Synopsis:	Canary spoke with Captain Marvel about a shift in her area of operations and a new game plan has been agreed upon.

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake has been decidedly absent from Alpha Flight the last - well it has been quite a while, now, hasn't it?

Having been touring the east coast, the prodigal has returned but one must wonder for how long?

making her way through the mansion the blonde paused in the kitchen to grab an apple, taking a crisp bite of it. Seeing movement through the doorway she entered the dining room to find Carol present.

"Carol. Hey there." A smile as she munches on the apple and swallows. "I wanted to try and catch you. But I didn't think I'd be this lucky, as busy as you are." She laughs lightly "Maybe I should try the lottery this week."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"Oh, this isn't me, it's a hologram - I'm actually fighting in a billion year war with the Star Wraiths out by the Outer Magellenic Cloud."

Carol puts the finishing touches on her sandwich, looking it over critically and then lifting it up to take a bite. She's not seated at the table, apparently preferring to walk around with the plate in one hand and her meal in the other. As she passes Dinah, she gives her a light and playful bump with her shoulder.

"Just kidding. How's things?"

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake laughs. "You say that like I wouldn't believe it was actually true." She takes another bite from the apple and turns to walk along behind the other blonde. "Still. It would complicate things. More than usual I mean."

"I wanted to catch up with you. Touch bases. The band is getting close to starting our tour and I wanted to talk to you about how I can keep on with my duties to Alpha at the same time." Because what hero isn't so busy they aren't doing fifty projects at the same time?

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"I understand everyone's got lives," Carol explain, putting the sandwich back down on the plate and holding it before her, "That's the whole deal with this super-powered gig. It isn't all former military types without anything but missions and duty. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. I actually went shopping last week, if you can believe it - and to a birthday party, as well."

But now Carol gives it a little more thought, twisting her mouth as she does so: "Well, I suppose we could get you outfitted with a communications device if you don't already have one. That way we can call you in if we really need the assistance?"

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake nods. "Oh, I understand. Given those of us with military backgrounds, it's not really any different. Sometimes." She eyeshifts playfully. "A birthday party and shopping? Okay, now I know you're really out in space and left us a hologram to work with!"

Leaning against the wall with her shoulder, she nods. "I've got a comm. But, well, I guess this is going to be more of a migration. I've ended up spending a lot of time in Gotham the last couple months and that has resulted in rubbing shoulders with Oracle and the Birds of Prey and helping them out when I can as well." She looks at Carol. "I don't think I need to, and I don't want to, quit Alpha. But... yeah. I think maybe a secondary role? Backup? I mean with the portal it isn't like I can't get here for a couple days or anything, right? I just wanted to talk to you about it directly and get your feelings on it."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"You don't need to quit," Carol assures her, shaking her head and lifting one hand to wave it, "Alpha Flight always has the hard core who dedicate every hour to it - but even I'm not one of those. I put just as much time, if not more, into the Avengers in New York. The truth is, we're an outfit put together for when we're needed - and I know you're capable of mobilizing to get out here when you're needed."

She takes a deep breath, "Now, if you're serious about stepping back then we can do that. But really, I don't think you've got anything to worry about. Zetaports exist now. Going bi-coastal is a matter of just ... "

She snaps her fingers for emphasis.%

Black Canary has posed:
Dinah Drake smiles at the affirmation. "Thank you Carol. That was what I have come to expect from the team but it wasn't something I was going to demand." She then laughs. "Bi-coastal. That sounds like a new lifestyle!" A grin. "Nah. I think I'm good for now? But if I start lagging behind, I expect you to whip me into shape, yeah? I'm not about to get accused of sandbagging it!"
