One of Those Weeks

Location:	Conner's Apartment. NYC.
Synopsis:	Conner and his friends talk about the death of Superman

Superboy has posed:
Lately things are not going great in Conner's life. First Rose left for mysterious business without giving him details. Oh, not the first time. But when she does that he always worries she is doing something crazy and probably illegal. So illegal Conner wouldn't approve, at least.

Still, she is a big girl. She can handle anything this side of Doomsday. And Conner has college, crime-fighting and the Outsiders to keep busy. But then Superman went... strange. And Conner could so nothing to find out, much less fix the problem. And now he is DEAD. So yeah, bad couple months. Pretty bad if he has to pick up the cape. It is a heavy cape.

But it is Saturday, and he tries to check up with friends all Saturdays. Yesterday he called Cait and Tim and invited them for dinner (they -know- it means Conner will call for pizzas - they know they can bring their own food) and to talk. He needed advice.

Then, just this morning, Rose texted him saying she was coming back.

Conner... will order more pizza. This will be interesting.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake comes over to the house. Tim is not having the best of times with that fight that happened. He shows up a bit early as is his practice knocking on the door to Conner's place.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson shows up in a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a pair of impeccable white trainers. Her eyepatch is hidden slightly behind a pair of sunglasses and the shock of her white hair contrasts sharply against the black hood. She showed up early, of course, because that's the kind of person she is, checking the place to make sure it's clear of surveillance of threat. She has a habit of drawing the wrong kind of attention, but she's also adept at escaping it when she sees fit.

When she sees Tim arrive, she slides out of the shadows across the street and crosses over quickly, her hands in her pockets as anticipates the Boy Wonder seeing her coming. "Hey," she says. Eloquent as always.

Superboy has posed:
Conner tends to expect Robin by the window. And Rose... oh, it varies too much, but rarely knocking at the door. So he thought Caitlin would arrive first and blinks when he sees Tim in civvies but with a mask. "You..." he starts, with a grin. Then he hears Rose and peers outside. "Oh. Rosie... looking good. Come in, guys," he opens the door wide, gesturing them to come in. "Cait is not yet here. Probably working even a Saturday. You know her." Well, Rose does.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods over to Rose, and says "Hey." He looks to Conner nodding and just steps around him heading to the couch and letting the other two have a moment that he aint in the middle of.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson makes her way in and pulls out her hood, shaking a long white ponytail out to spill down her shoulder, "Con," she says and, tentatively, offers him a hug. Not that she's reluctant, she's just...still not great at hugging. Feels weird, man. She knew her habit of disappearing probably stressed him out. But she also knew she didn't know how else to be. She dealt with things the way she dealt with them, usually with bloody violence. He was better off not seeing it. "You get a meatball and pepperoni for me?" she asks, flopping down onto a seat.

Superboy has posed:
Conner knows a bit of why Rose is like that and tries not to judge. The hug is well-received, though, "missed you," he murmurs. Then he closes the door and guides the pair to the living room. Not much of interest there. He is a college guy. Furniture is mostly Ikea. The place is clean, but probably that is because he has super-speed and spent 30 seconds on it. The lack of gaming consoles would be surprising, but they know Conner enhanced senses made him lose interest in computer games.

"Rose told me she was back this morning, Robin," mentions Conner. "I hope you don't mind. I mean, if you want to talk about Batman. I really need to talk about Superman with you. Without both of you."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to the other man, and says "Pretty sure neither of them are dead." He tells the other man. If superman was dead, there would be a body, thinking he is hold up somewhere healing up." He does not go into what the detail is with batman.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson flexes her fingers as she stretches out, kicking a foot up, "You two and your super-dads," she says, shaking her head, "Of course they're not dead. If they were dead, -my- dad probably would've killed them and he's on vacation right now. Somewhere. We're not talking anyway," she says, shrugging.

"You two worry too much."

Superboy has posed:
"The funeral is in two days!" States Conner, looking... worried. He is rarely worried, it is very un-Conner. "If he is not dead, then he has been kidnapped. I have to do something... we have to." Well, maybe not Rose. But if it was her dad she would be on the warpath herself. Or maybe drunk and celebrating. Her relationship with her dad is weird!

"And now Metropolis is on fire, because a lot of idiots think Superman was the only thing stopping them from their dumb plots," extra work for the Justice League. But really... criminals can be very dumb. Wonder Woman is going to be much harsher with them than Superman ever was. "People is getting hurt, Robin."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to Conner, and says "Kidnapped I am not so sure about, something is controlling him. I am sure it has to be something to do with those Vampire looking bite he had when we brought him back. I think something was put inside him and is controlling him.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson gives a half-yawn, "Good. They probably need to have their butts kicked. Superman's too soft on them," she says. When Tim mentions the vampire bite, she chuckles, "Gee, ya think. If someone has a vampire bite, you should definitely, like, put a GPS tracker on them, at a minimum. Or get like a magic guy. Is there a super magic guy?" she wonders. She assumes there must be, but she doesn't always know who all the players are. Superhero society was insular and often annoying.

Superboy has posed:
Conner hehs. He doesn't disagree with Rose about more butt kicks for Metropolis rogues. Particularly right now, when they are rampaging like lunatics. "The League has mystics. Zatanna and that Willow girl. Maybe we should ask them tomorrow?" He looks at Tim, then to Rose. Then he sighs. "Sorry, guys. I need some advice. But I have pizza, too." He goes to the oven to pull them out. Then finds plates for them all.

"And if you have troubles in Gotham, I can also help, okay?" He says to Robin.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to Conner, and says "Appreciated , but Batman will be out kicking butt again real soon, and the rest of us are going to put our feet down hard for next week or so make sure they realize nothing has changed in Gotham." He looks to them, and says "The magic types were looking after him while he healed up, but something had to be missed."

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson pops up from the seat and wanders into the kitchen, looking for something to drink, "Do you have any booze, Con, or are you afraid Superman's going to come by and give you a lecture?" she mutters, going through the cabinets.

"You know my usual advice is shooting them in the face, but you never take it," she says.

Superboy has posed:
There are beers. Because Rose left them there last time. Alcohol barely does anything to Conner.

"He never comes here," he comments grumpily. "Oh hey, I take your advice seriously!" And seriously does not let her shoot anyone in the face when they are fighting. Usually!

To Tim. "There are sodas too. Also, vampires... ugh. I met some of them the other day. Still, the magic types would have known, right? Vampires are a known thing for the sorcerer gang. Gotta be something else."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well I call it Vampire, cause that is what it looked like but it happened on Apokolips. So may not have been an actual vampire, also may have been used to flush something into his system. I don't know as much about Apokolips as I wish I did. I am wondering if our freeing him was to easy."

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson bahs, "Alien vampires are still vampires," she says. The cracks open a beer, taking a long drink and running a hand back through her white hair. She's taken off her sunglasses, making her eyepatch a bit more obvious, "And, even if it was, what're you going to do? NOT free him? Don't make yourself play chess, Timmy. Usually it's just checkers," she says.

She gives a softer look at Conner, "I know, I know," she says. "I'm just...teasing." she says, as if she's not sure she should even do that.

Superboy has posed:
"It wasn't easy, it almost killed all of us," point out Conner, who was there when the League thought they had freed Superman, months ago. Then again, he missed the reasons why Superman had been in Apokolips. They never talked about it.

He is opening a can of soda when Rose returns. "It is okay, Rosie," he knows she is trying to help. Just not good at helping. But intentions count. "What... happened to your eye?" He asks, frowning again. She usually heals very fast, after all.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will stay silent for a bit to this and hmms. He will move to get himself a soda, and some pizza. He seems to be thinking about what happened and pondering what caused it.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson looks levelly at Conner, "We aren't ballerinas, Conner, and not all of us are invulnerable. Shit happens," she sighs. "It'll heal or it won't," she shrugs. Essentially saying she didn't want to talk about it, at least not right now.

She takes another drink of her beer, "I'm not sure I want to go to other planets. This one's bad enough."

Superboy has posed:
"Apokolips is the worst," points out Conner. "They invaded us a couple years ago, there were thousands of dead. For what I heard the place makes Gotham look positively cheery." Beat, "sorry, Rob."

Rose gets a concerned glance. There will be questions later for sure. For now he just shoves a pizza her way. "I was in a few cool places when I was with the Ravers. But still will pick Hawaii over them."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Pretty awfull place, even makes Bludhaven look good." He offers as a joke to add to Conners comment "Not been to a lot of other planets, but was there when they went to get him back.
