Fire Meets Fire, Again
Date of Scene: 16 September 2019
Location: O'Riley's Bar
Synopsis: Johnny and Liz meet up for a talk and then they get into a bar fight. Just a regular day really.
Cast of Characters: Liz Sherman, Ghost Rider (Blaze)

Liz Sherman has posed:
It had been a few days post roasting a demon and Johnny had kept his promise about texting. Or well, keeping in touch at least. Liz had been working in the area today and towards a certain point of the day you had to take a break. She'd texted the man to see if he wanted to grab a beer and something to eat.

She's seated at the bar this time, just down around the corner to where she can see the door and make sure everything is alright. Paranoia will make you do silly things. She's less tired looking today in a pair of dark washed jeans that look like they fit her perfectly, a black t-shirt with a faded logo on it and her jacket settled on the back of the stool.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny was currently on the open road, though he was refueling the tank of his motorcycle when he got the text from Liz. Responding positively to her, Johnny mounted back up and drove in the opposite direction that he was originally headed. Why? Because Liz was quite literally hot (as in, she might blow up at any moment) and its probably a good idea to have someone fireproof to keep her from burning the place to the ground.

Also, Johnny thoroughly enjoyed her company.

So, After a few moments, Johnny walks through the doors of the bar, walking towards where Liz sat. He puts a hand on her shoulder and he smirks. "Hey Liz, how's it going?"

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz was watching the door and there's a bit of a smile when Johnny comes through the door, she realizes that she probably looks odd smiling and tries to tone it down. The bartender gives a look from her to the door and there's a chuckle. Women. When he makes his way over there's a look to the hand he places on her shoulder and then to him, "Heya Johnny. I wasn't interrupting anything important, was I?" she asks him.

Then she pats the seat next to her, "Figure if I set anything on fire you'll be fine." she jokes quietly. It was odd having someone she didn't have to worry about killing in a horrible way this close, but he didn't know that.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny notices her smile and smiles back at her. Maybe telling her that he's comfortable with whatever she has going on in that pyromaniac head of hers? Either way, he takes a seat beside her, almost shoulder to shoulder, and he turns to look ath er directly. "Course not. I was just riding my motorcycle. If you caught me at work, well...I'd have to raincheck you in a very complimentary way."

"Yeah, chances are I'll be fine. You've met me in my off hours, so...you know." he winks at her. "So, what will you be having?" He looks at the bartender. "Whiskey for me, please."

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz gives a look to him and there's a little nod of her head, "Can't meet right now, vanquishing demons." she teases him softly when the bartender isn't in ear shot. She didn't want to get the whole weirdo look package today. "Thank you for coming over though. It's hard to find people that...well..." she plays with the cigarette she's been holding, "It's hard to make friends or anything else for that matter. So it's appreciated." she tells him.

Then she gives a bit of a grin, "Yeah, you should do fine." she nods. "I don't mind the off hours look." she states as she looks from him to the bartender. Once he's ordered his whiskey she gives a nod for the same, "Seems like a good thing to order. You hungry?" she asks him.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny smirks at her just a little bit as he pulls out his own cigarette pack, lighting it with an actual lighter (so as to not get the weirdo look from patrons at the bar today) and he exhales some smoke, looking at Liz. "Anytime Liz. You know I actually enjoy your company, right?" He gives her shoulder a gentle nudge, playful in its delivery.

"You'd be one of the very few, well...the only, really, who thinks that." He smiles warmly at her, and she might find his hand maybe inching towards hers. "I don't much mind your off-hours look either. As for food...well, I'm starving."

Then a big burly guy, looking like all he eats is cheeseburgers and beer, walks up past the two as he leaves the bar and he looks at Liz. "Heh, I'd tap that." In that classic rude fashion that just identifies him as a scumbag. Johnny, being the chivalrous fellow that he is, looks at him. "WHat'd you say?"

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz gives a look to Johnny as he pulls out his cigarette pack and there's a look around, "Huh, didn't know we could smoke in here." she admits to that. She settles her own pack out, but doesn't light the one she has out yet. Then there's a look back to him, "You just met me, I'm sure there's going to be something I do to piss you off or make you go...she's bat shit crazy." she points out a bit teasingly.

Then she sobers a touch as she watches him, "People have a problem with you turning into a flaming skeleton? How dare they." she tells him. "I mean...you at least can control it. I tend to take out whole city blocks if I get upset." she sighs. There's a twitch of her fingers when his hand moves closer and she lets her own fingers wander. "Well, order some food. I'm buying as it is." she tells him.

Then some asshat has to ruin the moment, "Buddy, I highly doubt you could handle the heat." she states dryly.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Liz will feel Johnny's pinkie and ring finger perhaps entangle with hers, clearly inclined to actually hold her hand as they seem to connect in a way that wasn't attempted before hand. In a way, it made sense. Both of them were demons in human clothing, but that didn't seem to bother Johnny none. "Liz, if you've seen the things I've seen...those words will probably never come out of my mouth." Johnny apparently with the smooth talking.

As for her radius of effect, Johnny smirks softly. "I can do that too, but only if I decide to take the back seat. Besides, you couldn't hurt me..and I really hope I couldn't hurt you." Johnny says softly to her. But she's buying! "Fine, but we share." he tries to cut a deal.

Now, back to this asshat who's ruining the romantic moment. He turns and he looks at Liz. "Oh, I'm sure you just couldn't handle my chunky love."

Johnny winces, looking at Liz as he mouths 'chunky love?' in a what in the actual fuck kind of way. But he smiles. "I'll be right back...kiss for good luck?" He jokes with her, before he gets up to look at this guy. "I think you should apologize to the lady." The man seems to get right up in Johnny's face. He's in for a rude awakening.

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz looks to the twined fingers for a moment and she forgets that they're being verbly accosted by some burly guy for the moment. When was the last time she touched someone else? A long time. She shakes herself and looks to Johnny as he speaks smoothly and she smiles to him. A genuine one.

"I think we'll have to test the 'can you hurt me' theory at another time. Maybe I don't get burned by hellfire." she murmurs to him. "Sharing is caring, so I'm good with that where my food is concerned." she grins to him.

Then the guy is talking about chunky love and she wrinkles her nose, "I think I threw up in my mouth a little." she admits. "It's not about the chunk. It's about the approach. I know a guy bigger than you that has no problem talking to ladies." she points out. And he was redder.

Liz was about to lean over and kiss Johnny's cheek, but, he's already up and moving, "Johnny..." she starts as she slides off the seat.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny smiles at Liz when he caught her out of the corner of his eye trying to lean in and give him a smooch on the cheek. So when she stands up to be near him, he reaches behind him, taking her hand properly. "Yeah, at least Red wasn't a creep about it though. This guy looks like he spends his days in his momma's basement asking himself where the sausage pizza is." And yes, this makes the big guy howl in anger and try to punch Johnny right across the face.

His hand literally crumples against Johnny's handsome mug.

"AWWW! What the fuck!?" The fat man literally sings in pain as he falls to his knees, holding his deformed hand. "Ouch. That has to hurt pal." Now that he seems to have defended Liz's honor, he doesn't notice the other fellas who seem to be part of the same group starting to get out of their seats, his attention fully on Liz as he leans in to kiss her cheek. "Now, what were you saying?"

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz twines her fingers with Johnny's when he reaches back to take her hand, forgetting for the moment that she could blow this place up if she was upset. Or she could make a concentrated effort to not burn the place to ash. When the big guy goes to hit Johnny she winces, then she hears the guy shouting in pain she looks between them. "Huh." she chuckles.

When he kisses her cheek there's a bit of a blush to that and there's a look to his eyes, but she catches the incoming of the guys friends, she leans in to give Johnny a quick peck on the lips before nodding her head towards the back of the bar, "We're going to have a few more dance partners." she states as she squeezes his hand.

"Hey guys, why don't you take your friend and go. No one else needs to get hurt." she states.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny smiles as she seems to accept the kiss to her cheek. But imagine his surprise when she just goes full throttle, leaning in fully to give him a quick kiss on the lips. Johnny widens his eyes for a minute, before he seems to just melt as he looks at her, his hand still well in hers, seems they are now quite firmly a pair.

He squeezes her hand back in return.

The gentleman seem to be completely unfazed by them. "Shut it, freak! Lets get 'em boys!"

Johnny smirks at Liz. "You seem to have quite the way with words." Johnny says to her with a grin before he lunges forward and kicks a man straight through the front door, while another hits him over the head with a bottle, though it admittedly doesn't seem to do much. Bar brawl!

Liz Sherman has posed:
If Liz was going to get her ass handed to her in a barfight, she was totally kissing the guy first. She gives a bit of a smile to him when he seems to melt after that. Hey, could have been worse. She doesn't say anything for the moment. Though she was hoping her words wouldn't fall on deaf ears.

But boy, deaf is going around today.

"Aw fuck." she mutters as she looks to Johnny and there's a laugh, "Yeah. I seem to know how to piss people off /MORE/." she muses. Then she's going for the one that isn't currently trying to bash the bikers head in. She is much smaller than the biker, but she kicks him in the shin, causing him to crumple forward and she punches him in the face.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
"I mean, I love your voice, I really do." Johnny proceeds to literally grab a man by the throat and toss him right on the bar with back-breaking force. "But these guys just don't like a pretty face, clearly." Johnny continues to flirt with her, and whats even funnier? He hasn't let go of her hand. This is like...the weirdest love story ever.

She kicks a dude in the shin and he clearly goes down at her continued attention. "So, what should we do after this?" The question is asked in a straightforward manner. But then again, they seemed to have no problem pairing up.

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz shakes the hand that she'd just used to punch the guy into the floor with, "Your head is thick, I can see why you don't listen well." she mutters to him. Then she's hearing Johnny and there's a shake of her head, "You're going to make me blush until flames show up." she tells him with a chuckle as he keeps on flirting. She didn't mind. And she doesn't try to take her hand back.

The dude tries to get back up and she plants her booted foot on his chest, "Stay down. You won't like me upset." she tells him as she looks down to him. Then she looks over her shoulder to Johnny, "I don't know, could go for a ride, walk in the park, whatever you feel like." she smiles to that.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny looks at Liz as she takes out the second to last guy. The other guy decides its much better to run and sure enough? The guys stay the hell down and Johnny takes a breath, looking at Liz. "Looks like they couldn't handle your heat after all." He smirks. "Want to know who can?"

He awits for her to answer before he'll try tugging her close to give her a -proper- kiss. Lips parted and everything. Here's hoping she doesn't burn the entire place down from the shock.

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz gives a sigh of relief when the man stays down and there's a look back to Johnny as she relaxes. "Oh?" she asks as she watches him with a little quirk of an ebon brow. Then he's tugging her close and there's no resistance from the woman.

The kiss is definitely a shock, but she fights down the initial shock and kisses him back, her hands slipping to his shoulders as she parts her own lips for him. The temperature most assuredly goes up a bit, but there's no explosions.

Not yet.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny mmms against her lips, especially when she starts kissing him right back. His arms wrap around her waist to hold her even closer to him. Of course, he doesn't care that they are surrounded by unconscious people and some patrons actually groaning from the PDA on the display right here.

"Thanks for not blowing me up." He says when they decide to breathe, his nose and forehad touching hers, but sinceh e doesn't want to suffocate her, he gives her lips a bit of a break. "I think...anything with you would be exciting." They have a lot of energy.

Do they want to burn it off?

Liz Sherman has posed:
Liz sort of realizes that there are groans from the injured and then the groans from the PDA. She really doesn't care if there's the shout of get a room. Because she's not been kissed in a really long time and they can jump off a cliff.

She lets her hands slide down to rest on his chest, "You're welcome. Can't always tell when I'm going to blow up on people, hopefully it doesn't happen in the future with you." she tells him. "Lets get out of here and we can go from there. I'd invite you to my place...but it's just a fireproof room." she chuckles. "Come on." she smiles to him as she pats his chest. She lets one of her hands find some money in her wallet and she slides a fifty to the bartender. At least they didn't break any furniture or anything.

Ghost Rider (Blaze) has posed:
Johnny wraps his hands on her waist as they saunter off. "I think my place will work just fine. Its....mostly fireproof. Mainly the bedding." He chuckles and starts leading her to his motorcycle.

The bartender peeks out of his hiding spot after the lovebirds leave, apparently quite happy that they decided to take their leave.

"Besides, we arn't in any hurry." Of course, she knows how to ride the motorcycle with him now, and she knows exactly where he thinks her hands should be.
