Synopsis: The two club owners share a few drinks and talk shop...
Cast of Characters: Cannonball, Thomas Raith

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie has heard some rumors about one of the people who sings here being a mutant, and decided to come check the place out. He is dressed in a dark dress shirt, and dress pants. He is shown in after a bit of scruitney of his ID.

Thomas Raith has posed:
The place is... well it's not packed, but it's /far/ from empty. The bouncer out front, a Hispanic man not much older then Sam himself but wearing a pair of tomahawks at his belt hands the young mutant back his ID and lets him in. On stage is a lovely woman with rich mocha skin crooning about love lost in the big city. A perky waitress named Didi according to her name tag smiles at him. "You looking for a table?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks around the room, and says "Sure, am alone though so small one out of the way works, don't want to take up prime real estate." He offers her a smile.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Didi gives him a heart hammering smile nd nods. "Sure thing, just over here." She offers and leads him to a table that is a little further from the stage, but close enough to enjoy the show. After taking his order she'd leave him alone to enjoy the music. After two more songs the singer announces her break and leaves the stage. "She's pretty amazing isn't she?" comes a voice from the next table over.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and seems friendly and a good at her job. Always a good thing for working in a club." He sounds a bit as if he maybe looking at the place through a professional view right now.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods a bit, "Voice of an angel, body built for sin. In this line of work that is pretty much a recipe for success." He says with a smile and offers his hand to the other man. "I'm Thomas Raith, I own the Blue Lady... so as her boss it's good to hear the kudos.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will shake the offered hand and says "Sam Guthrie, Ah run Club Evolution over in Bushwick. Herd some good things about few of the singers here, thought Ah would come check it out. Not trying to steal your talent, but maybe offer them some work on their days off.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith ahhs and nods. "Well Sasha is my headliner." He says and gestures to towards the now vacant stage, "And she has a no-Compete clause in her contract. Most of my other live talent tends to be the waitresses, I let them sing if they want to give it a try and get a bit of exposure. I've heard about Club Evo. It's the mutant club correct?" there is no undertone to the question, simply honest curiousity.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to that and says "Yea, we do multiple music nights for live talent, get a few scouts show up now and again. Will be honest, heard might be a mutant or two sing here on occasion, and thought I would tell them they were welcome to come over some time, if nothing else open mic nights to maybe get a bit more noticed.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith lets just the smallest bit of a smile come to his lips, "Well I'm fairly sure none of them are /mutants/. He says with the emphisis implying that they may be something else other then human as well. "At least if they are they haven't come to me with the information, and they know that I wouldn't hold it agienst them." He shrugs as the waitress brings back Sam's order as well as a crystal decanter full of Amber liquid thT she sets in front of Thomas.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie ordered a bourbon decent brand. He hmms and nods his head a bit to this. "We are ok with others playing there as well. Ah am more interested in good music than what a person is to be honest. So you owned this place long?

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly, "About two years now." He says casually, filling his glass from the decanter and sipping it. There is something unspoken between Thomas and Didi, Thomas Shakes his head, Didi pouts and walks away. "I sold my sisters my share in the family business to buy it. We should actully end this quarter in the black for the first time.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head, and says "Congratz on that. I started running the club a few months back, and we are doing pretty good. Had an issue with some gangs, but that has been handled now at least.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly and with obvious sympathy. "I had a little trouble with gangs when I first opened. You would have met Axe on your way in? He's a former gang banger himself. The reason he carries the tomahawks is that a felon can't posess a gun in this state." He shrugs slightly. "You just have to keep it up. A wise man once told me that you can't win the game unless you'd rather die then lose it. It's your place. If you are willing to do anything to keep it, they won't be able to take it from you."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Yea, he reminded me a bit of a guy Ah had trouble with when Ah was younger, when Ah first saw him to be honest, but he would be a decent amount older."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith chuckles. "Well Axe had a baby. She was born literally two days after her got out of doing a 6 month hit in jai. Aparently something about holding that little girl in his arms turned his life around. And when he came looking for a job... well hell I've needed a second chance before.
