Cast of Characters: Hammerhead, Starfire

Hammerhead has posed:
Nassau County is not the type of place one would associate with organized crime. But, to Hammerhead, it was a prime spot to expand his ever growing Empire, and it helped that The Tornadoes, one of the gangs under Hammerhead's control already had a prescense there. You see, Chad Billingsly, the gang's leader and son of District Judge Buford Billingsly, lived here in his Father's summer home while attending classes at Empire University when school was in session.

It was nighttime in Oyster Bay and Hammerhead was standing outside a warehouse located in one of the many villages that made up the bay. Normally, he hated visiting small towns, finding that he stood out like a sore thumb, especially with his "hideous head" as some people called it. But, The Tornadoes had managed to get their hands on illegal gambling equipment through one of their lieutenants, Tim, whose Uncle lived in Macau.

Hammerhead was "supervising" the Tornadoes as they carried the newly smuggled equipment into a large semi-truck that was bound to go into one of the larger areas of Nassau County where another one of Hammerhead's crews, The Corsairs, would unload them and start up a new underground casino. As the blue-sweatered clad Tornadoes grunted and wheezed as they carried the equipment, which were sealed in large, wooden boxes, Hammerhead tapped his foot impatiently while saying," Hurry up ya bums! I don't got all night!"

Starfire has posed:
There's a shooting star going by - or was it? Soon enough it comes to a stop and the glowing form of Koriand'r - Starfire of the Titans, is floating there. "A bit late in the day for a movming company, isn't it?" she finally asks to nobody in particular, eyebrow raised as she looks at the situation. "Isn't it past closing time?" she asks the 'foreman', the one named Hammerhead. She just watches, eyebrow raised, idly squeezing a small object in her hand. Something yellow.

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead looks up in surprise when he hears a voice up in the sky. He stifles back a surpised gasp when he sees Starfire hovering over him and his boys. The Tornadoes loading the equipement also look up in surprise, one of them nearly dropping a small box. Hammerhead shoots a small glare at the clumsy Tornado and turns back to Starfire, a small grin in his face. He then says to her, in a attempt to hopefully trick her," Nah, we are open late. We are just loadin somethin to go ta Hempstad."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly. "Oh, okay. What do you have there? Some of it looks heavy." She lands on the ground, her hari still glowing dully in the darkness, as well as her eyes. "Wait - is that an arcane cabinet?" she asks. "I didn't think people still used these things with all the videogames available at home... I've never actually seen one like it." She moves over to it.

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead's eyes widen as Koriand'r starts to approach one of the "Arcade Cabinents", which was really a slot machine inside a box meant to be carrying a aracde machine, a clever trick by Tim's uncle. If she took a closer look at the box, she might end up seeing the slot machine inside, and they would be fucked. The Tornado near the box, a tall, scrawny one with glasses and brown hair looks at Hammerhead, as if asking for directions. Hammerhead just nods, telling him to wing it. The Tornado suddenly turns to Kori and says," Yeah, it is a arcade cabinent. We are loading an entire shipement of them."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly. "Need a hand? You guys look like you're struggling and to me, they'd be rather lightweight." She notices that Hammerhead seems nervous and stops. "Or - is this some kind of union thing where only the union members can do the work? I've heard of that." She just stands there, idly, not sure what to do here.

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead nervousness grows into a grin. He couldn't believe a hero was dense enough to beleive a slot machine was a aracde machine. He grins and says to her," Sure lady. You can help us load da truck. Don't worry, me and da boy won't tell da big bad union about this. It will be our little secret."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly as she quickl ystarts lifting boxes like they weigh nothing and loads them for you. She sets a few of them down rather hard, one of them making a bit of a cracking noise, but she pays it no mind as she quickly finishes the loading process. "There you go!" she chirps, as she sees a shiny object fall to the floor outside the truck. She wondres what it is - not quite a coin of monetary value.

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead smile apprectivly at Koriand'r as she loads the last box into the truck. He cringed a but once he heard the cracking, but quickly got over it once he saw that she paid it no mind. What did get his attention however, was the coin that fell to the ground outside the truck, that got Kori's attention. Hammerhead quickly pulled out a 10 dollar bill and went up to Kori and attempted to hand it to her while saying," Thanks fer ya help. Here is somethin to make it worth ya while."

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r nods slowly as she takes the ten. "Thanks," she states, tucking it in a pocket (not that she has many of those in her skimpy outfit). She gets out the small object and is squeezing it - apparently it's a... small plushie mustard bottle. Apparently she's a bit anxious. She then smiles. "I hope that helped save you some tmie," she coooos.

Hammerhead has posed:
Hammerhead smiles at Kori and says," Yeah, ya save a lot of time. Thanks for da help. See ya around." As Hammerhead left to join his friends in the truck, he stared at the mustard bottle with a raised eyebrow. As the truck drove offm you hear electronic beeping and a clownish laugh coming from the opened garage entrance of the warehouse.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r frowns as she walks over, picking up the coin - which says '$5 token' and 'Atlantic City' on it. Weird. She walks in and follows the sound, eyebrow raised as she looks around inside the garage, wondering what she'll see.

Hammerhead has posed:
The noises grow louder as you get deeper into the warehouse. You see a bright flashing light in a caged area, perhaps the men forgot to load a arcade machine. When you get close enough, you see what it really is. It is a slot machine with a grinning clown that lets out electronic laughter. Suddenly, it lets out a big laugh as it says," Congratualtions, you are a winner!" As the arcade tokens fell from the machine, you realized you just helped gangsters smuuggle gambling games into Nassau County.

Starfire has posed:
Koriand'r just stares. She growls - then emits a feral shriek as she fires a powerful starbolt at the slot machine - blowing it into and through the wall. She walks out and stares - but the truck is long gone. She shrieks in rage as she rises up, a red glare coming from her as she floats there - but without a target for her rage, she just clenches her fist, almost crushing her mustard-bottle toy, and flies away.
