Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, Dragon

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan had asked Richard to help her out with her sword skills a few weeks ago and the man had made good on his word. So after a few hours of practice when they were finished the red head had suggested a trip to grab something to relax with after such grueling work.

There's a cafe in Greenwich that Morrigan is a regular at, probably because she lives next to it. She finds a seat and settles down in it, sore from the workout, "I've not been this sore in years." she muses as she rearranges the table top a bit to give a clear line of sight to Richard. "Thanks for being good on your word." she adds to him.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon gladly kept his word indeed, meeting with Morrigan in that small place that he rented to use it as a dojo, and starting on her swordsmanship training using a pair of wooden blades, quickly assessing her current level and again covering the basics. The gripping, the swinging, the steps and the postures... Yet, it is understandable that someone is a bit tired after such a training!
With his current level of training, it is not pretentious to say he didn't almost even sweat, and if he looked precise and controlled the last time they met, seeing him with a blade in hand, or training in general, brings that concept to an entire new level. The offer of some coffee and relaxing, though, was extremely well accepted, and so it was that he followed Morrigan gladly and with a smile towards the cafe, taking a seat in front of the woman "well, it'll be worse tomorrow but, the day after it'll be allright!"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Oh thanks for the warning." Morrigan muses as she looks across to him. She was far more tired during the day, it was easy to tell. "I'll be sure to soak tonight and hopefully stave off some of that." she states with a nod. "So you're an expert martial artist, is that something you've trained your whole life for or did you just come to it naturally?" she asks him.

Then she adds, "If I ask too many questions you can tell me to quit. I tend to be overly nosy or inquisitive from what I've been told." she chuckles.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon smiles a bit, winking "you have to know what's in front of you! And, well, asking is always allowed, answering is courtesy... So don't worry." he pauses a moment, before actually giving his answer "I've trained my entire life, yes... Started training when I was a little kid, and am still learning new things now!"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan smiles a touch at that, "Well, I think I do." she nods to that. "I think it's good to have that dedicated of a focus." she admits as she orders her coffee and then takes a moment to watch while Richard orders his.

"So what do you do when you aren't working at Mount Sinai or teaching hopeless Doctors how to handle a sword?" she asks him curiously.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon hmms, considering that new question, then probably choosing a version of the truth "I travel, mostly... Most of my life is devoted to, well, either training, teaching, healing, travelling, and thinking... That's basically all I do, I'm afraid. Nothing too intresting!" he smiles "no millions in a secret bank account, no supersecret second life... Nothing..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Traveling isn't all that bad. I do it for conferences. I have a few trips already planned out for the new year." Morrigan tells him with a soft smile. "Where is your favorite place to travel?" she asks him. Innocent question really. "And it sounds like you're going for Sainthood with all that you do really. I'm glad to have met you." she admits to that.

"And I'm sure with all the traveling and things you've made good friends." she smiles to that.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon chuckles, a bit amusedly perhaps "oh, sainthood? far from it! As for my favourite place, I honestly don't know... There are so many good places that giving a favourite would almost be like doing a disservice to the others..." he admits, smiling softly "and, of course, you're welcome Morrigan, I am likewise glad!" he pauses, glancing to the waiter that is supposed to bring his coffee as well as Morrigan's, then looking back at the woman "well, yes, I have met a person or two, true..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan takes her coffee when it's delivered and there's a quiet thanks given to the server. Then she focuses back on Richard, listening to what he says. "I think you'd do alright." she teases him. "So how do you balance everything, or what that learned along the way as well?" she asks him with a smile. "I can barely do three things. I can't imagine adding being a teacher to that." she admits.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon thanks the waiter as well, placing the cup of coffee in front of him and waiting for it to be an acceptable temperature before attempting to sip it. "but I devote my entire life to them... I mean, I do heal when I find someone wounded, not like a doctor who spends their day seeking patients. I do train when I'm not doing anything else, and teach those who want to learn. As for the thinking, well, who doesn't? And you can do those things while travelling... Just, not being bound to a place but going wherever your feet bring you"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to him, her eyes soften as he speaks and there's a nod to his words, "Well, healing is a good thing to do when you come across someone that is wounded. I tend to try to do that if there is a situation where it comes up. Though I don't have any of the healing powers that say metahumans or mutants might have." she admits.

"And sadly for the foreseeable future I'm going to stay in NYC proper. Until I find some dashing man that makes me move to another state or something." she chuckles as she sips her coffee.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon nods understandingly "well, nor do I, I am as human as I look... So, well, no snapping my fingers and removing wounds with a thought, unfortunately!" he smiles again, taking that cup of coffee finally and trying to drink a small sip from it "hmm, this is good! And, well, you have all your life in front of you, and surely at least a couple dozen of dashing men that try to grab your attention" he chuckles

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I think our type of healing is just as important really." Morrigan tells him as she settles her coffee down on the saucer. "Were you born in the states, Richard? I mean, you're pretty American looking but I tend not to assume." she smiles to that. Then she gives a chuckle, "If I had a dozen dashing men trying to grab my attention I might be a bit happier in life." she muses to that. "I had been seeing someone, but he had his demon. So I've been focused on my work more and more." she admits.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon shakes his head "I suppose you could say I have, american origins, but I actually grew up in japan..." he admits "and, I agree, our healing is just as important indeed! or the common people would probably die, or suffer..." then he grins "happier, with a dozen people trying to grab your attention, all day? Oh wow... I wouldn't manage, personally... Well, not, men, I mean... You know what I mean"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I hear Japan is lovely." Morrigan tells him as she focuses on him again. "Did you like it there?" she asks him as she wraps her hands around the coffee mug. Then she chuckles, "No, one guy would make me happy. If I had twelve men suddenly interested in me I'd believe it was a joke of some kind." she points out. "Do you have a girlfriend or anything like that, Richard? I imagine with all of the traveling and roaming healing it makes it a difficult thing." she murmurs.

Dragon has posed:
"like everything, and every place, it had its pros and cons, its good sides and its bad ones..." Richard admits, sipping his coffee again "it is a good place anyways, yes, just like the USA are, just like Europe, or Asia, or Africa..." he smiles, and indeed shakes his head "I don't have a girlfriend indeed... It, is something that I will perhaps think about now that I am more or less settled, but earlier, indeed, it was a complicated thing..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan listens to him quietly and there's a soft nod to his words, "True. My mom left Ireland when I was still a baby. So I can understand that." she admits. Her mom's issue was supernatural though! "And having a place to settle tends to help the matter of relationships. One that understands what you do and traveling sometimes might be a good idea." she suggests. "Not like there's a rush I'm guessing." she chuckles.

Dragon has posed:
"that would be a good idea indeed! I am sure, that when the times are right, I'll find someone or someone'll find me..." Richard admits, pausing then to enjoy a couple of sips of coffee with a pleased smile at the taste. "well, should also be someone who won't follow me trying to beat me with a broom at my odd behaviors such as the meditating, and the training and the cleaning everything, all that stuff..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan smiles softly to him as he talks, listening to his words and then she nods, "I'm sure it'll all work out in then end. For you and for me." she tells him. "There's been a bunch of things going on lately. Murders, kidnappings. So you be careful out in the field, alright?" she looks to him.

Dragon has posed:
"lets hope so!" Richard follows the words with another sip of coffee and a bright smile "to a great future for the both of us then" he adds, raising his half filled cup in a sort of cheer "and, yes, I will try to be careful. You as well though, please! I like having you as a student!"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I promise I'll stay alive when I'm out doing silly things." Morrigan tells him. Like walking towards the Punisher as opposed to running away! "Oddly enough I've gotten into a lot of things and walked away only a bit banged up. So I'm doing better than most." she admits. "So when is the next training session? Same time next week?" she asks with a smile.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon chuckles, again with a hint of amusement "well, who doesn't do a silly thing or two once in a wile?" he asks, grinning and even winking conspiratorially, hiding another smile behind the cup of coffee, now almost empty though. "next week same time is allright, keep training while at home though! If not with a sword, at least with some exercises to keep your muscles working..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile, "We do." she nods to that. Then she's finishing off her coffee and settling the cup down. "Same time next week and I'll be sure to do stretching and exercising at home." she nods to this. "I've got work tonight, so I'm going to need to head home and get ready for things. Thank you for the lesson and I look forward to the next one." she admits.

Dragon has posed:
"you're welcome" Richard replies with a smile, setting down his own empty cup "I suppose I'll just, stay here and enjoy the sights for a bit then! Unless you'd want me to escort you somewhere, of course" he says, another smile appearing on his lips "thanks for the company and, for making me discovering this place and its coffee..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan reaches for her bag and there's a smile to him, "I mean, if you want to walk me home you can, it's just a few places down." she tells him. "Or you can sit and enjoy the sights. Greenwich is pretty to look at sometimes." she admits as she stands.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon stands up smoothly, making sure the chair returns to be in the exact place it was when he pulled it out "well in that case, I'll make sure you gethome safely if that's allright with you. I'm sure a walk would do me good anyways!" he admits

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan smiles to that as she waits for him to stand. "Thank you. I know the area isn't bad, but it's always nice to have company." she admits to him. She leads them back out on the street and sure enough, Morrigan's apartment building is not far. The Hillary Gardens is a a tall building with thirty five floors. "I moved here in the middle of the year. Too many old memories at my other place." she chuckles as she finds her keys as she stops outside the lobby entrance.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon follows the woman out of the cafe, and through the streets his steps and expression remain serene while his eyes calmly take in his surroundings. "it seems like a very nice place!" he even comments, confirming it when seeing the building in which Morrigan lives "well, yes, nice indeed. I do truly hope that this new home will bring in some good memories, to replace the bad ones, Morrigan."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to him, "I'm sure the new memories will be great really." she admits. "And...thanks for today. It was great. Something that was desperately needed." she tells him. "Work calls though, so I should head up. I'll see you later, Richard." she gives him a smile and a wave as she moves towards the door to the lobby.
