Cast of Characters: Thor, Doctor Strange

Thor has posed:
Thor has paid a call to the Sanctum Santorum...he does not make such calls lightly, though it is always good to visit a friend who knows the true scope of everything actually going on out there. There are many words he cannot and should never really say to his mortal friends on Midgard...and many of those same words he cannot even speak of to his friends on Asgard. Some things are truly need to know, and the need to know list is small for a reason.

So, when he lands, and knocks on the door, "Dr. Strange?" They've much to discuss.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Such knocks are rare, knocks that are able to level a door at the slights exertion of force, yet they seem to be becoming more and more frequent at and around the sanctum. Though Thor's knuckles never meet wood, the door opens immediately, both swinging inward rapidly at the mere idea of being rapped upon by the son of Odin.

The Foyer is dark, nearly ominious in its decor, and yet, there's an almost inviting and welcoming presense though none is immediately seen. No Wong, no Rogue, no Kitty, none are here at the moment other than "Thor... I was not expecting you so soon." The wizard says as he is behind Thor (Who I assume walked in) and is shutting the doors and turning to face the god.

Thor has posed:
Of course the door opened by itself. He's learned to expect the unexpected in this place. "There is much to discuss...and I have been hearing much of what Loki's been doing lately. First, I must thank you for helping us restore our home. It means a lot to everyone on Asgard, even if my brother's methods of actually doing it leave much to be desired." Pause. "Still, I'm grateful to have my home back. Ragnarok is not easily undone." There was a bit of good that came out of things...even if it imposed on his friend quite a bit.

"Did you...manage to recover all that was lost during the restoration?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"There is much that has happened worth discussing." Stephen says as he instantly whisks both of them to the study den, with two large wingback leather chairs, beyond plush and comfy but still reasonable and respectable speaking area with tables next to each chair and a fire the side to fight the bite of New York's Autumn.

"Loki's theft and abuse of my station and the artifacts that are inherent to that station is quite the offense, I believe I let him off incredibly easy with a punch to the nose." Strange admits, then shakes his hand at the wrist, still suffering some pain from the blow. "And I have an associate of mine working on the cataloguing of all the artifacts and tomes within the sanctum, so I'm sure she's pleased to have work to do at least." Stephen says with a frowning shrug. "I mean simply asking me to help restore Asgard would have been sufficient." Stephen admits somewhat sourly.

Thor has posed:
"I fear he's been conniving so long it never occurred to him someone might help him willingly. He thinks he has to lie and cheat to get anything, or nothing is all he'll get." Still, a list was mentioned..."Is anything he took still missing, or have you successfully recovered it all? It's bad enough he still has the Space Stone, but as long as I'm going to have to hunt him down anyway to retrieve that..."

Thor does take a seat, when offered one. It is comfortable in here. ...it's even a little like home, considering his foster mother Queen Frigga was the High Sorceress of Asgard until Malekith took her life. And really, she did the work of being his actual mother, so she was 'mom' to him.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"That does seem to be his defining trait, however it's one that he should be above, as he's only injured me, and those I care about several times, and lately, he's taken to invading a school. That is something I will not tolerate good Odinson." Stephen says, using proper terms and yet being as polite as he can with a friend. "And if anything is missing via Loki's schemes, I have yet to notice it, so some things may be missing, nothing may be taken, I am unsure." The wizard notes.

Thor has posed:
Thor actually nods, "I've spoken to Tony and the Xmen already, and I've been given to understand Steve has much to discuss as well about my brother's machinations. There was actually residue from the Space Stone on the ground of the manor when Shannon tried to heal him, not knowing any better about who and what Loki actually was. I'm glad she didn't actually absorb any of that...healing powers or not, the Stones aren't to be trifled with. Loki must've overused it quite a bit to get poisoned like that."

"He has a lot to answer for. I should've been here sooner to deal with it before it got this bad." Or perhaps..."Or perhaps I'm a bit soft because I keep hoping my little brother will develop compassion someday, despite the fact he hasn't for over a thousand years." Pause. "Regardless, he's definitely not allowed on school grounds anymore, they don't want apologies, they just want him gone. Their telepaths will be looking for signs of him should any other innocous visitors arrive."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Steve has something to discuss in regards to Loki, I would like to be there, but do not tarry on account of me, be sure to have him tell someone else to forward me the information as well." Stephen says with a sigh as he lowers his hands to the arms of his chair. "I can't help but feel partially responsible for some of this. I figured having Loki close at hand when he didn't know I knew it was him gave me the high ground. It seems I was wrong. Very. A costly mistake to be sure." Strange nods with another sigh of himself and his self-disappointment. "Though - Either of us might want to inform them, Loki is powerful enough to disguise himself from even the strongest telepaths... I believe that he really is that capable."

Thor has posed:
That's an excellent point. Loki IS skilled enough at mind magic to blank his thoughts, or even put up a false thought wall to make him look like an ordinary person. "You're right, he is that good. Comes with the territory of being god of trickery and mischief." He nods, though, "I've made a similar mistake myself before. I paid for it...in fact, many paid for it. I have learned it's not enough to simply play along anymore."

His mind tends towards plans then..."So...I believe the first order of business is retrieve the Space Stone...then...I've been considering reviving my father as well. I don't know if you've felt it yet...but Heimdall has seen a fleet out in space, and it's made him a little nervous about the direction in which it's headed." So..."If that fleet is what Heimdall thinks it is, having my father back may well be necessary."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Resurection is never simple Thor..." Stephen says, frowning even deeper. "But if you and your people think it wise, I will help Asgard once again. Tell me... What do you need?" The wizard asks, as if he was ready to get to work this very moment, seemingly not as worried about this ship as he ought to be, but if Thor has a plan to deal with this thing, then lets get that plan in motion now.

Then he leans forward, hand lifting and elbow pinning into the chair arm as he rests his chin in his hand, "Also, what can you tell me of these ships, I've felt... movement in the other dimensions, but nothing in our own..."

Thor has posed:
"...It isn't, no. I'd prefer to avoid going through Hela if I can manage it, as she has...her own opinions about life and death and what is necessary." Still, what is needed? "Well...I am not a master of resurrections. I would appreciate advice on the safest way to go about it. Resurrections have unwelcome side effects even when they are successful, but still, some methods are safer than others, and I do not wish to cause undue harm by this."

"Heimdall does not recognize the man of purple who commands the fleet. But he wears a golden glove...and it appears to be a glove made of Uru. This is...troubling."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Heimdall doesn't recognize him?!" Stephen asks surprised, understanding near instantly the implications. Seems the wizard has done his studying of Norse Mythology and countless others. Stephen then shifts from one hand to the other upon his chin. He is utterly bewildered and in deep thought while conversing with Thor.

"I assume we'd have to go through Hela unless we could circumvent her and go straight to Valhalla, that is where your father resides currently, no?" The wizard asks, looking to Thor with curious grey eyes.

Thor has posed:
"Yes, he's in Valhalla, as are all the honored dead." The temptation to resurrect his mother too, and others who were lost during Ragnarok is great...but he knows that to overdo it is to invite disasters untold. There is enough risk in resurrecting only one. "The trick, then, is to get to Valhalla directly." But how? "There are ways to Valhalla. The Space Stone is one, though Loki just demonstrated why it should be avoided if possible. The paths through Asgard that existed before may be changed...I'd have to look around the slow way to find the path now, as only Hela would know for sure where it is at this time." On the other hand..."But am I overthinking this? My sister and I often disagree, but should I not be just asking her for help?"

"Heimdall has guessed the man of Purple may be an Eternal of some sort...but he is not normal...some sort of deviant." Thor still sounds a little disturbed about that.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"May haps if you ask with a friend, and the Sorcerer Supreme at your side." Stephen says, knowing he pulls some weight even in the upper spheres, or at the worst, he can carry his own weight. The wizard nods and keeps mulling over. "Deviant, Eternal...These are terms I am not familiar with. I will have to do more research I fear." Stephen explains though the gleam in his eye, he loves researching and learning, even if it's of an impossible or unfathomable nature. "Let me know when you need my help. I can be, useful at finding routes as well." Stephen hints.

Thor has posed:
Makes sense. Go together, and things are more likely to happen. "...That's the point of the Avengers, isn't it? To do as a team what no one of us can do alone. I'm glad you're here with me when I need to talk about things that...the others aren't ready to know." Doesn't mean they'll never be ready, but the time has not yet come.

"Very well. We shall speak with my sister as soon as a meeting can be arranged. First, though...I feel like my brother possessing the Space Stone has to come first. He can't be allowed to keep it any longer. Then...my sister." Thor really does have a messed up family, with a brother the god of Mischief and a sister the goddess of Death.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Then I shall await your summons." Stephen says and without even a motion of his fingers, the god is back at the front of the door, hand lifted as if he was about to knock on the door as he was minutes, hours ago... Was he ever inside. Did he even speak to Strange, and yet, in his other hand, between two fingers is a string of ten numbers and below what Stark would describe as an Email address.

Thor has posed:
Thor only smiles. "...My friends must be themselves." And then Thor takes the number, and address of the mail of e, and goes on his way, for there is much to do. After all, until his mission to revive his father is successful, Thor IS still King of Asgard, with all the responsibilities that entails. And off he goes.
