Blurr has posed:
Salem Center is quite a nice little town, it seems. Well-decorated buildings, finely landscaped parks, and quaint shopping malls. On a weekend evening like this, many citizens are milling about the Lost Pond Mall, enjoying time away from work and school.

It -sort of- reminds Blurr of his home, or what used to be home, anyway. Of course, it doesn't quite come close to the splendor of what Translucentia once was. But it's something, right? The sleek blue vehicle that looks somewhat out of place is parked at the mall, watching the Terrans go about their evenings.

Nightingale has posed:
Yet another busy day, another event that was enough to rattle Shannon, was enough to have her seeking out the means and the company to get out and about. So after leaving a note in her dorm room, heading into town, and arranging to meet her chaperon back at the front of the mall a little later, she is more than ready to lose herself among the crowds. A pure, simple, /normal/ day, right?

Wrong. 'Simple' flew out the window the moment she had come to this area. It looked as if today was going to be no exception. The sight of a fairly unusual blue vehicle has her stopping in her tracks. No way. It couldn't be! But there was no mistaking that sleek design. It had to be Blurr.

It had bothered Shannon since the last there had been any communication from Blurr; the message had been acerbic, bordering on antagonistic, and with no way to reply. Recent events had left little time to seek the means to send an answer. But it seemed that perhaps today, the Fates would be kind. She approaches the vehicle, and peers in the window. "Hey there... any chance we could talk a bit?"

Blurr has posed:
This time, there is no one seated inside, but the way it looked almost like a concept drawing somehow pulled into real life probably gave it away. Plus, shannon had seen it before, at that cafe in Bushwick. For a moment, there is no answer, and it almost seems like she may be a crazy person talking to an empty car. Might have a gotten few looks, anyway...

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon sighs softly, not seeing any hint of an avatar inside the vehicle. But still, it was fairly distinctive, the vehicle. Chances are good it was him. And if not, well, the worst that'd happen is she'd have a little bit of egg on her face. But, she had to try anyways.

"Listen... I know you can hear me, and I don't blame you for not answering. I'm sorry for the way things worked out. None of us had good information to work with, and we did the best we could with what we had. I'm sorry if any of that got you in trouble, or otherwise upset you... but I'm not one bit sorry for having met you. There are few enough good friends in this universe, to let go of the few we find."

Blurr has posed:
There's a few seconds of silence after she says her piece, but finally the avatar appears, leaning against the side of the vehicle near her, its arms folded. "Hmph, it wasn't really your fault, I guess." Blurr admits. "But maybe you should remind your friends that they shouldn't act like they know what they're talking about if they actually -don't.-"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods slowly, breathing a deep sigh of relief as the avatar appears. At least now it didn't look so strange, talking to an empty vehicle. "Thing is, I don't think any of us knew. I certainly didn't. They didn't, and because of that, you didn't either." She smiles faintly, shifting her weight a bit. "I'll pass the message along, though."

She laughs softly, glancing between the avatar and the vehicle, and back again. "I can't even begin to imagine how humanity must seem from your perspective. Heck, till meeting up with you, beings from other worlds were simply the thing of fiction. You're the first I've ever actually met." Her smile widens a bit more, and she inclines her head towards Blurr. "But that doesn't matter, really. I see someone I'd like to continue to know, and perhaps even one day be able to call friend."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will fly into Salem center, landing in an alley not to farm from Shannon's local, but out of sight. He will then move to walk the couple streets down towards her. Sam may have came a bit quicker than normally would, a hint of that is the goggles strap sticking out of a pocket.

Blurr has posed:
The avatar stares at Shannon's...genuine desire to foster a valuable friendship. Primus, it had been a while since -anyone- had said something like that to him. And coming from an organic, too? Even weirder. "I..."

A shake of the head. "You Terrans are -weird-."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon laughs softly, a welcome change from the past several days, if Sam is close enough to hear her. "Hopefully weird in a good way. Hey... I'll pass along the message to Sam and Doug, if you make it a little bit easier to reach you. You can get a message to me, but I can't answer it."

It was at that moment she saw Sam, and her expression sobered. "Sam... I take it you got my other message? We've... got a situation on our hands."

She looks back over at Blurr, with a rueful smile. "I'd hoped to be able to stay in town a little longer this time, but a fairly urgent matter has come up."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over, and says "Yea, Ah have set up a meeting with someone who should be able to tell us if it is a bad thing, a ehh thing, or maybe even a good thing." He looks over and says "Ah, how are you doing today Blurr?" He will ask the young car.

Blurr has posed:
"Pff, whatever, I guess I should have known better to begin with. Those things are just a pile of bolt buckets compared to us." Blurr says, shrugging. "Fine, you can actually just hit your 'reply' action or whatever it is on your primitive comms system. Even if it doesn't look like it'll work, trust me, it'll work."

The avatar's brows go up at the mention of an urgent matter. "Oh? What kind of urgent matter? Maybe I can help. That's what friends do, right?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods slowly. "It's dealing with another unknown. Right now... it's on my person. We're not sure of its true nature, or how much or what sort of danger it might present, if any. Unknown tech, unknown energy... might even be called magic by some." She frowns slightly. "I'm reluctant to even touch it, because it seems touch and focused intent activates it. It's unknown if there's any passive functions it might have."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods a bit and says "Dealing with an item that maybe magical ma not, but Ah have set up a meeting for an expert to look at it. Do appreciate the offer, Ah actually was wondering, would you be willing to meet another student or two of mine?"

Blurr has posed:
"Magic, huh." Blurr scoffs slightly, because he doesn't really believe such a thing exists. Well, yet. As far as he's concerned, 'magic' is just technology that you don't understand. "Well maybe I can shed some light on it, yeah? I've been around a lot longer than any of you, so why don't you let me do some scans, see what I can figure?"

He shrugs at Sam's question. "Sure, why not I guess. So, you're a teacher?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon glances over at Sam. "What do you think? Would another scan hurt?" She bites her lower lip, her hand going to the bag that remains a constant presence, tied to her belt.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "If it can be quick, I got the person waiting on us, so we need to head asap." He tells the other man and says "Sorta, but will tell you up from these two can communicate with normal technology, Ah am curious how it would be with you around."

Blurr has posed:
"Alright, I can do a surface scan--that should be fairly quick." Blurr says with a nod. He nods at Shannon and starts the process as soon as she produces the object.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie pulls his goggles out and puts them on offering Shannon some sunglasses, and says "Might want to keep the wings in tight." He will tell her. Looking around to make sure none but blur will see them. After the scan Sam will scoop Shannon up in his arms and zoom they are blasting out of there.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods, opening up her leather pouch and withdrawing a small pendant that currently has no cord. It's dark blue, has a strange inner glow, shaped like an angel praying, and fits nicely within the palm of her hand. She holds it near the avatar so a scan can be taken. "Can't hurt to try." As soon as the scan is taken, she slips the pendant back into the pouch, and closes it. On go the sunglasses, as well as a warm smile to Blurr. "Thank you so much!" She's scooped up by Sam and... 3... 2.. 1...

BLASTOFF!
