Hey, can we talk
Date of Scene: 25 October 2019
Location: Andrea's Room (East Halls), Xavier's School
Synopsis: Jay and Andrea talk a bit about where this 'thing' is going.
Cast of Characters: Rage, Icarus

Rage has posed:
A text is sent out to Jay earlier in the day: 'Hey Jay! It's Andrea. I finished up with class and my workouts I'll be at my place if you want to hang out for a bit and talk.'

Andrea is currently in her room wearing her soft flannel pajama bottoms and a button up silky top. Her hair is wet from a shower and tied up behind her. She is settled in front of her laptop at the desk with a thick pair of headphones on, working on her Logic software as she edits a song.

Icarus has posed:
Jay had been pretty busy. The class work, due to being a late transfer in the semester, was a bit overwhelming. He was having to catch-up on things that had already been covered, since they would show up on finals eventually.

It was like he had double the homework of everyone else. Maybe an exaggeration but that's how it felt to him.

At the appointed time, he knocked on Andrea's door.

Rage has posed:
Glancing upwards at the knocking, Andrea takes the headphones off and places them on the rack next to her desk. She has quite a professional setup, even with a keyboard attached to her computer.

Heading over to the door, she opens it up and offers a smile. "Hey, Jay. C'mon in. How you doing?" She asks as she heads over to flop her butt down on the edge of her bed.

Icarus has posed:
Jay smiles as he answers, "Doing alright. You?" He takes the invitation and walks inside though he leaves the door slightly open when he enters. Not out of any worry but because Ma always made him leave a door cracked when there was a girl involved. Nevermind that Ma wasn't here, it was still a habit.

He moved to an open chair and settled into it, flipping his wings up and over the back of the chair out of the way. "What's going on?"

Rage has posed:
"Not much. I just wanted to apologize to you the other day." Andrea says as she rubs the back of her neck. "I could tell that I may have made you uncomfortable and I wasn't trying to. I'm just not good at this."

Her feet are bare, toes wiggling with a fresh coat of light pink paint on the nails. She stuffs her feet down into her wolfy slippers that are at the foot of the bed.

Icarus has posed:
A glance is given to the slippers, a hint of a smirk. "You were wearing those the other day. They're cute."

Then Jay's facial expression shifts to more serious. "It was just...a surprise. I'm not ready for big steps yet and though it was just a peck on my shoulder, it threw me for a loop. I probably overreacted and I'm sorry about that."

Rage has posed:
Wiggling her feet, Andrea gives them a pair of 'arf arfs'

"I know, and I was just being playful and I felt really comfortable in the moment with your wing around me. I just like spending time with you." Tapping her fingers together, she gives him a sheepish look. "I haven't dated in a long time, like.. anyone else besides Mason, who's just as famous as me. I guess I'm used to moving quick because if you don't, you miss a window."

"I guess I don't know how to be a normal teenage girl."

Icarus has posed:
"Well, I understand city girls are like that too. Fast moving and such. Some country girls too but they aren't usually thought very highly of. I'm from a place where we aren't so quick to act and, with my personal situation, that slows down what would already be a slow process for a Southern gentlman," Jay says.

Rage has posed:
"I like your Southern gentlemany life style. I think most girls here in the city would. It's special and old school. It makes us do silly, crazy things to get your attention." Andrea says with an amused smile.

"I like your wings, a lot. I'm not bothered by them at all. I'm super jealous that I can't fly and on top of that, they just make you look so handsome."

Icarus has posed:
There's that blush. She's really good at getting that. Which is strange. Jay is a musician, has been on stage a fair bit, is used to admirers. Yet, she manages to make embarass him. If he really thought about it, that might tell him something.

"I'm super jealous that I can't turn into a wolf and protect you from monsters attacking the school so we're even. You don't have to do crazy things to get my attention. You already have it. So don't worry that someone else is going to beat you to the punch."

Rage has posed:
"I have your attention, huh?" Andrea says as she taps his leg with her foot. ARF. "Why is that? Because I'm a super famous popstar who has too much make up and I dance on stage with half my clothes off and I sing about dumb boys?" She teases him gently.

"The wolf thing isn't that great. The side effects of what I go through isn't awesome. You definitely have the better situation. Healing sexy voice wing powers is more appealing."

Icarus has posed:
"Healing sexy voice wing powers didn't help me in the past," Jay points out simply. But he doesn't dwell there and quickly moves on.

"You are going to make me say it again? Out loud? Should I open the door and scream it down the hall as to why you have my attention?"

Rage has posed:
Giving him a few more taps, arf arf, Andrea offers him a brief smile. "No, you don't have to do that. It'd just cause rumors and drama." Tucking her hair back behind her ear, she reaches out a hand for his, if he'll take it.

Icarus has posed:
Thank goodness for chairs with wheels. Jay scooches the chair closer, spinning slightly on the trip over and takes her offered hand. "We're in high school. Rumors and drama are what everyone lives for. It makes us feel important until we get jobs and things." He teases. "Although some people are overachievers and already covered all that stuff. Seriously, you're nice. You were from day one. I had preconceived notions, figured the nice had to be an act. You genuinely are just a good person who cares about others and wants to give or help."

Rage has posed:
"I am a nice person, yes, but I am also impulsive, brash and pushy. I force my way into situations like a semi truck with cut brakes because I'm used to dealing with that in Hollywood. I don't know how to slow down. It turns people off because they think I'm showboating or trying to brag." Andrea says as she slides her fingers into his, then reaches out with her free hand for his other.

Icarus has posed:
"So, what I'm hearing is I need to help teach you to slow down and take it easy. Instead of pushing in and giving misconceptions. Unless you are dealing with business in which case I let you roll over whoever you need to," Jay adds. He gives her his other hand. "And you need to teach me not to be so prideful to take things the wrong way when you are just trying to be nice. Sound like a deal?"

Rage has posed:
"Mmm.. maybe.." Andrea says in regards to them having a deal. She gives him a gentle pull towards her by the hands as the chair rolls forward. "I don't know if I can be taught to slow down, especially with what's going through my mind." She teases him softly. "I have dates and flights picked out for your family by the way. If you and Sam can give me the go-ahead, I can reserve everything with a click. My agent cam through for me."

Icarus has posed:
The chair rolls closer with the tug, getting another smirk from Jay. "I'll have to ask Sam. You want to see if he's available? I can text him." He doesn't release her hands though. "My Ma always said good things come to those who wait. Maybe this'll be your chance to see if she was right. Cause waiting is what we'll have to do. Just not ready for any crazy steps right now."

Rage has posed:
"What do you consider a crazy step?" Andrea asks with a giggle as she brushes her fingers along his knuckles, inspecting his hands to see what type of wear and tear they may have from his country life. "You can text him if you want. Tell him to come on over."

Icarus has posed:
Jay's hands were pretty rough. He'd worked in the mines, doing a lot of the chores, hunting and farming. Yet the calluses she would know from being a musician were just as prominant as the others. He pulled one hand away then tried the other but she didn't seem to be wanting to let go. He smirked and his thumb worked rapidly to type the message, since it was doing double the normal workload. A moment later, he gave a nod. "Sam's in his room. Says we can meet him there."

Rage has posed:
Giving him a grin, Andrea nods and pushes herself up to her feet, wrapping her fingers around the one hand that she has taken ownership of. "Okay, let's head on over there."
