Planning for a show.
Date of Scene: 09 October 2019
Location: Club Evolution, Bushwick (Mutant Town)
Synopsis: And the Devil went down to bludhaven
Cast of Characters: Cannonball, Rage, Nightingale, Sunspot, Pixie, Lucifer

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is at the club early before it opens today. There is staff around working and setting up, preparing for tonight. He is there in the middle of things, checking out this or that, making notes if they need to order something cause they are low on it. He has someone checking the sound system, one of Lila's songs playing as he knows what they are supposed to sound like most.

Rage has posed:
As she heads inside once she is past security, Andrea is flanked by her bodyguard, James, who as usual is wearing his suit and dark shades. He sticks close to the popstar as she gives a long look around the club. Today she is wearing a pair of low on the hip skinny jeans with wide flares at the cuffs of her jeans over her combat boots. She has a haltertop that cuts off a bit above her navel to show off a hint of well muscled, tanned flesh. It seems she is dressed a bit more liberal now that she's out as a 'popstar' as opposed to a student. She even has a few streaks of color in her hair as tribute to Dazzler. "Hey, Sam." She says as she bobs her head a bit to one of Lila's songs. "So, this is it, huh? Nice place."

Nightingale has posed:
It was a rare treat to be heading for the club during off hours, but Shannon just wanted -out-. There was only so much of being cooped up inside she could take! So she managed to get clearance to head into town, with the proviso that she head straight to the club and bug Sam for a little while--and try not to stop to heal anybody on the way there! She does run into a little trouble with security, ruffling her wings. "Come on... look, I know you guys got a job to do but please, I just wanted to bug Sam for a little while...." Nope. No luck.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will get word of the winged girl wanting in and will tell security to let her in after he checks the camera on his phone, thankfully Doug showed him how to work all the gadgets he put in. He smiles and walks over to Andrea, "Yea this is the place, found it a while back, used to belong to Quintin, but he was away, Ah talked to Bobby and he bought it and Ah run it. Have had a few hiccups along the way, but with the new beefed up security it has been running smoothly. How you doing?"

Rage has posed:
"I'm doing okay, I suppose. I have a set list prepared for my first night here. James here will pass along the security detail to you and Mister DaCosta on what his team will provide in regards to an exit strategy if necessary." Andrea heads for the stage and hops up on it, then stares out across the expanse of the club as she paces it back and forth, as if to count how many steps she will have to take for specific songs. She rocks back and forth a bit on her feet as she moves, as if she was itching to dance and get a feel for the floor beneath her. "I have eight songs to perform, and my DJ has anout fifteen filler songs for a before, intermission and after. We always like to do a build up, then a cool down."

Nightingale has posed:
Finally! Said winged girl wriggled her way past security, resisting the temptation to make sure that the staff who gave her a hard time got a face full of feathers. Nope, she listens to her better angel for once and just makes her way into the club. She stays on the fringes for the moment, letting her eyes adjust to the lighting. When she spots Sam, she bounds over and gives him a great big hug, and waves to Andrea. "Hi!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hugs Shannon back, and says "Hey there, going cabin crazy?" He ask before looking back to Andrea, and says "Sounds workable, do you want your first time playing here to be a big thing we advertise or just a pop up, here play and have fun, and then advertise your second show here?"

Rage has posed:
"My team can handle that as well. We already have social media lined up and I will send you the screenshots before they go live for approval. I just want to make sure you sign off on everything before it goes hot. Since it's my first time here, I want to have fun with it. Make sure young mutants will have a chance to come see me and not have to hear about it the next day and be disappointed." Andrea says as she moves a bit quicker along the stage now, sliding her feet, bounces forward, does a spin, followed by a drop down and back up manuever. She has a bit of a pop and lock motion to her choreography as she counts quietly under her breath. "Oh. Hey Shannon." She calls over as she spies the wing girl come out of no where to hug Sam.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon nods vigorously. "Ohhh yeah. Didn't want shopping, didn't want to bug anyone to just get the hell out of there for a little while. But yeah, major cabin crazies." She pipes down when she hears some of the discussion between Sam and Andrea, tilting her head to listen for a few moments. A great big smile spreads across her face, one that turns into an outright grin. She spreads her wings to their full span, ruffling them as if clapping with glee. "Hey, Andrea! Planning something big here? Bet it's going to be awesome." Eyeing the stage, she looks down at her hands, and then back at the stage. "Not sure if I'd ever have the guts to."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Shannon and says "Ah still aint ben able to get you up there on karaoke nights, but with time perhaps." he looks over to Andrea, and says "Have them sent to me and Negasonic, hired her to do the social media for the club, figured she was on there all the time, might as well be useful for something other than snarky comments. Maybe what got her to working with the Titans too.

Rage has posed:
"You have Ellie running your social media?" Andrea says with a shift of the jaws. "I hope you audit it often." She jokes as she continues to prowl the stage. To Shannon, she nods. "Mister Guthrie wants me to do a concert here to drive business and some foot traffic. I'm excited to have a chance to perform for other mutants and to make this a special night." Brushing some hair back behind her ear, she gives a few sniffs of the air as if to test it.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon rolls her eyes and very lightly swats Sam on the back with one wing. "I'd choke on stage and you know it." She looks about to say something else, but the walls have ears and all that. Instead, she watches Andrea treading the floorboards, canting her head slightly to one side and smiling. "Well... why not give the space a try right now? You've got the guts and the voice for it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in the club Shannon standing beside him Andrea on stage. It is before opening and the staff are making sure everything is working out well. Andrea's security looking over things as well. "Ah check it now and again, but she is doing a good job. Honestly she is a smart girl, and knows where she can be herself and where to be professional. This is a job she gets paid for, mind you Ah would not be surprised, if she thought something was particularly dumb, she might post it with the work account and then roast it with her own personal one.

Rage has posed:
"Yeah, I can see her doing that." Andrea says with a soft laugh, continuing to survey the entire club from her spot on top of the stage. She moves to the middle and the front of the stage, where she imagines the microphone would be positioned at. "You want me to sing a song right now, acapella?" She asks as she glances over to Shannon, then to Sam. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to test the acoustics. I could load one of my songs up in the blender."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto rarely comes to Evolutions, particularly the weekdays. Sadly his life has become too busy to party like he did when he was a teen. Maybe when he has the X-Corp rolling, and after he graduates college.

But probably he will have some other oh-so-important project to run.

But today he managed to leave the office for a few hours, and knowing Sam would be around, he decided to drop by. He got rid of the tie and the suit's jacket, so he doesn't look too out of place among the usual Mutant Town crowd. "Hey, Sam," he greets. "And good to see you, Andrea. Talking about the concert?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon smiles, bobbing her head in a nod. "Or..." she chews her lower lip. "...I guess maybe depending on the song, if it's one I could fudge a piano part or backup vocals for, you might not have to use the blender." She paled at the suggestion, but with the die cast, was not going to back down. Would she have the guts to follow through, though? She jumps as she hears Roberto, but relaxes when she sees who it is. "Hi there!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie walks over when he sees Roberto, taking the man's hand and pulling him in close for a hug with the other arm "Bro, it is good to see you. I know X-corp is a great thing but it keeps me from getting to see Doug or You very much. Heck had to bribe Doug with my and your apple brown better Ma sent up to get him to promise to sleep at least 5 hours the other night." He looks up to Shannon "If your up for it, sure see how the stage plays for you, and we can either have the blender on, Shannon back up or both."

Rage has posed:
"I don't know. I don't mix business with pleasure." Andrea says rather honestly. "We put hundreds of hours a week into creating the stage, the performance, the band, the choreography, know what I mean? For me this is work. Glee Club is like my chance to do music with my friends and to have fun." She rubs the back of her neck a bit, giving a glance to Sam. "But it's his club though."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon shakes her head quickly, and steps back, folding her wings around in front of her. "It's okay then. Stupid idea. But it'd still be nice to hear you." Would she never learn to keep her mouth shut? She keeps quiet, and settles in to watch and observe the goings-on.

Sunspot has posed:
"Oh, hello, Shannon," replies Roberto at seeing the winged girl is another student. "Are you a singer too or just visiting?" He nods at Sam. He should talk about work with Doug. Those 18 hours+ days he does can't be good for his sanity.

He -sometimes- does the same, but his job tends to be a log more varied and requires plenty human socialization.

"As Andrea said... it is good to enjoy one's work, but I think Doug is taking it too far," comments the Brazilian young man. "We might need to force him to take some vacations."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods to Berto, and says "Yea, making him come to a few sci fi cons with me soon if I have to hog tie him, and drag him along. Got Jay there now to sit on him while I hog tie him if need be." He hmms, and looks over to Shannon and Andrea, and says "How about this, Andrea, give us one of your songs, so you can get the feel, and then the two of you sing one of the songs from glee club after. That way you get the feel for how it is for work, and the other will give you a feel for if you want to bring the glee club down to preform one night."

Rage has posed:
Giving an apologetic smile to Shannon, Andrea looks a bit concerned for a moment. Her shoulders slump a bit as she digs out her phone to pull her set list out. Tapping away at it, she heads over to the mixing booth and pops into it to hook her device up. "Did you mean play around right now? I thought Sam meant during the actual show. I guess maybe I'm a bit confused." She plugs the phone in, then pulls the software up as she taps along the keyboards and touch screens. She knows her way around it seems. "This song is called On Fire from my latest album. It's designed for the clubs." She presses play as the speakers /rumble/ with the sound of electro-bass and electric energy.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon shakes her head vigorously to Sam's suggestion. "It was a silly idea anyways... but thanks." What had she been thinking? She glances over to 'Berto and smiles a bit. "Haven't seen you around for a while. Hope everything's okay." It looks as if she might say something else, but this was neither the time nor the place for it. Perhaps another day. No, she settles in to watch a true artist at their craft, smiling as she looks over at the stage.

Sunspot has posed:
"Oh, I am around," comments Roberto. "My office is just two city blocks away. But yes, I can't spend as much time in the school lately. Still try to drop by every weekend, though." He falls silent when Andrea goes on stage, stepping back to watch and hear her better. He has missed quite a bit of the American music scene in the last few years. Still catching up.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will wait till the song was finished, and says "Oh Shannon on stage, Ah was thinking now, while you get the feeling of the stage. Ah am pretty sure Ah would have to hog tie her to get her on stage. And thats a different kind of show more fitted for Mandipor Ah believe.

Rage has posed:
As she steps out on to the stage with a small mic attached to her shirt and a plug in her ear, Andrea listens to the music as she strikes a pose, waiting for the moment for the beat to hit just right. As she begins to dance, she moves through her choreography perfectly as she has trained for through countless grueling sessions with her dance team and instructor. As she sings, her voice rings out with aggression in her vocals. This isn't Journey she is singing, or Fleetwood Mac. This is /her/ heart in these lyrics.

"Go! Just like you never broke my heart!
Like you never said the words!
Two worlds never further apart!

Go! Life will never be the same!
But I will keep finding my way!
I move on to get to my brither day!"

As she lobs herself along the stage to the thundering beat, the backing vocals comes through the speakers to enhance her voice.

"I'M. ON. FIRE!" (I'm burning up!)

Once the song eventually winds through the lyrics to the end, the song cuts off with a low hum as she walks back along the stage again, as if recounting her steps.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon applauds wildly as the song ends, her eyes wide with awe. "Damn, girl. You are seriously -good-." For once, she smiles, but still gets nowhere near the stage. Nope. Not in this lifetime.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Andrea, and says Very nice." He applauds for her. The club is not open to the public yet, but the crew are preparing for tonight. Andrea is on stage having just sung a song. Shannon and Berto stand near Sam in the dance floor area. "So, hows the stage feel for you?" he will ask Andrea.

Rage has posed:
"It feels fine. I will need to shorten some of the routines of my choreography and maybe not have my entire team of dancers. It's smaller than I am used to, obviously, but the acoustics sound good. I think it will be all good. I don't need to turn this into Madison Square or anything. I'll have fun with it." Andrea says as she motions for Shannon to join her on stage, giving her an amused grin. "Come on up here and take a look around. See how it feels without people staring at you."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn had heard that Andrea was getting ready for a performance, and she wanted to help. So here she is, albeit a bit late! "Wooow, Andrea, every time I hear you, you blow me off my feet a little more!" she exclaims cheerfully as she steps in, catching just the last few minutes of her song. Glancing around, she sees she is not alone. "Soooo. Need any help? Yanno, backup dancers..Or singers?" she's only too eager to be a part of this somehow.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon shakes her head as she hears Megan, saved for the moment from the embarrassment of being on stage. "Already tried that. Didn't work too well." Her smile is wry as she wiggles a wing at the other girl. "She's incredibly good, though. The full concert ought to be something pretty amazing, especially since this was just a sound test."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto applauds Andrea's performance too, smiling at the singer. "I think it is going to be the best performance seen in this club so far. At least until we finally convince Dazzler to come," he -looks- at Sam, that told him it would happen 'soon'.

Hey, he was also looking forward for it, too. So few mutants were famous for the right reasons when he was a student.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will look to Shannon and Meg, and says "Ok both of you on stage, let Andrea show you a few things. you both like music, you have a chance to learn a bit from a professional and someone who is very good and experiences. " He looks to Berto, and says "She and Lila both supposed to play but Lila had someoen drop out on her last minute, and Dazzler is finishing the tour with her.

Rage has posed:
"It's cool, Megan. I'm already set up and good to go. But I'm making sure that you and Shannon and a few others have VIP seats though to watch so you aren't in the crowd. That way you can just really enjoy the performance." Andrea says as she continues to pace the stage a bit, much like an animal would, even though she is still counting her steps. "I really want to meet her so bad. Dazzler is literally the air I breathe." She pauses and gives a smile to the two girls. "You coming up here or what?"

Lucifer has posed:
As the crew continue to arrive and set up, there's a 'stray' among them. Lucifer is a sort that ends up places, and there isn't always a good explanation for it. Security just assumed he belonged, or just happened to be looking at someone else: that sort of thing. Lucifer comes along with a trio of men and women carrying band equipment, looking very much like some style of manager or investor, laughing with them. He comes along, eyes scanning with steady interest to take in the décor of the club.

The interest is overly intent, perhaps: like a mogul checking out a house he might fancy turning into a golf course: there's that edge of 'vision' to it. To those familiar with other club owners, Lucifer is easy to recognize as very eccentric owner of another club, Lux. He might not belong in this room, though he acts like it. Lucifer's gaze falls on the stage, and those near it, though, catching on the group discussing music. "I'll show you my lyrics now, we've arrived," suggests one of the band members at Lucifer's elbow, with hope, seeking his attention.

Nightingale has posed:
"Samuel Guthrie, I swear I'm gonna hang you up by your toes if you try to... HEY...." Shannon puts up something of a fight, white, sweeping wings outspread and ruffled more than a little bit, but with considerable 'nudging' from Sam, she finds herself on stage pretty much whether she likes it or not. She shoots him a look that positively screams 'you are in SO much trouble when we get home'. A sheepish grin is given to Andrea, and she shrugs a little. "Oookay... so now what?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn laughs at Shannon, tugging on her arm, leadnig them on stage. "C'mon! It'll be fuuun!" and with a little help from Samuel, they get her up on stage. "Ooh, this is just a test run, huh? I wonder where Dazzler's been lately anyway? I haven't seen or heard about her in a while. But we can still have fun..Right?" she sighs, "I just wish I could perform live some day too, start a band..The whole deal..."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto smirks at Sam, "just giving you a hard time, I am sure they will come to play eventually. But chances are they have performances elsewhere till the end of the year or even longer." And in Lila's case they are probably in some other galaxy. "After all you got this club less than a year ago. But it is still pretty important we get all the great mutant singers here as much as possible."

Nothing against human bands either. As long as they don't suck. Roberto gives Lucifer and his friends a passing glance. Failing to recognize him, but taking note on his outfit. Unusual and expensive. But artists often have money to burn and looks are important.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over as well. the other man seem to think he may recognize the man as he has done some research on the other local clubs, but when Shannon is slow to get on stage and he has to give her a bit of help picking her up and placing her there. He will get distracted enough not to ask just yet. He looks to Berto and says "Guido loves tormenting me but does at least keep me in the loop.

Rage has posed:
"Now?" Andrea says to Megan and Shannon. "You just breathe. That's the first step when you get on stage. You take a deep breath in, and you focus on the first song. You don't worry about the crowd, or the lights, or the atmosphere. You just focus on the first song, and if you did your job in practicing, everything becomes muscle memory. Because you just did ninety hour weeks grinding in the booth, with your dance instructor, with your team, then another twenty hours two days before the concert going over the stage and the set list. You just trust yourself." As she speaks, the hair along her arms stick up quickly, her skin goosebumping as her voice slows down. Her eyes track the crowd until they instinctively land upon Lucifer, staring at him.

Lucifer has posed:
"I did promise, and I always keep my word," Lucifer agrees to the band member serenely, peeling his eyes off the stage, moving aside towards the seats in the second row at the end. Lucifer sits with ease and style, reclining a touch, and accepts the scrap of paper the young lady presses into his hands. "A lot of angst here," he observes thoughtfully, without judgement. "I'd rewrite this second paragraph. It just screams 'don't take me seriously,'" Lucifer suggests, leaning in to show her. "Shorten your chorus, you want to punch, not beat them to death slowly." She takes the critique well, and nods at him, sitting back with her lyrics.

Lucifer dangles his hands over the seat in front of him, sitting forwards; his manner is open, smiling, as if he were some VIP there for a pre-show. Expensive rings shine off the stage lights at the seat back. He has clear, obvious attention on Andrea and Shannon: but they //are// on stage. It isn't peculiar, though it is an intense look. A lot of it is right back into Andrea's eyes as she stares at him, and he smiles back at her, relaxed. His behavior meshes with a talent scout.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon whispers a few things to Andrea, and when the music is found... it starts with an eerie few notes from a piano, and something akin to the whooshing of a wind on a lonesome cliff. But the words are anything but weak--and surprisingly, neither is the voice. It's a silky smooth alto that comes out of Shannon, backed with more emotion than she's dared to show within the past few weeks--at least in public.

"Fuck the rules
I got nothing to lose
Call me a fool
But I got nothing to prove

If life's an ocean
I'm in the deep end
Swimming free from the fears that will drown me
Don't try to catch me
If I jump in
And don't try to fix what's not broken

I won't stop
I'm gonna live forever
Burn it up
Like nothing ever mattered
Wondering if it takes me higher
Dancing in a ring of fire

Shut my eyes
I know it's now or never
Ride or die
I let my heart surrender
Rise up
I was born a fighter
Dancing in a ring of fire...."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn smiles at Shannon, "Don't worry, it's a piece of cake. What are you afraid of, anyway?" she nods to Andrea as she climbs onto the stage, peering around, "Ooh wow, is that another band getting ready to sing too?" are they mutants too or humans? Lucifer looks vaguely familiar from somewhere. Is he a manager of another nightclub? "cool, this place is getting big.." she nods to Andrea. "Ready when you are!" And then Shannon's already starting to sing and she joins in, her voice bright and soprano, a nice pairing with Shannon's silky alto as she sings along..

"Dancing in a ring of fire.
Dancing in a ring of fire.
Dancing in a ring of fire.
Dancing in a ring of fire.

Fuck the world
I don't need to be cured
I'll keep my word
I'm gonna walk where the lines burn.~~

Rage has posed:
Giving a nod of her head, Andrea keeps her eyes glued to Lucifer as she stares him down, as if there was something electric passing between the pair. Ever have the feeling that someone just stepped on your grave? She can feel that deep into her soul. She finally tears her gaze away as she takes a few steps away from Shannon and Megan to set the music up for them, then listens intently to the lyrics. A proud smile breaks along her face as she applauds once they are done. "Great job! That sounded amazing. We are so gonna be killing Glee Club when we put on our first performance."

Sunspot has posed:
Roberto claps at Shannon and Megan's singing. "Well, look at that..." he elbows Sam. "Maybe you should give them a show too," he suggests. "The Winged Wonders Band? I bet the..." and then his cellphone starts ringing.

"I know I should have left this thing in the office," he grumps, glancing at the number. "Droga... this must be important. Sorry, Sam. You are on your own. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." He heads out.

Lucifer has posed:
It's like they're singing to the devil, with those wonderful lyrics. Enraptured, Lucifer enjoys the song - until some of the band carry a big drumset right in front of him, blocking his view.

"//REALLY//!? Right then, you decide to do that?" Lucifer yells at them, with a spark of a dark annoyance vibrating under the angry outburst. Not surprisingly, the drum gets nearly dropped, and there's a bang of sound as it impacts a seat.

Lucifer shakes off the sudden thunderous annoyance, and instead stands up, applauding the performance. "Wonderful, ladies," he calls, warm. "Spoke to me deeply." No doubt.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is a bit surprised at the song and noticing the look between Andrea and the man, Sam's brow raises and his protectiveness kicks in a bit. He will start to head over and at the man's outbust his brow will raise again. He will continue over, and says "Pardon me, but may Ah ask, who you are?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon turns a little red, ducking her head. But she snaps her wings outwards and takes a small bow, stepping well back to let Megan take center stage and the applause. "These two are the real songstresses." She tucks her wings in behind her neatly, settling them into position so their appearance is minimized for the moment.

Andrea's intense look towards Lucifer is not lost on her, but her eyebrows really raise when Sam steps in. She keeps very, -very- quiet, something telling her that perhaps caution might not be a bad idea.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn is happy for the attention and she grins and bows, blowing kisses to her audience. "Thank you, thank you! Winged wonders? That's not a bad band name.." she winks at Andrea and Shannon, "See? Shannon? You did great! Quite being so modest!" she does notice Lucifer and his crew in the back, arching a brow, "Hey, you guys gonna play here soon too? That's cool, can't wait to hear y'all!" she doesn't seem to get a vibe from them.

Rage has posed:
"His name is Lucifer. He runs Club Lux. He's a big deal here in New York City." Andrea says to Sam as she lets her gaze drift back towards the man. "My team has been back and forth with his team a few times about me potentially playing a show there, though we've always had timing issues." She schools her expression a bit as she feels the stares upon her from her friends, followed by another small sniff of the air. Twice. Subtle. Feral.

"It's nice to meet you in the flesh." She says to him as she takes a few steps to the edge of the stage, then hops off it to land with a thump of boots against concrete. "Interesting colonge you are wearing. It's spicy."

Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer had stood up to do his standing ovation, but he pauses the rest his hands on the seat as Sam comes over. "Oh, hello. You are the owner?" Lucifer asks Sam, with a little squint of his dark eyes. He offers a hand, friendly, all smiles. "You /may/ ask. So polite. Lucifer. Morningstar." Andrea pipes up, and Lucifer just about //beams// at her. "Oh, I do appreciate the introduction. But yes. I run the club Lux, in Bluudhaven, though //presently// I am here with the band, to support their foray into clubs." All of it is said on the same breath, there's no big dark 'reveal' to any of it. It is little wonder most people think 'Lucifer' is stage name, or that he's kidding. Lucifer tosses his head towards the band discussing their staging to the side of the stage, indicating those he came in with. There is nothing but honesty to Lucifer's explanation.

"/My/ club is very low in numbers of angels," Lucifer does observe towards whoever: maybe Sam. It wasn't aimed. Cheery. "Although I don't envy you the protestors. Makes the exterior queue a hassle, I'd imagine." His tone is not sarcastic: he's very pleasant. There isn't an attack here. "I like what you're doing. Paying my respects."

"Happy to give you my contact, if you're enjoying the cologne. Italian maker, very talented, has a number of different scents," Lucifer offers to Andrea. "I'm quite a fan, love your music, Ms. Jackson; alas, I did not bring any of my collection for autographs, so that will have to be another time, if you are willing."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will shakes the hand, and says "Owner no, you just missed him, but Ah an the Manager here." He tells the other man. "Interesting name." He adds, not seeming to be a fan, but known plenty of folks with odd stage and code names 'Ah'm Samual Guthrie, and we don't get a lot of protests actually, those usually happen a bit farther out so, they don't have to look at us, as they chant. " He hmms a bit and says "It would be nice if when you come to a club if your wanting to come in before it is open you ask before hand."

Nightingale has posed:
"These two are the angels, sir." Shannon extends a wing towards Andrea and Megan almost reflexively, even as she gestures towards them. "They're the ones with the golden windpipes." The name does raise her eyebrows, but she makes nothing of it in the moment. Could 'Lucifer' be just a stage name? There were always possibilities. "I have yet to see Andrea refuse an autograph... should have seen her when we were out shopping one time, she was ready to autograph a slew of her music and drop it into the music shop at random just to make people smile when they found the surprise after the fact."

Rage has posed:
"The protestors won't come out here in Mutant Town. They just send their foot soldiers instead under the guise of religious nuts." Andrea says as she brushes her hair away from her face as she stares at the tall, incredibly handsome man before them. She can feel something in her heart pick up, as if her pulse was starting to race and there was a hint of a low rumble in her throat.

"I am hardly an angel, Shannon. Though you and Megan sure come close with your never ending optimism." She says with a smile over to her friend with a glance of her eyes. She reaches into her back pocket to take out a magic marker, uncapping it as she steps forward towards the club owner. Reaching out for one of his hands, she turns it over so that she can swipe the marker along the top of his skin to mark her name upon it.

"There. Now you have my name."

Lucifer has posed:
"Thank you. I chose it," Lucifer answers Sam cheerfully when complimented about his name. While true, the answer may further delude everyone into the nature of his identity. Which is funny, in a manner, to Lucifer.

"Oh? Of course. I'm happy to call ahead, I wouldn't want to be impolite; do you have a card? I'll perhaps have my manager call - well, is it you, Mr. Guthrie?" The managers can chat. Makes sense. It isn't meant as insulting, just checking. Lucifer comes out from behind the seats, drawing a flask from a pocket as he comes out. There's no shame or show to it, but he's clearly going to have some.

Lucifer wings his big charismatic smile to Shannon as she addresses him, leaning in towards her attentively, as if she were, temporarily, the only thing in the world he had his attention on. His dark eyes intense, highly focused. Often people react like they are headlights - except it's dark temptations in there, not bright. "Oh, don't sell yourself short, mm?" Lucifer coaxes, warm. "Seems to me song is part of your soul. Important to express it," he encourages, open and supportive.

Andrea's entrance and reach for his hand is fine, though his brows lift up, he allows her to have his hand to draw on the palm. "I do indeed," Lucifer chuckles, with a sudden laugh, and grin at her. "A pity it is so temporary. And I'll be tempted, now, not to wash my hands; naughty." He clicks his tongue once, but seems pleased, amused by the fun.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon ducks her head shyly, her face going just a tiny bit rosy. "Perhaps one day. But when I do it'll be my own music, not someone else's. And that... is not something I think will fit well in many venues." Okay, so maybe it was pretty well near impossible to hold back a little bit of a smile, her expression softening. Harder lines of doubt and worry, at least for the moment, fade, betraying the youth lying beneath it all. "You know, if you're a fan, you could have that done as a tattoo..." she remarks, nodding towards where Andrea has signed.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will frown a bit but does pull out his card, and offers it to the man, and says "Yes, the girls are all very sweet, and Ah have thought about offering them jobs but have to make sure of the times, they can work, as they are all underage." Yes he hits the last word with a bit of more emphasis than is required. If you thought here was an issue from what ah have heard Bludhaven is much more dangerous, would not want to see them endangered.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks..."Lucifer..? As in like, the devil? Seriously!?" she laughs nervously. Cuz that's either a coincidence or...You never know these days." she shrugs, peering at Andrea curiously, "Sooo, where's the rest of your team? WIll they be here for the performance? Cuz if you need extras...." yeah, she's still playing that angle. Yup yup. Megan does laugh nervously at the term angel. "Angel? Nah, I'm just a fairy, these two other girls are the angels. Haha. Bludhaven club huh? That's cool, i might drop by sometime. Who's your band? Are you gonna play here? I'd love to hear 'em.." of course depending on Sam, whom she glances at questioningly..

Rage has posed:
"I'm emancipated and considered a legal adult." Andrea says with a smirk towards Sam. "It's how I've been living on my own in New York City for the last two years. Gotta love New York rules."

"Very naughty. Give my manager a call and we'll set something up if you are still interested in having me play in Bludhaven, now that my European tour is over. Though I'm not sure how much of your crowd will enjoy my pop-rock music."

The idea of a tattoo does cause her to giggle as she caps her marker. "My team has already been here, Megan. They'll be back tonight for final prep and set up before the concert. I actually need to head off and meet with them for a final walk through."

Lucifer has posed:
"Wouldn't /that/ be something?" Lucifer chuckles to Shannon, brows lifting at the idea of a tattoo. "I'm generally up for bodily maiming: no pain, no gain, eh, though it might be inappropriate to show you what I already have, right now," Lucifer says, a twinkle in his eyes. Perhaps it's in a place that's private.

"Underage? Ah! So hard to tell these days," Lucifer says to Sam, seeming to take the hint. "In a few years, then." He takes a drink from his flask, the scent of his expensive whiskey coming with it. He does slip it away, though.

Megan gets Lucifer laughing along with her, "Yes, devil, though I admit I am //not// always serious about everything," he agrees, as if it were all a fun joke. Maybe it is. "That wouldn't be much of a life, particularly an immortal one, serious all the time," jokes the man. His manner is playful, but relaxed. He doesn't care if he's being judged as crazy. It's fine.

"I can read the fine print. I'll get out of your hair," Lucifer says kindly to Sam, then begins to stride away out of the club. "I may return for the proper show, though. No pressure, ladies: you're excellent!" Lucifer calls back as he goes, his 'signed' hand lifted in a sort of wave-salute. And then he's gone.

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon just laughs a little bit, the sound light and silvery, her smile reaching those pale blue eyes. There's a little bit of a twinkle in their depths, and she shakes her head. "It'll probably be a few years before I see -those- tattoos. I'm only sixteen." New shades of red could easily be discovered by an artist in her face, and now the hue seeps bit by bit into the tips of her ears. "But music is fit for any age. Maybe there's a bit of work to do when I get home. It was nice to meet you... are we to guess you won't be a stranger he..."

...and then, just like that, he's gone. Her brows furrow, and she checks to make sure that he and the band are gone, completely. She hops down off of the stage and ambles on over to Sam, whispering something to him, her brows furrowing ever so slightly.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods to Andrea, shivering a bit at Lucifer's words. "Oh. Hah. Isn't that...NIce? Well gosh look at the time, I gotta go. I look forward to hearing you play, Andrea! And you too, Mister Lucifer, if you're in town!" well, maybe, maybe not. She grins and waves at the others before rushing out to class.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie watches the man go, and then the girls. He looks to Shannon and says "Ah don't trust him, he might have just been here trying to get some of the guys who play here at his club, but I am ok with that. don't ;like the way he was looking at you girls.
