Free Lancer has posed:
She was expensive, because supposedly she was the best. More importantly there just aren't that many good bodyguards who're willing to handle meta-human threats, and well it's an even shorter list if you're asking about Metropolis. Granted, expensive gets you a ride in a genuinely nice armored car at least so theres that right?

Exactly right on time that armored S-class Merc glides to a stop, and out she steps. Taking a moment to scan the road, before walking around to the passenger side to open the rear passenger door. Her gaze sweeping the sidewalk, and the buildings above before finally turning towards her this evening's client. "Good afternoon gentlemen, if you wouldn't mind could you please turn off your cellphones until we've left the city? We don't want any, extralegal fan boys tracking us now do we?"

Hammerhead has posed:
The car stops in front of Hammerhead and his two lieutenants, Bobby Sardone and The Corsican. Hammerhead came back from his trip from Gotham and was ready ti vist his next expansion zone, Metropolis. Sure, there were Meta galore over there, including the "Big Blue Boy Scout" himself, but the recent problems with Hook made Metropolis a tempting target for the metal-headed gangster. Hammerhead was wearing his usual blue pin-stripped suit. But, instead of his usual red tie, he was wearing a green one today. He was also wearing a blue fedora on top of his head. Bobby Sardone, the one who suggested that Hammerhead hired "The Free-Lancer' in the first place in case of any trouble in Metropolis was wearing a brown two piece suit and a pair of precription glasses. The Corsican was wearing a black tuxedo, sun glasses, and a black beret on the top of his head.

Hammerhead grumbled to himself as he pulled out his cell-phone and turned it off, his two lieutenats follwoing. Hammerhead then climbed into the car, followed by the Corsican, who greeted the woman with a hello in Italian, and finally by Bobby Sardone. Bobby grinned at her with a million dollar smile as he said to her," Thank you for agreeing to this job on such short notice. The boss here has important business to attend to in Metropolis, and we can't afford anything going wrong while there." Hammerhead just grunted in agreement.

Free Lancer has posed:
Inside the car it's all glorious german leather and two hundred year old burlwood. An S-class merc, is hardly a bad place to be afterall and beyond the subtle aroma of cherry pipesmoke the car seemed almost freakishly clean. Doors closed she slips around to slump into the driver's seat, and cranking that big twin turbocharged V-12 over.

"I understand that business can be unpredictable, an unfortunate side effect of the entrepreneurial spirit."And out into traffic, a few taps bringing up the rear camera on the central display as she begins taking a series of zig-zagging turns. Watching with interest for familar cars, though she hardly seems terribly worried to be honest.

"This car has been armored extensively, anything below a high powered rifle won't do more than scuff the paint. If we do encounter any unwanted attention, I would suggest you buckle up and let me earn my paycheck. If we crack a window to return fire, we are just providing our adversaries with an opportunity to get lucky. If there are any other questions gentlemen, now would be the time."

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead and his two lieutenants walk into the car and are obivously impressed. For a armoured car, it is surprisngly nice looking on the inside. Once the car starts rolling down the road and she brings up buckling their seatbelts and not getting involved, they all nodded unanimously. The supers in Metropolis weren't anything like the ones back home and they would easily be crushed if they tried to fight.

Once asked if any of them had questions, Bobby Sardone immidiatley cleared his throat and said to her," This is less of a question and more of a request. Can you keep some of the things we say while in this car or doing business in Metropolis a secret. You know, business secrets and all of that."

Free Lancer has posed:
"I'm a professional, your rivals can pay me no amount of money nor make any threat that would tempt me to betray your confidence. Honesty and reliability is the hallmark of a bodyguard however, so know that I will not lie on your behalf however."A switch flipped, the rear windows darken, the AC comes up and the big Merc climbs through traffic and onto the highway. "As a Swiss Mercenary I cannot lie, nor can I abandon my charge. So I would advise against blatantly extralegal activities infront of me. I understand this may result in a burdensome restriction, for which I do apologize."

And a pause as she hits the cruise, and settles in. "However if you'd like to confirm my resume, I can provide you the addresses of the last six capes who attempted to harass my clients. I'd advise however that an interview may be difficult, as none of them are obliged to depart their final resting places."

Hammerhead has posed:
Upon hearing the mercenary bring up the whole not lieing thing, The Corsican started saying something in Italian to Bobby, who responded in kind. It was about to turn into a arguement, when Hammerhead suddenly yelled out," Shut up!" Hammerhead then looed at her and said to her," Don't worry, i won't be wacking any bums here in Metropolis. I will mostly be doing meetins, especially with Mistah Lex Luthor himself, dat is if i can get ito contact with him."

Free Lancer has posed:
"I would offer my services, as the fact he is a prior client of mine is well known. I do not however have any current numbers for him, or his secretary. My apologies."The bit about wacking dudes, yeah not so much as a blink. Then again she's hardly choosey with paying clients, and who's more worried about capes than bad dudes? "I do have a suggestion if you're looking for lodging for the evening, The hilton up on the North side of town is very discrete and near some very fine dining opportunities."

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead just nodded when he heard that the bodyguard didn't know any of Luthor's current contact information. Upon hearing about about staying at the Hilton, Hammerhead nodded and said," Ya know, dat sounds like a fine idea. Thanks for da suggestion. Also, since we are on da topic of Luthor and you guarded him, wat his he like? Any quirks or specific triggers i should know about? If i get into a meetin with him, i don't wanna do somethin stupid dat can piss him off and get me killed, ya dig?"

Free Lancer has posed:
"He's the smartest man I've ever met, and I've met a number of incredibly smart men in my time. He appreciates brevity, and seems likely to respond exceptionally poorly to anything like a hard sell. His assistant, is not a secretary either. The woman moves like a knife, she's some kind of something."Theres a glance in the mirror, back towards Hammerhead. "He is also under an exceptional amount of surveilance by a certain red cape, and his associates. I would presume any discussion not taking place in a secure facility of his own design, is likely being overheard."

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead nods as he hears The Free-Lancer's description of Lex Luthor. He took mental notes on both the information of Luthor and on his assistant as well. Upon hearing about the Red Cape, he briefly paused and said," If i do meet up with Lutha, i will ask him to do it somehwere where dat biy scout ain't lookin."

Free Lancer has posed:
"Happy I could be of assistance sir. He was a good client, It would be most unfortunate if the two of you were detained in the course of your business ventures. I've got a Lamborghini that needs more work, and I can't verywell get the old girl running if all my best clients are locked up somewhere."Theres a smirk there and a glance towards the monitor, before sliding into the fastlane and picking up speed. "I should really just buy a Porsche like everyone else, but I'm afraid I'm a sucker for Italian cars. Quite the curse."

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead laughs at The Free-Lancers mention of Itlalian sports cars. He then says to her," Yeah, i wouldn't mind having one of those too. Too bad mah accountant Cruncher would have a stroke if i did get one. By da way, how much longa do we have to go before we reach Metropolis?"

Free Lancer has posed:
"You've got to shop used, the older Lamborghinis are the best ones anyway. You wouldn't believe the depreciation, It's easy to find a cherry Diablo for like twenty grand, and most of the time all they need is fiddly little fixes. Door handles, light switches."Theres a little shrug there, before checking the nav. "We'll be at our destination in twenty six, barring traffic sir. Would you like me to take a trip around the block, arrive Fashionably late?"

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead nods at The Free-Lancer's suggestion and says to her," Thanks fer da advice. I will look into dat when i arrive home from Metropolis." Upon hearing her suggestion to arrive fansinably late, Hammerhead shooks his head and said," No, i would like to go to the Hilton immeidaltey. Don't have any meetinggs scheduled until tommrow."
