Old school New Mutants kick it for a moment.
Date of Scene: 07 October 2019
Location: Andrea's Room (East Halls), Xavier's School
Synopsis: Andrea and Laura catch up, finally. They still love each other.
Cast of Characters: Rage, X-23

Rage has posed:
Hanging out in her room is Andrea, who is currently in her pajamas and is watching TV. She is sitting on her bed with a phone in her hands, tapping away with her thumbs along the glass as she sends out a couple of texts to her family. She has the news on, just listening to the current events and politics.

X-23 has posed:
Laura is not, as a rule, much of a social butterfly, or one for social visits. And yet, she's outside the door of Andrea's room, and she raps at the door with her knuckles, waiting patiently for the door to be opened.

Rage has posed:
Glancing upwards, Andrea knows her friend's knuckles by now, on the door, and as a sparring partner. She gives a smile and calls out. "Come in!" She scoots over on the bed to make room as she puts her phone to the side and away. "That you, Laura?" She asks as she gives a wiggle of her feet with her squeaky wolf slippers on. Bark Bark.

X-23 has posed:
"It is." Laura opens the door. The short girl smiles a bit, taking a couple steps in. "How are you doing?" she asks, as she approaches.

Rage has posed:
"I'm doing okay, I guess. Just trying to fit in again." Andrea says as he offers her a smile. "The team is different. Feels all weird now without you on it, or Boris... or even Erika I guess. I feel like I'm starting over and everyone sees me as this outsider who's just pranced in." She sighs softly. "I miss fighting with you and kicking ass in the DR."

X-23 has posed:
"The team /is/ different." Laura says, simply. "The new team has shown new interest in my presence on it. But I'm happy to fight with you any time in the Danger Room. Things change." She doesn't sound like she's angry, or sad...just acknowledging a fact. "It was difficult when you left."

Rage has posed:
"I had to go on tour for the summer. Contract stuff. Was the last one so that I can finish my Senior year and begin work on my third album. With all the Sentinel stuff going on, it took a bit longer for me to come home." Andrea taps her fingers together a few times. "Why was it difficult for you? You got promoted to the big team. You get to go on real missions and make a real difference."

X-23 has posed:
Laura looks back, and tilts her head. "Why is that so important to you? You practically had a fight with me about it before you left. I do what I do, Andrea. I did it as a student; I do it now. In both cases, I work alone much of the time, but I help others when they ask me."

Rage has posed:
"It's not important to me. I'm happy for you. I'm just not a fan of how you went about it though." Andrea says as she rolls off the bed to stand at her full height. "It doesn't matter now. That's yesterday's stuff. I have missed you though. A lot. I really am glad to see you though. What's been going on while I was on tour?"

X-23 has posed:
"Primarily, Sentinels. That issue is still not resolved. There's been a new stranger at the mansion, though he has been chased out now." She sighs. "Be glad you were not here for the moon debacle."

Rage has posed:
"Eh, with this place, it's one thing or another. Shannon was going on and on about some guy tricking her, and Deadpool was here being an ass again." Andrea says as she shrugs her shoulders upwards. "Mason and I broke up." She says with a twirl of her finger. "Now he's dating Shannon I guess. That stings a bit. I don't get him."

X-23 has posed:
"Evan left." Laura says, bluntly. "It's likely just as well. If we're planning to stay activer in this line of work, relationships are impractical."

Rage has posed:
Andrea lets out a low snort. "That is not true. Do you feel that way about friendships." She says as she gives her a nudge to the shoulder. "Friendships are relationships."

X-23 has posed:
"Friendships are not romantic." Laura explains. "But, even friendships are...tactically unwise. They cause distractions. They can cause mistakes in combat." She pauses, and sighs slightly. "But, there is more to life than JUST tactical consideration."

Rage has posed:
"That's what you're supposed to be learning here at the school after all." Andrea says as she gives her an amused grin. "You aren't a robot, Laura. You're a person. You can turn the Weapon X-23 stuff for a few months and just relax. When you're not on a mission, just chill and try and be a girl. Have you made any other friends while I was gone, outside of Evan?"

X-23 has posed:
She thinks about how to reply. "I...came to civil terms with my father?" she offers. Okay, so she's still not much of a social person. "Samuel comes from a similar background. And Hisako has become my..."roommate"." Laura loads that last word with a lot of distaste.

Rage has posed:
"Samuel is very nice. I've had a chance to fight with him in the DR and I found us very compatible in combat." Andrea says with a chuckle. "It was fun. Reminded me of fighting with you on how automatic he was." Her brows lift upwards. "Why don't you move in with me? Be my roomie?"

X-23 has posed:
Laura looks confused. "I was not aware that was an option. I had a room of my own until I was told that I had a roommate." A pause, then she adds "And you were not available until recently."

Rage has posed:
"Well, I'm asking you now to be my roomie. Just move in if you don't wanna live with Hisako." Andrea chuckles. "How come you don't like living with her?"

X-23 has posed:
"I do not generally like being around people too much, Andrea." Laura says. "You are one of the few people I am willing to be around for a more prolonged period. I would rather not have ANY roommate." A frown crosses her face. "But the faculty seems intent on my socializing."

Rage has posed:
"Yes, because you need to learn how to be a person and a woman and not a piece of furniture." Andrea laughs softly. "At least we'd get along and I'm hardly in here as it is. I got the clubs I signed up for, classes, promo events, sound checks, blah blah blah."

X-23 has posed:
Laura sounds annoyed. "I am not furniture. But, if the staff is willing to allow it, I know you better than others and would choose that."

Rage has posed:
"You aren't, but you like to act like emotions are a hindrance to you." Andrea says with a squint of one eye at her. "Do you still have trust issues?"

X-23 has posed:
That gets a faintly amused look. "Trust issues? Do I have trust issues?" Laura asks. The slight curl of her lip might as well be laughing out loud if she were someone more expressive.

Rage has posed:
"Oh you /totally/ have trust issues." Andrea laughs as she gives her another nudge. "But I'm glad that you've came a long way since you first arrived here. I figure a few more make overs and trips to the mall, we'll have you listening to pop music and engaging in proper gossip soon enough."

X-23 has posed:
Laura thinks, as she considers. "I /did/ discover ice cream while you were gone. Ice cream is wonderful." she admits, looking back to Andrea. "We should go out for icecream."

Rage has posed:
"We should totally go out for ice cream." Andrea agrees. "You wanna go tomorrow?" She asks as she gives a wiggle of her wolf slippers. "How 'bout after classes? I'm dying to know what your favorite flavor is."

X-23 has posed:
"Strawberry." Laura answers without hesitation. "Rum and raisin, and chocolate, are both quite accepable." She looks at the wolf slippers, then back up. "Those seem very incongruous with your image."

Rage has posed:
Saueaking the slippers again, Andrea gives her a grin. "You want a pair also? Maybe some cute lion ones?" She sing songs to her playfully as she sways back and forth upon them. "I love cherry cheesecake. That's my favorite."
