Cast of Characters: Flash, Invisible Woman

Flash has posed:
The red and yellow of the Flash's costume did not really go with the decor. He was currently sat on a brown leather couch in a back room, a waiting room. There were magazines, which were entirely up to date, on the coffee tables. There was a fully stocked refrigerator, a snack bar, a couple of TVs, the audio low, showing what was being recorded currently.

The Flash reached up and scratched the back of his head through the costume, wishing he could take it off. He'd been sitting here for so long, by his standards, and was bored as all hell. "I'm not even supposed to be here today." He had been asked in, as a backup, in case the Invisible Woman didn't show for this episode of the View.

He was being a good sport. It wasn't even scheduled to start for a good half hour or so. But he was here just in case, so he got here early. Looking up at the clock, he could swear it was taking forever for each tick of the clock. "I should suggest we invite some new members of the League. That way someone else could take on this job?" He was speaking aloud, but there was no malice in his voice. He did enjoy the breakfast foods, having eaten eight croissants, among a number of other things.

Invisible Woman has posed:
"You don't sound like you enjoy doing PR work," comes the voice out of no where. There's no one visibly in the room with him. The door to the fridge opens and a bottle of water is pulled out just as Sue Richards fades into view, dropping the psionic ability that was bending the light around her to make her invisible.

She was dressed in her blue form fitting costume. She could have used regular clothes but the people wanted the superhero for this particular interview so she was going to play the role.

She turned to look at Flash, tilting her head to the side as she smiled. "It's a great opportunity. You can use it to help promote causes you support, explain things you are doing for the community, even just make some little ones smile be being here."

Flash has posed:
The Flash had to remind himself, ever so slightly, that she was a married woman. He also had someone he was quite fond of, so it was one of those fleeting thoughts. "Mrs. Richards, or should I call you Invisible Woman?" He was never certain on the protocol for such things, especially dealing with someone who had an heroic identity, but it was a publicly known one.

Nodding his head in agreement, "sure, maybe next time. I'm not actually supposed to be on the show today. I'm the backup guest, just in case." He really didn't look too concerned about it. "I'm glad to help, but you're the one they wanted today. Besides, I've done the show before. In fact, Plastic Man was the backup that day. He may have similar powers to your husband, but a very different guy. I'd never tell him this, but I think the producers were really glad when I showed up, last minute." He winked, arriving last minute was deliberate. "I have a reputation to maintain."

Invisible Woman has posed:
"Sue," she offers instead as an option. "But if you must, Mrs. Richards. I prefer not to stand on formality though." She walks over toward him, extending her hand out for a handshake.

After the shake, should he accept, she uses that hand to open her bottle of water and takes a sip. "Well, they want to see me but that doesn't mean I can't have a surprise guest show up with me," she offers with a mischievious smile. "Then we can both get out there and do some good. Unless you really don't want to."

She considers. "Plastic Man. I've heard of him. His reputation has him as extremely different from my husband. More comedic and less scientific?"

Flash has posed:
The Flash rises from his seated position and shakes her hand, before he sits back down, and gestures for her to take up the other corner of the three seater couch. "All right, Sue. You can call me Flash. Sorry, but I keep a secret id. I'm not sure which is better. Keeping one makes life pretty hectic. Though I'd bet that going public has its own difficulties."

Then nodding his head about Plastic Man, "oh yeah, Plas is probably closer to Deadpool than... Reed." He tries to follow her suggested naming convention. "Not really either, but you know, closer to that side of the force. "Sure, it'd be fun to be a special guest."

Invisible Woman has posed:
"Being open with out identities does have a lot of challenges. There is no going anywhere without being recognized. It's why I snuck in here. There are too many people gathered by the entrance door hoping to get a picture or a word. Not being able to give them all equal time, it makes me feel bad. So I chose to sneak in this time," Sue admits, looking a little embarassed she opted for that. Instead of just facing the fans.

"Yet, it is also easier than trying to make up stories for why I wasn't somewhere for a meeting or event. It's on the news so often when we are fighting foes, at least my location is accounted for this way."

Flash has posed:
"While some might feel sadden that they didn't get your signature, a selfie with you, or whatever they were after, most would understand the complexities of being a celebrity if presented with it. Sometimes I like to speed into crowds like that, borrow their phones, take selfies with them, sign autograph books, and book it, before they even noticed. I am the Flash, and it's a story for them to tell. Though, only when the crowd is really big. I slow down for a smaller group."

He then zipped up, off his seat, grabbing another croissant from the table across the room. He also grabbed a Nestle iced tea, which he opens without fizzing it all over. It didn't have time to shake. "For those of us who keep a secret, there is one incredibly scary thought. When to tell someone you care about? There's no self-help book for that. Believe me, I looked."

Invisible Woman has posed:
"I could come to envy that speed sometimes. At least everyone is happy with your way," Sue says as she sips at her water again. She didn't even see him move. One moment he was there, the next he was there with a tea and croissant. "That...could take some getting used to," she admits with a soft laugh.

At his musing, she tilts her head a little and gives a gentle smile. "You know when you know. It's not going to be a precise moment or a cue that you'll be able to pick up. You'll just feel it. In your heart or your soul, whatever you prefer to think of really. You will recognize it in that moment and take the step. If they are someone that cares for you as well, which I'm certain they would be for you to want to reveal your secret, they will understand and be supportive."

Flash has posed:
"It's got its uses. Okay, it's incredible. But invisibility, and force objects. Those are both things that could come in handy. Is it just the visible spectrum, or..., oh, sorry, didn't mean to pry into one's power set." The Flash had a keen analytical mind behind that gaudy red and yellow mask. Too bad he didn't have a sense of fashion.

Taking her words to heart, he nodded his head. "Hmm, good advice, I appreciate it. Though, in my case, it's even more convoluted. I mean, I have a time and possible dimension displaced relative, Impulse, good kid, do you know him? Does that mean I have to be with his other ancestor, and if I don't, would he cease to exist, like in a fixed timeline, or do we exist in a dynamic one, or a multiverse. Perhaps multiple ones are at work. A person could go crazy thinking about such things."
