Halloween at Club Mjolnir
Date of Scene: 10 November 2019
Location: Club Mjolnir, Hell's Kitchen
Synopsis: A Halloween party took place at Club Mjolnir, and a good time was had by all.
Cast of Characters: Hela, Red Hood, Fairchild, Supergirl, Moonstar, Shadowcat

Hela has posed:
While Club Mjölnir is very much ingrained in its overarching theme of paying homage to the Eddas and Norse culture of old, Mythologies and all, it does still cater to the holidays to draw in the crowds much as any place in the city. Sure, there's the twist of Draugir animatronics instead of Mummies, but there are some Werewolves, one particularly huge wolf head been attached to the ceiling as if looking down at the revellers and considering its next meal. Music is appropriately darker in flavor tonight, and yet, there is still dancing, drinking and feasting to be had.

The proprietess herself, 'Miracle' Elle, has deigned to don a costume, albeit she came dressed as a Shield Maiden, sword, armor, shield and all. She stand at atop the bar's counter, slamming her sword against her shield to draw the crowd's attention. "Club Mjolnir is proud to host this Halloween party, please, enjoy yourselves and honor your ancestors with a toast or six. Skål!"

With that opening greeting, she hops off the bar counter, and holds aloft a tankard of mead, before downing it like a pro drinker.

Red Hood has posed:
It was late when Jason left the Cave but he was in no mood to sleep, thankfully Halloween offered a lot of options for people in his situation and all it took was a quick search on his phone to find a Halloween party that piqued his interest.

An hour later, his bike was parked out front of Club Mjolnir and 'Batman' was walking into the party. Okay, it was minimalist Batman, which meant a cheap dollar store Batman mask that only covered Jason's eyes and forehead, a cheap Batman t-shirt bought at the same dollar store and his usual black leather motorcycle jacket and black cargo pants.

"And Carrie thinks she's the only costumer in the family," he quipped to himself as he walked inside. He knew the costume was trash, but he was here to drink and have a good time, he'd leave the costume prizes for those who had the time.

He makes it just in time for the toast, snagging someone's drink when they're back is turned he raises the glass, and downs its contents, before heading to the bar to buy one of his own.

Fairchild has posed:
There are some cheers and whoops as two groups unite. One already at a staked-out table and the other coming in the entrance. It's a motley crew of pirates, ghosts, and a lot of slightly-too-tame costumes for anything less than people coming from a mandatory corporate office party. Indeed, a few people duck into the bathrooms for strategic outfit changes.

The only Disney Princess among them is a redhead trailing at the rear of the pack, urged on by nudges from a slightly older woman who looks like a supervisor. Dressed as Merida, blue gown and all, Caitlin drifts towards the table of employees from Stark Industries. Her toy bow looks almost comically small against her left hip, but it at least helps sell the outfit. The natural frizz of her red hair certainly lends itself to the look. Drinks are ordered; Caitlin wrinkles her nose and politely declines an offered shot. "Can I just get a coke and lime, please?" she requests of the waiter before he can leave.

Supergirl has posed:
And what was Kara Danvers dressed as? Well. She was dressed as Pikachu. Sorta. She had on a yellow blousey top, and yellow skirts that reached down a little past her leg, black sneakers, and behind herself bobbed a tail. She didn't have makeup or anything on, though, just one of those pikachu hoodies with the ears sticking way out there, red cheeks, and eyes. She did have her hair mostly tucked inside of the hoodie, though!

Bringing up her phone, she sends a few texts to some of her friends. You know. The ones that talked her into a halloween party in a Nordic mead hall, who CHOSE NOT TO SHOW UP THEMSELVES!

And her superhearing (that Kara Danvers didn't have, because Kara Danvers was NOT SUPERGIRL) picks up the sound of Merida ordering a coke and lime. And it was against the bar next towards Merida that PiKara sets her arms upon the bar, and says to the tender. "And root beer! Nothing with alcohol, though," she says, casting a smile up towards Caitlin afterwards.

"Hi! I'm Kara," she says. "And my friends ditched me here," she says, sticking out her lower lip in a momentary false pout.

Moonstar has posed:
Dani Moonstar walks into Club Mjolnir, more curious than anything. Her eyes scan the area under her cosplay of Wonder Woman, including magical lasso and tiara that always seems to be falling into her eyes. She was going with the classic version of the costume, and it was strangely of very high quality. Amazon Princess indeed.

Within this costume was her weapons of course. A shield on her back that was strangely smelling of fresh paint. The sword that wasn't quite "cosplay A+" version, and looks like her own sword. Her boots were the ones she wore riding Brightwind. All in all, she looked like WW with a few modifications.

Moving past Jason Todd, and walking up to the bar after a sideways glance at Kara and then Caitlin, Dani orders a whiskey and seven. After her failed attempt to order Asgardian alcohol. Hurumph. Dis-app-oint-ing!

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin looks over (down) at Kara and flashes a sympathetic smile. "Pikapika?" she offers, and then laughs at her own silliness. "Sorry, I couldn't resist," she apologizes. Her tone is earnest. "I'm not really a drinker, either. Did you get dragged down for an office party too?" she inquires, pitching her voice low so it doesn't carry to her co-workers. As if nudged into thinking about them she looks over at the group she'd arrived with. Most of them are hitting the shots pretty hard with the ribald sort of enthusiasm that's almost certainly going to lead to an HR complaint in the morning. None of them seem to care too much at the moment, though!

Hela has posed:
Caitlin gets her order of coke and lime, along with quite a few curious looks, least of all the one from Elle who takes interest in her choice of costume. Naturally, Elle has no clue what a Princess Merida or Disney even are, but she appreciates the addition of a bow...even if a toy one, to a princess getup. Enough to incline her head at Caitlin and offer, "a Warrior Princess?" She asks curiously.

In the meantime, dollar store Batman gets quite a few cheers and pats on the back, seems the Dark Knight is popular in New York City as well. People tend to appreciate when someone takes it to crime literally.

Meanwhile Kara gets her root beer, served in a tankard for a touch up. Elle for her part, looks puzzled by Kara's costume, as she looks her way and asks, "a yellow mouse creature?"

Dani appearing in a Wonder Woman costume draws quite a bit of attention, and perhaps more than just a bit of oogling. Of those taking interest is Elle herself, who approaches with a pleasant smile about her lips. "Lovely choice, the Amazon Princess is a well respected woman."

Dani's order of whiskey is served in a traditional whiskey glass, no matter your theme, whiskey simply isn't to be messed with.

Supergirl has posed:
"Pikapika!" Kara says in response to Caitlin. . She tries on the high pitched voice, much to the delight of people everywhere (or not). "Nope, I'm a student, so I don't end up in any office parties," she says. Leaning forward, she whispers to Caitlin, as if sharing a dark secret, "And I'm not really allowed to drink, either. I think my friends are playing a prank on me," she says, straightening up with a little bit of a sniff.

"Is Merida your favorite?" she asks. "Or are you just wearing that, because, you know... redhead," she says, pointing at her own hair. Well. Her Pikahood right now.

Hela is looked to next, as her eyes light up at the mug of root beer. "Wow!" she enthuses. "In a tankard and everything? Thank you!" A beat. "And yep. A little rat that shoots lightning out of its... uhm... body somewhere," she says. "They're very fierce," she enthuses. "And very cute."

Red Hood has posed:
Jason rolls his eyes at the praise for the Batman. That's what he gets for dressing up like Dad... huh, there was a whole raft of issues a psychologist could dive into but for now a bottle of Bat Issue repellant (aka whiskey) was all he needed. Passing of his empty glass to one of his well-wishers, Jason hits up the bar grabbing a seat beside Dani. "Wonder Woman, right?" he asks making conversation while he waits for the bartender's attention.

When he gets it he puts a couple rumpled fifties on the bar, "Whiskey, something from the top shelf, actually make it the middle but leave the bottle."

Moonstar has posed:
Turning at the voice after grabbing the glass, Dani Moonstar, in between sips of her drink, looks at Elle and says, "Thank you! She is. That is one of the reasons I chose her!" Dani adjusts her tiara again, and blows upwards, to try and get her hair out of her eyes. "Hel, this thing doesn't want to stay!"

Looking back at Elle, and ignoring the oggling, Dani says, "Hi. Dani Moonstar." Dani crosses her arms, her right hand holding the whiskey glass. "Do I know you?"

Dani looks over at Kara and Caitlin, and calls out, "Great costumes!" Especially after Kara's describing the costume so...fiercely. "I like them! Pikapika?" Not sure what that is, she just dives into the fun. Turning slightly to nod at Jason, Dani says, "Right!" With a wink and a smile. "Good choice in drink!" She offers her glass to salute Jason's choice.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin laughs at Kara's spot-on impression. She nods along empathetically with Kara's plight; sure sucks to be the butt of the joke. The soda's slid over and Caitlin mouths a 'thank you' at Hela, and carefully holds the cocktail straws to sip through rather than risk smudging her (very modest) lipgloss.

"Mm!" Kara's question catches her mid-sip and Caitlin nods, then breaks and laughs. "I mean, no, she's not my favorite, but this is the easiest costume I could think of that didn't require a wig or something. All I had to do was not brush my hair flat after my shower. Is Pikachu *your* favorite?"

Dani's complaint catches Caitlin's attention and she reaches up into that hedge of unbridled red hair to extract a barette that was keeping a few wispy curls tucked up. "Here, I don't need it," Caitlin says, and flashes a smile before offering to help Dani pin her hair back or simply offer the barrete over itself.

Shadowcat has posed:
The doors open up to admit Kitty Pryde. The party the night before she went as the party's hostess, but this time she's donned a different costume, one she'd picked up earlier. Bell bottoms, a vest with fringes, John Lennon sunglasses and a flower in her hair, plus a groovy belt, have Kitty looking like quite the hippy.

The hippy chick walks in and looks around the place, moving her sunglasses to her forehead to see better as she seeks out any familiar faces. She doesn't spot Dani yet, nor Jason, and so moves into the club deeper. She also has only met Kara the one time, not enough to have spotted her face as being familiar. Hippy Kitty wanders slowly through the crowd, smiling to people as she slides past, heading slowly towards the bar.

Hela has posed:
Elle happens to be one of those who doesn't get the 'pikapika' exchange between Kara and Caitlin, but she doesn't seem upset by it, just, puzzled. When Kara explains the Pikachu costume, Elle doesn't seem any less puzzled, she merely notes, "I've never encountered such a creature..."

"Tiaras can be bothersome," Elle agrees with Dani, looking to find the struggle of 'Wonder Woman' to keep her tiara in place quite amusing, "Dani Moonstar is a lovely name," she remarks, before extending her hand, "I am oft referred to as 'Miracle Elle', you may have heard of me...you can call me Elle." Unlike Dani, she doesn't provide a last name.

Elle turns to consider Kitty when she walks in, looking just as puzzled at her costume as she was with Kara's. Instead, she turns to look at 'Wonder Woman', offering in jest, "perhaps we can do a friendly sparr later," referring to Dani's sword which doesn't look very much like a prop, just as Elle's own sword for her Shield Maiden costume doesn't quite look like a prop.

Supergirl has posed:
"Well if you do encounter it, catch it, and you can sell it for like a million dollars!" enthuses Kara to Hela at that, holding onto her root beer and bringing it easily to her lips to take a sip of the same. This causes her ears to flip just a bit.

"I don't know about /favorite/," she says easily to Caitlin. "But it is a fun costume. And kinda easy. I just had to find the skirt and top. And the hoodie, I guess," she says, grinning to her and Dani both.

"Wonder Woman is so cool - great choice!" Kara adds on to the pile of compliments for Dani.

Red Hood has posed:
Trading the money for the bottle, Jason pours himself his first drink, nodding to Dani as he does. "Thanks," he says about his drink choice even if he's not sharing, as his attention turns to Ellie when she makes introductions with Dani.

"Hey," Jason grins putting away his first shot. "Don't hold off on the sparring on my account," he says before pouring his next. He may be off-duty but he got the sense both ladies could actually hold their own in a fight, likely more than that.

He still hadn't noticed Kitty however, her face blending in with all the other costume wearing guests for now.

Moonstar has posed:
Turning around so Caitlin can help, Dani Moonstar allows the woman to pin her hair back. "Thank you! It has been giving me issues all night! I usually keep my hair in ponytails, wrapped in leather, but this costume wasn't going to go with that!" Dani lets the woman finish, and turns, noting it works! "Better! Much better!" Smile!

As the door opens, Dani can see who arrives since she was now pointed in that direction! Noticing that she hasn't seen her yet, Dani waves towards the new arrival. "Oh! Kitty! Over here! Nice costume!"

Turning back to Elle, Dani says, "They can be. Never wore one before." Dani narrows her eyes ever so slightly. "Thank you." Dani takes a moment to say the same to Kara. Then, back to Elle. "Dani is a good name. Elle it is. Nice to meet you."

Taken a bit aback at the offer to spar, just for a second, her hesitation turns into a smile. "Sounds like fun. I will be there." She looks I also like your costume. Very...accurate and wonderfully ancient. Nice touches." Dani doesn't reply to Jason, although she does smile, with a "wolfish" grin back at him.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty almost gets to the bar when she hears her name called. She turns and looks about, soon spotting Dani there. A big grin breaks out on the hippy girl's face and she changes direction to head over to join her instead.

Kitty's path takes her right past Jason. She glances up at his Batman mask, and it sends a brief pang of emotion through her as it recalls the state of the original to the forefront of her thoughts. But she just says, "Great mask," trying to cover for that brief bit of emotion as she moves past him.

"Dani, you look amazing," Kitty says, eyeing the costume and flashing a big smile to her friend. The hippy girl looks over to those with Dani to give them friendly smiles as well. "Hello, I'm Kitty," she offers.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin manages to pin back the bulk of what's flipping into Dani's face, and uses the barrete to help hold the tiara more or less where it needs to stay. "Sorry, I only have the one on me," Caitlin apologizes. "It's a great outfit though!" she advises Dani. Apparently Wonder Woman is the hit of the tavern.

She backs up to make room for Kitty to meet Dani, and for Jason to weigh in on the verbal jousting between Dani and Elle. It's a retreat to the firmer ground of Kara's non-drinking company. "Sorry. Uh, the outfit-- so it's not like an off-the-rack costume? That's cool," Caitlin admires. "I wish mine was that easy. I had to buy a sewing machine and make it myself." She turns and looks down at the outfit. Given her sheer height and stature, that can hardly be a surprise. The stitchwork isn't bad, though.

Hela has posed:
"Is that so...?" Elle seems to take Kara at face value, not quite getting there's a joke that's going over her head at the moment. When Dani greets the hippie as 'Kitty', Elle notes rather dryly, "she is not dressed as a cat," failing to register Kitty may well be a name.

"As one could tell from a look at my establishment, that era really speaks to me," Elle grants to Dani, as she bows with a flourish. Just so happens Dani would be better equipped to judge how accurate it is than most.

Moonstar has posed:
"Thanks." Dani says to Caitlin, once more, truly appreciative of the help. "You too! I love your outfit! Very cool and fun!" Dani Moonstar doesn't notice the looks at this time, as a lot was happening around her. All these new people. Kara, Caitlin. Dani nods to Kara. "I think your costume looks great. I'm Dani. Nice to meet you." That was especially for Caitlin, Jason and Kara, mostly.

"Oh...and this is Kitty!" Dani introduces Kitty to the small crowd around her. "Kitty this is Elle...she's got an amazingly accurate costume. I'm jealous." She introduces the one person she knows. "...and these are, well, the gang!" Letting them do their introductions. "Thank you Kitty! You look great yourself! I love it! Your costume rocks!"

Red Hood has posed:
Jason's round when Dani calls out for Kitty, but only for a moment, I mean there had to be other Kitties in the world right? But apparently not...the Kitty that makes her way over, is exactly the one that came to mind when he first heard the name. Suddenly the outfit and the drinking seems as disrespectful as he meant it to be, but it was one thing to wear it where nobody he knew him and knew Bruce could see it, it was different when they could, especially if the person in the know was Kitty.

The nice mask comment earns a murmured, "Thanks," and that's where he should have slipped away, no harm, no foul, but instead he pulls off the mask and puts on a sardonic smirk that was just as much of one as he calls after her, "Wouldn't have figured that it'd only take a dollar store mask to fool Kitty Pryde, I heard she was super smart or something."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty smiles to Hela as she mentions ownership of the club. "Oh, you onw it? Well, it's a great place. I was in here for someone's birthday not too long ago. My first time, but definitely worth another visit, I figured," Kitty says warmly. "Well, not dressed as a Kitty, just my nickname. Katherine. Kat. Kitty," she explains.

She grins over to Dani. "Thanks. I picked this up awhile ago, but wore something else out with Peter last night," she says with a glance down at her hippy costume.

Kitty hears someone else call her name, and looks over to Cait and the crowd from Stark Industries. One of them at the table had called out her name. "Pryde, they let you out of that lab of yours?" he asks. Kitty laughs and waves over to him. "Apparently, but I expect my phone's going to light up any moment with a summons back," she jokes. Kitty smiles over to Caitlin, saying, "Great costume, by the way."

Her attention is fully taken then as "Batman" removes his mask and Kitty finds she knows him. "Oh, well, you know, didn't want to leak out your true identity," she tells him. Kitty's expression turns into a gentle smile. "Hey Jason. Happy Halloween," she says, tone of of cautious warmth.

Hela has posed:
Elle smiles proudly as Dani makes mention of how spot on her costume is, before looking apologetic towards Kitty, "my mistake, I thought you dressed as a cat and was confused, are you named after a cat?" She wonders aloud, no tinge of derision in her question, she seems genuinely puzzled. But she does seem satisfied when Kitty explains it, "I see."

"I do indeed," Elle shares with Kitty when asked if she owns the place, "it is meant to be a celebration of Norse culture at large, if you're interested, I can talk for hours on the subject. We also offer a variety of Scandinvian cuisine and drinks."

Fairchild has posed:
Kara and Dani both evaporate into the crowd, and seeing no one else near her age, Caitlin drifts back towards the little cluster around Elle. A timid smile is flashed near the group's periphery, not wanting to interject herself into what's (possibly) an Awkward Situation between Kitty and Jason.

Still, Kitty works in a lab and knows people at Stark Industries? Caitlin's interest is visibly piqued by the combination. She looks Elle's outfit over and beams an approving smile. "I like yours!" she tells Elle. "You're going as Lady Sif, right?" she guesses.

Red Hood has posed:
"Yeah, I heard I'm a real jerk about my secret identity," Jason says with a smirk and a nod to the Batman mask though it becomes more of a easy smile as he returns, "Happy Halloween," and offers Kitty a hug in an attempt to take the awkward down a few hundred pegs.

"Alright if I join you guys?" he asks her. "Sort of flying solo."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty Pryde returns Jason's hug, and lets it last just long enough he'll know it's heartfelt before letting him go. "Sure, come on over. I'm just meeting people too," Kitty says to Jason, giving him a little nod of her head that way to help invite him over.

Kitty looks back to Hela and says, "You did a fantastic job. I know I've seen in the papers that Thor's been in here before, and he was at the birthday party. Seemed like he definitely enjoyed the beverages you have available," she says with a soft laugh. "And the one I tried, heavily watered down, still left me with a doozy of a headache the next day."

Kitty flashes a friendly smile to Caitlin. "Are you from Stark as well?" Kitty asks Caitlin, no doubt having recognized a couple of other faces at the table besides Roger, the guy who had called out to her. "I couldn't get anyone in my section to even dress up, let alone go out," she says with a sigh and a little frustrated exhalation.

Hela has posed:
For a moment, there's some kind of an incomprehensible inflection about Elle's visage, before she smiles warmly at Caitlin, "Lady Sif is a guess that does me honor," she muses, "I am merely dressed as a Shield Maiden," she lefts up her shield arm as if to show proof. "I would wager Lady Sif would best most Shiled Maidens out there...not that there are many left in this time of ours..."

"Being on your own is the best way to form new friendships," Elle offers ever so helpfully to Jason, as if he wasn't aware of such already.

"Thor is a favorite patron, he draws a crowd, regales with his tales, and naturally the club is named after his mythical weapon..." Elle gestures at the spot on replica of Mjolnir that hangs above the bar, in a prominent spot to capture all who gaze that way.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin's a little oblivious; she misses Elle's flickering expression. Or doesn't process it correctly. "She is definitely the shieldiest of maidens," Caitlin concurs, and chortles at her words. The tone of fond familarity suggests she knows Sif than more as a mere celebrity figure.

After Jason and Kitty break Caitlin finds herself addressed and looks to the brunette hippy. "Oh! Yeah, I am!" Caitlin says, brightening up at Kitty's inquiry. "I'm Caitlin-- Caitlin Fairchild. I'm --" she gestures vaguely overhead. "Upstairs. I'm with the Skunkworks," she clarifies. Advanced prototype design, where the most bleeding-edge tech SI comes up with is designed. "Are you in the R&D section or Administration?" she asks.

Red Hood has posed:
Jason smiles as the hug is returned and breathes a quiet sigh of relief. "Great," he says about the invite to join the little group as he gathers up his bottle and glass to do just that.

"So I've found," he smiles to Elle. "Speaking of I'm Jason Todd," he says extending a hand to Elle first and then Caitlyn. "Good to meet you both."

A glance is thrown in the direction of the hammer. "What's he like? Thor I mean? Seen him on TV, never met him."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty smiles to Caitlin and says, "Oh, wonderful. I'm mainly working with the satellite systems," she says. "Computer hardware and systems designs primarily." That and tracking Sentinels. That's sort of a side endeavor with the data going to Tony. Thankfully not something that has as much demand anymore.

"You'll have to stop by and say hi," Kitty tells Caitlin. "Roger knows the way. Make him bring some down of that coffee he brings in from home," she adds with a soft laugh.

Kitty looks back to Hela and Jason. "Yeah, he's really kind of something," Kitty says with a faint grin. "He has an interesting way of dancing," she says of Thor.

Kitty looks over to Jason and says, "Glad I ran into you. Hope things with the family are ok," she says, the concern that was in her eyes at seeing the Batman mask returning briefly.

Hela has posed:
Elle offers a somewhat firm grip on her handshake, but it feels like she's making an effort in line with her costume, grinning at Jason knowingly. "Thor is a great warrior of legend, and as can be expected flowing with arrogance as a result. But not unearned, mind you. He commands the thunder and the lightning, he conjures storms to smite his enemies, and he is the King of Asgard." Elle sounds nothing but the utmost respectful when speaking of Thor, "have him on your side, and you are assured glory."

Elle did pick on Caitlin's mannerism, and asks as a by the by, "do you actually know the Lady Sif? It seems like you have more than a passing awareness of her."

Fairchild has posed:
"Sure! I'll come by Tuesday after lunch and say 'hi'," Caitlin promises Kitty. "

"Oh gosh," Caitlin tells Elle with a dismayed note. "I-- I didn't mean like I was dropping names or something," she stresses. "That was super rude of me. Yea- yes, I know her. We're friends," Caitlin tells Elle. "We get to hang out quite a bit. I'm super lucky," she concedes. "Do-- er, do -you- know her?" she queries.

Red Hood has posed:
Jason's brows raise slightly at the firm handshake but he returns it readily. "Sounds like one hell of a guy," Jason says of Thor with a smile. "And I suppose the whole 'flowing with arrogance' thing comes sort of standard with crowns," and cowls. "Still like you said, it sounds like it's earned. Think he'll be coming by tonight?"

As for the family stuff, Jason says, "Dad," he makes a face. "He's still the same, but Dick's home now and taking care of things," he says which probably goes a long way to explaining Jason's earlier mood. Oil and water those two. Indeed, he finds himself pouring himself another shot just at the mention. "How's everything with you?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's lips are pressed together just a bit. Like someone doing her best to suppress a big grin as she listens to the description of Thor. She pulls out her phone and begins working it, swiping to the side a lot as if searching for something.

Kitty smiles to Caitlin and says, "I'll look forward to it. There's a great little deli down the street we can hit if you'd like to give it a try," she offers. The hippy chick looks over and sees Roger and cohorts doing shots. "Glad to see them letting their hair down a bit," she says, and fluffing her hippy-styled long hair to make sure the in-costume comment is picked up on.

Kitty finds something on her phone, and during an lull in Jason's conversation she Hela, Kitty shows him a photo, holding her phone so only Jason will be able to look.

The picture is Thor, standing on the front step of the Avenger's mansion. He's wearing red and white flip flops with a floral pattern, orange Jams shorts and a white t-shirt. He's also holding a pint of ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other.

Hela has posed:
"I have not had the pleasure, but I know 'of' her," Elle corrects Caitlin's mis-assumption, "I did have the pleasure to meet Thor. It was a great honor, and I am pleased he feels at home here. We did our best to give it a sense of authenticity few could vouch for as well as he."

At Jason's question, Elle laughs jovially, "Thor does as he pleases, the Norns themselves could venture I guess, I would dare not!"

Fairchild has posed:
"It definitely *feels* Asgard-y," Caitlin reassures Elle. "Like one giant mead hall. I'm just... not much of a drinker," she says wryly. The soda's hoisted to show off the lack of alcohol in it. "I don't like being drunk and I don't like the taste of it. Not that-- I mean, that's my personal problem," she clarifies. "Not that I'm against drinking."

Her jaw snaps shut before Catilin can continue to chew on her own foot and she turns to Jason during a lull in the conversation. "Oh, uh, hi! Sorry. I'm Caitlin," she says, and beams a smile in greeting. "Are you and Kitty, um. Friends?" she hazards.

/Really/ oblivious.

Red Hood has posed:
Once again Jason's brows are raising, as he chuckles, "Really leaning into your costume there," he says of Elle's word choice. Though that's before Kitty proves Thor's unpredictability with the picture and he bursts out laughing. Whatever he expected to see be it Thor in action, or some beefcake shot, it wasn't this.

"Only way that could be better is if he was wearing Crocs," Jason says with a shake of his head. "What's the story there and just how drunk was he?" he asks before looking to Elle. "Is he able to get drunk?" he'd heard the Asgardians were tough and based on what he knew of Norse legends, champion drinkers.

Caitlin's introduction is met with a smile as he shakes her hand, "We're friends," he confirms, though there is enough ex vibes being thrown off by the pair it might be enough for even Caitlin to catch. "Sounds like you and Kitty both work for Stark?"

Hela has posed:
"That was very much the inspiration," Elle offers happily to Caitlin, clearly impressed that another person understands the reference in design. "I do like to keep a genuine sembelance when in costume," Elle remarks at Jason, a bit of a leering smile on her lips. "I have seen Thor drink barrels, I very much doubt he could get drunk...maybe, if it was a strong enough drink of divine origins...who knows?"

Fairchild has posed:
"Apparently," Caitlin agrees of Jason's question. "Different sections of the company. She's in Aerospace and I'm in R&D."

Caitlin joins some laughter at Elle's suggestion for getting Thor drunk. Some of the snootier clients see their estimation of Elle increase a few notches given her casual familiartiy with the Thunder God.

"Can confirm, Thor /can/ drink barrels of booze at a time," Caitlin nods quickly. "But Asgardians say they can't get drunk off our alcohol," she clarifies. Another virgin cuba libre is ordered and her empty glass is set aside. "I don't dare have any," she shudders. "I had one cup /one time/ and I thought I was gonna be sick from the dizziness."

Red Hood has posed:
"You'd like my brother Dick then," Jason says to Elle. "He's very method too when it comes to costumes."

Jason nods to Caitlyn. "Big company," he agrees. "I used to do some security work for Wayne Enterprises, so I know how that goes."

As to Asgardians and mortal booze, Jason pours and takes another shot. "Yeah?" he asks sizing Caitlyn up. She didn't look like a lightweight despite not ordering booze. "The stuff really that strong?" he asks sounding curious and looking to Elle. "You guys don't have any do you?"

Hela has posed:
"He is welcome at my club, I will enjoy meeting him," Elle answers Jason's mention of his brother. "Did you do a lot of fighting in your role as security?" Elle asks Jason, "fighters are well appreciated in this hall."

At the question about the 'special' kind of booze, Elle smiles cryptically at Jason, "order the Nectar of The God if you dare a sample...try a small glass, a tankard might be much for you..."

Fairchild has posed:
"Oh, really?" Caitlin asks of Jason in surprise. "I applied to WayneTech a few years ago. A bunch of my friends did when we graduated. I got picked up for a paid internship with another tech firm, though. I bounced around until Mr. Stark hired me." The name's said with a fair amount of reverence; Caitlin clearly admires her boss.

Green eyes widen at Elle's suggestion, and she flashes a worried look at Jason. "Definitely just do a, uh, shot," she advises him. "It's -really strong-." Says the girl drinking a virgin cuba libre.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty, after being interrupted by a passerby who wants to talk about all sorts of hippy stuff, finally turns back to answer Jason about if Thor was drunk in the picture she showed him. "No, worse than drink. It was during his engagement," she says with a little grin.

Kitty gave a little nod about being friends with Jason, not adding any more to it than that. "Tony's good at picking up talented people," Kitty says. "Though, I think the same can probably be said for Wayne Enterprises."

Kitty flags down a waitress to get herself a drink finally, but orders something from this planet.

Red Hood has posed:
"Yeah, WayneTech is pretty hardcore when it comes to picking applicants, it's the CEO's baby," Jason says with an air of confidence. "But yeah, I hear good things about Stark as well, I mean if they hired you and Kitty, they've got to be pretty alright."

"Fighting?" Jason asks Elle. "A little," he says modestly. "I mean it's Gotham there's always someone trying to rip something off from anyone with means, but, mostly it's the Bats who get all the action." Though for all his talk Jason carries himself like a warrior, and likely noticable to Elle he bears the marks of someone who's died and returned.

"So drunk on love then?" Jason asks Kitty about the photo of Thor.

As for the other kind of drunk, "Sure, I'll have one of those shots..."

That's when Jason's phone rings, he checks the screen and frowns, "Actually let's put a hold on that for a second, need to take this," then he steps away to answer.

Hela has posed:
Elle casts a glance at Jason, one of appraisal as he answers her question, and nods. Yet her visage seems quite serious. "Excuse me," she suddenly states, "I have business to attend to..." and with that she turns to Henrik, a member of staff who was politely standing to the side and waiting to draw his boss' attention.

Fairchild has posed:
"Any top-tier tech company hires aggressively," Caitlin agrees with a nod. "You have, or else all the skilled engineers get poached fast. I needed the internship really bad after I graduated, though. I was living in Gotham and paying two thousand a month for a shoebox apartment. /And/ I was trying to get ahead on tuition for my second degree plan." Caitlin turns to the bartender and requests a refill of her drink.

"How'd you get hired, anyway?" Caitlin asks of Kitty. "Was it at a job fair, or college recruitment, or what?" The redhead glances at the door as another ribald pack of bad puns and 'sexy _____' walk in to bolster the boisterous din of the mead hall.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty's little non-committal side-to-side head bob suggests not so much drunk on love. "His fiance was... not an insignificant woman," Kitty says. The young woman is generally pretty free with the praise, so for someone like Jason who knows her, it probably gives some kind of indication what Ellisandre was like.

Kitty looks back to Caitlin and says, "Ah, well, I kind of caught Tony's notice actually." She takes a sip of her drink before saying, "I did a project reviewing JVD's infrastructure and making recommendations. And, well, you can guess a connection there then," Kitty says. Such a guessed connection isn't how it went down, but Kitty is fine letting someone jump to the conclusion without having actually lied about it.

Fairchild has posed:
"Isn't that funny, the same thing happneed to me," Caitlin confesses to Kitty (lest Kitty feel as if she's oversharing). "Not-- I don't know who JVD is. Is that like CBS Pharmacy?" she hazards. Clearly Caitlin is not plugged into the fashion world. "Anyway--" she neverminds, waving it off. "Same thing. I was working on a, uh, group project with some people, and Mr. Sta-- er, Tony," she amends. The use of his first name is clearly not as easy for her as it is for Kitty! "He asked if I was between jobs, and I was, and he set me up in the R&D department with a whole team. All we do is sit around and come up with goofy stuff." She laughs merrily. "We got bored today and couldn't come up with anything clever so we bought some potatos and tried to see if we could flash cook them with the microwave emitters."
