Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy takes care of it when a limo arrives at the front gate. He goes out, lets the car in, and walks two people in. One is a distinguished man in a pinstriped suit. The other is a small boy of about 5, who is one of the most obvious mutants you'll ever see. His skin is bright red, he has horns, a flicking tail, and ... uh... breathes fire. But he goes off to run and play in the yard, and a a couple older kids run out to throw around a football with him. He's having the time of is life.

Whichmakes the man in a suit tear up a little. Hank slaps his back. "Come on in. Thanks for coming out. Whether I can get a place for him in the school or not, I'll run through the corporation, and volunteer myself, any training and tutoring I can manage. Come on in." He then leads the man into the teacher's lounge. "Coffee? Have a seat."

"No thanks, I had too much on the way up." the man laughs, unbuttoning his jacket and sitting carefully.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde is on her way back from the boathouse, having made sure some of the boats that aren't likely to see use in the colder weather have been properly lifted out of the water where they won't be affected when the lake freezes later. She's wearing boots and jeans, and a yellow and black sweater that is the spitting image of Charlie Brown's usual shirt.

She spots the new arrival, pausing to join in the tossing around the football, and chases the boy around when he runs with the ball. After smiles and laughter with the group, Kitty waves farewell and heads towards the front doors where she sees the limo parked, and Hank and the man speaking.

Kitty walks up, giving them both a friendly smile. "Afternoon," she says, lifting a hand to shade her eyes from the sun. "Welcome to Xavier's School," she offers to the man.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy looks to Kitty, and smiles. "Good afternoon. Kitty Pryde, meet Michael Christodoulopoulos." If she's a football fan, she'll recognize him as the owner of the dynastic Boston Reveres of the NFL's NFC. The man will stand, and shake Kitty's hand if allowed to. "I'm helping him with his son, and invitedh im to talk about an idea I had for the X Corporation. Mutually beneficial."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty flashes the man a welcoming smile as she shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Christodoulopoloulos," she tells him. "Though I'm a Bears fan from Illinois, so we'll have to agree to disagree when it comes to the call in that game two weeks ago," she says in a light-hearted tone.

"Was that your son out there then? He seems like a great kid. Was having a great time with the others," she comments, looking back over to where they are currently letting him snap the ball for a field goal try. The kid making the kick launches the ball with his foot, while another mutant boy flies up to snatch it out of the air before it goes through the imaginary goal post.

Beast has posed:
Michael laughs. "Kitty," he says, his Greek accent very faint. The man's about 40, has a great tan, takes care of himself, and may be touching up that perfect, jet-black hair. "Kitty, well, all of the league's teams can't be blessed with the best quarterback in the history of the game, who had the heads up knowledge of the rule book to get the ruling he did." He then holds out a chair for Kitty before sitting himself. "That's Alex. Hank here says he... uh... what did you call it?"

"Had an idiopathic early onset of X Gene expression. It means we don't know why he mutated that early. Mike. If I knew all the ins and outs of the X Gene I wouldn't be blue."

Michael nods and smiles. "Thanks. Hank said there was a corporation looking to help mutants, and I could help raise money for it. I'm thinking two weeks after the pro bowl, I gather up all the pros I can, and we hold the X Bowl."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty takes the offered seat with a grateful expression. "Yes, it can really vary so much. Most mutants it seems things tend to change around puberty or adolescence, but then some are literally born with their ability, and others may not get it until late in life," she agrees.

"But for anyone, having others that make you feel you fit in, and that are good role models, is so important. The world seems to have caught on to that for women, for ethnic groups and religions. Unfortunately, not really for mutants, yet," Kitty adds, giving a little rueful expression and a shake of her head at the end. "But there are places trying to make a difference there. You've come to the right spot if you'd like to help with that. And to give Alex a chance for some of that kind of exposure too, if you choose."

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy nods. "Yeah. I have to admit I'd take personal pleasure in this X Bowl idea. Two teams of mixed pros and mutants, going head to head for fun. You really think you could get Brady Thompson to lead one team? I mean right there, you'll have half the country rooting for me."

Michael nods. "I hope so. He's met Alex, and I hope he's willing to help. And Kitty, so you think the school will take him in? I sure hope so. We'v ebeen home schooling him this year, to keep him out of a public kindergarten and all the problems that could arise there."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty glances over towards him. "Most of our students are older. We're really more of a preparatory school. But that said, I think we can manage something. I don't know that we'd be starting up a full kindergarten, our student body are all mutants and I'm not sure we'd have enough students to go back much beyond middle school," Kitty says.

"But," she quickly adds, "I think there is still plenty of opportunity for socializing Alex here, regardless of what ends up happening with actual classes. We have students who were also visibly mutants that young who can relate. And whether we have actual classes for that age or not, there are other kids who could use the same thing. I think it would be a fine thing if, at the least, we helped provide some structure and support around getting such kids together with each other," she suggests.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy nods to Kitty. "If I could give him some additional schooling here, and let him just... eat lunch with the other kids. Evenif they are a bit older, it's something. All the reasons you've said."

He then pauses. "What do you think of the X Bowl idea? With your uh... phasing... you could be a pretty good receiver."

Michael perks up at this phasing talk, and chuckles. "You know. If phasing means what I think it does, I could sign you to a one game contract, Kitty."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty nods in agreement about the additional schooling. "Something like an afterschool program a couple of times a week, I would think could be very possible and worthwhile. And in fact it could even be a stepping stone towards having enough kids with interested parents, maybe we could expand the grades we have full classes for," she agrees. "I'll be interested to hear the Professor's thoughts on it," she says.

Kitty lets out a laugh and says, "Well, it probably is what you're thinking. Though not the kind of notoriety I'd be wanting. Not to mention I'd probably go sign with Chicago!" she says, the last part given a warm joking tone.

Kitty picks up a cup and then phases her hand through it to demonstrate for Michael.

Beast has posed:
Michael gawks at Kitty's display. "I'd met Hank. His mutation is a lot like Alex's. I never quite understood what he meant about extraordinary powers like that though. Now I do. The league would want my hide, and probably nullify the game. They'd try to forfeit me but they'd never get that through."

Hank laughs. "Well, Kitty. If not the real pro season, how about the X Bowl? We're going to be going around and getting volunteers. We can give you a nickname, or you can go by Shadowcat or whatever you want, keep you with a visor on and out of sight."

Shadowcat has posed:
"Sure, if it's for charity or the X-Corp or whatever, I'd be happy to take part," Kitty agrees. "Though, maybe best if I just went in for a play or two. Maybe a surprise sack of the quarter as the little lady runs right through all the big burly blockers? Otherwise I'd probably score a touchdown every time you give me the ball."

Even amongst the other mutants, there are only a few who would be able to affect her while she's phased. Then again, she'd have problems stopping many others too. "I think it'd have to be that kind of game though. Like a Harlem Globetrotters kind of experience? Is that what you're going for, Hank?" she asks.

Beast has posed:
Michael nods. "It's for the X Corporation charity. I haven't met Roberto Da Costa yet, but Hank vouches for him, and anyone Hank vouches for on mutant protection, I'm willing to support. I'll do anything for Alex. And I like that. Make it fun."

Hank nods in agreement. "That' s just the right spirit. Only there will be Globetrotters on both sides. And NFL stars to make it clear just what we can do. Me, I'm going to go straight up against them. Just once, to know I can do it. Against the best line we can recruit."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty nods as she listens, crossing one leg over the other and lacing her fingers over he knee. "Sounds like it should be a good time. We need to make sure the players get in their victories too. Give everyone something to cheer for," she says with a nod. "I think it's a great idea, Hank. And Mr. Christodoulopoloulos, it's great of you to be willing to get your players involved, the ones who are willing. Roberto's great, he's been a friend for years. I think you'll be pretty impressed when you meet him and hear what's putting together there," Kitty shares.

She looks over, watching Alex playing with the others. They seem to have paused as he shows off his fire-breathing. "Oh my. I imagine you've got some fireproofing at home," she says with a soft chuckle, but also a reassuring look as if she and Hank know what Michael has likely gone through.

Beast has posed:
Michael lafts and stands, going to look out the window himself. "Alex, careful" he yells out, then busts out the door to run and make sure Alex isn't hurting anyone. "Hank laughs. "I guess that's a yes then."
