Cast of Characters: Pixie, Triage

Pixie has posed:
Halloween had been a crazy, fun-filled night for some people, and while Megan was too old for trick-or-treating, she wasn't too old for partying..Too bad she'd fallen in with the wrong crowd and they had spiked the punch. For some reason, she could still get drunk, even though most medicines didn't work well on her. Must be to do with her liver. Whatever the case, she'd been up early in the gardens, looking for some fresh air even though it was a little crisp and cool this morning. She also looks a little pale and sickly, her eyes red-rimmed, her pink hair sticking out at crazy angles as she sits with her head between her legs on one of the benches. "uuuugh...Whyyy did I go to that parrty?" she groans.

Triage has posed:
Chris has come outside for a walk after breakfast and before work starts. He strolls along a well-worn path, listening to the few birds that have not started their migrations, or are permanent residents. The distinctive sound of a voice catches his ear. He cocks his head and ventures into the garden. He listens again to get the direction of the sound. Then he heads toward a stone bench in the corner. Seeing the shock of vibrant pink, disheveled hair, he walks more slowly, cautiously. "Megan?" he asks. It was the morning after Halloweeen, after all, and someone could have dressed in costume as the Pixie.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn is in fact still in costume, although her costume is not very creative. She literally went as a fairy, with her natural hair and wings, and a fluffy fancy fairy tutu that makes her look like 'Tehna' of the Winx club. It consists of a violet train dress that is shorter in the front, trailing in the back and covered in sparkles, with lots of frills and blue-green ribbons tied around her legs, and a cute green tiara over her pink hair.

Although she shivers a bit in the early morning air - probably too out of it to really notice the cold probably. Sitting on the seat next to her is a bag full of candy - guess they were handing out candy at the club too, not that she needs more sugar with her energy levels - usually.

She peers up at Triage, offering a weak smile. "Oh, hey Triage. How's it going? Hope you had a better Halloween than me. Remind me never to drink so many different sweet, sugary drinks all at once again.." she groans, rubbing her eyes. She probably already missed her fist class.

Triage has posed:
Triage steps closer, still eyeing Megan closely, his face showing concern. "Here it's Just Chris," he answers, recognizing the voice instantly. "If I'd been there, I'd have warned you." He unzips his hoodie, shrugs out of it, and reaches to drape it over her shoulders. "Was it only sugar? Nothing else?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn pouts. "Buuut, it was sooo cool and super secret and exclusive. And the party was super fuun!" even if she didn't know anyone there and it was a little scary at times when people pulled her wings and suspected she was a mutant, and in her nervousness she accidently let some of her pixie dust hit some people which just made things a bit worse.

"Ooh, that feels soo much better. This costume's pretty but not very practical.." she gratefully takes the hoodie, clutching it tightly and sighs. "Ooh, they had punch. Really yummy punch. Only..It made me feel funny. I figured even if it DID have alcohol in it, I'd be immune to it, but I guess alcohol affects you differently than some medicines."

She shrugs and laughs, "It was great! I almost felt what it was like when other people are under my 'spell' only...Now I have a major headache and cant stop vomiting..Don't worry, I think my stomach's empty now!"

Triage has posed:
"Things were quiet here, probably because so many people went to parties," Chris says. "I don't know much about your metabolism, so I can only guess. Would too much sugar cause you to have headaches and vomiting? I know that some women have those symptoms for ... other reasons." He looks at the bag of candy. Then he suggests, "If sweets are that bad for you, then you might want to give away the candy."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn grimaces. "Aww, right. That whole, 'no leaving the premises without an escort' rule..Uh..How about we just keep this little party incident a secret between the two of us? No one has to know that I....Kinda slipped off somewhere.." on her own no less. "I dunno really. I digest things pretty quickly though, but I've never really experimented with alcohol til last night. That was a great night, just don't remember half of it.." she makes a face, reaching for the candy, "Wha? Give up all this hard earned candy? But it's so sugary and sweet and...Didja want some?" she offers him a chocolate bar, and at least it's good quality candy!

Triage has posed:
"I just came from breakfast but this will be a good mid-morning snack," Chris admits, taking the chocolate bar from Megan. He chuckles. "If you have a headache and vomiting, and can't remember half of what happened, I think that you've had your punishment already." He nods to her. "So it's our secret. Only be careful. Okay?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn giggles and nods, rubbing her temples. "Thanks! Next time I'll definitely bring an escort..Maybe you can come with me. It was a great party, you would have liked it.." she smiles as she reaches for a package of jellybeans. "Ughh, I totally missed breakfast, but I can run on sugar for a bit longer.." Megan is silent a few moments as she slowly chews on her juicy jellybeans, pondering something. "The other day when you healed me, you said something about me having magic in me...Would it be totally out there to think that I might be some sorta magical creature instead of a mutant..Y'know, like the Winx fairy Bloom..? It would explain a lot.."

Triage has posed:
"That's why I mentioned it," Chris answers while Megan chews the jelly beans. "I'm not sure. Some genetic tests might tell if you /were/ a mutant but I haven't seen research on a test to /disprove/ it." He shrugs. "It would mean getting samples of DNA from you and your parents, which is another thing. In a few cases, the mutation is so obvious, and the parents so unwilling to accept their own child, that they give up the child for adoption almost from birth." He crosses his arms and sighs. "If you have friends who know about magic, I'm sure that they might have ways to detect if a person or thing is magical. That might be a path to follow. It would be important to know if you stay here and someone needs to treat you for something."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs and shakes her head slowly. "Buuut...That would mean my parents aren't really my parents. I couldn't imagine how that could be true! Annd..My dad's dead now so..." Megan sighs a little, the memory making her a little sad. However, mouthfuls of candy help to distract her for now, at least. "And I always thought I was just a mutant but..Now I dunno. I can't imagine my parents lied to me all those years. They were the only family I knew, and I love them..They'd never do that!"

Megan seems a bit saddenned at the thought now, glistenning wings drooping a bit, taking on a greyish color in response to her emotions. "Yeah, there's Illyana, she's been teaching me magic, although lately she's been harder to find. I'd like to learn more about magic, and my history though. Maybe it's time I visited my birthplace and did a little research.."

She bites her lip, pondering. "Y'know, Bloom was like that too, she was raised as a human on earth, until one day she discovered she had magic powers and could transform into a fairy, and that she was a princess from a far away world where her parents were fairies..It's kinda romantic! Only...I just can't believe that my parents aren't really my parents..That'd be too horrible..And besides, Professor Xavier DID discover me through cerebro, so doesn't that make me a mutant?" except there's the whole thing about her being able to use magic..Which most people cannot just do like that. Not so easily anyway.

Triage has posed:
"It's possible that even your parents didn't know," Chris considers. "I remember reading stories as a child, about changelings. They were usually called faeries in the tales, and almost always female. The faerie would go to the house of someone who had a new baby. She, the faerie, would swap her baby for the human one, and the human parents would raise the faerie baby as their own, never knowing about its real home and world. In some cases, the child became a benefactor to the parents, helping them in magical ways." He shakes his head. "People think that such things are only stories for children, but what if they're wrong?" He frowns. "I think that looking into your family might help, but you should ask others, like Illyana, if they can help."

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn arches a brow, "Changelings? That's kinda creepy. I mean, I read a story like that once but...." she sighs and shakes her head. "Well I mean, why would a fairy do that to her own baby, abandonning it and letting it live a lie? It's kinda mean, isn't it? Even so...It just doesn't add up. I mean, even if I WAS slipped in there by a fairy mother, it still doesn't explain why Cerebro picked me up...Ugggh it's sooo very confusing, and it's giving me an even bigger headache now.." she pouts, "I wish Illyana were easier to find..I wonder who else knows about magic though, who is not so grumpy and whom I don't have a personal grudge against?"
