Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie had a training session lined up with Barbara. She'd put in extra hours on the Batcycle simulator and finally moved on to other aspects of her equipment. She was becoming familiar with it all and starting to use it without needing to think.

But there were still plenty of areas for her to improve. Her computer skills for one. And so tonight was going to be spent trying to break into systems, the likes of which Barbara would be able to do without thought, but Stephanie would probably struggle with for most of of the night.

But before training, there is ice cream. Stephanie shows up a quartet of pints. "There's vanilla with blackberry and chocolate swirl. Lemon and raspberry. Chocolate chip chunk. And cookie dough," Stephanie says with a smile to Barbara when she's let in. Stephanie will offer the redhead a quick hug. "How's the knee doing?" she asks.

Oracle has posed:
"Knee is right as the setting sun, so long as I don't go crazy with it.. So no marathons for me, until after the new year." Babs says as she's releasing Stephanie from the hug. Just now she's wearing workout attire, having just taken off the fingerless strike gloves when the blonde Batgirl arrived on her monitors. Her hair is all pulled back into a really tight ponytail and she's just now replaced her glasses on her face, reaching out with a couple fingers to hook them through the plastic loop of the bag of cartons.

"How about you? I've been looking over your simulator scores, you're really starting to get the hang of it, babe." Turning so the ice-cream dangles over her shoulder, "Give me a couple minutes and I'll get changed.. Might grab some wine for myself, if you want a glass?" Voice rising in response to distance away from her blonde friend.

Spoiler has posed:
The shorter blond smiles at hearing of the knee's improvement. "I'm doing pretty well. School is kicking back off and I have a full load though I didn't overdo it this semester. The job with Tim, doing auctions for him, is working out pretty well, too," she says.

"Oh, you go ahead, I've never really acquired the taste for wine yet," says the girl who just turned twenty-one a few weeks ago. She heads over to one of the windows to look out across Gotham. The sun is down and the city lights are coming up. Somewhere out there, other members of the team are on the prowl, but the blond Batgirl has the night off from that. "I would never get tired of this view," she calls loud enough that Babs should be able to hear her.

Oracle has posed:
Babs grins back at Stephanie from the kitchen beneath the loft where the Oracle Array resides, pulling down a bottle of wine from a rack, along with a glass. "I do not envy you those days. Working, school, training, /and/ patrols?" Flubbing her lips a little. Twisting the quark out of her wine with an audible pop.

"I signed Charlie up for classes at an All Girls prep school, but I really think I need to send her to Public School." Babs says with a little frown, moving to join Stephanie at the windows. She hits a switch near the wall and the White Glass of the Clocks face darkens slightly so that the massive window allows a full view of Gotham's skyline as far as the Harbor as she steps up beside Steph, hand holding a carton of Ice cream out, "I love it up here." She agrees with a nod, slow sipping her wine.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown takes the vanilla, blackberry chocolate crisp pint and the spoon with a smile. "It's a lot," Stephanie agrees of her schedule as she takes the lid off and peeks off the protective covering inside. "But it's worth it. I love what we do. I don't know that I could stop doing it. It's like... coming alive," the vivacious blond says, though keeping her tone quieter as she says it.

She reaches up a hand to rest it on the darkened window. "Besides, I've got a lot of work to do to be able to afford myself a view like this somewhere," she says, flashing a small grin over to Barbara. Stephanie gets a spoonful of the ice cream then, bringing it to her lips and then just savoring the taste. "Whoever first came up with this was a genius," she comments of the cold treat.

Oracle has posed:
Babs smirks at stephanie, then turns back to the view with her wine. Her own carton of ice cream is set away on a table for the time being so one arm can cross beneath the other, near her underarm. "Sometimes I'll sit over here and watch the sunrise." Indicating a spot, not far off, with an overstuffed armchair angled towards the big bay, "Puts everything back into perspective.. see the world for what it actually is, rather than the individual parts that we see up close. I'd gotten to where I only saw the ugly parts of Gotham..." Pointing towards the window with a finger extending out from her glass, "This brings me back."

Then she turns a little and scoops up her ice cream, headed for the couch... having completely forgotten about changing. There's a little laugh from the redhead, "Like most things, I'm sure it was completely by accident. Likely someone left milk sitting out until it frosted and enjoyed it... reproduced it for human consumption... Voila.." Stepping directly over the arm of the couch to drop down into the cushion cross legged with her carton deposited in the little nest of her thighs. "Likely less genius and more happenstance, but they were brilliant for mass producing it."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown slowly spoons out more ice cream as she looks out over the city. "It definitely does look better from further out," she says, adding a soft chuckle. Stephanie presses the spoon down into the layer of crispy chocolate within the ice cream, breaking it and then getting a small piece of it to let it melt in her mouth.

"Mom had me over for dinner yesterday," she says. "Told her about the job. Not all the details, but the acquiring things by auction and getting a commission and also earing part of what I save if I get things below value. She was pretty proud of me," Stephanie says, the blue-eyed blond breaking out in a small smile. Praise was something hard to come by in her household. Barbara would know of the opoid addiction Stephanie's mother has dealt with most of Stephanie's life.

Oracle has posed:
Babs nods to that, adjusting her glasses up with a two fingers tugging them a little at the side of one lense. She doesn't coment any further on the view, however... it kind of speaks for itself really. Everything in the Apartment atop the Clocktower does, if she's being honest. She'd worked very hard for it all... and had a lot of lucky breaks most people wouldn't have.

"Yeah?" Glancing up and over at Stephanie with a little grin while pulling off the lid of her ice cream along with the plastic cover atop the icy treat. "She should be proud of you, you're working hard to get somewhere better. I know I'm proud of you.. come a long way from the woman you were even a year ago." Motioning with her spoon towards the window, indicating Gotham before she spoons out some of the blue berry chunks into her mouth.

Babs is all about self empowerment. It's sort of her thing.

"I'm doing some side work for Tim. Getting his little hotspot's security in order. I think I have a working prototype for the access panels he wants, but I still need to do a trial run on them before I'm comfortable installing."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie moves over to find a seat near Barbara that still affords the chance to enjoy the view. "Tim really is pretty remarkable," Stephanie comments. She digs the spoon at her ice cream, finally coming up with another mouthful which is savored for several seconds before she continues. "Dick knows a lot about the equipment. He's been helping me the chemistry especially. But Tim just seems to have a head for all of that, the fabricating and designing and everything," Stephanie says of the Robin that she was first drawn to as a teen, who had a large part of her life going beyond gymnast in a homemade vigilante suit.

Stephanie gets another spoonful of ice cream. "What do you think of this new girl?" she asks of Misfit. "I like her spunk," she says.

Oracle has posed:
Babs grins of talk about Tim and Dick, they /are/ her brothers afterall. In so much as anyone is, really, she's never been adopted by Bruce Wayne, but she more or less grew up with them both.. As close as brothers, Tim most of all since he followed her joining the Crusade. "He is. As close to my mental accumen as anyone..." Squinting playfully, teasing the younger man with a bemused grin. "With a good heart. He'll definitely make something of himself."

She takes another big spoonful and 'hmms' quietly, nodding to Stephanie. "Charlie? Misfit. Yeah, I like her." Pointing up at the loft, "I'm letting her stay here. Got her enrolled in classes." She glances down at her smart-watch, "She should be just starting her patrol actually." Then her gaze falls down to the ice cream, "...I think... at least I've been 'thinking' about... adopting her. Officially. That kid has lost everything and I'm in a position..." Motioning around her apartment, "To... well not replace it, but buffer that pain. Give her an environment to grow? She really thought she was just going to stop doing everything and fight crime /all the time/." That gets a snort, as if Barbara Gordon would /ever/ allow someone to forgo their life for the sake of the crusade.

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie's blue eyes focus on Barbara as she listens, apart from glancing up towards the loft when it is indicated. "Wow, that's pretty awesome of you, Barbara," Stephanie says. "Are you going to be able to talk her into attending school? Or home school her?" she asks.

Stephanie gets another small bite of her ice cream. "I can't even hardly imagine what that would be like to have some sort of power like she does. I'm kind of glad we don't have more of that here. I mean, can you imagine if Penguin or Two-face had some enhancement? They are bad enough as they are," she says, sighing.

Oracle has posed:
"I made her an offer she couldn't refuse." Babs says with a smirk at the Godfather quote, "She has access to a lot here.. training, resources.. a home." Motioning around with her spoon at the clocktower, "But the tradeoff is going to school... and not just going, but doing well. Her grades slip, she loses a little. That's how being a kid works, it doesn't matter if you're a vigilante or a meta-human."

Cause and effect.

Becoming an adult.

She likewise nods to the mention of her powers, chucklign quietly with a little nod, "That would... I mean I've dealt with my fair share of powered villains over the years, but I can't imagine being one of them... and certainly not here in Gotham. She's a special kid." Agreeing with a grin and another spoonful of ice cream, "I just hope she always uses it responsibly."
