Thor's Wild Catchup Ride!
Date of Scene: 25 September 2019
Location: This is the Land of Asgard To
Synopsis: Loki puts on the finishing touches to Asgard, Thor ... is Thor.
Cast of Characters: Loki, Thor

Loki has posed:
"Thor," Loki's voice is saying firmly. There's also a nudge.

"Thor," Loki repeats, this time with a blast of horribly icy water, a lash of quick magic in an attempt to (rudely?) awaken his brother.

The palace room is clean, the light very warm from the sunbeams cast onto the floor through the huge windows. It is as if the Palace materialized around them out of a dream, made into reality: a palace lost when Asgard fell. Yet here they are in it.

It could well be illusion: except that it isn't. The power of Asgard, though a weak heartbeat recently restarted, is in the soil and the very air around them. "You're missing the show," Loki comments dryly.

Thor has posed:
Thor jolts hard and lifts his whole body off the ground where he had decided was a decent enough place for a king to take an 'afternoon' nap. Or he agrees Volstagg would have said that was the perfect spot.

With a slow grumble to no one as Thor's body is forced to react to the sudden friged magic that washed across his form, chilling him to the bone and yet he's as dry as one. His one remaining eye snapped open and then was aimed directly at Loki as he finds his way back to his feet. "Do not do that brother, Asgard is not yet reborn and so her king is not yet needed, wake me when there is something to-" Thor pauses as he looks up and around, watching as Loki does his work.

    Okay, that's cool.

Loki has posed:
"So grumpy, when there's so much to be happy about," Loki says, immediately adjusting to cast a different spell: warming air, to force-dry the ice-water experience. It's intentionally disorienting, directly after the dramatic wakeup.

But Loki isn't being unpleasant: he must need something.

Loki does gesture around them. "Does the room suit your memory?" questions the mage. A smirk follows: he believes he did well.

"I was /busy/ with the city's restoration, but I had some time to work on the palace. There's more to do, but we could make the announcement," Loki says, standing over his brother. Loki's been looking forward to the announcement. Big time. His big victory, and all the accolades. Yes, Loki wants to announce it.

"Start to pack up 'New' Asgard. It's not the same here, so /empty/." Needs the servants.

Thor has posed:
"The room is fine Loki." Thor says as his hair billows in the warm air and the god of thunder pauses as he has to fight the chill running up his spine. "Brother, cease your trickery." The king commands as he steps forwards and lifts his eye to the room and tries to recall the way father had had it crafted and recall the decorations mother requested in it.

"It will do." Thor says after a pause to gather his memories.

Then Thor turns his head and smirks to Loki, and lifts a heavy tree limb of an arm and drops the hand onto Loki's shoulder. "I will inform the people, we can return home." No, no word of Loki's possible accolades and rewards he so obviosuly deserves to have showered upon him. Nor the statue of his likeness, with the pointy horned helmet. No words of thank you, at all. None.

Loki has posed:
Loki winces as the hand falls on his shoulder. He's still burned heavily from the magic use, but pride and will is a strong thing. He turns very pale (even compared to usually), but holds up under the pat.

"Erm. Yes. I was thinking a great meeting, a feast, to celebrate our people," Loki suggests, silver tongue coming into play to attempt to manage his brother towards what Loki would like. A party would mean accolades and stories grandly presented.

Thor has posed:
"Brother! What would I do without you?" Thor asks of his younger adopted brother. The New King smiles towards Loki and pulls his hand back and moves to hold it behind his back and yet, finds that stance odd. Not one he could favor. Not at this point.

Loki has posed:
"Sit in New Asgard with a non-Asgardian ale in complete boredom, I suppose," Loki suggests evenly, with a sleek little smile. He moves the topic, though, evasively. "Brynnhilde and Lady Sif have been active in assistance, by the way. Doing whatever they can to make this happen, following orders very well." Loki gives a regal smile, and moves away a small distance, towards the windows, to look downwards and out, then slants his gaze back to his brother.
"Hela, as well, in her way. Perhaps after the announcement, we can speak with Hela -- about something else missing here: a return of Odin. But that may require.... A great deal from you, brother, to make reality." Loki just lets that hang there, without even an impish look: just deadpan.

Thor has posed:
"Can you not pause with the schemes and plots, not even for a simple hour?" Thor asks, turning his head fully to address Loki as he steps up to lean against the window sill and look out to the newly restored Asgard.

"You've done a great thing, take some time to enjoy it and revel in the fact that you did something for your people." Thor notes as if that was enough of a reward for Loki. He knows it's not but he doesn't admit it outloud. Not yet.

Thor pats Loki's back between his shoulder blades this time and pushes away from the window. "I must go and inform the people, and gather a ship. The bifrost has yet to be restored, correct?"

Loki has posed:
"Just looking towards a brighter future," Loki replies to the request that he stop plotting pleasant things for their people for a time. He does actually seem to be taking in the same Asgard that Thor is, though, as the king looks out and over the city. A lot of work there. Loki looks exhausted for a brief window of time: just devastated by all of the effort. It wasn't minor.

"Yes, I shall do some revelry," Loki says, with a sigh. "Correct, but I can open gateways. Not constantly, I do have limits."
