It's Good to Be Home
Date of Scene: 12 September 2019
Location: Roof, Titans Tower
Synopsis: Kory, a bit shell-shocked from being almost delivered to her evil sister, gets some useful counseling from Raven.
Cast of Characters: Starfire, Raven

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r hasn't stepped foot in the Tower since she got back via Boom Tube which she had aim above the Tower. She has set up camp up there with the Silkie, a gallon jug of mustard, some food, and a few blankets (some of the other Titans brought her stuff). She is acting a bit manic as she just curls up in the blankets on one of the lounge chairs, staring up at the stars as they emerge from twilight gloom.

Raven has posed:
At some point, Raven was there. When, and how, is a perplexing question indeed- but she has clearly been present for some amount of time. After all, the roof is something of Raven's Place that isn't her room.

It is not unusual to see her meditating here- and tonight is no different, save that someone has set up a shanty for themself on the roof. Raven, for her part, has ignored it. Kori's presence is known- and has been known- but Raven is just trying to go with her typical routine.

This is why she is here. Back to Kori, Raven floats cross-legged. Her boots and sweater are off to the side, stripped away for the ritual of meditation as she goes about centering herself in solemn silence. Her presence can only be -seen-, it cannot be felt, nor can she be heard. She disturbs the world none with her meditation. That is, of course, the point. She just doesn't usually have an audience of any sort.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r yelps suddenly as she sees a shooting star as she turns her head to the side, then blinks. "Damnit, I'm just being a big blurthlog," she mutters as she then gazes over. "Oh, hello, Friend Raven," she murmurs in a shaky voice. "I... sorry..." She shakes her head as she just doens't look at the stars anymore.

Raven has posed:
Long gone are the days where the mere presence of a voice will fully break Raven's trance. Instead, as Star makes it known that she is actually paying attention to the world around her, one of Raven's hands moves down to her sweater. She pulls it up, and then makes to pull it over herself to better cover her top half. "Hello, Kori. You don't need to apologize." Her voice doesn't betray any level of annoyed- just acceptance that Kori is there and that she isn't alone.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r sighs. "I just feel so pathethic. That oaf showed up, and... it was... like my teenage years all over again. I was so scared I was never going to be free again..." She lowers her head, crying. "They know where I am. My horrible sister... knows where I live. What am I going to do?"

Raven has posed:
There is only a momentary hesitation. Raven considers herself far from the Titans' therapist. However, she... Often can be. For the moment, duty calls. She touches down, not falling into a sit but rather uncoiling the pythonic lengths of her legs so as to go from floating, to standing. "File a report on it." she begins, somewhat coldly.

"Then, -we- wait until your sister arrives. -We- show her that she is not the only one who has allies. Perhaps both of you will learn that you are not alone." Her tone of voice isn't comforting, but her words are at least meant to be. She has not turned to face Kori yet.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods. "I swore blood oath. My parents cannot rest in peace... until her blood stains my hands, and her deathrattle fills my ears - but I know it's a futile hope. Unless I can take every superhero this world has to offer back home..." She shakes her head. "File a report with... who?" she asks.

Raven has posed:
Raven turns her head then, her hood still down, as she looks over towards the brazen alien. "I don't think it would require everyone, and if your sister is as cruel and horrible as you say, that her knowing where you live puts you in some sort of danger, it's a better thing than you think. As for who to file a report with... Us. Tell the Titans what happened. We will be ready."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly. "I'll write something up and tell it to everyone. I don't have much intelligence - I was a bit out of it." She sighs softly. "Also, I'm pretty sure that Green Lantern Tyran'tar is working with the traitor queen. I'm not sure. He was the one that Lobo brought me to."

Raven has posed:
At that, Raven shrugs. "One green lantern isn't a problem. Earth has something like five at any one time. I am certain that either the conflict between them would go in our favor, or that they'd -all- be denied the right to action- Tyran'tar included. Though, I think it'd be prudent to question the logic of giving a power like that to someone who has Tyrant in their name."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r blinks. "Huh?" she asks. Then ohs. "That's not fair. It's a well-respected name back home and doesn't have that meaning. Remember, he wasn't named thinking of how it'd sound in English." She shrugs. "I'll see what I can do. I just can bear to have walls around me right now. Maybe tomorrow I can brave going back to my room."

Raven has posed:
Raven raises a brow, but then offers another shrug. "That might be the case, but it sounds like he's living up to the terran connotations of his name. If you need it, I'm sure that you can ring Stardust or Robin and they'll do it for you."
