Synopsis: Morrigan can finally get back into Sanctum Santorum and she meets Hogarth. Plus Alice towards the end!
Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, Hogarth Hart, Black Alice

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Sanctum was recovered from Loki, and whatever nefarious things he was doing with it. But, Morrigan doesn't know why people kept getting turned back around when they tried to enter the building. So it's with a determined look on her face that the redhead tries the entrance at Sanctum tonight and is surprised that she's not automatically dumped back outside.

The violet eyed woman stands there for a moment, looking around at the inside to see if anything is amiss, or to see if she can catch anyone around. She's found it pretty quiet the last few times she's been here. Her boots make soft padding sounds as she steps further in.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
Hogarth had been not just working with Wong and Doctor Strange in fixing the Sanctum post bout with Loki, but also was working on helping the leylines on top of which the Sanctum stood, and of course, working on his path to achieve the rank of Master.

Robes of blue and orange are what he wore currently, along with the boots he was rarely without. Their old soles click softly as he walks from one room to the next, eating an apple and reading an old book. "I hate Sanskrit." He comments softly as he is slightly frustrated. It was not until he was crossing the main hall that he realized there was someone there that wasn't usually. "Uh, hi?" He says, not on the attack, or the defensive. He was just new to the halls of the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a bit of a look around and then she spots someone dressed somewhat like Strange. This is curious. She gives a smile and a little finger wave, "Hello. I see the door got fixed. I've been getting dumped back out onto the sidewalk for the last month and change." the Irish woman tells him. She's dressed in jeans, black sweater and she's not carrying anything. She looks far more pale than normally would be healthy for people.

"Is...it alright if people are in here again?" she asks as she makes sure not to go any farther for the moment. Just in case!

Hogarth Hart has posed:
Hogarth closes the book and starts walking towards Morrigan. "Oh, yes. Loki is not here anymore. The Doctor..." A brief moment to think real quick. "I'm not sure where he is right now. It's been nuts trying to get this place sorted back."

He tucks the leather bound book under his arm and reaches out his right hand. "I'm Hogarth Hart." He says with a little smile, his front tooth had a small chip in it, and was much younger than the Doctor. "It's safe, unless you touch the more aggressive artifacts."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan doesn't take any steps back when he starts approaching, even if she did get mugged recently, she figured anyone in here was safe to be around. "I'm sure I'll run into Strange at another time. I just wanted to come over and check on things." she admits.

She takes the offered hand and gives him a firm shake, "It's nice to meet you, Hogarth. I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre, but I doubt my medical degree means much in here." she chuckles. "And no...not planning on messing with any of the artifacts." she adds. "Do you need help with sorting. Though I'd need to know where some things go." she smiles to that.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
"I wouldn't really be the best to ask about that. Wong or the Doctor would be better." He comments, taking another small bite and eats it.

"Doctor MacIntyre, of course your degree means quite a lot. I'm no doctor." The young sorcerer takes the book from his arm and with a quick raise of it, it is sent back to his room. "Is there anything I can help you with?" He asks, genuinely, it seems like there was a lot of people coming in and checking up on the place.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to the man, "I'll see about getting with Doctor Strange then, or Wong if I can't find the other." the redhead nods to that.

"Oh I was just needing to get back to practicing. I live across the way and it's been weird not being able to get in. I tried a few times to see if I could find someone, but had little luck." she frowns. The book disappearing makes her eyes go wide for a moment, then she shakes her head, "Unless you like teaching Novices? I'm not sure." she chuckles. "Are you one of Strange's students?" she asks him.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
Hogarth runs a hand through his chestnut hair. "Oh yeah, they told me the door was jinxed to be a portal back out to the street." He chuckles a moment before commenting further. "I've taught some novices before, in a pinch. I'm studying for the Master rank in our Order. What were you working on?"

The comment on a student makes Hogarth smile a little. "Doctor Strange is like...a headmaster. He doesn't really teach, he directs the rest of the teachers. And even then the teachers barely teach you, more like keep you on the right path while you discover what you're learning. It's...weird. But it works, like a whole independent study degree."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Yeah, it was. And it was very annoying to one who doesn't like being tossed out." Morrigan muses as she keeps the smile on her face. She wanted to beat whoever did it with a broom though. "Master Rank sounds exciting." she admits to that.

Then she listens to the man and there's a curiousness that makes an eyebrow quirk, "Interesting." she murmurs. "I'm not working on anything in particular. I started practicing and then got interrupted with the magic going wonky here. So may as well start anew." she states. "Do you have suggestions? Since you've been in my shoes before?" she asks.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
Hogarth takes one last bite of the apple before he is left with the core, seemingly tossing it back behind himself, but it disappears, reappearing over the compostable garbage. "Well, from the start, you have to at least channel your energy." Now that his hands are free, he holds them out and focuses, palms forward before he brings them in, facing each other like he is catching a pass in football. There's a glow of blue energy in his hands, that show themselves as strings of blue light woven between his hands. "If you can focus the energy like this you have a weapon, and a means to guard yourself."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look behind him and when she doesn't see the apple hit the floor she makes a mental note to learn that trick. She does give him a smile when he's willing to at least speak to her on things. And she watches intently with what he does with his hands.

The strings of blue power make her look from one hand to the other, "Focusing the energy. I'll have to work on that." she murmurs to him.

"Gods know I get into enough trouble that a guard would be great." she tells him as she brings her hands up to mimic his own.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
A quick dispelling if the power strings and he's ready to show her again.

Hogarth stands in front of Morrigan and cups his hands in front of his diaphragm. "Try to clear your mind, and see the space between your hands. Feel the warmth, and try to spark that energy. From your arms to your hands, to the void between." In his hands a light blue glow starts to show, faintly but it's there. "Yours may not look like mine, I've seen many different colors." It was true, Strange's energy was an ember like orange, Hogarth's is a sky blue.

Black Alice has posed:
There is the sound of footsteps from up above, honestly they are kind of muffled like the slap of fuzzy slippers on hard wood floors.

Approaching.

Thuph Thuph Thuph.

The young woman that comes into view at the top of the stairs is wearing black pajama pants and a matching top and indeed fuzzy black goat demon slippers. She has a ancient tome that looks absolutely priceless tucked under one arm.

Lori stares down the stairs at the occupants of the foyer. "Oh hey.. if it isn't Mr. Unbeliever and a friend."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's focus is on the motions of Hogarth. Her hands coming up, held apart from each other and there's a moment taken to close her eyes and just listen and try to clear her thoughts, breathing deeply and then letting it out.

There's a moment that energy does spark, a purplish color, but it fizzles out, lost as a new voice enters the surroundings and the womans eyes open, glowing faintly as she drops her hands. She gives a look up to Alice and a bit of a wave, "Evening." she greets her. The eyes go back to normal just as quick as they lit up.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
"That's it." Hogarth comments before he hears someone coming from upstairs.

Hogarth's energy flashed a little before dispelling again, turning an about face before looking up to Lori. "Oh, it's the 'apprentice'. How are you?" He obviously didn't believe her when she called herself Strange's apprentice. "Unbeliever implies that at one point I did believe. You can't have unsweet tea unless it starts off sweet and you take the sweet out of it." Slight shade being thrown there, but other than that he is cordial.

Black Alice has posed:
There is a snort. "Fine, god you are obnoxious.... you never believed so you are just a jerk. I tried to tell you all that Strange was being a wierdo and maybe wasn't him but no one I tried to talk to would believe me... and hell you wouldn't even believe I lived here and was his apprentice."

She squints down at Hogarth then points the priceless tome at him "Well I do and I am, ask him next time you run into him." then tucks it back under her arm.

"Not my fault no one believed me about Loki." well it actually is her fault, she has a reputation that makes people avoid the hell out of her.

"Oh hey new lady, Black Alice, nice to meet you maybe."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan notices the shade being thrown and there's a look from Hogarth to Alice as she listens to their back and forth. She doesn't interrupt for the moment. Her bright gaze just keeping track.

She dips her head a little to young woman when she talks to her, "Nice to meet you, Black Alice. I'm Morrigan. I was stopping in since the door wasn't dumping me back out on the curb anymore." she muses. "So this was Loki's fault?" she asks.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
"I knew before you decided to poof yourself outside of the Magic Box that the Doctor Strange inside the Sanctum was Loki. If you were in the Order you would have known too." Hogarth comments, arms crossed in front of him.

"Any magically inclined person standing outside of that door could feel the chaos magic seeping from it." Hogarth stands wearing orange and blue robes with his artifact boots of brown leather. "Why would Strange take an apprentice when he doesn't even teach in the Order? He has bigger things to do."

He cheats out to allow clear conversation between the three of them. "Yes, it was Loki. For some reason, he bamboozled the Vishanti into giving him the title of Sorcerer Supreme, then he SUCKED all the magic out of the leylines to revive a dead planet. Everything here is now weaker for it. Now Doc and I and the Order have been working to repair the damage, if it can even be done."

Black Alice has posed:
Lori moves down one step and then settles to sit on the top step, settling book down by her as she watches the two of them below.

"Well Loki is a trickster god and prone to swindling just about anyone really. It isn't that surprising he was able to swindle someone."

She rolls her eyes there. "What also isn't surprising is your 'Order' is a bunch of elitists who think they are the only ones with the answers." she gestures down at Hogarth.

"Also who is to say he is teaching me in your 'Order' vs, my just being the Sorcerer Supreme's apprentice... does that just chaff .. is that why you are so irked by my being around here and your being wrong?"

"Eh but then who would you be to question the Sorcerer Supreme.... me I just live here." there is this twist of magic all around them and Black Alice is sitting there on the top step of the Sanctum wearing an almost goth twist of Hogarth's robes.

She twists her hands and blue light bends between them drawing a pattern and then there is a cup of tea in her hands. That looked a whole hell of a lot like Hogarth's blue energy.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to the two of them, "Well, I have shift at the hospital to get to. Thank you, Hogarth, for the talk and a bit of a lesson." she tells the man. Then there's a look up to Black Alice and the switch of clothes, "I really need to learn that trick." she murmurs to herself. "I'm in 33A across the street if needed. I doubt that I will be, but just in case!" she chuckles as she heads for the door out.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
Hogarth sneers just a bit at the comment, then a distinct magical energy is shown, and a teacup?! She's drinking his magic?!

A boot is raised as if he's trying to step up to a stair that isn't there, and he falls right through, tripping and falling As he clambers back to his feet, he looks certainly unamused by the antics of Black Alice. He reaches for a nearby stick and holds it out in front of him. He twists at it and the wooden staff does...nothing. "All you've proven is that you are a magical leech, congratulations."

Black Alice has posed:
Lori rolls her eyes. "I proved you shouldn't make assumptions that you are better than everyone else you snob. All your training. Gone. Just a normal muggle. I haven't hurt you or done anything to you with it though, just clapped back a bit."

The teacup is vanished with a bit of blue energy. "I get I have a reputation but ... I was honest in my seeking help to deal with the problem and had it thrown in my face. Wouldn't that piss you off a bit?"

Hogarth Hart has posed:
The staff is put back, leaning against a wall before Hogarth crosses his arms again. "And if you worked for ten years for the chance to work with the Sorcerer Supreme in the only semblance of a way he has an apprentice, to find someone using dark magic so loosey-goosey and calling themselves his apprentice, wouldn't that just piss you off a bit?"

"I never heard of you before. And I never didn't believe you about Loki, it was the part about sling rings and apprentices that did it." Yes, the order doesn't use sling rings, that was a trinket they sold in a gift shop to tourists.

Black Alice has posed:
Also isn't wearing a sling ring for the record. "Whatever... ask him. He is the one who said I was his apprentice."

She straightens picking up the book. "He is afraid I think I will destablizze the fabric of magic itself or something with my loosy goosy behavior.. also it isn't dark magic. Well I mean what I do isn't.. I do sometimes borrow dark magic."

There is an unbothered shrug. "Green isn't your color anyways.. blue is.. so stop being a jealous jerk Hoggie." she waves a hand and is back to her pajamas as she releases the magic and starts to walk towards her room.

Hogarth Hart has posed:
There's a moment where Black Alice is turned around that Hogarth thinks about it, and he is pissed, at himself. "Hey, look. I'm sorry." He says, loud enough that he can be heard.

"It doesn't matter who's what. I'm here, you're here. And you're not like Loki...so truce?" Hes seeing it as there are worse things going on, and he's still learning here anyway. There's no reason for further hostilities.

Black Alice has posed:
She knew it was a risk turning her back on him like that, but she did it from a place of relative high moral ground and it turns out that she did have the high ground and made the right bet there.

His words though actually have her pause and turn back around stepping fully into view once more. "Truce. If I was a trickster god things would so different in my life... but no I am just who I am."

Hogarth Hart has posed:
He felt better at least, not leaving it at such a terrible note. "You know what I mean, you're on the side of the good guys. I hope." He takes the staff from the wall, twisting it again, and it separates into sections like it does, then merging back together. "Blue is a much better color for me."

Black Alice has posed:
She carefully twists her hands and sparks golden light between her fingers, twisting them into a shield disc, the proper way with her own spark then dispels it.

"I guess. Most of the teams I've worked with have been out for justice or at least were selfish neutral not evil." a shrug. "I took Strange up on his offer, I don't know why he made it, but we can make the best of it all."
