Rogue has posed:
Rogue is hanging out at the music center tonight. She'd finished her class work for the day and had come here to relax and get away. The owners of this store are good friends of hers, one of them had gone to Xavier's in fact, but he'd moved away and was in college now in Boston. His siblings still run the store and they're big fans of hers, as she is of them.

As of this moment, Rogue is in the back corner of the store where there is a sitting area. Some of the regulars often play music back here, and they had been doing just that moments ago. Rogue is seated in one of the sofa chairs with her phone in her hands and her eyes on its screen, her gloves are draped over the chair's arm beside her.

Between her sofa chair and the other is a table with some cups all gathered around it, and a selection of Chinese food boxes, apparently theyd' all had a good dinner here too by the looks over it!

Shadowcat has posed:
The door opens up and the early 70s step inside. They step inside in the form of Kitty Pryde, wearing bell bottom, hip hugger jeans with a belt made of large white ovals hooked together, a white top with a calfskin vest over it with fringes hanging down from it. A tie-died scarf with a peace sign on it is tied around her head, while Aquarius symbol earrings hang from her ears, and a peace symbol hangs from a necklace. The John Lennon oval sunglasses might give Rogue just a moment's pause in recognizing her, until Kitty breaks out in that huge smile of hers.

She slips her phone back into her back pocket. Probably tracked Rogue down with it. Kitty makes her way over, a bit of a bounce in her step, and holds out her hands for Rogue to take a look at Kitty. "Well, what do you think? Good for Halloween?" Kitty asks.

She does a little runway twirl, one coached by Janet van Dyne so it's actually pretty darn good. "I was thinking this, or else maybe Nurse Chappel from Star Trek. Though I'd have to wear a blond wig then," Kitty says.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's phone is definitely on the X-Men track list, its probably pretty easy to find her if one of the team really wants to based on that. Its GPS connected and all.

When Kitty arrives, Rogue is just typing something on her phone, wearing a green beanie on over her head, holding her two-toned hair down around her face, a green and white baseball-tee shirt is on her upper body, clinging to her trim and fit form, and a pair of jeans with simple boots on her lower form.

She spares a glance up when Kitty approaches, spots her attire and then just... laughs. "Far out, Moon child." She responds to the other before grinning and looking down to her phone in her lap again. "I don't know what the hell a Nurse Chappel is, but I dig this outfit. But not for Halloween, I think you should dress like that for forever."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty giggles happily at being called Moon Child. "Oh, that's perfect," says the girl who took everyone to the Moon. Thankfully without fatalities, if a near thing. "Moon Child it is," Kitty says, laughing warmly.

She moves over to take a seat in a chair next to Rogue, leaning forward to eye the remains of the Chinese. "Nurse Chappel... blond nurse in original Star Trek. Dr. McCoy's assistant, with the uniform that has the skirt that ends so high up her thighs I'm surprised we don't know what color underwear Star Fleet hands out," Kitty says.

She lets out a bit of a breath. "Things have been... kind of rough lately, actually. Figured I'd stop and get a costume and maybe it'd cheer me up. And then come find you and... hell I don't know if you need cheering up, but if you did, then two for the price of one."

Kitty asks, "Any ideas what you're going to go as this year?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just snickers at the words from the other. "Star Trek skirts. I remember those from the movie when I was a kid. I saw that movie at the theater back home... one'a the only ones I ever saw in theater until recently." The JJ Abrams one, likely the second or third once since she was only 2 when the first one came out.

Her texting is finished and she drops her phone down onto the arm of the leather sofa chair, the same kind that Kitty just dropped down into. Her hand reaches over to take her drink and she lifts it up to sip it.

The store owners are over on the other side of the store, its a big building too, tending to customers.

"There's some food still here if you're hungry. Just about everything you could want from the Panda Express down the street." She states with a slight smirk. "I haven't even looked at costumes, or thought about it... I don't know. Whatever's hot'n sexy when I go look for'em, thats probably what I'll go with. Why are you feelin' down?" She asks then.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty picks up one of the containers. "I could stand to pick. I haven't eaten," she says. Kitty grabs a pair of unused chop sticks, slipping them between her fingers and using the things competently to get her spicy chicken from the container.

"Ah. Well, Pete's in a bad way, medically. Improving but, I've got him over in the Avengers medical bay for treatment. And, then there was the Superman Memorial. At which I found out Jason's father was apparently in the area when Superman and Batman fought. And he's in bad shape too." Kitty takes a bite of the chicken and then leans back, shaking her head.

"I'm so sick of medical bays and hospital rooms," Kitty says. "I need to head back to Peter. But I don't want to go in there with a long face, and frankly I was crying my eyes out about Mr. Wayne after hearing he was in worse shape than he is. He's stable at least."

KItty shakes her head. "I don't want to bring things down though. I mean, I came over here trying to do the opposite after all. So Jester is awesome. He's just adorable. You need to come see him when we're back home. And maybe throw something at the three girls across the hall who like to oggle him. Oggle Peter. Not Jester. Though, actually they love him too, but that part is ok."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue is sipping her drink when she hears all of this reports of injuries to people she knows, and knows... sorta, more than she realizes actually.

"Who the heck hurt Peter?" She asks, baring in mind that the Southern Belle has no idea that he is Spider-man. She's never even met Spider-man in person while in-costume. "Who do I gotta punch now?" She asks then. "Just point me at them..."

A breath is drawn in then and she sets her drink down. "I mean, I'm glad ya'll are enjoyin' Jester, he's a great little guy. I miss him, I mean I miss Aces too... but I'm glad they got good homes right now. The best they could ask for, really and I'll admit, I'm curious t'meet these girl neighbors of yours... but yeah, what happened to Pete?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty has been walking this line with people's identities for much of the year. Keep thing secrets as well as she can. "He came down with something," Kitty says, just having said he was in a bad way medically. "We were in the city and so it seemed like the best place to take him, close by and they let us in. Well, turns out, it's really nasty. There's a specialist looking at him," she says.

Kitty does her best to hide how much she doesn't like being more open about it. But some secrets are not hers to tell. Neither ailing person's, for that matter.

"Well, soon as he's better we'll have you over for a cookout up on the roof. At least they aren't sunbathing up there anymore now it's cold," Kitty says. "One of them is the niece of this nice older couple who own the building. So, ah... no dropping cars on them or anything," the brunette says with a faint laugh. "Hey, how's your dad doing by the way?" Kitty asks.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just raises her arms up to rest on the chair's soft arms, her bare hands patting gently on their fronts where the leather curves downward. "Well that is a little unsettling, ain't it?" She asks. "Bein' in a mecha like New York and contractin' a super serious bug? Thats a giant health hazard, yeah? Are the Avengers all over it then?" She assumes they are, she knows all too well how they operate down there in Manhattan.

There's a look given across the store and a smirk at the part about dropping cars on people. "Come on. I'm around annoying girls all the time, and I never kill any of them, OR hurt any of them... well, not all of them. I've pushed a few, just t'get'em to shut their fat yaps. But thats about it, a good shove from me makes most of'em pipe right down." She motions toward one of the owners across the way, behind the counter. "Robbie there's got a super bitch girlfriend. But... we make due, mostly."

A breath is taken in deep and Rogue drops one hand back to her lap to stroke at the top of her left thigh gently. "He's okay." She says about her dad. "He's struggling with being more locked out of the... Otherland more than he'll admit to me. I was over there at his apartment this morning. He's tryin' t'put a brave face on for me. He's... god, he's nice. It's weird bein' around him still."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty shakes her head and says, "No no, this was where you were supposed to say, Kitty, are you sure, they probably really could use a car dropped on them. But just like a Mini Cooper or something like that. And I'd say, well, ok, just maybe not from too high of a height."

She flashes a grin back at Rogue and gets a bit more of the spicy chicken. "This is decent for Panda Express," she says, chewing another bite while she listens to Rogue speak on her father. "It's nice having family around. And, yeah, weird too. I mean that's par for the course I think. Most of us kind of got used to each other being our family."

Kitty leans back in the chair again and lets out a breath. "I'd love for life to feel like it's back to normal. It's been so crazy for months now."

Rogue has posed:
"Yeah it is good." Rogue says of the food with a soft smile. "I asked the guy behind the counter super sweet if he'd get me the freshest stuff, rather than the light-baked stuff that'd been there who knows how long."

"I don't think life's ever gonna get normal for people like us, Pryde." She says with a slight smile then over to her friend. "I mean, I get my dad back... but my mom is still missin', and my Dad doesn't wanna go back home because he says he'll get put in jail for her death, says they won't believe him that she was taken by a 'mystical portal.' And yeah. He's probably right." Rogue's left hand comes up to pulls some of her white hair out of her face and adjust the brim of her dark wool cap on her head.

"Last time I went t'Meridian was t'get my dog back... two years ago? I ended up chased outta the city with Doctor Strange in my car and a buncha cops on our tail. He refused to help. He said 'You gotta face your own tests, Anna Marie'." She does a pretty baller Stephen Strange mocking impression too.

Shadowcat has posed:
"I'm picturing some of the music from Smokey and the Bandit playing," Kitty says of the visual of the pair of htem fleeing in the car. "I need to go over some of the cataloging of his items with him. I only have a little time to spend on it. Though now I'm staying with Pete in his apartment, I only spend the night there, maybe once every other week?" Kitty says.

"But, I'll keep helping out just to be able to have the mirror available." She finishes that bit of chicken and then sits back, putting her feet up. She's got some sandals to go with the outfit. "I thought about doing disco chick instead. You would rock that lock," Kitty says, glancing over at her friend.

"Ok. I should probably go get out of this getup before some cop stops me to frisk me for drugs," she says, chuckling. "We need to figure out where we're going for Halloween, too," she says, standing up.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just softly smirks at Kitty then. "You find me some hot disco girl clothes and we'll talk. I wanna break some damn hearts... cause I'm gonna be gettin' the 'lonely holiday blues' here soon, I can feel'em comin' on already." She says with a slight smirk.

"Your outfit is great, as it always is." She then adds to her departing friend. "Let me know whats up with Pete and if I need t'help at all and I'll probably be on my way home here in a bit. Don't worry about drug sweepin', they know all the weed is smoke inside this shop, not outside it."

Rogue snickers then and reaches for her drink again. raising her phone up to stare at it some more, ever popular on Instagram, this one.
