Location: Bushwick (Mutant Town), Brooklyn
Synopsis: Zorro and other heroes get into a situation In Bushwick
Cast of Characters: Zorro, Beast, Pippi, Nightingale

Zorro has posed:
The sounds of tires screeching filled the air of Bushwick as the black sedan screeched down the street, being follwed by a black motrorcycle being driven by a familiar black figure who stood out in the daylight. Zorro normally hated going out in the day, perfering to do his work at night. But, the man in that car, a slum lord by the name of Fredrico Diaz, was an elusive target for a while and Zorro knew this would be his only opportunity to get him before he disappared again. Zorro sped up his bike closer to the car. The passenger side door opened, revealing a man wearing a tank-top and blue jeans. The thug glared as he pulled out a pistol and fired it. Zorro swearved his bike out of the way to dodge the bullet then, in a act of great athleticism, leapt from his bike and onto the roof of the car. As the car swearved in a attempt to get him off, Zorro held on tightly and began to stab the windshield of the car with one of his throwing daggers.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is walking down the street for once not in the middle of working. Cargo shorts and a hawaiian shirt on, a fried twinkie in his hand, he nibbles on it as he turns a corner and comes upon some activity. Hearing a car, then seeing a fight, he starts to walk quckly, finishing his twinkie as he takes in what's going on.

Pippi has posed:
Why was it always trouble with cars in Mutant Town?

Pippi had heard the peal of tires and the breaking of plastic and metal from below, and had hopped up on a handy crate to peer out of a storm drain, keeping to the shadows as her amber eyes peered out over the street -- around ankle level. She sees the man in black, the gun-wearing man with the blue jeans and saw the former leap off his motorcycle and onto the sedan, giving a wince as her ears fold back at the action. Hard to say who was the good guy or the bad guy here, and she was holding back, glancing left and right down the sewer tunnels below.

Nightingale has posed:
How is it that somehow, Shannon had been coming back to this particular area more often than not of late? It didn't matter much, though. It was an afternoon out, and thankfully, Hank had been kind enough to let her hitch a ride. A simple, quiet afternoon out.

     How deceiving appearances could be.

The first thing to catch her attention is the sound of tires screeching, putting the winged teen on alert. She tenses for a moment, and then quickens her pace, close behind Hank. Something told her this could get messy.

Zorro has posed:
The car continued to swerve and a few bullets went flying out of the windows of the car as Zorro continued to stab at the car with his dagger. Suddenly, the windshield shattered and Zorro reached into the car and turned the steering wheel towards a wall. Zorro leapt off the car right before it crashed into a brick wall, totaling it. Fredrico and the man with blue jeans stumbled out of the car, Fredrico's vintage 70s polyster suit scuffed up from the crash. Zorro immeidatley threw a throwing dagger at the gunman's shoulder, incapacitating him. As the gunman screamed in pain, Zorro approached Fredrico and pulledo ut his rapier. He then pointed the sword at Fredrico and said," Fredrico Diz. You make a profit off of other people's misery. Running slums in Pelham and not giging your tenants proper heating, running water, and not maintaining your buildings. I demand that you right your wrongs, or you will be hearing from me again."

Suddenly, another car sped up and four men with Uzi came out. Fredrico grinned as he said," I think not Senor." The men then opend fire on Zorro, who took cover behind the wrecked car while Ricardo started to crawl away.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy raises a hand and shouts back toward Shannon. "You stay back, this could get bad..." And then the automatic weapons come out, to prove his point. Hank isn't entirely sure what's going on, but he's glad he has his bullet proof vest, even if he left the fedora at home, as he races toward Zorro. "Oh it's you!" he calls out. "Need help?" he asks as well, he trise to come up from behind on the four men, for an arms-wide leaping tackle of the whole group.

Pippi has posed:
Well, she recognized McCoy. Which meant the black-clad sword-weilding guy was probably on the side of Good, and she grimmaces a moment before the metal from the sewer grate below the drain bends up, and the red-and-white mutant slips out, dark hood pulled over her ears and (most of) her head, tail tucked into her shirt as she moves through the street drawing up a street sign (coincidentally asking people to pick up after their pets -- $250 fine), and uses it to try and whack at the uzi-bearing guys from the other side and push them towards Henry McCoy!

Nightingale has posed:
Fine. Shannon would stay back, but she would be nearby, to keep an eye on things. "You got it, Mr. McCoy... eyes in the sky, flying high!" With strong downstrokes of her wings, she takes to the air, the better to keep an eye on the fracas below. The cries of pain make her wince, regardless of the source, but with bullets flying, there was no way she could safely get to the injured.

And then there was the masked man. Again! What was he doing here? What was his interest in this area? This was definitely something she was going to have to talk over with Sam. Meantime, she just had to worry about keeping herself in one piece, so if help was needed, it would be there.

Zorro has posed:
The combination of Beast's tackle attack and Pippi's move take out 3 of the unfortunate gunmen. The fourth one looks like he is about to run away, but stops short at a bench and takes cover and starts to shoot at Beast and Pippi again. Meanwhile, Fredrico picks up a shard of broken glass and charges Pippi, intending to stab her. Zorro immediatley goes out of cover and starts to chase after the slum lord while shouting," Kid, look out!"

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy makes sure the goons he knocked down stay down, disarming them before he takes stock of the situation. SEeing Pippi getting attacked, and Zorro handnling that, he ducks, and starts running to flank the guys with guns. Getting behind cover as he can to approach.

Pippi has posed:
Pippi turns, showing the squarish muzzle as Frederico moves to take her on. She grips the street sign pole tightly in her hand, her ears pinning back beneath the hood as she reaches back, grabs the door of the Uzi-guy-bearing-car, and RIPS it from its hinges with a metallic squealing, slinging it at Frederico and his 1970's era polyester suit!

    Take THAT!

Nightingale has posed:
Where there was a will, there was a way.

Just because Shannon had been told to keep her distance, and she obeyed, did not mean she was out of the fight entirely. Unfortunately, this also meant someone was about to lose the potted plants off of their windowsill. She grimaced, disliking the necessity of this, but if it could buy Hank more time to get into position and take the gunmen down, so be it. With the shooters down below focusing on the targets on the ground, they would have little to no way to see an aerial attack coming. Shannon swoops down to a windowsill, picking up two potted geraniums, and flying to well above the fight, in Hank's general direction.

Bombs away! Ye olde geraniums to the craniums, as she lets the two potted plants go, watching them fall towards the gunmen's heads.

Zorro has posed:
Fredrico is hit by the car door. He immiediatley collpased to the ground, unconcious. Meanwhile, Shannon's arial attack does what it is supposed to do and clonks the gunman on the head with the plants, knocking him out. Zorro walks up to Fredriico and Pippi and tilts his hat at Pippi as he shakes Fredrico awake. The second Fred wakes up, Zorro takes out his rapier and immediatley slashes a Z on his cheek. As Fred grips his cheek and screams in pain, Zorro stands him up and slashes another Z on the back of his suit as he states," Let that be a lesson to you! Now, do what i wanted you to do and don't let me hear about you mistreating your tenaants again. If i do, it will be your eye!" Fred nods and runs away, still clutching his bleeding cheek.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy sighs when he sees Shannon intervening. He'd argue, but he can't when he's getting shot at. Taking cover, watching, seeing if there's anything he needs to do. Vest or no, he can't risk getting shot if everything's being taken care of.

Pippi has posed:
Pippi looks at Zorro, watching with an expression of horror as the man *carves the face* of the offending man who. she really just threw a car door at to stop him from advancing on her.

She looks to McCoy next, who's taken cover.

Pippi pulls her hood a little further over her face, drawing back from the group a little, backing towads the sewer grate she'd come out of, eyeballing Henry, Shannon, and Zoro.

Nightingale has posed:
Crud. Why did Shannon have a funny feeling she was going to be in trouble again? Still, it looked as if Mr. McCoy was safe, and the fight itself seemed to be dying down. She flies a little bit higher, getting further out of range as she keeps an eye on the happenings down below.

Zorro has posed:
Zorro looks around and sees that everyhting is all cleared up. He then turns towards the gathered heroes and says and his theatrical voice," I thank you amigos. Now, im ust retrieve my motorcycle before the Police arrive." He then starts to dash down the street to where his motorcycle was.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy isn't going to be MAD at Shannon, as such, but... she's going to get a talking to, to be sure.

Pippi has posed:
Seeing Zorro take off, the wing girl staying out of things and McCoy taking his leave, Pippi decides it would be an appropriate time to disappear, and taking another step back she tumbles down the open sewer grate, having misjudged its distance, suddenly disappearing into the dark with a surprised bark.

A half moment later, the grate just sliiides back into place nice and easy-like.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon takes the hint and lands once the coast is clear, making her way out of the general area with all due haste. Her face is flaming, and she's cursing quietly under her breath, anticipating trouble when she got home. However hard anyone might be on her, she was twice as hard on herself. It was going to be a long night, so it seemed....
