Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Karen Page, Daredevil

Karen Page has posed:
It hasn't been too long since Karen was stabbed and brought to Claire Temple for impromptu mending. The whole thing was a bit of a crazy evening and while Karen attempted to get right back into work, the wound in her side did not exactly lend itself to that sort of drive. As such, she's called in sick for the next week while she recovers, though she hates the fact that she's not there in the office.

Her only consolation is that she brought home some files and some notes to work with. There's also the newspapers and a few scribbled on notepads with the beginnings of articles scattered about her coffee table. Karen, herself, is on the couch, eyes closed for the moment, head leaning back against the pillows.

Daredevil has posed:
The whole thing was...awkward, for a whole host of reasons. Claire got the card of a good window repair guy who used to be a client of Nelson and Murdock and who owes the firm a favour. They gave her a hell of a deal to get it fixed.
Matt's done a lot of praying for Karen and a lot of penance for keeping things from her. But, naturally, that does nothing to ease his conscience or stop his worry.
There's a gentle rap at the door. "Karen? It's Matt."

Karen Page has posed:
The rap on her door is met with a few blinks and a pause. Matt. What is he doing here?Pushing herself up from the sofa, she makes her way over to the door and unlocks it without looking through the peep hole. She knows his voice and she's not expecting any sort of tricks.

"Matt," she greets with a bit of a smile, her voice both pleased and curious. She doesn't step away from the door just yet, not quite inviting him in. "Is there something wrong?"

Daredevil has posed:
Matt is holding a bag that is dappled with grease. "Just wanted to see how you're doing." He lifts the bag a little and says, "I brought pad thai." He smiles sheepishly.

Karen Page has posed:
Karen gives a soft laugh. There's a bit of a wince as that pulls at her wound, but she only makes a face, tries not make any sound. "You didn't have to come all the way here to do that. You could have called." However, she steps aside to allow Matt and his pad thai into her apartment. "Not to say I don't appreciate it, but I feel bad for making you come all this way. I'm fine."

Daredevil has posed:
"We should've insisted someone go with you to that building." Matt smiles and opens his mouth a little, then shakes his head. "I know you still probably would have said you were fine, but still. It's the nagging that counts." He reaches out to slide his fingers along the front of her door to guide himself into her apartment. "I've also got mango salad and spring rolls."

Karen Page has posed:
Karen rolls her eyes, which she also knows that he cannot see, but it's a natural instinct that she cannot repress. "I'm a grown up, Matt. I made the decision to go on my own and I don't need a babysitter." There's a bit of annoyance in her tone, but she doesn't sound angry. "I wasn't expecting a stabbing, I know, but now we know we're onto something. I wouldn't have gotten stabbed if there wasn't."

Despite herself, she laughs. "If you don't watch yourself you'll do an excellent impression of my mother. Come in, sit down. There's a couch right over here." With an hand outstretched, she offers to guide Matt straight to their seats.

Daredevil has posed:
"It was a bad neighbourhood at night. It would have been just as dangerous to Foggy alone too." Matt doesn't have to say himself. Blind man, bad neighbourhood? Bad scene. Well, unless you're Daredevil. He takes her hand with the hand that isn't holding the grease-stained bag. "I hope I gave a good tip and I didn't overpay. It wasn't my usual place. It's the one around the corner from here."

Karen Page has posed:
"It's Hell's Kitchen at night, Matt," Karen says, dismissive of the danger. While it's possible she's being flippant, it's also possible that she doesn't quite know the actual danger she could be in. Of course, what with her personal past from which he knew her? It's very likely that she knows how dangerous this neighborhood can be. "It can be dangerous to everyone. Foggy included, sure. But, this is important I'm not going to let it sit to the side to wait."

Gently, Karen leads him to the couch and takes the bag from him. "It smells delicious. And if it's the place I think it is, I've ordered from them before. They have great mango rolls."

Daredevil has posed:
"It's Hell's Kitchen at night, Karen," Matt repies. Because he knows how much worse the streets would be if he didn't prowl it in his alter ego, "We should all be more careful." And then, he carefully sets the bag down. But that's enough dwelling on the dangers of the streets. "Are you working on any articles?"

Karen Page has posed:
"I know," Karen tells Matt with a bit of a sigh. "But, that's why we're doing all this." Her voice speaks of conviction, of a need and desire to do good and lift up the neighborhood and its circumstances. The bag is set down and she goes to get plates from her kitchen area, as well as forks. They're set down on the coffee table and she starts to pull out the take out.

The question of the article is met with a pause. "I am," she says a bit hesitantly. "There's a lot of tensions about the city. I'm starting to try and work through them. Maybe make an article about what is causing them, who is behind a lot of the criminal activity."

Daredevil has posed:
Matt bites his lower lip. Super senses or not, one thing he's lousy at is facial expressions. That's part of the reason his mask covers so much and he usually lurks around in the dark. He looks like he's about to say something but thinks better of it. Instead, he feels around for the bag until he pulls out a container of mango salad, a wax bag with four spring rolls and two containers of pad thai. "How are you feeling?" he asks, chin jutting forward to indicate her injury.

Karen Page has posed:
"What?" While Matt may not be good at reading facial expressions, Karen is. So, she immediately picks up on his paused question and can't help but ask about it. "Is it about the article I'm intending to write?" Taking the mango salad from him, she starts to dish out pad thai and food to both the plates and then hands it out to him along with a fork. "I'm alright. I want to get back to work."

Daredevil has posed:
"Nothing," says Matt with a slow shake of his head. "I'm glad you're still getting articles. You know we'll be as flexible as we can be with interviews and late nights." He feels around for chopsticks, then snaps them apart. "Tell me more about it."
