Mina Harker has posed:
The night's a warm, muggy night at the airport. Airplanes come and go, and Mina Harker's getting off of a flight from London. Sure, she could have, you know, gone bat swarm and flown, but this was cheaper and she got first class. But, she's also here, too....for another reason. She hates and is afraid of vampires, but she's willing to take one on. A weak, new one.

Start small. Oh and she's brought back, with her friends in the League, too, several British things. No it wasn't the trip with Nita, it was a business trip, but.....Mina's brought back English real ale, pork pies, and Scotch whiskey. Somehow that all got through customs. Somehow.

Stepping into the parking lot, Mina's got a car rented, a beat up one, for she's going to Gotham and is dressing down, looking like any normal traveller. Her beret's still intact mind...and she's got her daggers to hand, hidden. She's being followed, too. Vampires, literally and figuratively, suck!

Hellboy has posed:
Times had a habit of changing, but sometimes it was easy to forget, no matter how long ago that change had occurred. Red had a smoke in his mouth and was fishing for a lighter when several people had 'helpfully' reminded him that there was no smoking in this airport, except for specific areas.

This explained why Hellboy was in the airport bar, a few brews and half a pack in when the alarm in his wristwatch went off and started beeping. Now ever-so-slightly woozy(but still functional, Demonic endurance meant he had a while to go before he was officially 'drunk'.), the big man set out clacking his hooves along the ground to find the person he was supposed to meet, stinking of cigarrettes and cheap beer, and of course being a red-skinned creature with a giant right stone hand, it was easy to make out the figure in a crowd even before the big trenchcoat and the SHIELD badge hanging from his belt. Though he was having trouble finding Mina, unless she was blind and deaf and dumb she'd no doubt easily manage to spot him sooner or later.

Mina Harker has posed:
Mina's noticed alright, and she's got the door of her rental open, something something American minivan something insuraanceinsurance don't wreck it, something something hybrid. Mina's not bothered much. it's acar. It works, she's okay, really. She's waiting on her contact to meet up. She 'found' things in London, a dead drop of sorts, and she's been paid to hand over the little jewelry box. It's got jewelry in, oddly enough, but...she's got a van smelling of real English alcohol, pies, delicious pies, and all the goods England has to offer. Which are spread across the back of her van, too. Doors are open.

She's sat on the back seats scribbling in a notebook of sorts, and looks up noticing the stone hand and red skin, waving at the stone hand more than anything. That's the obvious bit. So's the red skin. Either he's a tomato mutant, or he's the guy she's here to meet. She reaches back and opens up a bag of potato chips. Or crisps, in British speak. Cheese and onion, to, as she munches on a handful, just watching the goings on in the parking lot. She does feel bad for, well, a couple with sevral kids trying to get luggage into a smaller car. She's glad she only ever uses carry on, too.

Hellboy has posed:
Tomayto, tomahto, either way Hellboy was relieved he could finally ketchup with the famous and infamous Mina Harker. Now here in the parking lot he didn't have to worry about nosy busybodies, although he did ignore quite a few people staring as they walked this way and that. As he approached the van and the display, he raised a brow as he remained standing. Aside from his bare hooves, he was dressed rather casual under the trenchcoat, simple khaki shorts and a black shirt with a familiar logo across the chest, with the arm and the sword. All very symbolic.

"You managed to get all this past customs? You must have some sorta wizard whammy that I don't know about."

Mina Harker has posed:
Mina nods wisely. "Yeah I did. So glad you could make it, havee a seat and help yourself. I took advantage of the whole 'I gt government connections' bit of my life" she shrugs and unwraps a pork pie, biting into it. Mmm, fresh, still warm after several hours flying, pork pie. Nom.. Nom nom nom, indeed. Mina swallows and looks to Hellboy. "So, what've you been up to? I figured you'd be a useful contact. Don't worry, this is nothing official. Instead. I" Mina says with a wry smile. "Was going to ask you to help me out house hunting." she nods. Plot twist. And here people were thinking they were doing some secret spy meting....no. No. Mina's offering food and being a fine hostess, and simply wanting help with finding a spot to call home in the Tri State Area. She's also been clothes shopping, too, if her carry on bag with an open zipper is anything to go by. Fashionable, and yet not gaudy or over the top, really. She's got a certain style and sticks to it....mostly. There's touches of her being, well, a demure woman, but mostly it's an outgoing, if stoic, clothing haul to match who Mina is. She has mind, got a jacket with Count Chocula on it. That's the one vampire she's actualy liking, but having eaten Cookie Crisp in the hotel, she's mad at him, too.Area

Hellboy has posed:
So, Red took a pie, though noticeably he stayed standing. Cloven hooves instead of feet, sitting down for HB was like standing for a normal person, it was complicated.

But as he ate, he listened while feeling the rays of dawn beam down from the East. After a few moments of eating in silence(each bite was half a pie gone, but he chewed slowly like a man who'd been pulling an all nighter. And with his work schedule, that was usually the case.).

"Well if you need help househunting, I could could offer what little help or advice I have. But in the meantime, I've got a little place in Gotham I never use, I always end up sleeping elsewhere these days. Here, take the keys, you can house sit until you find something more concrete and permanent."

As he tossed the keys to the woman, off behind them a few clicks, a woman was pushing a baby stroller, nonchalantly. Just a normal citizen, there was no reason to even mention them. So then why was HB's weirdness sense tingling, in the back of his mind?

Mina Harker has posed:
Mina listens and takes the keys, "Hey thanks. I appreciate it. So" she says looking to the badge. "You and I move in similar circles" she shrugs. Adventuress, MI5 contacts, similar circles really, as she twirls the keys and considers. Borrowing a house, hey there's something good. She won't out him as SHIELD in front of everyone. That'd be asking to get tossed in a cell. But still, she smiles, "You know, I could probably get somebody to import pork pies" she offers, with a laugh. She's serious, too. Importing pork pies. Knowing her, she'll hand them to the League as food. The idea of the League eating pork pies is a good one, too.....as Mina nods. "I'm Mina" she says, "But you know that already"

The unspoken part is 'if you did your research'

Which Mina's hoping he did.

Hellboy has posed:
While Mina was talking, it almost looked as if Hellboy wasn't paying attention, as if he were looking over his shoulder or glancing out over the distance, in actuality it was almost a bit rude, his behavior. But when she introduced herself, while still not looking down at her, he responded in that smooth rolling voice of his even as cigarette smoke billowed from his nose and mouth.

"There, in the presence of God, I understood at last how my love could release us all from the powers of darkness. Our love is stronger than death."

With the quote spoken, he looked in Mina's direction finally(with glowing eyes without pupils, it was extremely difficult to see his line of sight), and gave a slight wink before finally flicking the butt of that smoke along the ground, and stamping it out with a hoof.

"Your reputation proceeds you. In fact, I'm a bit of a fan of your work...speaking of, get ready."

With that extremely ominous statement, the old woman with the baby carriage was finally across the 'road' from the two monster experts, and that ancient looking woman upon closer inspection was maybe something a little other than human. She'd been giving Hellboy the evil eye for some time, and now she turned her full attention on the big red man, spitting on the ground and yelling in an ancient language, something like Russian but older and without the logical consistency of human tongue. From Mina's vantage point, she'd be able to see it all, Hellboy's hand reaching into his trenchcoat and pulling out a glass container of what looked to be white salt. He spun around and sprayed some of that salt into the air, and though hardly any of it reached the woman or the baby carriage, the inhuman shriek that came from her ancient lungs was enough to break the back windows of the cars directly behind her.

And it seemed, that was the cue for whatever was in the carriage. It got pulled back violently, and something appeared, a pale baby-shape in what looked like a white and black adorable onesie, where its miniature bat-wings were sticking out the back. Its face was something horrible like a miniature gargoyle, and slung over its shoulder was a black parasol, something completely blocking the path of the sun as it shrieked and flew through the air, harassing and kicking and clawing the face of the red man. Hellboy was swinging with that right hand of his, but the little babycherubvampcreature was way too quick. -Way- too quick.

Mina Harker has posed:
Oh, this is getting good now, Mina thinks as she's got her daggers out. She'll fight, sure, she'll fight if it's needed. It is, certainly needed. Mina's set her feet and is ready. Daggers in hand...and glaring daggers at the vampire thing...yeah, Maybe, maybe she's in over her head a little. But with the big red guy....not doing a lot, Mina moves quickly slicing at the little vamp winged....thing with her daggers. Sure. Daggers against vampire.

Mina's not playing around mind. She digs in her pocket and dangles a cross from her fingers sliding it onto her wrist, flicking her left wrist up, the cross dangling. Amusingly, it doesn't affect Mina, really. But she's not taking chances.

Hellboy has posed:
The blades of Dracula's old flame sing through the air and strike across the thin leathery wings and small hollow bones of those wings, red crimson trailing through the air as the little thing squeals and spins around on a dime to snarl and bare its many crooked razor-sharp fangs at Ms. Harker.

"Youuu, stoopid! Youu strike Lord Archduk-HNNNNLLLGH!"

That was all it was able to say before it was cut short by the big, stone right hand of doom smashing down through the air atop its horrible bestial head. It slammed against the ground like a basketball, which meant its parasol was now crumpled and useless. Little vampire thing, plus the rays of the sun, meant before long it was cooking like blood sausage on the grill and screaming horrible, horrible high pitched screams. For Hellboy's part, the container of salt was moved to his right hand as he drew a big honkin' revolver from his belt, clicking back the hammer and aiming it...and nothing but an empty carriage. It seemed whoever the woman was, she wasn't taking her chances on a prolonged encounter.

After a few long moments of silence, HB's body language finally changed, relaxing and slouching a little, as the weapon was relaxed and re-holstered slowly. He looked over to Mina, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I don't know what the hell that was about. Anyway, I'll show you the apartment, let's get out of here."

Mina Harker has posed:
Mina watches, shaking her head and wiping off the daggers on her jacket. "Take whatever food you like, and thanks for helping. I need to go lay down in a dark room" Mina shivers looking at the carriage then the daggers. "I think I could make something of this mind" she says. Then she's gone. A swarm of bats taking to the sky, as Mina's heading out of sight.
