Synopsis: Natasha and Wade catch up on things
Cast of Characters: Black Widow (Romanoff), Deadpool

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
A few days ago...

Natasha is sitting on the couch, staring at the television set. This wouldn't be so unusual if not for that fact the tv isn't turned on. She's lost in thought as she stares, holding a glass of vodka in her right hand. She's lost in thought, going through the events of the last 24 hours and trying to wrap her head around everything. Her boots are already off, sitting on the floor by her feet. Gauntlets have been removed and tossed on the table in front of her. Her belt with holsters lays there as well. One of the Glocks is in the holster. The other isn't visible.

A little frown mars her expression as a part of her day plays back in her head.

Deadpool has posed:
Then came the shimmering light and the Star Trek teleporter sound effects. His teleportation belt didn't actually make that sound as a matter of fact, but he had gotten Weasel to add in the sound effects as an option. So, if he was sneaking up on someone, it wouldn't play the sound, but teleporting home, every time, even before he had someone to teleport home to. He called out, "Lucy, I'm home?" In a faux Spanish accent. He was dressed for work, meaning he was in his red and black. Though he had a briefcase in one hand, not his briefcase. It was probably filled with a lot of money. And then he saw her. He slipped into the couch, still having the guns and swords strapped to him, and sat next to her. "Oh, Natasha, what's wrong? Did you miss me?"

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Hearing the sound warns her who it is. Thus he doesn't get a Glock pointed at his face. Again.

What a weird relationship they have.

Turning her head, Natasha can't stop herself from sliding her hand to the back of his neck. Her other hand finds that mask, which she knows he prefers to keep on, and pulls it up. Out of respect for his feelings, she only pulls it up enough to reveal his mouth. Which she immediately puts her own lips to, giving him a kiss that has a desperate edge to it. Like it's the last kiss she will ever get and she has to make the most of this one.

Hopefully that answered one of his questions.

Deadpool has posed:
Well, that was about the best possible greeting she could give Wade and he most definitely approved. After their lips separated, he decided to remove the mask entirely, and the swords, which he placed on the coffee table, and the glock, and the other gun, and another, and another, until he was all weaponed out. There were a lot of weapons. He really should have emptied them in the armoury, but he was doing it here and now for comedic effect, to try and make her laugh, as he was fairly certain something was wrong. "Okay, it's all right, Uncle Wade is here." Even though he was like 60 years her junior, he did look older than her.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
As the pile of weapons grows and grows, it does what he had hoped. Natasha chuckles softly, shaking her head. "I'll have you show me later where you manage to hide all that stuff."

She sets her vodka on the table, after shoving a couple of weapons out of the way, then leans back on the couch again next to him. Her gaze locks on his and she considers where to even start. The beginning usually was the best.

"I'm sorry I didn't make it home last night," she starts, putting her hand atop his. "I was trying to find someone who attacked Clint." He knows the archer is her best friend but nothing more but it's still sometimes a touchy subject she fears. "You heard on the news about the attacks? People getting put in to comas?"

Deadpool has posed:
"If it's not on ABC, BBC, CBC, or DBC, I don't watch it, but I have been giving serious consideration to EBC." In fact, he does watch more than that, but he wanted to tell another joke. He slips his arm around her, pulling her in tight. "Comas, bad, got it." He knew of Clint, but just a name really. He was a little worried, especially as she often didn't come home, but he trusted her. Besides, even if he had to share her, it was more than he ever dared hope for."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"There was some sort of villain who put him into a coma with a touch. I was on a fetch and carry mission for Fury when I got the news. Came back to the Triskelion to see him." She picks up that vodka then settles into the circle of his arm again, leaning against him. "While I was there, he woke up. But he wasn't Clint. He was something else. Possessed. With a coma touch. He took out a doctor and another agent with it." She sips. "We fought. He ran. I chased. He..." She closes her eyes, every second playing back on the insides of her eyelids it seemed. "He killed an agent. I took him down. Had to use a lethal setting on the Widow's Bite to do it but got him down long enough to get him into a containment cell. "

Natasha opens her eyes. With Wade, she allows the pain to be seen. "In the end, things were resolved and oddly, the agent is no longer dead. But...I hesitated. I didn't do what I needed to. I should've stopped him before he got a chance to kill someone. I failed."

Deadpool has posed:
"No, you cared." Wade recognises. "Caring for people isn't a weakness. It's a strength. Unless of course you're playing Ultra Mega Super Street Fighter II Classic Max Edition on Nintendo Super Switch, then all bets are off." He comforted her. He gave her laughs, or tried to, and he ran his hand through her hair. "In the end, you did what you had to do. Of course, if you're ever in that situation with me, you can feel free to do whatever it takes. One, I'll probably still have my healing factor, and two, factor or no factor, if you ever feel the need to take me down, you do it. I... wouldn't want to see me hurt you. So, this is a pre-emptive do not resuscitate from me to you. And for the record, I don't want you to date after me. But, if you killed me, who am I to judge?"

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
How can he make her smile when she's feeling so miserable? That's just what he does.

It's a small smile but it's there. Natasha shakes her head. "I don't know if I could though. That's the problem. I feel like I've lost my edge. Well, it's confusing. I feel that way but at the same time, I wanted to kill someone. So I went hunting. For the Flatliner person. Instead I found a killing that had all the marks of being a hit by the Winter Soldier. So I went to investigate. Should've known that it was a trap. It was too easy to figure out. But he wanted to talk. To tell me Russia wants me back. I declined. Aggressively. So the bruises are from that." Her back and side, getting flung through a wall. He'll see them later most certainly. "But he got away. Then there was an attack at SHIELD. Clint got loose and fought with Agent May. Fury was about to shoot him. Clint went down. Dead. I..." A swallow. "I was going to kill Agent May. If Clint hadn't come back to life, I think I'd have killed every single person in that room including Fury." Or at least she would've tried. "Wade, all of this that's been happening, I'm worried. Something dark in me is back and I don't want to be that way."

Deadpool has posed:
Wade listened. He kept his mouth shut for once. He nodded. He shook his head. He reacted to each bit of information, patiently, and calmly. He had made her smirk, maybe not laugh, but something, and when she mentioned the dark, "Okay, in reverse order. If you like dark, then I'll get a spray tan. Dark, light, grey, I can be any kind of Jedi you need. But, you know, things are a lot quieter in Canada. There's redacted, and redacted, and oh yeah, super redacted, but besides that, not much else is going on. Well, unless you count redacted." And he was saying redacted each time, but when he said it, it was as if he was saying it in a different a voice, a different accent. He wanted it to sound like he'd be dubbed over.

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
Natasha chuckles again, laying her cheek against his shoulder in her favorite spot. "I see. So I should worry less and go to Canada. Where nothing is happening." She refuses to say the word. He'd probably appreciate it if she did but she will not let it happen. She rssts her hand on his chest, drawing a circle with her fingers when something sinks in. "Jedi?" She lifts her head, looking at him. With his love of so many unusual things, that one shouldn't stand out. It does. Not only because of the reference though.

"If I went to the Dark Side, you'd go with me?" she asks. It was in his offer, in his own way of saying it. She thinks.

Deadpool has posed:
Deadpool's response is quiet. It is quick. And it is simple. "Yes."

Black Widow (Romanoff) has posed:
"I'm not sure that's a good thing," Natasha murmurs softly. But she does move, rising to her feet. She picks up her gauntlets and belt from the table. Then she pulls her extra Glock out from behind a seat cushion and holsters it. Holding those all in one hand, she grabs his hand with her free one. "C'mon," she urges. "Let's go to bed."
