Cast of Characters: Zorro, Rave, Bakeneko

Zorro has posed:
Greenwhich Village seemed like the perfect place to advertise the newly opened Scarlet Pimpernel. It' closeness to Empire State University and as a residential neighborhood were bound to attract people to the play. There was currently a stage being set up in the courtyard of Empire University to do a "sample" of what people could expect for the play. It took a bit of coordination with the University staff, but it was set up after a few hours of planning and negotation.

Hector was currently standing backstage practicing his fencing skills. Tonight's exhibition involved a duel with Chauvelin and he was warming up. As he continued jabbing his sword back and forth and occasionally leaping, he thought about his agent and how he thought the exhibition needed more "drama", so he hired a meta with light powers to help him. The problem was that it was Rave, a heroine he already met before. As Hector heard the crowd starting to gather outside, he flashed back to the incident with the car jackers and hoped that his fencing style did not tip Rave off. He then walked off to the craft area to get a drink of water before the exhibition.

Rave has posed:
Before she'd been a meta, before she'd been an underground sensation, Rave had been a musical prodigy. Crafting sound, tailoring lightshows and honing her interests...now that she had power? Well, it -was- a little more unique, but the interest wouldn't die!

That and, she was technically a student at the university...

The blue-haired girl wasn't dressed to be eye-catching today, after all she was hardly the star of the show. Instead the young woman was dressed in black jeans and a rather plain black t-shirt to blend into the backdrop as best she could. As best anyone who was prone to glowing could anyway!

Moving through backstage, the girl had a donut in her mouth she'd pinched from one of the tables while she re-read the cue sheet for the umpteenth time. This might be a 'day job' thing to do, but even she needed money!

Bakeneko has posed:
Katsumi Oshiro left university, partially in shame. It was sacrificed on the altar of her passion for professional wrestling. And ultimately, it cost her more than she would've imagined. So college campuses carry a latent sting that's hard to shake. It makes being around them difficult; it eats away at her insides. Ideas of what could've been, what would've been, how things might've gone differently, or where she'd be now.

Katsumi's arms bundle in against her torso protectively. It's not her usual effervescent self, and she knows it. She just has to make sure she isn't a liability out here. Because not only is there an advertisement for some local theater about to go down, but there's some PR work for the upcoming Four Corners of the World professional wrestling event! Team Japan is handing out flyers and giving information to college students with disposable income. Four wrestlers in total, with the two males focusing on female students, while the two females - Kat included - focusing on the male demographic.

It's totally predatory and on purpose.

The campaigning brings Katsumi and her grudging brunette partner close to the stage being set up. Katsumi pauses to stare up at her curiously.

Zorro has posed:
Hector grabs a bottle of Sparkling Water and takes a sip, only to spit it out in disgust, how can people drink stuff like that. He then looks deeper into the cooler where the beverages were kept and discovers a normal bottle of water. Hector grunts in satisfaction and starts drinking from it. He then sees Rave walk in, eating a donut and reading her cue sheet. He grins at her and says,

"Preparing for the scene, eh Senorita".

As Kat and her partner are viewing at the scene, they fail to notice the strange group leaving from the main campus building. The first four are dressed up as French soldiers from the 1700s, muskets and rapiers included. The final man however, was dressed up as a 18th century gentleman and had a permanent scowl on his face. The soldiers and the gentleman go into the crowd and start seemingly interrogating the crowd members about something, even showing them a sheet of paper that looked like a wanted poster. The gentleman and one of the soldiers eventually make their way up to Kat and her partner. The scowling gentleman then clears his throat to get her attention.

Rave has posed:
Certainly, it wasn't Rave's choice of beverage...but there was a certain amount of a sweettooth for the speedster, as the iced treat might suggest. As she's addressed, the youn woman blinks and looks up. A nod of her head and the meta shrugs her shoulders.

"Yeah, even without flipping switches and stuff I still need to know when to -do- the lights and holograms thing..."

Holding her treat in her hands, the speedster blinks and tilts her head to the side. "Have we met bef-...Oh! Coffee shop guy, right?"

She'd yet to meet Katsumi, but the bluenette's eye do flick over towards the curious sight of the Japanese woman waiting off to the side. She wasn't a massive wrestling fan herself, but promotion was promotion!

Bakeneko has posed:
Someone clears their throat!

Katsumi is startled from her curious gawking and whirls around on- well, a sight she really wasn't expecting. The uniform. The sword. All of it! Katsumi gives a breathless, even sheepish laugh at her own surprised response. "Oh, s***! You can't sneak up on people like that, Captain Crunch!," she scolds in typical Katsumi fashion. "The Hell do you want?"

Naturally, it embarrasses the girl she's working with. The poor brunette lifts a hand to gently cover a side of her face, attempting to shield herself from any jeers.

Zorro has posed:
Hector grins at Rave and says," Actually, i believe it was a bar, but otherwise yes, i am the coffee shop guy." Hector then takes another sip of his water and says to Rave," So, how much did they pay you to do this? Must've been a lot."

The gentlmen's scowl deepens and he seems to let out a subtle growl as he says to Kat," I am Citizen Chauvelin, agent of the Committe of Public Safety." He then snaps his fingers at the French Soldier and pulls out a wanted poster of a swashbuckling-looking individual. He then sneers and says to you," Have you seen this man? He is wanted for smuggling out traitors out of France."
