. The third enraged man closes in with the second.

Harley Quinn has posed:
The charging gorilla plays some Donkey Kong Bowling, and knocks over many of the goons. They are easily toppled by his weight, the tossing, the roar doesn't seem to get much reaction but the close proximity gets them all leaping at Kid to try and tackle him to the ground. They seem enraged, biting, clawing, whatever they can do, adrenaline pumping. Even some of them with broken bones are moving still, like they aren't really feeling pain, but disablement still works on them.

"There's a fan page for... whoOooaooao!" Harley wiggles her arms as she tries to maintain balance, having just barely ducked under one of those lasers. "Fer blue batjean's sake, ya almost singed my hair!" Calls Harley in the direction of Mercy and then her eyes get wide as she hops from her current sign to the next stall over. Blasts keep coming at her, and she's dodging, Harley on the move is very agile, and very quick, but Mercy's shots are keeping her from getting away. In fact, as she's running in one direction, she has to pause as a laser blast shoots right in front of her and she springs backwards onto her hands, pushing off, and turning in mid-air to run the other way. Then another blast, sort of stops her. "Well, fine. If -that's- how it's gonna be played, then..." She pulls from her belt the litle blinking device.

Bringing her fingers up to her ears she plugs them, and presses the button. Scrunching up her face, then, opening her eyes and blinking. She looks at the device and starts hitting the button a few more times, then harder, and then she gets angry at it and tosses it on the ground before tantrum jumping up and down on it, crushing it. When... crashing into her is Mercy, taking her straight to the ground with a loud ooomph.

Meanwhile, Mooks. Kid is having the best luck since he's unconcerned about the gangster's wellbeing, while Batgirl has 3 on her. There's a bit more than a dozen of them in each group, and most of the ones by Kid have targeted him now. While the ones by Batgirl are starting to disperse. But at least the gas is taken care of.

"Get off me, ya crazy lady, this kind of abuse, I won't take it. Not till, at least, the third date! I got rules!" Harley, struggling with Mercy. And Zeta is working his way through people who want off the death Wheel.

Harley Quinn has posed:
For clarity sake, the bombs on the Ferris Wheel don't go off.

Kid has posed:
Kid may not be superstrong (by gorilla standards) but to a human, he may as well be. His punches are more than enough to knock the wind out of a man if he goes for the chest, and he doesn't hesitate to slam them into the ground either. He was just as viciouse as he infact BIT them. Not in any place that would kill them, but the wounds would be deep...and should have been painful, but they kept comming.

And so he kept fighting, trying to knock them out, and disable their ability to move. If that ment breaking a few limbs so be it. Soon he has a large group of Mooks ontop of him. Biting and clawing and even pulling his fur. Now THAT hurts.

Kid is bucking and tossing as and slamming as quick as he can, but soon enough, there just too many and Kid soon dissappears beneath growing crowd. And there was definintly a sensation of anger radiating from the mob-pile.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Meanwhile, Mercy was busy grabbing Harley by the arms and forcing them behind her back.. before pulling her back to her feet somewhere and heading for the Limo.

"I've got her Sir, coming now."

Meanwhile, Lex was watching the whole shitshow from the safety of his window... and taking note of all the newcomers... including Zeta. "Another 'hero' who can't help but reveal themselves, it seems." Lex muses aloud as he watches Zeta, committing the entire event to memory, and bringing up a camera to get video evidence as well.

Zeta has posed:
The Ferris Wheel doesn't go boom, and Zeta is moving to the top with simple ease. To them those folks down, he will have to sacrifice his 'appearance' and go full out machine. This high up, the only people who will see this, are, well, the folks he is saving.

He knows at first, these folks will freak out and very calmly reminds them that are sitting on a bomb, that /could/ explode at any time. That tends to get people to not argue with being saved.

For the first time, anyone with eagle eyes can see the Synthoid up there, stretching his body at great lengths to as far as it can go, along with his legs. Picking up a person at a time, moving down a bit, then placing them down.

Once everyone is off, he goes to exit as well and as he touches ground, his hard-light form moves over, only now with a baseball cap over his head and a jacket, along with the hair now missing the short pony-tail.

He seem to focus on making sure the last people he helped along with those seeming unsure of where to go.

Spoiler has posed:
Batgirl gets herself upright and dodges a punch from one man and then the other, then blocks an enraged blow by the goon who took a foot to the face earlier. She hits him in the chest and then whirls, sweeping a leg to temporarily knock another man off his feet.

The blond Batgirl gives up a half foot of height and probably 100 pounds to each man, giving ground before their frenzied attacks. Evading and trading blows, she soon has the trio of men bruised, but has taken her own hits.

Finally she grabs at her grapple and fires it. The man in front of her dodges to the side and it misses him, resulting in an angry sneer. Though the grapple found its intended target, wrapping around a control lever on the Tilt-a-Whirl console. She tugs on it and the ride suddenly starts up. Batgirl leaps to the top of one of the buckets of seats, her gloves suddenly gripping the metal with the power of suction cups as it starts in motion.

The men are quickly knocked down, and attempts to lift their heads to get back up result in a thump to the head by the moving seats that move above them. Batgirl leaps free, cape billowing behind her as she lands by the controls and shuts the ride back down before looking for the next threats to deal with.

Harley Quinn has posed:
As mooks overpower Kid, they are kicking, clawing, biting, and fighting against the gorilla very aggressively but without much thought at all. And Zeta continues to work on getting people off of the Ferris Wheel. The lights on the bombs keep blinking but they didn't explode.

Harley, on the other hand, is being flipped on her front, arms brought to her back and she's being dragged to her feet while moved. She's kicking her feet against the ground, and yelling out, "Help help, I'm bein' ClownNapped!" Then she turns to look over her shoulder at Mercy, "Oooh, a limo, yer fancy kidnappers. Is there a tentacle monster in there?" A pause, "Please say there's a tentacle monster in there, then it'd match up perfectly with the dream I had last night." And she huhs, "Maybe I'm gainin' future telepathic abilities, precogntion or somethin'?"

Meanwhile, in the Batgirl corner, she innovatively uses a Carnival ride to beat up some mooks. 3 down, about half a dozen or more still to go though they have spread out trying to find people to attack. There's some screams off in the near distance.

Kid has posed:
Kid bites down hard...but on no one, he didn't want to lose his temper...which he was approaching really REALLY damn quickly. He needed another angle, a new plan.

He begins punching and kicking, trying to shrink the pile as they attacked him aggressively. As he does so, thinning the pile, he eventually manages to break free...and makes a bee-line to slide between some tents, bloodied, and bruised, but alive.

And an idea strikes him. He opens his mind and touches those of the mooks, to get a sense of their...altered state. If succesfully...he will begin to broadcast a new illusion. He will begin to randomly assignment each mook an identity. It didn't matter who...it only matter that they appeared as someone...something else to each person, even if vaguely so. He hoped they will begin to attack each other.

Lex Luthor has posed:
There is, in fact, no tentacle monster in the Limo. Probably fortunate, because there /is/ a Lex Luthor in there, who would no doubt use it in creative and /unfun/ ways.

By the time Mercy has gotten to the Limo, Hope has went into the front drivers cabin, making room in the front of the Limo passenger cabin, with Lex in the back.

"Good afternoon, Harleen." There's a pause as Lex watches her for a moment, "We need to talk." Lex informs her, before he presses the intercom button to talk to Hope. "Drive."

Mercy, meanwhile, was very busy keeping Harley under control, her right arm once again reset to be a 'normal' arm.

Spoiler has posed:
The frenzied mobsters are spread out by now, making Batgirl's job more difficult. A batarang is drawn and sent whistling towards a man who has just knocked down an elderly lady. It arcs in towards one of his shoulder blades to hit him and unleash jolts of electricity which results in him falling face first to the ground beside the woman. She gets to her knees and begins beating him over the head with her handbag.

Batgirl runs through the festival grounds which are rapidly clearing out as the innocents flee the area. A feral attacker has cornered a carnie and a couple in the ring toss game, chasing them around and around the bottles while the carnie throws stuffed animals at him. The mobster knocks a giant Pink Panther aside only to find a black and purple boot waiting for him as Batgirl launches a flying kick to his face. "Winner winner," Batgirl says, dropping the Pink Panther into the downed mobster's arms.

Two down. She sees a pair of mobsters fighting a couple of people who are trying to keep them away from where some children cower. A handful of flashbang pellets fly to hit the man in the back, going off with loud reports and bright flashes, draw their attention back towards Batgirl and away from the kids.

<Taking down these people affected by Joker's gas that are attacking civilians. Lost track of Harley but her explosives didn't go off. Need the Metropolis bomb squad here on the double.>

Harley Quinn has posed:
There's no /unfun/ ways for a tentacle monster to be used. So, Harley looks around the limo with a bit of disappointment. "Awww shucks, jus' a bald guy?" And she clearly looks disenchanted, "Now look 'ere mister. I might jus' have ta sue ya fer false advertisin'. No tentacle monster, an' ya jus' got this blonde lady holdin' my hands like we are familiar. At least 'ave her slap me around a lil'? Jeez, is this yer first kidnappin' or what?"

And then she looks around the limo, almost unable to pay attention to the whole 'we need to talk' comment from Lex, "Oooh, is that an open bar? Ya got any spritzy water in there? I jus' love me a bubbly." She is grinning big even while her arms are being held behind her head, she tries leaning forward. Stretching her neck as much as she can, as if she could 'stretch' far enough to get to the drinks, making a bit of a nnnnnnh sound as she strains herself.

For Kid, the idea is ingenius. These minds aren't very alterable due to being so enraged, but the illusion seems to work. As they start looking like normal people to one another, they halt their chase toward the gorilla and start pummeling and attacking each other! The fighting won't last long as they are frenzied, and beat themselves into unconsciousness, for some, it looks like it could be worse.

Soon, Batgirl is also making quick work of the spread out foes, running about the festival and taking down mooks here and there with her BatTech. By the time the sirens are heard in the distance, the mooks are all taken care of, either by beating themselves up or by various forms of BatFu that Batgirl unleashes on her BatFoes.

Kid has posed:
Well that worked out WAY better than Kid expected! But it wasn't quite over yet. He did make sure to stop the goons from killing each other, running interference as it where. But he otherwise did his best to reamin hidden. At one point he had even thrown a goon over Batgirls head as he made his way through (the mook was about to quite litterly bite the mans throat). But hey, it was less work overall as they thinned themselves out. But still, the sound of sirens made Kid nervous...and he was back in his teen illusion...and making for a hasty retreat, as he didn't like the police. Still didn't trust them or most authority figures for that matter.

Lex Luthor has posed:
The makeshift radio is tossed out the window into a nearby nook. No doubt the police will eventually find it with a signal locator, which works for Lex just fine.

Meanwhile, in the Limo itself as it drives off... "Amusing." Lex drolly notes, before he crosses his arms. "I'll elaborate once we've arrived."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown's chest heaves to catch her breath. "You guys didn't have to spread out so much," she says to the last unconscious mobster lying at her feet. She pauses to take stock, having lost track of Harley in the fight. The people are down and out of the Ferris wheel by now, and the lights of the Metropolis PD can be seen pulling up to the festival.

Not a terrible outing, her first one since being entrusted with the Batgirl uniform. And legacy.

Batgirl spots the body flying past, and turns back to see the source just in time to see the simian take on a human guise again. Her eyebrows draw up in curiosity and Batgirl switches through different spectrum of light, examining him while her suit video rolls so she can check into him later.

She turns as the police start to sweep through the festival. "Time to get out of here," she says to herself, heading for the fence over which she entered. The former gymnast pole vaults the fence with her staff, landing beside the Batcycle. "Good first ride girl," she says, patting the bike, "Going to have to name you," she muses to herself as she squeals the tire, pivoting the bike in place before taking off through the streets.
