Witchblade's Cajun Connection.
Date of Scene: 27 October 2019
Location: The Blue Lady, Fort Joseph
Synopsis: Remy and Sara eat, drink, dance, and eventually leave together on Gambit's motercycle.
Cast of Characters: Witchblade, Gambit

Witchblade has posed:
Sara's dressed to the nines. Or at least eight and a halves. Mostly because the dress she picked out is certainly fancy, high end, and expensive. And. And....she got the department to foot the bill. So she went all out, hair done, nails done, dress, shoes, she's hidden her gun within easy reach and cuffs too. There's just one problem with the dress. She keeps having to hoist it up above her bust and pray it doesn't slide down. She's not really in the mood for, well, a strip show. Fortunately, she's got the dress to stay there, but not leave much to the imagination. Having curves sometimes keeps things in place on its own. And the dress is pretty enough to in theory get people to gaze at the dress, not the assets, so to speak. Stepping to the club, Sara's got her badge in hand and shows it to the bouncer. "I'm here for reasons" she says, and puts her badge away, waiting. She's got her hair done professionally, too. Her fellow detectives are going to torment her about this to no end. But she's fine with it. Just don't sleep with him, and you're good, Sara.

Gambit has posed:
The bouncer, a Hispanic man in his late 20's with a pair of Tomahawks hanging from his belt just gives her a bit of a grin and nods to her badge. "Chica, joo come in 'ere lookin' like joo lookin' right now, joo can has all de business you want. More cops look like joo around, Axe might reconsider givin up his life of crime huh?" He holds the door for her to let her in.

Remy is already at a table, but when the woman comes in he stands and grins slightly, Well 'ello dare chere," he says pulling out her chair for her.

Witchblade has posed:
Sara nods to Axe and thanks him as she heads in, and sits in the chair Remy's pulled out. "Thanks" she nods. "This place does dinnner?" she asks and stretches a little, adjusting her hair. "When you said jaz club, I figured we were gonna fly to New Orleans for dinner or something, but this is every bit as good" she admits with a smile. It's a Genuine one, too, reaching her eyes a s she's thinking what to order. Obviously, food, yes. But just what food? No idea, absolutely no idea.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins just a little bit, "Well Ah was tempted but Ah remembered some sage advice mah Pappa give me when Ah was jus' a pup. Nevah do anyt'ing on de firs' date dat yah can' out do on de second." he smirks some and takes up the menu himself. "Ah've been 'ere once or twice, de food is 'bout as close as yah c'n get dis far nort'." One of the waitresses comes over and Remy orders a bottle of red wine, and grilled shrimp skewers for them to share as an apitizer. "Ah'd tell yah dat yah look amazing, but Ah've never been one to state de obvious."

Witchblade has posed:
Sara's willing to sit back and follow Remy's lead on food. Mostly since, well, her idea of food is New York food. Not anything south of Jersey or west of the city limits, either. She looks over the menu then grins. Sure, let the Cajun order and enjoy it. She's definitely pleased.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins a bit, and nods to the woman. There is a certain type of man, and Remy is one of them, who likes to treat a lady like a lady, and to act the part of a gentleman in return. It's not very PC these days, and it's obvious he is enjoying the chance to step into the role. "So tell me Sara, are yah a fan of 'istory?" he asks with mild amusement, pouring their wine when the man brings it over.

Witchblade has posed:
Sara shakes her head. "History, no. it's not my thing" Sara offers sipping her wine. Looking amused, Sara is enjoying this. Sure, they can avoid discussing work for a bit. "So, you've been all over, huh?" she asks and sets down the wine glass. "It must be nice to not have yourself tied down to one area though" she says with a nod.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shrugs a little bit, offering a bit of a grin. "Oui, all ovah de Stats, an most of Europe as well. Ah love de 'Istory of Europe really. Ah mean ta sit on de stairs of a Church an' ralize dat dis Church is older den yah 'ole damn country c'n be pretty 'umbleing. An' jus' 'tween yah an me chere, Remy don' 'umble dat easy." He grins a bit wickedly. "Now yah, yah give de vibe of someone who tries nevah ta leave de five burrows, and dat goin' abroad is a trip ta Atlantic city foh de weekend. Am Ah right?"

Witchblade has posed:
Sara's trying to shake er head and laugh. "Come on. I work and live here, rememver? I'm a New York City cop. Having dinner with you, so I can't easily leave the five boroughs. Atlantic City's a week's vacation. More like, weekend trip just ovr the line" she admits. Another sip as she's waiting on food. "I'm jealous mind" she offers with a nod. "I'd like to get out of the city but that takes months of planning and forms, and a lot of diplomacy and shift switching" Sara admits with a nod.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shrugs a bit, "Well Ah know some people dat know some people... Maybe if we start makin' dese dinners a regular 'abit Ah'll pull some strings foh yah an' we slip off somewhere romantic... " He then takes a moment as if pondering her face.. "Paris? non... Venice? Maybe... Rome? Too ancient... Disney World... Dat's it Ah'll take yah ta Disney World." He says with a wickedly playful grin as their food arrives. He likes her laugh and it causes a large smile to appear on his lips.

Witchblade has posed:
"Really?" Sara giggles. "How old do you think I am?" she asks with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not a little girl, but I'm all for this, though. You organize it. I'll book time off. So" Sara smiles with a look to the food and starts picking at it. "So why Disney? I mean, I know it's good but, road trip" Sara adds with a nod, enjoying the appetiser and wine.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau laughs a little bit, "If dat's yah reaction now, den we 'ave ta go." He says simply as if there were no point in explaining otherwise. "But let's see 'ow dinner goes firs' foh we start planning vacations, non?" he asks as their food arrives. "so den, family? Siblings?' he asks curiously as he cuts into his steak to be certain it's undercooked well enough."
