Synopsis: Roa Roa sis boom ba
Cast of Characters: Stardust, Red Robin
Tinyplot: Knightfall
Tinyplot2: Age of Darkness

Stardust has posed:
The giant monitor that takes up most of one wall of the Titan's living quarters is the hub and nexus of the tower's considerable computing resources. Of course everything's on the network, but it's the monitor that you go to for the heavy lifting. Or watching cartoons. If you're Colette, you mostly use it for watching cartoons.

Today is an exception. Stardust is using the monitor for actual work. In this case it's almost as wasteful though. She's lounging on the sofa, legs crossed, with a laptop on her lap. The laptop screen is being shadowed on the monitor, which displays the video feed from a drone she has flying around. Why? Because the screen is big. It's fun. It looks more cool on the big screen than on the little laptop screen. And she can steer the drone with one hand on the keyboard while leaning back comfortably and watching the big screen while she sips from a can of soda.

Judging by the image, Stardust seems to be flying the drone over Brooklyn. The familiar skyline of Gotham can be seen over the water. The drone is orbiting an area by the docks. A collection of rusting shipping containers seems to be her target of interest.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake comes walking into the room. He is in costume, and carrying a couple of rather dusty boxes. He looks over and smirks a bit at the drone "Got anti Raptor armament on that thing?" He asks a bit as he walks over sitting the boxes on the coffee table, and blows some of the dust from the top one.

Stardust has posed:
Stardust turns to look at Tim when he enters and asks about raptors. She gives him a very puzzled look. "Rapt... in case of dinosaur attacks? No. Or were you worried about someone attempting to kidnap the drone? No. No armaments. It's meant to look as much as possible like an Amazon delivery drone. Armaments would probably spoil the look."

She turns her attention back to the screen and steers the drone lower. It swoops down into a narrow canyon between shipping containers, speeding along there for a few moments before rising rapidly up into the air again. She sets it to hover, then replays the footage slowed down, studying the containers carefully. She stops the footage at one container that looks damaged, studies it for a few moments, then moves on.

Stardust interrupts her search to sip some cola, then frowns and looks around at Tim again. "Heya Nerd Robin. What's up? You seem to have some very dusty boxes. My amazing detective skills tell me nobody has looked inside them for a while."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks to her, and says "Hawks, Falcons those type of Raptors, not the ones Garfield turns into to get the last piece of pizza." He jokes a bit with her. He opens the first box, and starts to take out folders with pictures and paperwork in them. "Trying to see if we might have encountered someone in the past and if so figure out who they are.

Stardust has posed:
"Ah. Birds. Well. They say that Dinosaurs were a kind of bird really. But I spent a couple of hours in the Cretaceous period and I'm dubious." Stardust shakes her head and returns to swooping the drone over the next bank of shipping crates. "This is boring. What's in the boxes? Who are you looking for?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "I have been looking into some things, and have encountered some information about two people. One of them we think we know who they might be the other one not so sure. Hoping that might have ben some clue that we may have encountered them in the past. These are pictures and paper work we picked up when we dealt with secret agencies. Got a lot more to go through but figure to find the needle in the haystack you have to start looking."

Stardust has posed:
"Have you done a facial recognition search?" Stardust asks. "Yeah you must have. You're Nerd Robin. And nothing showed up, so you've dug out a box from the time before the Titans stored everything digitally? Careful there, Red. I'm pretty sure those ancient archives are protected by an Egyptian curse."

As ever easily bored, Stardust hits the recall button to bring the drone home, and gets up from the sofa to wander over and peer inside the boxes. Ancient archives and mystical Egyptian curses sounds like much more fun, even if that's just something she made up in her head. "Anything I can help with?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will tap on his wrist com and a digitaly constructed picture of Nick Fury and Amanda Waller show up. If you want to help look for anyone who looks like them or has connection with trying to clone, use grafted DNA or such . We think the guy is Nick Fury of Shield. The woman a bit harder

Stardust has posed:
Colette studies the two figures for a while and shakes her head. "Pretty sure I haven't seen either of them. Or I mean, maybe like passed them in the street or something, but not to notice." She takes a handfull of files out of one of the boxes and starts sorting through them as she talks. "Cloning. Hmm. We've got a new guy at the moment. Hybridized DNA. But he's a Kree, the Kree science corps is big on genetic manipulation so that's kind of normal. And probably not very relevant to anything happening on earth.

She flips open a file, and immediately flips it closed again and adds it to 'nope' pile before moving on to the next. Brainless bruiser type villains don't fit the profile, and Cinder Block looks nothing like either. "Oh. There was those guys Doctor Light was working with. Remember when Robin..." she looks around to check nobody else is in the room. "...Damian Robin, not you... was kidnapped? Weren't those guys up to some kind of DNA scheme?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "I will add them to the pile. " he looks to her, and says "Trying to figure out who would have the resources and reasons to take Superman's body. I have some suspisions and want to make sure it does not come back to bite us in the ass. And no, I am not going all angry like Robin is, I am trying to keep myself on a cool logical thought pattern

Stardust has posed:
"Can't say I blame him for being angry," Colette says, as she flicks through another file. "Also... well. He's faced death a lot in his life. More than the rest of us. More up close and personal than the rest of us. What he's had less experience with is the idea of being close to people. The idea of death coming for someone he cares about must be a pretty major shock to the system."

She stops, staring at a photo in the file for a while. Did she find something? Apparently not, as she leans back and closes the folder. Something to stare at while thinking. "So, you're wondering if someone stole his body to attempt to clone a Kryptonian. Unlikely. Kryptonian physiology is fundamentally different from Human physiology. The technology used for human cloning wouldn't work. DNA won't create the correct type of cells. Though.. ah, I'm no biologist, that's all way too technical. I mean it might be possible to hybridize by using a kind of... human DNA substrate, and building a framework of Kryptonian cells on top, but there would be massive problems with rejection. Probably beyond any Earth-based technology, though enough people have got their hands on alien tech lately, so you never know."

She picks up another file and starts leafing through. "Though if you have reason to believe someone has taken Superman's body, maybe you should be wondering if they plan on reviving him rather than cloning him, because it's kind of stretching credibility that he would be dead if what I've heard is true about how it happens. Though I can't imagine why anyone would be faking that. It's pretty weird really."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well cloning with a human kryptonian hybrid is possible, think of the whole filling the gaps like folks have talked about with mammoth elephant dna. I do believe he maybe still alive as a possibility as well, and if so, I don't want to hear he is back and awake and active and seeking revenge." You heard anything that might go towards folks reviving him?"

Stardust has posed:
"Mammoths would be much easier. The structure of the cells is the same. But if it's possible... I'll take your word for it. It's crazy how fast technology develops." She picks another couple of files and dismisses them quickly. A third file she goes through more slowly. "Oh. Apparently it could be done with nanotechnology. And it might also be possible to hybridize human DNA into a Kryptonian substrate fairly easily, but that's just speculation. Just fewer uh... stumbling blocks."

She pulls out a photo, stares at it a while, then shakes her head. "This guy is uuuugly. I wouldn't even want to punch that face. No, haven't heard anything about someone trying to revive him. Just Robin told me that Batman used uh... /kryptanynjriz/. What did he call it? Kryptonium? It's a metal salt from Krypton that emits a radiation that interferes with... well, you wouldn't expect him to actually die that quickly, is all."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well think the missile would be more what would to it. I don't think he is dead though, just does not ring true to me. I have a few people looking into things for me, but right now, this lady is my best lead.""

Stardust has posed:
Colette gives Tim a skeptical look. "A missile that wasn't powerful enough to total a cityblock, killing a Kryptonian who had been exposed to /kryptanynjriz/ for a very short space of time, is not considered a likely story by my sources." She shrugs her shoulders, closes the latest folder and slings it on the reject pile before leaning back. She's bored of looking through the files already, probably because no ancient Egyptian curses have manifested. Punching mummies would be fun. "How do you think she's connected? And if you think you know who the guy is, why not find him and ask him? If he's in SHIELD, ask them. Or Captain America. I've got his number if you need it."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "Cap might be useful, not sure how much other shield will be if they are trying to hide things then they keep hiding it, but Captain America, he is supposed to be a good guy so he might be able to find some people who would know.

Stardust has posed:
"I'll send him a message if you need me to. Yeah, he's a good guy." Colette gets to her feet, wanders over to the kitchen area, and opens the fridge. "Want a drink?" she calls over, pulling a bottle of water out for herself. "So. I've told you why I'm suspicious. What is it makes /you/ suspicious? I mean you don't have a couple of Kryptonians living in your head telling you to be suspicious, so what doesn't ring true about it to you?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake 's brow raises and says "Kryptonian in your head? A water would be good." He will tell the other and continues looking through stuff as they chat. Should not hurt it could give me a another head to bounce things off of." He does hmm a bit to her claiming to have kryptonians in her head but not knowing more about Kryptonite. It just does not make sense, all the things he has been through, folks who have been thought dead and came back. Just does not add up.

Stardust has posed:
Colette returns from the fridge with a couple of bottles of water. It's the fancy French brand she insists on keeping the place well stocked with, fizzy and with a strong mineral flavor. "Oh well. I suppose I shouldn't have told you about that. I'm being berated for going into too much detail now, but they berate me about things all the time. They're even worse than Raven." She hands one bottle over, unscrews the top of the other and takes a long drink before sitting back down again. "So just a gut instinct thing for you?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods a bit and says mostly. He will take a pen an draws the symbol of Raa "You know what this is?" he will ask handing it to her.

Stardust has posed:
Colette picks up the paper, saying "Nope," and studies it for a bit. "It's a Kryptonian glyph," she says after a few moments. "It... no. Wait. These two lines indicate that it's a... wait, let me explain that bit first. Shhh. Well you know in Egyptian Heiroglyphs? It's kind of similar. Symbols have sounds, and words are made up from symbols that have particular meanings. This is a /rao/ glyph, which indicates power and wisdom, things like that. It's part of a lot of different words. But the two lines are like... a royal name in Egyptian is just a bunch of words, but they put a kind of box around it, called a cartouche. This is similar, it means it's a name. /Rao/. That's the name of their sun. But like this, it's the symbol of /Rao i euredhuhs/, the church of Rao. They used to worship him as their chief god."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake he hmmms a bit to this and says "Good to know, so those in your head know of any other make Krytponians who might be on earth?" He will double check the symbol when he can but does file this away with the information he is gathering.

Stardust has posed:
"They've been dead for hundreds of... more." A flash of annoyance crosses Stardust's features. "They've been dead a long time. That'll do. They don't know anything about who's on Earth that I don't know. Which means, Superman, Supergirl, and possibly one other. There was one visiting earth a while back, can't remember his name. House of Zod. Other than that, there's at least one Daxamite. They're kind of an offshoot of the Kryptonians. Shouldn't count one of them out."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods typing into this wrist computer, and says "Well thats a bit more information, so maybe it will lead to something. I do appreciate the help Colette, this might be useful might not but all info helps

Stardust has posed:
Colette arches an eyebrow at Tim. "Information for information. I've told you what I know, now you can tell me a bit. Why are you asking about Rao? Or another Kryptonian?" She kicks back in her seat, shaking her head slightly. "The problem with you Robins is trust. You don't trust anyone. I think that's his influence on you. Figure you've got to solve everything yourselves, so you keep things close to your chest. Instinctively tell people the minimum you can to try to get the information you wanted. You're a Robin, but you're also a Titan. We're meant to be a team. So come on, spill it."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smirks a bit and says "Well been trying to lave most of the titans stuff to Damian. But as for as why I ask, someone is visiting the tomb wearing that symbol on a regular bases. He was there for the funeral as well. Thought it might have been superman himself but if someone is claiming to have his body means it is something else.

Stardust has posed:
Colette gives a smirk and shakes her head almost imperceptibly. "We don't belong to him, you know. If you're gonna be part of the team, no reason why you can't involve us in things you find out about. He's the leader, but only when he's not... you know. Being by his father's sick bed, or terrorizing his father's city. I don't think he's even been back to the tower since this happened. Talking of which, how is he? I mean... the big guy. How's he doing?"

"Ah. You know, there's an obvious thing to try." Colette looks out through the windows, staring at the distant skyline of Metropolis across the water, the tops of some of the taller buildings just about visible. "I mean go stake the place out. And ask him who his is. Though personally I might want to talk to Supergirl first. Just in case... well. She'd be the obvious person to bring in on this. She has a T-Com you know."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "I aint been able to catch her yet but I am trying, and the big guy is ok. As for his, it aint that I think of the titans as his, mine, Dick or anyone but there were to many who would look to me instead of him in the field. It is more trying to help him. He and I got enough issues without him resenting me for someone here calling me Robin

Stardust has posed:
"Simple, I just call you Red instead. I mean Nerd Robin, yeah. That's a thing too. But you guys need to be more imaginative. I gotta say I was relieved when I heard your latest recruit took the name Kestrel. I mean bird-themed still, but not yet another Robin. It helps. "

Colette turns back from the window to look at Tim. "Besides, you're missing the point. It's not about him. I mean he's not even here, you can't exactly be treading on his toes. Nobody's looking to him in the field if he ain't in the field. The closest we have to anyone filling in for him right now is me, and take my word for it when I say that's not the best idea. And I should know."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles a bit and says "Well I will see about getting him around but I don't know things don't seem to be falling apart to bad around here. Speaking of which will probably have Tim Drake stop by son with a friend of mine to take pictures. He knows who I am so won't be any worries about things coming out around him.

Stardust has posed:
"Leave him," Colette says with a shake of her head. "He's got enough to deal with right now. He's young. It's sort of easy to forget that sometimes. I mean he's like fifty and five at the same time instead of fifteen. Or I guess sixteen now, whatever. Point is, he has way too much on his shoulders right now. Let's not add more. As you say, things aren't actually falling apart here.

Colette looks sideways at Tim, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Hmm. A publicity thing?" she asks. "You should let Negasonic know. She handles a lot of our social media stuff these days. And just a thought, but how about having a little video where Tim gets to meet Red Robin? I know how to arrange that, if you think that might be... useful."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and says "Could be useful, and I figure get her to and my friend as well. He handle it from my side, her from you guys. Who ya thinking about getting to be me?"

Stardust has posed:
A grin spreads across Colette's face. "You. It's simple enough. Do it in the Danger Room. We can make it look like a different room in the Tower very easily, and there are already pretty damn realistic models of all the Titans in the Danger Room object database. You can even shake your own hand."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Thought maybe this Miss Martian if she has the same powers as Jonn." He will say in thought.

Stardust has posed:
Colette arches an eyebrow again, just the slightest rise. "She's a Ma'aleca'andran, so she should be able to shape shift, yeah. How are you going to explain to her why you want her to pretend to be you when you meet this Tim guy rather than meeting him yourself, though? I mean she seems nice enough, but I'm not sure you should be taking that kind of a risk with her until we know her better."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well, was thinking more along the line of you having her do a few different people telling her your giving me a more fufilling experience to meet more folks. But then again if she is a telepath it maybe a mute thing."

Stardust has posed:
"She's already assured me she keeps out of people's minds when she's not invited," Colette replies. "I think you're okay on that count. On the other hand if you want a shape shifter who wouldn't be learning anything they don't already know, talk to Vorp. " She picks up another file, opens it, then remembers she's bored of the files already and closes it up before returning it to the top of the pile. "I mean he's not a shape shifter, but he does illusions. If you want to do something more in-depth than the Danger Room is up to, he's your man. Or cat. Cat-man. "

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles and nods his head a bit to this and says "I guess miss martian came to mine cause I had manhunter go around as Superman when he was recovering before all this, and no. he is not who is Batman.

Stardust has posed:
A smirk flickers across Colette's lips and vanishes almost instantly. She gives a quick, business-like nod of her head. "I wouldn't expect anyone other than a Bat to replace the Bat. If I'm wrong, you guys made an error. The training becomes recognizable after a while."

Colette screws the lid back on her half-finished water bottle and picks it up, before standing. She rests a hand briefly on Tim's shoulder and says "Well, if you need any more help translating Kryptonian or whatever, you know how to contact me. Time I was getting on. Seeya around, Red. " She heads to the stairs to the women's dorm corridor and starts to climb. She stops halfway up to look curiously at Tim for a few moments, smirks again, shakes her head and continues walking.
