Cast of Characters: Cyberdragon, Melinda May, Dazzler, Storm, Red Hood, Nightcrawler, Lex Luthor, Starfire, Rift

Cyberdragon has posed:
The Last time he was in Central park, he had run afoul of the Angel killer from out of state. But also those two, the guy with the Shotgun, the salt. And the woman, who had the weighted sash. The nice black sash with the weights in the end. IT's high quality and good silk. So Cyberdragon has been holding onto it, hoping to return it to it's proper owner.

Right now he is in one of the trees on the paths, lounging on a branch. Watching the comings and goings as his colors are altered to look like the leaves and tree bark textures.

Melinda May has posed:
And, as luck would have it, Agent May -- the owner of the aforementioned weighted sash -- is on her way through Central Park again. It's actually not a path she frequents as there are too many civilians passing through for her peace of mind, but sometimes it's the only way to get to where she's going. Also, considering what happened the last time she was in Central Park, she's also glancing up at the trees frequently as she walks.

Because.

Dazzler has posed:
The last time Alison Blaire was in Central Park, it was a Central Park in a Dystopian Earth where she helped lead a ragtag band of freedom fighting mutates against Xavier the Witch King. Which makes it the perfect place to get away from the Mansion with a woman who's a version of one of her bestest friends in the whole world walking along the paths and picking at a pretzel, because weirdness. Where better to have that sort of conversation?

"So that, Ororo, is why I'm older than you. Among other things. But honest that's the weirdest thing right now on my end, I mean you're all practically *X-Babies* and here I am with my crocheted shawl and my cane."

Not *really*, but *boy* has she been feeling it.

Storm has posed:
The white haired Goddess is walking along bext to Allison at a languid pace, enjoying the warm day for what it is, the breeze playing at her summer dress. She did give in on a salted pretzel from a stand a ways back, tearing a small bit to munch on while Allison speaks.

"I'm hardly a child." Perhaps one of the most mature out of the X-Men, but a force of habit due to her abilities and having to maintain 'calm'. But the comment is said with a light laugh. "And your not that old, my dear. Things are as.. normal as they can be, as far as I am concerned. Which I am grateful for, but we are garnering new students of all sorts. The School is rather busy, but this is a good thing."

Red Hood has posed:
Speaking of babies, the nineteen year old, formerly super-dead Jason Todd is playing basketball nearby. Central Park is enormous, and has everything from a zoo to basketball courts, a concert hall and...hell, even a castle. Jason is playing a pick-up game with some local youths, seemingly just some kid. Nothing odd here, surely. He is wearing a Gotham Giants basketball jersey, and black athletic shorts and shoes. His gear is cleverly stashed nearby, of course, and he is also here to keep an eye on a possible deal going on at the edge of his vision. Human traffickers have been moving people into Gotham, through New York, and he has been trying to scout out the operation to dismantle it, even if his team has been...lackuster, as of late.

Nightcrawler has posed:
There is on the breeze, a hint of smell, no... a stench of rotten eggs, as if someone had tossed away food and was left to rot in a far-off garbage can. As the lovely Ororo and Alison stroll, they may sense that the further up the path they go, the more prominent the pungeant aroma becomes. It's not too long, then, that Kurt hangs upside down from one of the higher boughs of a tree by his tail, flipping up and over and around, until he's on the path before them, a wide, pleased looking smile on his face. "I have found you," first, he looks to Alison, but it's a quick glance to incorporate Ororo into the 'you'. "There is a jazz festival tonight. May I ask two charming ladies to attend mitt me?"

Lex Luthor has posed:
"... and this is the last time I come into the city on a weekend. Even I, Lex Luthor, will not allow my life to be so consumed with work that I forget to enjoy the perfect life that I have crafted for myself."

Lex Luthor is standing in the middle of a path through Central Park and talking on one of his latest phones.

"Yes, I understand that as a politician there are things that happen that are beyond the Mayor's control. Yes, I understand that this is an emergency situation. However, what I have to propose will revolutionize the transit in this city. I am guaranteeing a seventy percent decrease in traffic within the first quarter of this venture's debut." Lex turns to look off towards some of the patrons in this park. "Fine. I will give him one hour. After that, I will take project somewhere else. Perhaps, Chicago."

Lex hangs up the phone and takes a moment to tuck it away before turning to look at two huge women that are standing behind him like they are ready to destroy whatever comes near.

"We're going to linger for an hour. At the 55 minute mark, you get the car and we'll leave this city to its Dark Ages."

Cyberdragon has posed:
As He is lounging Cyberdragon is aware of the entire area aroundf him and legs and arms dangling. And then finally he lifts his eyes up and then turns his head when he Spots May and with a smile he waits until she is close enough as he gives a Sharp Whistle. "Sash lady, one oclock, look high." he says calling down to her. He recalls vididly her call for reinforcements as he allows her to Spot and Identify him as his colors return to the normal.

As he leans down and slowly he starts to slide down moving from his thick branch slowly climbs down the trunk of the tree as he says, "I have something that belongs to you." he says. He's very casual on his approach as his neck has a black sash tied around his neck as May might realize it is heres. Once he is on the ground he will start to take off the sash. "You left this when we first met." he says rolling it up to return to her. "Good Quality silk. I've kept it clean." Granted the Sight of the red and black striped dragon climbing down the tree trunk might catch some attention.

Dazzler has posed:
"Yeah, well, I'm not certain you didn't spring out of your father's head fully grown, like Athena," Alison teases Ororo. The smell; she always makes a face the first time she smells it, but it's too familiar to discount. "Fuzzy!" Another unfamiliar familiar face she's had limited contact with. Even so! "Jazz? I'm d--"

Yeah, is that a Dragon? It's not attacking or anything, and if nothing else Kurt and Ororo are just as eye-catching in their own glorious ways, but there you have it. The unfamiliar.

Continuing with her thread of conversation, Ali just sort of nods over in Cyberdragon's direction as a sort of 'heads' up signal to her friends. "I'm down, always."

Storm has posed:
"Ah, no, very normal .. birth." Childhood? Thats a different story, but for another time.

With Kurt dropping in on them, Ororo sports an instant, warm smile for the German mutant. "Kurt, a pleasure as always." Her own answer to the mention of Jazz is detained by those pale blue eyes of hers finding the dragon across the way.

She watches long enough to see him trying to present a scarf to a woman, before looking back to Kurt. She does keep them in her sight, just in case. "That does sound like a lovely evening."

Red Hood has posed:
Well, the dragon causes the basketball game to stop. The kids stare, and Jason blinks. The appearance ALSO causes the two men about to have a clandestine meeting at a nearby bench to decided to handle their business a different way, on a different day...which totally screws over the Red Hood. Jason growls to himself and brushes his fingers back through his dark hair. One of the other teens bounces him the ball as they begin to move off, deciding to get away from the red and black thing with the scarf. Jason bounces it a few times, his own mind racing as he considers just what to do now.

Melinda May has posed:
May's eyes snap over and up toward the dragon the instant he whistles, so his instructions on where to see him are superfluous but appreciated nonetheless. She waits while he slithers down the tree then steps cautiously closer when he offers her sash back, accepting it with an apparent calm that is likely noteworthy to anyone that might have noticed.

"Thank you. So. May I ask your name? And, are you in the habit of frequenting the trees here?"

While it looks like she's simply chatting with the dragon, May is at least peripherally aware of others in the area. If they're just strolling, playing basketball, or disrupting the calm of the park with loud phone conversations, she's not pegging them as dangerous or anything. Simply aware of where they are in relation to her presenet location. That whiff of Hydrogen Sulfide, however, that gets her to glance over toward the trio chatting nearby.

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt's head spins around, his body following it like a lithe dancer doing a pirouette. Dragon? "Und me without my sword to protect the fair ladies," is grumbled, but goodnaturedly. It doesn't mean he doesn't position himself such that he can instinctively take care of the pair, even though they are more than capable of taking care of themselves. Blue and fuzzy is most definitely blue... and fuzzy, his yellow eyes glowing without features to remark, his tail dancing behind him, the tip flick-flick-flicking. He's a sight, certainly, to behold as he stands with the pair.

"Then I will be sure to be dressed accordingly.. shower.." Not shave. Kurt's voice is a touch distracted as he cants his head, watching. The kids, however, gain Kurts attention, and he gestures in that direction. Always, always protect the children.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex Luthor is hardly paying attention to his surroundings because he's more worried about this business deal that he's trying to work out with the City of New York than anything else. He doesn't noticed the Dragon but Hope and Mercy both do. Which is why they step in front of him and push him a bit in the opposite direction of where that Dragon has descended from.

Lex, however, does not allow his bodyguards to keep him from seeing what glory may his eyes fall upon. There's a bit of a grin as he peeks past both of their shoulders to see the Dragon. "Well. This could be interesting." Lex brings his phone up to his ear, again, as he's always been a believer in actually holding the phone. There's no reason for him to use those stupid headsets. This is more of a power move. To show exactly how much in control of the situation he is. Also to make it much easier to snap a pic of Cyberdragon.

"Kuttler. I'm sending you a picture." Lex grins once again. "I want one."

Cyberdragon has posed:
As he looks over to the two people who are getting up from the parkbench and he narrows his eyes at them. Something about that caught his attention, as he allows his lip to lift in a slight snarl but he lets them go for the moment. Turning his head back and then a look over to Alison, Ororo and of course Kurt. The Dragon says, "Cyberdragon, I frequent just about anywhere helping those in need. These area seems to have it's share of troubles."

He does catch the movement Kurt made int he direction of the children and when he peices together he offers the Blue fured mutant a soft smile, realizing he is concerned for the children.

The Motion from the two woman also catches his attention head turning to see the bald man and the two bodyguards, the Dragon's entire body is a form of a perfect blend of Biomechanical marvel. What appears to be scales over areas with possible metal plates.

Seems he is perfectly aware of what ever is going on around him no matter the possible angle from his head and eyes.

Dazzler has posed:
Demons, dragons, ninjas, bad-ass ladies... and the Mayor? Agressive business dude? Ali knows she's seen *someone* Lex-like in some reality somewhere, but she doesn't quite have him pegged yet. He's famous, she just doesn't remember *why* yet. Those Amazons with him sure are impressive, though.

It's like the whole world around the steadily building scenario pauses for a bit, and it's crazy! But Cyberdragon's actions put Ali down off of High Alert mode, dropping down to a nice, sane, Regular Heroic Alert. At least for now. She lets go of a breath she didn't realize she was holding - "So, the school. Can I also just say that it kinda blows my mind it's actually an open, identifiable, please-send-us-your-impressionable-youth actual school?"

"Because if this universe is so insane that doing that isn't painting a giant target on kids, then... holy crap, maybe I've finally found a Universe so insane it might actually let me stay for long enough to get comfortable." Which would be amazing. Moving sucks.

Melinda May has posed:
May can't help but notice Cyberdragon's hint of a snarl, and she's not really all that pleased to see that reaction even though it's clearly not aimed at her. The name he offers is also catching in her memory, though she's not placing why just yet. She does follow the dragon's eyeline and sees the two men moving to leave and while, yes, they do look a bit suspicious to her as well, they're leaving. And she wasn't here planning on taking anyone down so has only minimal weaponry on her person. She'll leave them be.

The dark blue man stepping protectively in front of his two companions catches her attention as well without realizing that her own inward approval is echoed by the dragon's smile.

"You might want to be a bit more careful about how you help," she tells the biomechanical creature. "Breaking bones is typically considered excessive use of force and could end up with you being hunted down as if this were Salem and you'd beaned someone with a pouch of catseye shells and cat bones."

Storm has posed:
"It would be nice if you stayed indefinitely." Storm offers aside to Alison, though she can't help but watch some of the others. Someone important looking taking a picture of what appears to be another mutant- Cyberdragon. That tends to create issues- bad ones.

"It has grown quite a bit, but it is a great comfort and well to see." Ororo is feeling uncomfortable with the ticking time bomb vibe she's getting from the area. You might see someone strolling that looks strange once in a while, but... Without thinking, she lifts a hand to rest on Kurt's shoulder lightly. "They will be safe." She murmurs about the youngsters. Many have run off, but some linger either not caring or out of some fascination.

That and the innocents here may not realize the collection of powerhouses that are around.

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt does keep that eye on the children even as the dragon smiles at him. That, at least, is most definitely a 'universal' sort of thing, and his alert gets kicked down a couple of notches. "I would that it was completely true, Ali, but there are still those who would prefer to see us gone." 'Us'.. those that most definitely don't //look// normal.

At the touch of Ororo's hand, Kurt's head dips and he slouches a little, getting a little more comfortable, a little less en garde, and he nods. "Ja. Though.." He can't help it, and his tail lifts to brush atop Storm's hand before he offers, "Right back.." and in the next second, there is that *bamf* sound, the sound of air collapsing in on itself, and the stench of brimstone.

The next second, Kurt is on a tree; the one the dragon just departed, and he's settled on a low branch with that selfsame *bamf*. "Welkommen, dann.. without sounding rude, may I ask who you are?" Not 'what'!

Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex Luthor hangs up the phone and tucks it away into his inside pocket before placing a hand on Hope's shoulder and one on Mercy's. They realize that they can let him through and Lex Luthor steps in front of them both. "I'll be just a moment. Keep an eye on the clock."

Hope and Mercy nod but watch closely as Lex Luthor takes the measured steps needed to head in the direction of the Cyberdragon. The look on his face is one of wonder and marvel. His approach isn't as silent or stealthy as perhaps it should be but Lex Luthor knows no true fear. He has faced many things, like his angry father, as well as the burning eyes of Superman. A metal dragon? Cake. Forty of them.

"My, my, my. Look at you." Lex Luthor just invades the conversation because that's how he rolls. "I have to say? Amazing. I'm almost impressed." Lex Luthor grins as he looks at the Dragon. "And believe me, it takes quite a bit of talent to impress the likes of Lex Luthor. You're on the right track."

Cyberdragon has posed:
"Well he was holding a child against her will. I wasn't inclinded to give him the ability to escape then ot from police." He says and doesn't seem overly worried about those around him. "I am curious you did chase the guy with the Shotgun. If my latin is correct, he was invoking a spell to contain demons. Which explained the Salt he threw at me. I was wondering if the individual is alright. I would like to meet with him, perhaps give him some tips on improving his effectiveness if he is the demon hunter I believe he is. His technique is in need of some improvement." he says.

Then the Bamf comes and instantly the Dragon recoils as the Bamf appears in the branch the dragon instantly is between May and the teleporter, wings spread out reflexively protectively. The Wings covered in scale like feathers, as he listens to the question, and seems to relax, "I am Cyberdragon. Just a new Hero to the area trying to help protect people." He says and then he offers a polite smiles to Mr. Luthor. "Thank you Mr. Luthor. If you missed it sir, my Name is Cyberdragon." And he offers his hand in a greeting. His wings have folded back now that he he doesn't percive an attack incoming.

Starfire has posed:
And the sight of a dragon with it's wings open attracts another to the area. The orang girl name Koriand'r flies her way down to investigate and looks over the dragon from on high. As it seems not to be very hostile, Kory slowly makes her way lower and looks the dragon over, despite Lex Luthor praising it so well.

"definitely interesting, to say the least." Kory says as she floats about....eye level to the dragon.

Melinda May has posed:
More H2S? The sound more than the smell puts May into instant alert, her eyes focusing on the blue-furred young man who is now in the tree above her. Oddly, rather than going tense at the sudden arrival, she seems shift her weight so she's standing even more casually than before. Anyone with sufficient martial arts training might recognize it as based in Tai Chi. CD's instantly moving to protect her is another clue on her mental map, but that doesn't mean she instantly relaxes again.

At the dragon's words about the man he'd apprehended the last time she saw him, May shakes her head no. "There are ways to subdue adversaries without permanently injuring them." And then she turns to look at Mr. Luthor more squarely as he walks right on up and talks to the dragon, her eyes making a quick assessment of his appearance, attire, and so on. Whoever this guy is, she kind of wants Fury to show up right about now and take him down a peg or eighteen. Those Amazonian bodyguards of his are still very much in her peripheral vision. Just in case.

Dazzler has posed:
"Any stay is by nature indefinite, with the Quantum Leap-like state of my life in general, 'Ro," Alison offers with a shrug, while keeping tabs on Kurt and *ahah LEX LUTHOR, THAT'S who the famous baldy is!* since they go... get all up in it over there.

Alison finds herself watching May; mostly because she and the dragon seemed to have been having some kind of business and now they've been all *kinds* of interrupted. Looking to Ororo, she smiles and sort of shrugs. "Shall we?"

Not that she waits for an answer before quietly strolling over there herself - staying out of the thick of it, but at least signalling to Kurt that his back is had.

Storm has posed:
The touch to her hand draws a hidden smile, but she retracts it just before he goes poof. At least the breeze blows some of the lingering smell away from her and Alison, but she doesn't seem outwardly bothered by it. Or used to it.

And now another one is so interested in the Dragon. "Perhaps we should go introduce ourselves?" She mentions aside to Alison. "Though he may be getting overwhelmed by the attention..." But it seems like she had the same idea.

A small nod of agreement and the Weather Goddess moves with her walking partner towards the growing group. Some things make Ororo slightly uncomfortable. Such as... large groups of strangers. "Good Afternoon." She offers as they near, her accent still richly wrapped in her Kenyan heritage.

Nightcrawler has posed:
Kurt crouches in the tree at eye-level, his head canting, his tail lazily wrapping about the branch. There's perfect balance in that tree, and once the wings drop, he nods his head. "Well met, Herr Cyberdragon. I am Kurt Wagner, und I do the same. Perhaps one day, you und I can speak of it?" He looks almost apologetic, however, as he continues, the smile remainig, "But not this evening. There is jazz to be listened to in the city, und I am a fan."

It's the others, however, that approach that gain Kurt's notice, and he studies the descending Koriand'r. Dark, hidden brows rise before he's gone from the branch with a *bamf*, the sound of air pushing in on itself to fill a vacuum, and the stench of brimstone left behind. Once again, he appears beside his friends, Storm and Ali.. and with a leaning in to kiss both of them on their cheeks, he murmurs, "I must leave, but I will pick you up this evening for the show, ja? It should be lovely." His voice drops, "It seems fine. I would not leave otherwise."

*bamf*

Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex Luthor continues to take in the great sight that is the Cyberdragon. "Interesting name. Fitting. Not as pompous and holier-than-thou as some other alleged protectors of the Earth. I commend your restraint in going a step too far. You are, indeed, quite the marvelous wonder, I must say." Lex steps a bit closer to get a better look at the dragon while making sure to blatantly ignore the Agent that is paying him too much attention. "I am guessing you're a blend of biological and technological elements crafted together for your survival? The combination of which has given you the ability to help those that are in need?"

Hope and Mercy notice that they are not-really being noticed by Melinda May but also not-notice her back to show her that they too can play the game of monitoring potential threats. They each cross their arms over their chests. May's Move.

Starfire has posed:
Kory is hovering over Lex's head.

Good thing she's not a pigeon.

She slowly circles around Cyberdragon to look the machination over, whether Hope and Mercy notice her or not. Her attention is on the dragon, but she does lower herself to the ground.......perhaps near Hope and Mercy......still looking at the dragon....

Cyberdragon has posed:
The Arrival of Koriand'r was detected before she was sighted and then he is actually forced to look up just before Koriand'r decended. For those it just seems like he had sensed her approach before she was actually there. His ability to detect Bio-electrical and electrical fields in general is handy, and when it's in the sky, it's easier to pick out. As he lifts his left eyebrow and in responce to her. "Indeed I find it fascinating as well that I have suddenly gained so much attention." He says in as an emotionlessly voice similar in tone to a certian Vulcan as his wings tighten on his back. His tail curls some, possibly making sure that if he has to defend himself and escape.

"I won't kill unless it is a measure of absolute extreme last resort. and I hope that never happens." he says to Mr Luthor. The Dragon notices the two bodguards. And of course the Dragon takes a step back into an area where he is not surrounded.

Melinda May has posed:
Touche'. Let the D-bag get all up in Cyberdragon's face. If he makes the dragon angry, she will offer ketchup.

Someone suddenly arriving from overhead is less expected, so as May is stepping back to give the biomechanical individual more room, she abruptly looks up at the orange-skinned woman and watches her move to land near Hope and Mercy.

Okay, she is officially getting too old for this go shi. Maybe the two women that are clearly friends of the now-departed blue-furred young man are more 'normal'. She steps toward them, but not far enough to be considered joining them.

Dazzler has posed:
Normal is soooooo relative. "Heya," Alison offers quietly to May -- she may not being *joining* joining, but Ali's gonna wrap her on into a conversation anyway, because that Dragon is *definitely* getting antsy and nobody wants what happens when dragons get antsy.

"Do you work for the Man?" she asks, perhaps totally inappropriately, but that's one of the many sequins in the tapestry that is Dazzler. "You've got the air of someone who works for The Man." Rambling a little, she goes on without prompting, "I used to work for The Man for a hot second. Replaced by a shapeshifter and kept in a coma so they could use me to make drugs. Nobody noticed."

Which still rankles, considering her tone. "Alison Blaire, this amazing Goddess is Ororo Munroe."

Storm has posed:
"Alison..." Ororo says her name in a warning tone- Don't babble too much to strangers, especially ones that look like they may work for the government. Just asking for trouble.

The African's light blue eyes survey the group, and a quiet goodbye is given to Nightcrawler, but her attention is mainly on the two women closest to her. Easier to manage. She inclines her head at her introduction with a polite smile, at least. But especially with Nightcrawler gone, Ororo has gone mostly quiet. Alert. Letting herself fall in sensory with her surroundings and the currents.

Can never be too prepared especially when in close quarters to a possible time bomb of mayhem.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Hope and Mercy are keeping tabs on all the potential threats that seem to be closer to Lex. They don't make it obvious but they do make it clear that they are ready to knock some heads off bodies if they attempt anything to harm the great Lex Luthor. Mercy, even though she doesn't look at any watch, seems to be making sure that they don't stay here a minute longer than they need to. She's got the time in her head.

"You can do many things, I'll bet. Killing should definitely remain off that list." Lex offers a smile to the Dragon before taking a step backwards. "The City of New York is fortunate to have someone as magnificent as you are to protect it. Please, do continue to do a wonderful job. I look forward to reading all about you." Lex grins. "In the newspapers, of course."

With that statement made, Lex turns to head back in the direction of those bodyguards that are watching his back and the clock.

Starfire has posed:
Kory doesn't seem too bothered by Hope and Mercy as she strides right by them towards 'Ro and Alison. "A goddess you say? I have never met a goddess before." She says looking to Ororo. "You look human to me." She seems nice, if a little naieve.

Cyberdragon has posed:
"Agrees the taking of Life is to always be avoided." he says to Luthor as he smiles. As the area seems to be opening up the Dragon will relax as he has more freedom. The looking to Ororo and Alison he says, "Well it was a pleasure meeting you all, but I need to get going." and then Turning to May, "It was pleasuring returning your Scarf to you and a more pleasant encounter. I do hope to see you around." he says to May. And he will take the oppurtunity to take a few steps back and his wings lift up and then down as he takes to the sky with a nice strong flap of those wings. No scales or feathers are lost from his wings be he sores into the sky circling around the area to pick up speed and head off toward the general direction those two guys moved and may be trying to track them down.

Melinda May has posed:
"The 'Man'," May echoes Alison. She very clearly heard the capitalization there, and she doesn't deny it. She's been a 'fed' for decades now, that's not something that can be easily hidden. "That's one way to put it. Ms. Blaire, Ms. Munroe." She nods a greeting to each of them. "Call me May."

Her attention returns to Cyberdragon when he takes his leave, and then she's focused on Luthor again... right up until Kori walks right up to address Ororo with the forthrightness of an innocent. That causes May to take a small step back and away from the orange-skinned woman. Maybe it's time for her to be on her way as well.

She takes a moment to fasten the length of black silk Cyberdragon returned to her around her waist as a kind of belt. It ... doesn't really go with her current attire of jeans and a long-sleeve shirt, but it'll suffice.

Starfire has posed:
Kory looks up as the dragon flies it's way into the sky. "Mmm...I supposed I should be on my way as well. I need to get back to the tower with this bit of information." She says as she floats back into the air, and starts her flight back to Metropolis.....

Dazzler has posed:
"Nice t'meet you, May." Alison grins a little - waving off as Cyberdragon takes HIS leave too, she finds herself shrugging a little. "The Man, SHIELD, Argus," Yeh, she starts *listing*. Ororo's warning tone went one ear and out the other, obviously. "The DEO, SWORD, M13, Black Air," ... trailing off. "Not that I've worked for all those or anything, that would be sheer crazy."

"-What?- Actually, if you work for one of those get me in touch. I have crazy multidimensional stuff under my belt and I might be helpful. Y'never know."

Storm has posed:
There is a light sigh that leaves Ororo. The group is dispersing and Alison is rambling off things in public that might .. bring unwanted trouble. Kory is registered, but she's flying off before she can even answer.

"Alison." She says her name more firmly, a warning flash going through her pale eyes. "Some things are not for public forum."

Back to May, she smiles politely again: "A pleasure, Ms. May."

Though with some people leaving, Storm is at least relaxing a touch. Not so many hovering in one place. That choking feeling of a time bomb growing near is fading. Calmer. Yes. Always good.

Rift has posed:
A distortion forms in the air near the small lake in Central Park. It ripples and then tears open to reveal some kind of rift - or... a portal. Through it can be seen clear skies and a roof of an old building (which might be recognized as the rooftop of Xavier's School). A girl comes through - one whose entire body (clothes and all) glows with a dull red light that washes out any other details - and somehow, visible in the middle of her arms and legs, are bright glowing red lines of light - starbursts of similar lights visible in the middle of her chest and head. She's carrying a small picnic basket as she floats out, looking around, her glowing eyes widening when she sees the familair white hair of her former teacher Ororo Munroe... former because she just graduated high school. She floats slowly in that direction, the air rippling around her slowly as she moves, heading towards her. "Hey Miss Munroe!" she calls, waving as she is drifting slowly towards her, the rift slowly closing behind her.

Lex Luthor has posed:
Lex Luthor grins as he watches the Cyberdragon leave. He approaches his bodyguards and is in the middle of adjusting his cufflinks when his phone rings. He waits for three rings before he picks it up.

"Ah, Mr. Mayor. I thought I'd be hearing from you." Lex looks at his watch. "You're cutting it close but I suppose I could come by and let you get in on the ground floor of the future of American transit." Lex ignores everyone as he starts walking off towards where he's supposed to be headed. Blatantly paying no attention to the rip in space and time as he's focused on his phone call. "Why yes, it was rude to keep me waiting but I won't hold that against you. Not this time. Central Park proved to be an interesting sightseeing experience."

As Lex heads off, Hope and Mercy linger long enough to make sure DISTORTIONS IN SPACE AND TIME are not a threat to their Beloved Boss, before turning and following after him.

"Why yes, I do believe LexCab will be bigger than Superman..."

Melinda May has posed:
May watches Koriand'r take her leave, making another mental note. This is just proving her assessment that the game is changing and not in her favor. Damnit.

Alison's listing of alphabet soup agencies, including at least one or two she's never heard of before earns her a raised eyebrow from May. "Perhaps something //can// be arranged." Because... M13? Black Air? What? But, she's in agreement with Ororo at this point. "We shouldn't talk here, though. Too many ears."

While she doesn't openly show it, May is glad that Luthor is leaving. He just ... seems slimy to her. Maybe she's dealt with enough bigwigs in her time to have developed an aversion to them. And those bodyguards. Yeesh.

As if today hasn't been crazy enough with dragons and douchebags and devilishly deutsche young men (oh my), the freaking portal and floating young woman greeting Ororo loudly and cheerily is really the icing on the cake.

Just wow.

Dazzler has posed:
"No kidding," Ali replies - it's almost sass-back, but really, Ororo's warning tone the *second* time is all it takes to actually remind her that.... yeah. She's said way more than maybe she really intended to and it's freaking Grand Central Station here on the paths of Central Park all of a sudden.

Stepping back half a step to let Ororo take the lead with the newcomer, Ali reaffirms to May, "I *know*, right?" quietly. Not so quiet, "Friend of yours, 'Ro?"

Storm has posed:
Yes, Ororo may seem 'normal' if just a little visually different. Boy is May wrong about that, though.

A small nod of appreciation for the agreement, and a little more relaxation as Lex leaves. She's walked through here enough times, but its never been... Quite this active. Some leave, and another arrives. Rather flashy. Why not draw big targets on their backs? Ororo likes to remain subtle. For someone like her, its as much for everyone else's protection as it is hers. "Kitora." She greets smoothly.

She may need to talk to Jean and the Professor about re-impressing the art of 'Subtlety'.

"A former student; She graduated." Ororo explains to Alison, remaining firmly in her spot.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua blinks as she lands, her feet touching the ground, nodding slowly... as her body stops glowing suddenly and now she looks like a normal girl - well, as normal as a Japanese girl can look with red hair and red eyes. "Oh right - I didn't realize anyone would be here - I forgot to 'turn off' when I saw you, Miss Munroe." She's carrying a picnic basket, smiling. "I... brought a light lunch. Would either of you care to join me?" she asks, glancing between the familiar Ororo and the other two. She smiles. "Oh, I'm Kitora Alua. Miss Munroe was one of my teachers and I just graduated high school." She sets the basket down and extends her hand for the other two, offering a handshake as greeting.

Melinda May has posed:
May nods to Alison and turns to study the young woman with the picnic basket, who now seems completely mundane. Fascinating. Though, if Ororo was one of her teachers... okay, so white hair isn't just an affectation. Got it. She doesn't let that thought show on her face, though.

When Kitora offers a handshake, May does actually step forward to shake her hand. "May." Yeah, she's about as chatty as Logan. Deal with it.

Dazzler has posed:
Alison also shakes the offered hand in turn, "Alison Blaire;" which may, depending on Kita's musical tastes, ring a bell. If so, way older than she should be. Way. As far as lunch goes... she still has about half a pretzel she'd *completely* forgotten about. She's not super into it, "May and I have some stuff to go over," she offers to Stoic Asian Lady Agent of The Man - though she silently checks with Ororo for her lead on the whole matter before just running off.

Storm has posed:
Ororo smiles thinly to the group, though her eyes are settled on Kitora, a sense of disapproval in the blue. "Central Park is a very public place, Kitora. Anywhere, not there, you have to take with a measure of caution, especially a large park like this during the day." She admonishes. Graduated or not, its a lesson she should have learned.

A slow breath is exhaled- Practice calm, John Spartan. "Go on. We can catch up later over tea." She offers to Alison with a calmer smile. "It was nice to meet you, Ms. May."

To Kitora: "To be quite honest, I should return. It has been.. an eventful day."

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua nods as she looks disappointed. "Oh well. I portal in normally in an isolated corner of the park - it's the easiest way of getting here. But I forgot to switch off when I saw you. I'm sorry, Miss Munroe." She reaches into her basket and pulls out a peanut butter jelly sandwich she starts gnawing idly.

Melinda May has posed:
May knows better than to get into the middle of a teacher admonishing a student, even a former one. But then Alison saying she needed to talk earns Ms. Blaire a glance. Okay, then. So she nods to Kitora and Ororo then looks at Alison.

"Ms. Blaire." Lead the way.

Dazzler has posed:
"See you later at the concert, 'Ro," Alison chimes, and she even waves to Kitora, "Nice to meet you - see you around the school, I'm sure," Graduates never seem to leave the place for long, after all. Turning back to may, Alison actually manages a business-like nod! "Take me to your leader."

So close.

Storm has posed:
"Why don't you join me for lunch tomorrow, if you are available, Kitora?" Ororo isn't without heart, even if she's getting onto someone. Lesson done- time to move on. "See you later, Alison. Ms. May." Though the offer given, she will linger enough to hear an answer before the Weather Goddess turns to head out of the park and back to the mansion.

Rift has posed:
Kitora Alua nods. "That sounds lovely, Miss Munroe," she states as she settles down with her basket of food as she watches everyone leave. She hmmmmms as she stretches out, gazing up at the sky, wondering what this lunch will be like. (Perhaps she should eat lunch before going to lunch with Ororo so she won't look like a glutton - for she eats like a speedster.)
