"What do you MEAN, you can't find the body?" Lex demanded.

Ever since the 'Battle of Metropolis', Lex had been squeezing his contacts. It was not only necessary to confirm his death... but it would be a treasure trove of DNA. His body could prove to be key to all kinds of projects.

All of the attempts by Mercy to /find/ the body however... had failed.

"I've talked to the Mayor, the Chief, and all the hospitals in the area, along with everyone willing on site. If anyone has the body, they're not talking to me." Mercy explained over the phone. Lex steepled his fingers, running through dozens of scenarios over a few moments, before he slammed his fist into the desk, "Keep. Trying." Lex gritted out through his teeth. "Go outside the city. Talk to the government. A body doesn't just disappear." Lex stood up from his chair, and walked over to the smartglass pane at the back of his office, staring down at where the fight took place.

"Don't call me back until you've found it, or you've talked to everyone." Lex cut off the line with a hand gesture, and placed his hands behind his back as he stares out into Metropolis.

That angle was taken care of... now it was time to reign in the rogue elements. Without the Alien maintaining his cover in the city, those he kept in check would be coming out of the woodwork to play more. He would need to step up a bit to get a handle on matters.

Then, there were the newcomers... it was time to get his house in order.
