Synopsis: Kitty meets Peter's neighbors at the quaint little Queens apartment.
Cast of Characters: Shadowcat, Spider-Man

Shadowcat has posed:
There is the sound of a knock on the door. Someone is expected. After Peter asked Kitty to move in here with him, she began gathering up some of her things she kept in her room at school, boxing them up.

Today is the day she's making the drive down to bring them. If Peter has a peephole he looks through, he'll find his girlfriend, wearing a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt which boasts a recent Chicago Cubs World Series win. Her hair is back in a pony-tail, and there is a small stack of boxes there in the hallway with her.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter initially thinks he's dreaming when he sees the Chicago Cubs world Series win shirt.

The door pulls open, the blue METS cap she'd gotten him for his birthday is worn backwards on his brown hair, t-shirt, and sweat-pants and holds out his hands to take the box with a big grin on his face. "I thought you were going to text me when you started moving boxes?"

He leans in towards her and kisses her cheek, spinning the box, regardless of its weight, on the tip of his finger as he twist on a heel to lay it down on the bed just inside the door. He smells like he's recently had a shower, which means he's only recently returned home from Spider-Manning.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty passes Peter the first box, her face lighting up seeing him at the door. "I figured you'd have to come all the way to the school, and it would just be a waste of a morning. Besides I didn't have all that much. Man I sure miss Narnia though," she says with a sigh. Instantaneous transport to the Village was awful nice.

Kitty picks up the second of the three boxes she brought, carrying it inside and over to the closet. She opens it and pulls a few items of clothing out to hang up in the closet there.

The final box is sitting in the hallway, from where a female voice can be heard a few moments later. "Oh Peter! Did you get a delivery?" a familiar female voice calls. Candi Muggins, red-haired niece of the elderly couple who own the building, picks up the box and moves over to the doorway, able to see Peter, but not Kitty. "Do I get tipped if I bring it in?" she asks flirtatiously.

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete slaps his hand down playfully against Kitty's backside as she passes him, bottom lip pulled up between his teeth, "It's never a wasted morning if you're there, babe." Twisting around the door to slink out into the hallway, nearly colliding with Candi in the process. Had it not been for his spidey senses and a quick shift around he would have, but it does bring him entirely too close to her for his own liking.

"Whoa, hey, Candi." Quick stepping backwards with a hand pushing off the wall. "No..." Eyeing the box, leaning down to pull it towards him with a finger curled inside the lid, "Girlfriend is moving in... You want to meet her?"

His head cranes around the doorframe, "Hey, babe, come'ere, huh? I want you to meet Mr. Muggins neice." The box tips with a curl of his finger and he squats down to pick it up with both arms as if he needs to. Which he does not!

Shadowcat has posed:
"Oooooo, you have a girlfriend? You never told us that!" Candi announces loudly, the bombastic young woman relinquishing the box to Peter readily enough. "Of course I want to meet her," Candi Muggins replies, trying to move around Peter to head into the apartment.

Kitty straightens from where she was down on a knee going through the box, her head, and an eyebrow going up as she hears the voice. Kitty hangs up the blouse she had in hand as she rises and then turns towards the door.

She walks over, a good-natured expression on her face. "Oh, really nice to meet you," Kitty says in a friendly enough tone as she joins Peter and Candi by the door. Kitty slides her hand up over Peter's shoulders, fingers hooking near his shoulders and neck on the far side. "Are you here helping your uncle out?" Kitty asks.

Candi waves a hand at the question. "Oh no, I live across the hall. Me and Randi and Bambi," the red-head says. Kitty gives a slow nod and says, "Well, really great to meet you then." Kitty rests her head against Peter's shoulder as Candi looks at Kitty and then Peter. "Ok, well I should get back to it. But we should have drinks up on the roof later!" she says.

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter doesn't even look awkward! This is definitely a situation that could have gotten awkward and Peter, who is the most awkward human on earth, is just grinning with the box held under his right arm when Kitty slides her hand along his shoulder while meeting the neighbors. "Hey, you know that's not a bad idea?" To Candi's mention of drinks on the roof, "We should have a house warming party..."

Again leaning in to kiss Kitty's cheek, he immediately ducks down beneath the pair of ladies to take the box inside to stack up near the other on the mattress not far behind the open door. "Seeya later, Candi. Thanks for your help, by the way." Not that she managed to do much, but he's always appreciative.

Now standing, looking around the studio with his arms crossed, "Maybe not so much with the house warming though... Probably couldn't get more than five or six people in here before we're shoulder to shoulder."

Shadowcat has posed:
Always appreciative. Kitty eyes the 'attributes' of the girl across the hall, shown off by her tank top and tiny shorts. "Yes, that sounds like a great idea," Kitty agrees towards Peter. "Nice to meet you Candi," she says, before stepping back into the room and swinging the door shut.

Kitty walks over to Peter and asks, "So is she the only one after you, or the roommates too?" Kitty runs her hand back over Peter's shoulders, and there's definitely a bit of a possessive tone to the touch before she leans up to press a bruising kiss to his lips. As if just to make sure to push any thoughts of Candi and perky... perkiness... out of his head.

She lets the kiss soften before finally ending. "I think we could find a few ways to celebrate, at the least," Kitty says as she looks around the apartment with a grin back to Peter.

Spider-Man has posed:
Pete glances back at Kitty as she slides up behind him and smirks at the question, "Why, Ms. Kitty... are you jelly?" Turning against the hands, bringing his own up to hook his hands against her wrists where they now sit on his chest, meeting the kiss just as effortlessly, "Don't you dare worry, those three have been trying to get into this apartment for years... the closest any of them got was peeking their head in."

The assurances probably don't do much to aleviate any concerns.

"Besides, look at you?" Bringing her hands up to give her a little spin, eyeing her assets with a bemused, appreciative, grin, "Why would I go buy oscer myers when I've got boars-head right here?" Thinking on that... he frowns a little and shakes his head, "Okay, I'll admit that comparing you to fresh cold cuts probably wasn't my most romantic moment, but I think we can both appreciate that my heart is in the right place, huh?"

Perking a brow, eyes bouncing up from her sweater clad legs and... perkiness (to coin a phrase) when she mentions celebration. His tone becomes conspiratory, his grin becomes a little heated, "You have my attention..."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty moves her hand into Peter's, spinning graceful as the dancer she is when he turns her about. His choice in analogies causes Kitty to face-palm though and laugh. She shakes her head and says, "As long as you're not wanting to smother either of us in dijon-" she starts to say, then pauses as if considering for a moment thoughtfully, before going with her initial thought, "... though maybe we could find some other condiment. For me, that is. Ok, I'm really not much better at this, am I?" she asks.

Kitty grins and slides both warms about Peter's shoulder to lean up and kiss him again more deeply. When the kiss ends, she says, "So, anything I should know about the apartment? Besides the trio of women trying to get into it, that is?" she asks, turning to look about the place.

Spider-Man has posed:
The dancer spin does not help with his oogling, but he's a good Peter and steps up to wraps her in a loose grip around her waist to hold her against his chest. He doesn't tower over her, but does look down with a little grin, "Dijon is a little tangy for my tastes and mayonaise is all calories.. but I wont judge you for your condiment choices. We're respect all sandwich spreads in this household."

Shifting down into the kiss, ending with another light peck of her top lip, he then glances around the studio with an inspective eye. "Well.. the window tends to stick in the winter and the radiator isn't Gods gift when it starts to get cold, but I'm pretty sure I can keep you warm." That is not at all what she meant, "As far as I know there's no marginally attractive neighbors trying to weasel their way in, though..."

Letting loose of her so she can look around, he reaches up to turn the hat back around forwards and adjust it up, then down, upon his head. "It's geeky, so it's probably a good thing you're into that too... but I... I want you to make it feel like you live here... Oh!" He perks up and brushes past with a hand dragging across her hip, "I got you something! Well.. kind of." Glancing back conspiratorially as he slides down onto the bed to reach behind the single, old, nightstand beside the stacked mattresses. He pulls out a box from beneath, "Technically it's for Lockheed. I mean, I assumed he's coming too, right?" Pushing the box towards Kitty with one of his bare feet.

Shadowcat has posed:
The condiment talk gets a warm smile from Kitty. She moves over to take a seat on the bed, expression curious as Peter goes over to retrieve the box he had stashed. "Oooo, and I didn't get you anything. Except a new roommate," Kitty tells Peter.

She sits up a bit and nods. "I figured I'd kind of clear things first before I brought him. While we can keep people from knowing there's an extra-terrestrial dragon living here... might be harder to keep them from thinking there's a cat," she says of his Image Inducer's hologram for passing him off in public.

She takes the box, picking it up to open it up and see what is inside.

Spider-Man has posed:
"Ah, see..." Pete pulls his face tight into a mock frown, shaking his head after Kitty takes the box from him. His hands settle upon the side of the mattress, rubbing along the fitted sheet as she peeks inside, "That's not going to work for me... I'm allergic to extra-terrestrial cats..." His hands come up in a little shrug, lips quirking into a sardonic slant.

Inside the box is a brand new purple mattress like the one he has in Kitty's room, but with Lockheed stenciled in gold thread along the front. "It's not much, I just want you both to feel like this is y'alls place too... and he's kind of the reason I made a move, ya know?" Pete glances around as if considering something.

"Which probably isn't even a joke, I'm pretty sure he was using mind control... that dragon is lowkey kind of a terrorist, you realize that?" That part, at least, is definitely a joke. Pete leans over to kiss her temple. "I love you."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty is all smiles at the purple bedding for the dragon. "I'm sure he'll love it," Kitty says before turning her attention back to Peter Parker. She breaks out in a soft laughter and says, "He probably runs the entire school, and no one including the Professor realizes it," she tells him.

When Peter leans over to kiss her temple, Kitty tries to pull him down onto the bed with her. If successful she slides over to lie partially atop him with her head on his shoulder. "I love you too," she tells him quietly. She smiles as she looks around the apartment. "And I love this place. I think it'll be perfect for us," she tells him. "It has a really nice feel to it. Kind of reminds me a little of my place at Oxford," she tells him.

Kitty glances around and says, "So, I'm going to have to bring in a bunch of computers. Of course. Can try to keep from overdoing it." She gives a little blush there. Of course she'll overdo it. He's likely to have a desk with 8 monitors on it by the end of the week. "But, you tell me if something is too much? I know you want me to feel welcome, but you shouldn't feel like your life is upended either. So, you can push back, ok?"

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter will never protest being pulled down on the bed with Kitty or being subject to the torturous state of having her half laying atop him! His hand slides along her arm as it drapes across his chest, not bothering to glance up when he's got the best view of the apartment resting against his shoulder! Sweet to his core, this one! "Yeah, I would not be at all surprised if he does." Said as he fingers trail along her bares shoulder, then down the back of her arm to her elbow. An absent touch as he stares up at the ceiling.

"It feels a lot better now, that much I know." He doesn't even mind being here.. he even cleaned up, at least, he started cleaning up before going out swinging and looking for something crimey to stop. He's easily distracted... "I'm glad you're moving in. I know we basically spent every night with each other anyways, but there's something really great about knowing that when I say I'm going home, that means I'm going to you."

As for her computers... all eight of them.. his brows curl upwards and he side eyes her without turning his head, "Eight computers, huh? Alright, but you're going to make FrankinComp jelly.." The gutted old computer that Peter basically built himself that sits over on the computer desk. "Might be time to retire him anyways, though. He had a good run.."

His head slides closer to her's, "I'll get you a bigger computer desk with one of those comfy reclining chairs for gaming, that I will totally not use to play Madden 2K28." He definitely will though.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde rolls over just a bit more on her side to look over at Peter's scrounged and constructed computer. "Oh no. He has to stay. We have the technology, Peter. We can make him bigger. Stronger. Faster than before," she says.

And then she starts making the 6 Million Dollar Man sound effects for a few seconds, before clearing her throat. "We can fix up that stuttery, clicking noise too," she says with a goofy-faced grin.

Kitty grins and says, "We'll need to be able to have dual setups for MMORPGs of course. Though I don't find as much time for that as I used to." She gives a sigh. "Growing up sucks, Christopher Robbins," she says dramatically. "Though at least I don't lose Lockheed the way he loses Pooh."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter glances over at FrankinComp, sighing dramatically, playfully dramatically sigh. It's not until the 6 million dollar man noise that he drops back down onto the mattress and laughs, "We're a Steve McQueen household, here." Poking at Kitty's side with a finger and pulling her closer with a heady grin.

"Eh, it's not so bad... growing up I mean." Hand sliding along her arm, cheek pressing lightly against her forehead, "Finding the perfect girl, maybe getting married someday.. having a couple kids and giving up all the things you love to raise ungrateful terrors that probably end up being able to both climb on walls, lift several dozen times their own body weight, and phase through walls to get out of punishment?"

He sighs ever so dramatically, "The American Dream."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty lets out a warm, soft laugh at the description of the children. "Oh that would be tough to explain at daycare," she says, shaking her head. "So do you think yours is something that can be passed on?" she asks Peter thoughtfully.

"The mutant gene, my children might or might not end up with it. And could end up totally different than me even if they do get it. You could get... green with gills. Or feathered head plume. Rocky lizard," Kitty says. "I know you teach at the school and are used to being around the kids, but... are you sure that's something you'd be ok taking on with your own children?" she asks him, biting her lip a little bit as this is something they've never really discussed at all before. She stays lying close against him though, her body resting half atop his own.

Spider-Man has posed:
The comical porition of the conversation passes and Kitty asks the tough questions. Peter is quiet for a bit, probably considering it, but always rubbing her arm as he does so. Taking in the realities of their relationship... his mind works a lot different to most. It never stops, it's always calculating and figuring, talking to him whether he pays attention or not.

"I have this theory." He finally says into the drawn out silence, "See, I started out as just a kid in Queens and I got bit by a spider that turned me into this by altering the composition of my DNA strands... where as you were born exactly the way you are.. All of the students at the school were.. which is not at all the classification of a mutation, right? That's just evolution because it's the natural state, not an altered one."

He tilts his head to kind of cantiwompus look at her, "So I guess the question is, what if my abilities do transfer? How are you going to feel knowing you gave birth to a half spider child?" His face scrunches up... "Now I'm thinking about your... you know... as Shelob's lair.." It's all very jokey, of course.

"Babe, listen.. I fully intend to spend the rest of my life with you. I don't have a ring on me and I'm not planning to get on my knee yet, but one day I am going to marry you... and if we do have children, after discussing it, like responsible adults making life decisions together, we do have children? I'm going to love them. They'll be ours and Woe unto anyone who doesn't like the endless stream of friendbook photos we put up."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's smile spreads slowly as she listens to Peter's response. At the end she looks down, the smile beaming, then back up to him again. "Good answer," she tells him. She leans closer to him. "I feel the same," she tells him before resting her fingers along his cheek to touch him as she presses a sweet, lingering kiss to his lips.

The rest of the afternoon is spent lazing about the apartment together. Laughing. Joking. Smiling. Arguing over whether her Cubs poster should go overtop of his Mets plaque.

The kind of thing that couples do together.
