Synopsis: Carrie, Tim and Damian follow up on the situation from the charity event. Talia makes her son's favorite meal
Cast of Characters: Carrie Kelley, Robin (Wayne), Red Robin, Talia al Ghul

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The ride home was perhaps an awkward one as Carrie was trying not to give too much info about what was really going on until they were somewhere officially 'safe' to speak. Even if the limos might have been safe it just didn't feel right. There's no dropping her off at her apartment, though. They come straight to the manor and she exits the limo leaning on the open door waiting for Damian to come out as well. The skirt of her white and silver dress falls just a bit longer than before as she'd taken off her heels which she holds in one hand. No sense in wearing them now. "We really should talk about this, Damian. I didn't realize it would upset you this much otherwise I'd have made certain to bring up the topic before. It's not what you think, though."

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian had gotten over his profound stomach illness in part in the limo. He didn't say much during the ride back, and with the way Tim made that many suppositions, he was in a foul mood.

"The only thing I fail to grasp in this situation is the fact that my so-called brothers feel the need to interlope in my business. First it was Todd, now it's Drake. If you complete the trifecta, I'm going to have to move to Central City." The youngest Wayne gets out of the limo and starts walking towards the foyer, practically ripping off his bow tie in the process of disrobing.

"And to top it all off, raspberries!"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake is a bit behind the others, as he did have to make sure to drop off the donation and appologize for the others leaving early. But the fact that he was in the sports car and not the limo did allow for some of that time to be cut off. He will come in not long after the others still in his tux with the silver accents "Sorry took a bit longer to get away than I had hopped." He says walking in.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"When I... what... Trifecta?!" Carrie's face goes red as she glares after Damian storming into the house. The limo is abandoned entirely as she grabs the skirt of her evening gown in one hand to hike it up over her stocking-clad feet. The heels in her opposite hand are swung forward to *point* at Damian's back. "I am NOT sleeping around with your brothers!"

The angered redhead stalks after the younger Wayne with barely a pause toward Tim to shoot him a glare. This was not going well, not at all. "I also didn't realize that I was 'your business'," she shoots back before letting out a groan of abject exaspeation. "I'm not dating him, Damian. I'm *bait*!"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
"It is just what I would do when up against an opponent of whom I could not defeat physically. Psychological Warfare! Get underneath your opponent's skin and slowly drive your opponent insane."

Once Tim was in the fray, Damian was already releasing a barrage of accusations at Tim. "You! How dare you! First off, you publicly say that I am allergic to raspberries. Then it was not enough that I had some semblance of a normal life after EVERYTHING that I had been through, you decide to date my..." It was about then that Carrie had yelled exasperatingly that she was bait. A finger raised up towards Tim was the only iota of the raving rant he was on before. His eyes were blank as he stared at Carrie to his side with uncertainty in those pale green eyes. "Bait? Bait?!"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to Damian, and waits a minute, and as the young man stops he says "Ok, one your not my enemy, I thought you and I were past that. Two you think you would win in a fight fine sure sure. Three, I am the one who got cider spewed on them, I was trying to cover you, not make life worse for you. And yes bait, remember there is someone trying to make it look like I went after the guy who attacked the girl I was dating? I think he set up that hit in the first place, and since I am not dating anyone, figured if we give him a target it might draw him out, and a target who can defend themselves if someone does come after them was best. Also if Carrie and I were going to actual date, I would come talk to ya about it, finding out your brother is dating one of your friends is a bit of a shocker, I know."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Yes, bait--" Carrie was about to explain but thankfully Tim steps up to the plate. She gestures towards him with the heels still clutched in her hand. At least until his second point comes. That earns her free hand clapping over her face with a muffled groan of, "Oh no don't poke the hornets nest that's just great." Men. Boys. Whatever. She drops her hand away with a sigh absently sliding it over the fabric of her skirt to smooth out the wrinkles she'd likely creased the fabric with when storming in after Damian. "I'm bait to catch whoever is trying to kill the people Tim was dating," she agrees with a solemn nod. "He asked me to play the part to lure whoever it is out of hiding."

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia has mostly stayed in the library, or upstairs. Though she has to eat, and doesn't like imposing on Alfred continually for that. She is barefoot, and wearing a pair of dark slacks and a loose fitting white top with wonderfully baggy sleeves as she descends the stairs.

The sound of voices from down below were noticed long before she reached the stairs. Her steps slow just a little to allow her to hear more before she reaches the speakers. The familiar voice of Damian piques Talia al Ghul's interests. She hesitates a moment but then continues on, down the stairs and emerging where they can see her. Her eyes sweep over them, letting them know she is there and has noted them as well, though her bare feet continue to move silently over the floors towards the kitchen.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian looks back to Tim, removing his tuxedo jacket. "One, it is a temporary truce. Two: I most definitely CAN win against you in a fight. Three: I thought you, like Todd, couldn't control your wang long enough to even have second thoughts. Like a troglodyte. Fourth: I do not pay attention to what is going on in your life."

Carrie's addition has Damian give a sigh, he's down to his tux shirt and pants and not constrained by a tie any longer. "I owe you an apology. I did not assume you were my business. I just don't trust the others to control their genitals. Y-." It was then he was cut off by the entrance and exit of his mother, as if he needed more drama this evening. "Mother." He says matter of factly, like a sergeant greeting a Captain, some programming is significantly harder to break. Once her back is turned, he flares his eyes and gestures to Talia to the others. Case in point.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over to Damian, and shakes his head a bit at the truce sighing softly. He will move over to a place where he can have a seat, and says "Damian you don't have to worry about me. If Carrie and I were to actually date, I would treat her with respect and honor. Also if I didn't or anyone didn't treat her right, I do believe she would be the first to beat them into a pulp, and you or I would have not have a chance to defend her.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
The indignant anger that was in Carrie fades with a small deflation of her shoulders. They don't sag so much as she's not bristling with tension now in preparation of a more physical fight breaking out. Namely she expected to have to break it up. Not really something she'd look forward to. When Damian offers the apology her smile softens, "Thank you, Damian. I'm not angry, just upset about the evening." It's all she manages to get out. Because he says one word: Mother. And her eyes snap over to the brunette in question with her breath catching.

Show no fear, little rabbit, do not run. The wolf is near.

Or something. Carrie looks back to Tim at that clearing her throat. "I think we're past the point of dating me to begin with though I appreciate the sentiment. Have you got any updates on this stalker of yours? I'm sure tonight will be in the gossip columns." She's pointedly trying not to draw attention *back* to Talia, if the woman were merely heading for the kitchen.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia al Ghul only slows her steps rather than stopping them as Damian greets her. "Damian," she replies back to him. "Those Damian has arranged a truce with," she says as if to set a good example for her son on polite greetings.

Talia manages another step or two as Tim speaks of the likelihood of Carrie beating recalcitrant men to a pulp. It results in the Eurasian woman glancing back, giving an approving look and nod towards the red-headed young woman before continuing on her way.

Long walk away, that kitchen.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian does not fear his mother. Far from it, she had raised him to be a weapon, a worthy heir to the League of Assassins, and he had earned that title. Until he tossed it aside to learn of his father.

"Yes, Drake, please do enlighten us to your plight." Is all he utters at the moment, he chooses his words carefully, not to try and keep a civil tongue, however.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "There has not been any leads of late, and I have not heard anything from the Question of late. I have been trying to follow yours and other advice mostly letting the rest of you handle things. This was the one thing I thought that might be able to draw him, or them out if they are still hanging around trying to mess with me. I have made sure I had extra security on my new home to be on the safe side."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley draws a slow, deep breath at the apparent lack of update on the situation. That meant that this ruse had to continue on awhile more. "Okay." The urge to rub at her eyes is resisted along with the desire to keep Talia in her peripherial vision. Instead she simply nods toward the pair. "If that's all for now then, I think I'll retire to my room for the night. I still have some studies I need to get ahead on before the start of the semester."

Tipping her head toward Damian she adds, "The cast and crew welcoming party we have at the beginning of the year is coming up. I hope you can attend. Everyone would like to see you." Plus it was a bit more of that 'normal life' that he had felt robbed of as of late. Maybe she could make up for that at least. "Good night Tim, good night Damian."

Carrie turns to head off... But not toward the entrance to go get her car as she so often did. No, she's heading further into the mansion.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley adds, just in case it's considered rude not to, "Good night Ma'am."

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia crosses the large foyer. Despite being barefoot and her hair ruffled as if perhaps she'd had a nap earlier, her presence is a very noticeable thing. She glances back as she hears Carrie, not having reacted otherwise to the conversation. "Good evening," Talia says before she disappears into the kitchen.

The sound of a few cupboards being opened and closed, and then a pan going onto the stove, can be heard not long after. Alfred's voice asks, "Might I help you with something?" and then Talia's reply, "I believe I have it if you could just point me towards the parsnips and ginger," she replies to him.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian nods Carrie farewell, and happens to notice that she makes her way to the interior instead of the exit. "Are y..." Damian seems cut off by this. "Drake, is she living here now too?" He asks of Tim, quite directly and without much grace.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over, and says "Yea, I think she is, but if it helps I aint." He will walk over to Damian and says "Actually if you want to come over to my place sometime let me know. I might have to actually have a home warming party soon.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Over the course of his short life, Damian has been exposed to many things. A housewarming party is no such thing he had been exposed to. "Home warming? What the fuck is that good for? It is almost forty degrees out there at night!" It's obvious that Damian still has much to learn about the outside world.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia has been at work in the kitchen for a bit. A number of preparations were made earlier in the day, so a much shorter time than one would have expected, the Eurasian woman's head can be seen in the kitchen doorway as she leans over to look into the foyer. "Damian. Tim Drake," she says to them. "Oxblood soup is just about ready if you'd like to come have a bowl," she says.

Talia doesn't wait for replies, her head disappearing as she goes back over to the stove, stirring the soup and then getting bowls for it.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles but resists the urge to out right chuckle. He looks to the younger man and says "It is a type of party to get your friends and family to come over and see your place when you have a new one. Originally people would bring gifts and such to help people set up their house and make it into a home. I was thinking more along the lines so my friends could see the place all at once, and maybe get to know one another." He will lean over to whisper to Damian "Does it have real ox blood in it?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
She had him at Oxblood soup. Damian already starts to approach the kitchen as the scents of the dish wafted to his nostrils. "Oh, ohh. To make a house a home. I get it." He responds before answering his brother's question. "Yes. And it's delicious." It was one thing that reminded him of his home on Infinity Island, Talia's oxblood soup. "It has been two years since I have had this." He comments, entering the kitchen and witnessing the bubbling cauldron of nostalgia in front of him.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
The scents of ginger and garlic mix with spicier scents that promise a robust flavor. Talia glances over briefly as the two young men come into the kitchen. Despite being Damian's mother, Talia al Ghul looks no more than in her mid-twenties as she ladles out four portions of the bright red soup.

Alfred who has been watching attentively, moves over as Talia adds a dollop of sour cream atop each bowl, passing two of them to Alfred which he brings over to the boys. He returns to receive his own bowl, while Talia claims the remaining one.

"It has been as long since I've made it," she tells Damian, her tone normal enough, but the woman's sloe eyes gaze at her son in a way that lets him know it is not mere coincidence. She has already tasted it several times to assure the taste, but takes a first small taste from her bowl, and looking satisfied.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and thinks for a moment the things one does for their crazy little brothers. He heads into the kitchen with the younger man, and will head to get glasses. He has always helped Alfred as he grew up in a home without a butler most of his life. "Um milk, water, tea? He will ask not knowing what goes with oxblood soup.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian gladly accepts the bowl from Alfred, which admittedly this dish is a far cry form what most would consider 'normal' for Damian, it was comfort food. Without hesitation he starts to consume the soup and allow it to actually relax him. "Tea works." He took tea in a myriad of ways, Asian, middle-eastern, Russian, English. It was all a means to an end for the young man. "Thank you, Mother." He says, after relishing the first few spoonfuls of the...esoteric elixir.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Alfred suggests to Tim, "Indeed, tea might be a good choice, Master Drake." He moves over to start a pot going. Talia gives Alfred a small affirmative nod and then looks back to Tim and Damian. She notes Damian's enjoyment of the soup though if that pleases her, it doesn't show in her expression. Though she then says, "I am pleased you enjoy it," to Damian as she eats a few spoonfulls herself, slowly.

Talia's eyes settle back on Tim Drake. "You have grown since the last time I had seen you," she comments. "Have you been following in Bruce's footsteps?" she asks, not really giving any indication in what sense she meant the question.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake 's brow raises a bit at the comment, and says "I am trying to do well with the family business. He has been good to me and the others and it is only fitting to try my best to do right by him. He does not tell which family business he means. He wil get higns set up, and then move to have a seat and try the soup.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian remains engrossed in the special meal, after the incident at the party this was a welcome stomach settler. He allows the others to make their conversation while he enjoys his bowl of soup.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia continues to slowly eat her own soup, bringing spoons full to her lips, blowing gently to cool the hot soup before consuming it. "You would be hard pressed to find someone better to learn from," Talia comments towards Tim agreeably. She motions towards his soup. "Eat up. Makes you strong," she says. Though leaving off the comment she'd always told Damian. Like his grandfather.

Talia looks over to Alfred to say, "I wanted to thank you for acquiring the clothing so far. I think Bruce and I will probably go shopping for something more tomorrow," she informs Alfred, having already spoken to him about arranging the shopping trip for whenever Bruce had time.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head finding the soup better than he expected it, and says "It actually is quite good." He will ask a question he may end up regreting " Family recipe?"

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian perks up, never once asking really if this had been passed down from his ancestors to her. Never really been one to ask about anyone older than his grandfather. He was very interested in the answer to that question, as he continued to eat.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia brings a spoon of the oxblood soup up to her lips, consuming it slowly and savoring the spiciness of it that comes from the cayenne another spices in it. "It is. From Damian's grandfather at least, though I cannot say at what point in his esteemed life he came across the recipe. A question I shall have to remember to ask," Talia replies to Tim.

She takes another spoonful and says, "You would not believe the difficulty of getting the ingredients here. Apparently there are not as many people who keep ox in Gotham as in some other locations," she says with a small curl of her lips.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head a bit to this not commenting on the fact he did not think of the demon head as one to cook. "I would think it might take some looking, but if anyone would know I am sure Alfred would know the best person to talk to.

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
Damian takes in the answer to the question with some regard. He should have figured the answer was more complicated than he realized. "Hard to find halal meats in Gotham too. But you can find at least one place with decent ingredients. Especially if you speak Arabic." He comments, it is apparent he had sought out a place to get his indigenous cuisine before. Taste and smell of course being the senses closest tied to memory.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia nods towards Tim and Damian at their comments, and casts a smile to the butler who is enjoying his own bowl of soup. "Were it not for Alfred we would not be enjoying this right now," she confirms. Of course she couldn't have gone out for the ingredients herself even if she'd known where to go. Well, not without gunfire and explosions most likely.

Talia's gaze focuses back on her son while his attention is on the soup. She finally allows herself a small, brief smile before going back to her own meal. "If I'm ever able to deal with matters, perhaps you can show me," she comments to Damian. Though if she dealt with matters, would she still be in Gotham?

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "Is there anything we could do to help things come to a suitable solution that we might be able to get you and Bruce and Damian in a good spot?

Robin (Wayne) has posed:
A great thing about good food, it keeps normally cantankerous people satisfied, Damian here was no exception. Though Damian did know of many ways to solve the current issue. "We find Bane, and take him down. Show him there is only one family at the head of the League. And that's al Ghul." He comments, he was a Wayne, but he was also an al Ghul, after all.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia scrapes her spoon through the bottom of her bowl. She gives a little shake of her head towards Damian. "The problem isn't the League actually," she says. After a moment's pause she sighs and says, "It is Leviathan." They have connections to the league, but definitely not the League. "It could be possible Bane might be here over this. Though I actually doubt it. I would think he would be more likely to side with me than against me. But, I also don't know I want to gamble my life on whether I'm right, there," she says.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms quietly filing this away and marking it as something he will have to look into.
