First, there was darkness. Then, a red glow appears in the distance. This place is cold, and dry. Dark, and concrete. The walls are bathed in a crimson glow, as a medical bed was wheeled down the hallway by two men, in dark, military uniforms. They carry weapons, combat armor, wearing all black fatigues...with a balaclava on top.

This time, the tall, well-built man with dark hair and handsome features was not just hooked up to a medical device and a handful of cables with a strange red glowing lamp moving with his bed. This time, there was something else. Fear. The two men moving the man into a large, 25 by 25 foot room were scared. Of something.

"Leave. Now." A large woman in a black suit and skirt moves just into the light. There were no cameras here. No sounds other than the two soldiers escaping as fast as they could. No sounds from the medical device at all. For all intents and purposes, the man was be dead.

Next to move forward into the ruby light was a man. Kind of. He was wearing medical clothing, all white with a blue undershirt. What got your attention was his head. It was a skull. No skin or eyes, just sockets. "You are making this harder than it has to be you know?" The skull says, while flipping through the charts on his clipboard. "I told you. He's dead."

The woman snorts, and says, "Right. Then why is his body not decomposing? Why does he seem...alive?" The woman looks closer...but not too close. She glares at the "Doctor".

"It might be his alien physiology. Who knows? I have what you want however." The Skeletal Doctor raises a very small vial. It glows faintly in the darkness...faintly...green.

"Is that all you retrieved?" Amanda Waller says, disappointed. The Doctor nods, and hands her the vial. "Oh yes. The last of the Kryptonite Batman used on him. I collected as much as I could. He is clean now, inside and out." The skull nods towards Superman. Wait...did Kal-El move? Subtly? They both look, eyes staring. Nothing.

"That is...disappointing. We have at least three or four "others" we need this for and may need to worry about. Very well. Ensure he is...disposed of. Quietly."

With a final look, the woman looks back at the Doctor and Superman. "A Time for War...and a Time for Peace..." Then, she was gone.
