Synopsis:	Andrea talks to Sam about Jay. She's worried.

Rage has posed:
It's a few days after the Genosha incident and Andrea is knocking on Sam's door from the outside. She's dressed in a comfortable baggy sweater and a pair of skinnyjeans. Her hair is pulled up behind her into a thick pony tail.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will call out come in. He is actually setting in one of the recliners, and is putting a book mark in a book he is reading as he says so. He straightens up to look a little less slacker.

Rage has posed:
Nudging the door open, Andrea heads inside and hips the door shut behind her with a thump. "Hey." She calls over to him. "Can we talk about some stuff?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Sure, come in, have a seat? Want something to drink?" Seems his ma taught him to be a proper host. He even stands up since a lady is coming in.

Rage has posed:
"I'm good. Wanna talk to you about Jay." Andrea says as she sinks down into a seat, then folds one leg over the other. Settling her hands upon her knees, she furrows her brows. "How much do you know about his ex-girlfriend situation?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her and will move to het himself a drink, passing the sodas, and pulling out a beer. He will pop the top, taking a long sip. and sits down "Ah believe the more important question is how much do you know?"

Rage has posed:
"I know his version from what he told me. That he fell in love with a girl who's apart of a rival family. Her father found them together, killed him, and then she killed herself afterwards thinking he was dead." Andrea says as she gives a frown. "And since then, Jay has been trying to kill himself because of it, but his powers won't let him. Did you know that?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie listens with not showing emotion. He sips his beer again, and says "Yup." It is a simple answer, and he is tempted to leave it at that. He looks at her studying her but this time, it does not seem teacher, or even team member, this is more a moment of judging her for something and not a normal Sam look. He sips the beer again and says "Ma, sent him him, hoping we can help him, and he and Ah have talked, we are both gonna try to die a bit less."

Rage has posed:
"And what is your plan on helping him? Is he going to see a therapist? He needs someone to talk to, someone professionally. He's amazing and he is sunk in guilt and it's tearing him apart. I have a team back at Starlight that is trained for this if you need me to bring someone over. " Andrea says resolutely. "And this fucking asshole who shot him? This guy is still walking around free? After he tried to kill your brother and is an accessory to his daughter's death? No one laid the law down on that ass?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie listens and starts to say something but at the end of Andrea's statement he says "Um no, Chester Cabot was killed in the incident also. " He looks to her, and sighs taking a long drink of his beer "Chester had a couple of his boys and one of the local police officers with him. Turns out the officer had a crazy crush on Ma. Ma didn't want anything to do with him, as he was a racist bastard. Well, from what Ah was told right when things looked pretty bad at home. None of my family knowing about Josh and Juliet. Chester wearing this hate group suit, was fixing to shoot ma, and the Cop shot Chester in the face. Chester in his death throws fell on the cop and killed him. Chesters boys ran off, got their asses handed to them by a couple of the folks from here, but got in some trouble but not as much as Ah was tempted to make sure they did. " He sighs and looks to her, and says "And pretty much all of this comes down to being my fault."

Rage has posed:
"Oh, stop. You Guthrie boys and your self-blame. It's not /your/ fault either these guys tried to kill members of your family. Unless you personally set their house on fire and welcomed them to come over and shoot your mom and your brother, then it's not your fault either." Andrea says as she folds her arms over her chest. "So, I feel a little better knowing that jackass was killed. I had half a mind to call James on a burner phone and tell him to do a job for me." She says darkly as her face scrunches up. "So, back to Jay then. What is the plan to get him help besides putting him in a mutant school? Do you want my help and resources?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well, my first thought was Jean helping him if she would talk to him, and anything Ah could talk to him. " He sighs and says "Ah sorta know a bit about what he is going through, but my situation was somewhat different, and Lila turned up alive." He mentions when he thought Lila was killed. He hmmms, and says "Do you think he would talk to your people? He aint wanted to talk about it at home, part of what Ma hoped changing his environment would at least keep him from brooding at the lake or the graveyard. Brooding on it aint healthy for him, leads him down the bad paths, and brooding where it happened or at her grave, well that amplifies it."

Rage has posed:
"I don't know. I think he just needs someone. If Miss Grey has the time to put in to help him, she would be great, but I have people, psychologists at Starlight that works with young troubled mutants. I just want to see him taken care of. I feel so bad for him." Andrea says as she rubs the back of her neck. ".. and I like him, a lot. He's become a good friend to me now and I'd feel terrible .. if something was to happen to him, that he was successful in killing himself."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Well, Ah hoping he can't to be honest, hoping this whole immortal thing Ah have going runs in the family, but yea he needs help. Ah hope he will talk to me, and to be honest, he and I have talked a bit more than when he was at home. Part of why Ah am making sure he gets to working at the club. Puts him around music which honestly seems to help him, but also Ah want him to be able to have some money to send home." He looks to her, and sighs a bit "Ah do worry about him being here, he resents this place." He sips his beer, and says "Andrea, Ah am going to tell you something and I don't want you to tell anyone else unless you get him to se one of your shrinks, and then you can tell them."Ma, could not seem to reach him, and hoping that maybe being around me might help. He and Ah were thick as thieves while Pa was alive. When Pa died it changed things, and then when Ah had to come here it got worse. The little ones, they don't feel it like Jay, Paige maybe Melody or Jeb. Ma is the living embodiment of a saint and has done her best and better than any other person could ever do, but Jay and Ah... well we both felt it was our duty to step up, when first Pa passed, and then when Ah left.

Rage has posed:
"I'm sure if your head gets cut off, you aren't coming back from that. Just know in case he gets creative and builds a guillotine in shop class." Andrea says, then straightens up as she listens to the rest. "I won't say a word. I know what it's like, to feel the weight of pressure and stress on my shoulders. Just differently. I hope that being around you helps as well, and if there is anything I can do though, please let me know. I'll keep trying my best to be his friend and be someone he can come to and feel normal around."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Ah need to tell him something.... Ah aint said it even to myself but a few times, but yea there is something I need to tell him. He sips his beer, and says "If he talks to you that is good, and I will ask who he is comfortable talking to, and Ah know it is going to sound biased, but ah aint including Emma in the choices at all.

Rage has posed:
"I don't think it's a terrible idea. The one thing that Miss Frost is good at is being very direct and cutting straight to the problem. She may not be the best at showing empathy, but she is excellent at highlighting the issue at hand and delivering a quick and swift resolution. Perhaps her wardrobe choices are questionable, but they're designed to keep his attention." Andrea says with a small grin on her face. "Miss Frost helped me a lot when we created the New Mutants together. I understand where she is coming from and what type of woman she is."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Lets just say Ah aint sure if Emma would be the best fit for him. Ah would say the Prof, but he has his hands full as well. He hmms, and says "See who you have and Ah will see if Jean is going to have the time. Oh and so you know Dani is officially his advisor. For setting his classes, and such, through the school stuff she is the one who sets things."

Rage has posed:
"I've heard good things about Miss Moonstone, but I haven't met her myself. I'll talk to someone I think may help, but I'll hold off on anything until you talk to Miss Grey." Andrea says as she rubs her hands together a bit. She gives a small smile. "We're going to the Fall dance together. I'm actually really excited about it. I think he's amazing. I haven't had a crush like this in awhlie and now I see the big deal that high school girls go through. When I'm around him, I just want to start singing."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles softly and says "Yea, he got the looks and the voice, luckily Ah can still whip him if need be." he jokes a bit "Seriously though you be careful with him, and will warn ya you hurt him, you want be dealing with me, but there is a whole gaggle of Guthrie girls maybe standing in line to talk to ya." He tells her. "Your good to him, even if you two break up down the road, you got family. You hurt him, well, Ah will try to make sure I bring ya flowers while your in traction." He grins at her.

Rage has posed:
Giving him a grin, Andrea's eyes give a bit of a flicker. "You should be more worried about him breaking my heart. A guy like him will have a lot of suitors. I do not plan on pushing things with him too far, not until I am sure that he is well enough to take the next steps. This is his dance to lead." She gives a lick of her lips, then lifts her brow. "Your threats are noted though."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head and says "Not threats, warnings, Ah only threaten those who date my sisters... maybe some of the guys who date guys Ah think of as brothers.....Ok that gets complicated. Ah only threaten guys, know enough girls to beat up the girls Ah don't have to. And as for worrying about you Andrea, you know the most important thing you need to know here. Your not going into this blind of his history. Other than something coming from that, Ah have total faith Jay will be the second best gentleman you ever met."

Rage has posed:
"I don't need him to be a gentleman. A girl does have needs." Andrea says teasingly to Sam as her brows lift upwards, giving them a playful waggle. Let's torture the big brother for a moment. "But seriously though, he is very sweet and emotional. He makes my breath hitch in my chest and my cheeks burn like a sun. I act like an idiot around him. Do you know what his favorite meal is? I'd like to try and cook it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Yea, I know it but if you want to make the real deal you may have to talk to Shannon. "Fried chicken the right way, Ma sent Shannon the recipe, but she is still learning, the difference with southern cooking and healthy cooking. Tater salad, Use dukes mayo or do not make it, fair warning there. And Fried Okra. Would not hurt to have some home made biscuits to go with it. If you decided to make it Ah will offer myself to taste test it to make sure it is rihgt."

Rage has posed:
"That sounds pretty Southern. I'd just end up screwing that whole thing up. I'd be better off making jello." Andrea says as she chuckles. "It's okay though, maybe I can make him a meal from my mother's recipes. Chocolate mayonnaise cake, which was my grandma's specialty." Andrea says thoughtfully. "I think that would be fun, and everyone likes cake. It's the one thing I'm confident in making without screwing it up."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's brow raises a bit and looks a bit sceptical.... Chocolate ... Mayonnaise.... Cake....?

Rage has posed:
Nodding her head, Andrea gives him a smile. "Yup. It's a recipe from Oklahoma, where my grammy was from. It gives the top of the cake a wonderful sweet crunchy crust. It's delicious." She assures him.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Ok, gonna give ya a clue, taste the dukes in the fridge. Mayo is not supposed to be sweet. Like Cornbread is not supposed to be sweet. That sounds like ya may need some of that sandwich spread or something and maybe you have found a use for that stuff. But if your going to try making that, I suggest you probably you taste it after it is done before giving it to Jay. Cause if it tastes funny you will never know, but Ah will never hear the end of it.

Rage has posed:
"Chocolate cakes are designed to be sweet. The mayo means that you need one less egg and it causes the cake to be a lot more tender and gives it more moisture. Some cakes just get too dry and then people over compensate with extra frosting. I'll make one and you can try it out. I'm telling you, you'll fall in love with it." Andrea assures. "I'll do a better job at that than trying to make fried chicken and then insulting him with it."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well, anything ya want me to taste I will but if Ah am tasting it Ah will give my honest opinion "Dang it now I want some cornbread and mayo." He sighs and sips his beer."

Rage has posed:
Andrea nods her head thoughtfully, then gives a glance down at her phone as she taps along the glass to send a text. "Jay doesn't know that this Chester guy is dead. I think it'd mean something to him if he founds out. Maybe you could tell him."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "You ok with him knowing you came to talk to me?

Rage has posed:
"I don't want him to get upset." Andrea says as she watches her phone light up, then smiles as she taps along the glass again. "Do you think you should tell him I came to you?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "well Ah aint sure to be honest, but would be easiet to say "Hey Jay, Andrea came to me to ask where she could find chester Cabot, and had to tell her he was dead.

Rage has posed:
Andrea giggles softly at the next text, then sends another. "I don't know. I'd hate for him to get upset if he thinks I went behind his back to talk to you. Maybe it could come up later during therapy. Or.. I don't know.. I'll let you be the judge. But I think after last night though, he's ready to move forward. At least baby steps."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, a bit and says "That him your texting with?'

Rage has posed:
Andrea gives a small smile. "Yeah. It is. Trying to convince him I'm cold and may need to borrow his wings again. We were dancing last night and he wrapped me up in them. It was nice. Romantic. Cozy. Made my heart pound."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "TMI, not something Ah need to know, la.,la. la.la.la " He makes noises to block it out, but smiles "If your wanting to ho hang out with him, might want to find him, as Ah will probably want to talk to him soon."

Rage has posed:
"I told him to meet me in ten minutes." Andrea says with a smile as she glances up at him. "Gives me enough time to head back to my room and change into something more comfortable, and get some music going." She says with a wolfish, smug look on her face. "Thanks for talking to me. Means a lot." She says as she rises upwards.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will stand and offers her a hug, and says "Just don't do nothing Ah have to be called in about ok?"

Rage has posed:
Andrea returns the hug and gives him a grin. "I won't. He's a gentleman." She turns and heads out of the room, humming to herself. "See yah!"
