Cast of Characters: Rogue, Emma Frost

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is seated outside of the Music Center shop on a bench in front of the store's main window. She's smoking a cigarette and looking at her phone, its about 8:15 at night and the store's lights are still inside but they close up at 9:00 so there's not too much time left for any prospective shoppers.

Emma Frost has posed:
The green Bently that is Emma's chauffeur pulls into an empty spot and out of the passenger seat, a tall blonde woman steps out and starts to walk in without so much as a glance in anyone's direction other than forward into the shop.

The door chime rings as she enters and her voice rings out and can be heard, "Hello again! Do you -" And then the door shuts again. She sounded polite and excited to be in the store.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue glanced up at the fancy car when it pulled up and she saw Emma get out of it, which made her softly sigh and look back down at her phone while the White Queen passed her by and went inside the store. Rogue heard the intro that Emma used and then the door closed with a jingle of the little guitar-noise-maker used to announce customers.

"What a bitch." Rogue muttered under her breath and then continued to swipe down the list of guys on her phone, she was judging their profiles online very harshly, mostly cause it was a fun habbit to do.

Emma Frost has posed:
A few minutes pass and Emma is walking out of the store with a large vinyl set held under one arm and she steps up to Rogue and smiles at the girl. "You seem to be having a bad day again." Emma says, as she stops near Rogue and doesn't peak at the girl's phone, but the motion of her thumb makes it rather obvious what she's doing. The white queen recognizes the girl and seems to be trying to make more of a connection this time.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue picked up her icy drink that the man had sold her about 20 minutes ago when he pushed his cart by. She sipped it when Emma came back out and spoke at her and Rogue's green eyes went up to Emma and were all huge and acuasatory. But after pulling the straw out from between her lips, Marie sat the cup back down on the bench beside her and shook her head.

"No way, Jose." She said in response. "I'm right as rain. I'm fine as wine. I'm supe'ah dupe'ah with a lime!" Rogue then dropped her phone into her lap and did jazz-hands up at Emma.

With a smirk then, her hands dropped to her lap over her phone and she looked at the vinyl. "What the hell did ya buy in there?" She asked, quite curious now.

Emma Frost has posed:
"Sounds like you're trying to sell the idea more to yourself than me." Emma says, with a soft crook of the outside of her silver painted lips.

Emma's kind enough to not take a seat while talking to the southerner, but she doesn't need to either. With a glance towards the stack of vinyls Emma lifts them slightly and then back to Rogue. "I bought a records for a music-phile friend of mine. I hope she likes older Daft Punk and The Black Keys. I had to special order them and everything."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue smirked at the first part that Emma said and shook her head side to side. She then exhaled sharply and glanced at tye vinyl again before shrugging her shoulders. "Who knows. Most people in this world have terrible taste'n music." She said, looking down at her phone as she got a text from Remy (Bring food home) which made Rogue sigh even more.

A second later and Rogue looked back up at Emma. "When you said you could help me, what the hell did you mean by that?" She finally asked, remembering that day afterall.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma moves the vinyls to be held by both hands in front of her belly. "Most kinds of music aren't for everyone, but every kind of music has at least one fan, somewhere." Emma says, with a shrug, it's not for her anyways, she doesn't even have a record player. She thinks.

"I meant I could help you be to be the best version of yourself. I can tell you're having some ... struggles." Emma says, trying to hint her voice kindly towards the young mutant before her. She's genuine in her words even though she doesn't have the easiest time being nice.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue shakes her head softly at that. "I'm bette'ah now than I have been my whole damn life." She muttered in her thickly accented voice.... which wasn't exactly true, Marie adored life up until the age of six or so... she'd been happy as a kid could be.

With a sigh though she shrugged her shoulders. "I got some problems, but who doesn't? I mean, thats just how life works, ya know?" She glanced back at Emma and the record, then back up at Emma. "Sides, why do you even care what sorta state I'm in anyhow?" Rogue took another drag on her cigarette and then put it out in the ash trah beside the door on her left.

Emma Frost has posed:
"I care because we're more similar than you think." Likely more similar than Emma even thinks.

"Don't get me wrong," Emma says as she considers her words and turns towards her ride as she does so, "Life will always be hard for us, but if we can help someone and don't, doesn't that make us even worse?" Emma smiles a practiced smile towards Rogue before she finishes her turn and starts to walk over towards her car once more and slides the gifts away into the trunk. Leaving Rogue with a multi-layered truth to think about.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue listened to this as she sipped her icey orange drink again and then just watched Emma go. "Right, well... maybe." Rogue said back at her as she went to her car. "Eithe'ah way, I looked ya up and I know ya run some fancy school in the city, the one I was passin' by the othe'ah day... Its not my kinda place. I don't care for places with tons'a rich snobs all around me. Yeah, Westcheste'ah has a lot of'em too... but they're easier t'hide from out here. Lotsa greenery, which is where I feel most comfortable."

Emma Frost has posed:
"Just look again when you still haven't learned control and can't kiss your fiancee on your wedding day." Emma says as she shuts her trunk and smiles to Rogue kindly as she walks over to the passenger seat, "That is if you two make it that long."

The White Queen says as she climbs in, "I do wish you luck."
