DAN
A young man with short blonde hair clearly growing back from having been buzzed and dull green eyes accentuating his heavily tanned skin. He's wearing a loose fitting zip up grey hoodie, worn open on all but the coldest of days and revealing an old Black Sabbath T-shirt underneath. Below the bum attire up top, is a set of well worn and carefully maintained desert camo fatigues and combat boots. He's well built overall, showing a fighter's physique across his entire body. His voice is always low and quiet, rarely leaving a droning deadpan.

AMAROK

A large and imposing humanoid in armor covering urban block camo military fatigues. The armor is sleek and darkened and despite how it covers the being's entire body, it doesn't seem to slow it down or result in any additional noise as it moves. Most eye catching is the head, a sleek, featureless faceplating with turned up ear like metal bits and dimly glowing blue LED eyes. It moves with grace, power, and confidence at all times, no matter how badly outmatched it may seem. When it speaks, it speaks in a quiet, low, slightly modulated deadpan, barely loud enough for whoever it's intended target may be to hear. It's clearly armed in addition to it's armor, a large pistol being clearly visible in a holster on the left side belt section of the harness of it's fatigues. And strapped to the leg on the right side is a large sawed off shotgun, held tightly by it's holster.

History

Daniel Richter was born into a life of privilege, wealth, struggle, and bloodshed as the fourth child of a higher ranking family in the League of Assassins. Trained from an early age to be a remorseless killer, Dan did surprisingly poorly, not in terms of proficiency, as he excelled in tests of combat and stealth from all but the earliest days of his education. No, what he lacked was the killer instinct demanded of servants of the Head of the Demon. After many years of bitter disappointment, an ultimatum was put forth in the form of a transfer from the enclaves of Gotham city, to one of the League controlled PMCs in the deserts of the Middle East. The silent demand was simple, to kill, or die.

And so, at the age of only ten, Daniel Richter was shoved into a squad of much older and more experienced assassins who took offence to being given a "babysitting" job, referring to Dan as "Six" to mock his age. For the next ten years, Dan would be pushed to the limits on every mission as he struggled to maintain his principles in the hostile environments of war. It seemed for a time that he would manage, to his squad's frustrations, to go the full tour without killing anyone. But such would make for to sweet a tale.

During what was supposed to be routine raid turned into a bloodbath when an ambush led to the capture of nearly half the squad, and the deaths of the other greater half. Three long weeks of torture and interrogation followed, until the moment arose to escape. Dan's guard had gotten lazy due to the lack of resistance shown by the young man and turned his back. That brief moment was all Dan needed, as he'd been working his restraints the entire time he'd been there, testing them and getting ready for an escape. In a blind feral frenzy he attacked, beating the guard to death in a pulpy mess against the cavern walls, taking his key and weapons to do similar to the rest of his captors. Daniel Richter was, at long last, an assassin. By the time he came down from the red haze he was in and realized what he'd done, the entire cell of insurgents were dead, most never aware that they were being hunted from within. As he stumbled through the gruesome scene back to the cells, the horror only escalated. Both of his fellow assassins were mutilated beyond recognition, barely alive, and soon after, gone entirely.

Returning to base took nearly a week of trekking along through the desert, and upon he return he was quickly shipped back home to Gotham to recover from the traumatic incident. Using the pay he'd been saving up during his time in the PMC, Dan bought out a basement apartment in Old Gotham and retreated into it, cutting off virtually all ties to his family and sinking into a deep depression. One night, while sulking in the darkness and watching the news of the festering corruption plaguing the city, a story ran about the various vigilantes that had cropped up throughout the city during his time away. The brief exposure sparked a fire within him, leading Dan to look into more and more stories about town of these 'heroes' and their exploits. Inspired by them, particularly of the rumors of how many of them didn't kill, Dan rose from his depression and began working to become one of these shadowy crusaders, even as his personal demons still bore down on him.

Personality

Public Personality: Dan's outward personality is that of a reserved, but friendly and polite young man who's quick with a joke. Will go out of his way to try and lift someone's spirits if they seem down.

Private Personality: Dan's personality behind closed doors with people he trusts enough to open up to is rather sullen, somewhat paradoxical in that it can best be described as "depressedly optimistic." His reactions in these circumstances tend towards more of an extreme, and can even seem bi-polar at times.

League Personality: When dealing with the League of Assassins as himself, Dan is quiet, respectful, and extremely cautious, showing no discernable reactions whatsoever in all but the most extreme of circumstances.

The Wolf's Personality: When under his mask as Amarok, Dan is aggressive, righteous, and unyieldingly tenacious, willing to hunt an offender across the entirety of the city and even a few miles beyond if need be.

Skills

ACROBATICS
Being trained in the ways of an assassin since birth has led to Dan being an acrobat on the level of a ninja, able to maintain his balance on extremely small footholds and scale things with seemingly no means of doing so.

FIRST AID
Dan is capable of basic first aid, both on others and himself. In addition, this training, limited though it may be, makes him able to more easily target points of attack for maximum effect, with minimal risk of fatality.

INFILTRATOR
Put simply, there is no security of any kind that can keep Dan Richter out for long. If he puts his mind to it, he /will/ get in, sooner or later. Likewise, he can escape from most any confinement with relatively minimal effort.

LANGUAGES
Dan is fluent in English and American Sign Language, fully functional in Arabic, and of passing ability in Afrikaans, due to prevalence of Arabic in deployment areas and it being the original native tongue of the League of Assassins, Afrikaans being a common trade language amongst mercenaries, English being his native tongue, and sign language being commonly used for silent communication amongst both soldiers and assassins.

MAINTENANCE
A lifetime of experience in a private army and the League of Assassins has made Dan very capable of maintaining his equipment, be it repairing, cleaning, or replacing his gear, Dan is fully capable of sustaining his activities indefinitely on virtually no income.

MARTIAL ARTS
Dan is considered an exceptional martial artist by the standards of the League of Assassins, putting him on par with some of the best fighters in the world. He has mastery of over a dozen styles and is able to blend strikes and grappling together seamlessly to suit his needs as they come about. He is particularly specialized in countering and fighting against groups.

NINJUTSU
Dan is a master of the eighteen disciplines traditionally associated with ninjutsu, having been trained from birth to make each one instinctive, making Dan a veritable ghost and a master survivalist in any location. Due to being taught along with the traditional skills associated with samurai, Dan can be considered versed on such subjects that do not overlap, albeit at a greatly reduced level.

PAIN THRESHOLD
Few beings can withstand more punishment without breaking than one trained by the League of Assassins. Dan is able to withstand virtually any punishment short of death and keep moving, so long as his body doesn't completely give out on him.

WEAPONS EXPERT

Dan is highly skilled with numerous weapons of various types, particularly swords. In addition, he can make use of many things ambient to his environment in both offensive and defensive manners. His skill with firearms however is somewhat lacking for a ten year vet.

Resources

ANONYMITY
Due to having been born into a shadowy cabal unknown to the world at large, Dan officially doesn't exist. His citizenship files are entirely fabricated and his prints and DNA are on only one database in existance. The roster of the League of Assassins.

FINANCES
Dan has a surplus of personal finances in case of emergency, and is also supported financially by his family as a matter of courtesy. But only so long as he remains in good standing with the League of Assassins.

GEAR - ARMOR
Dan's Amarok suit consists of a suit of lightweight armor designed to facilitate hand to hand combat and deflect small arms fire without compromising the wearer's maneuverability or stealth options, worn over a set of urban camo combat fatigues. His face is hidden by a mask of a somewhat wolfish design with blue LEDs for the eyes, with a built in tactical heads up display, night vision, heat vision, and UV settings. The mask also disguises his voice in the form of a minor modulation in the speaker, and has a short use rebreather for filtering out gas and water for a few minutes. The armor and fatigues have been treated to make them resistant to fire and electricity, to an extant. Complete chemical immolation or being struck by natural lightning, while greatly reduced in effect, will still overwhelm the armor's protection.

GEAR - EQUIPMENT

Dan's standard loadout as Amarok includes a grapple gun, numerous smoke bombs kept in a pouch on the harness of his fatigues, several pouches of shuriken, several flash pellets, three separate braces of throwing knives, a large combat knife, a lockpicking kit, a large Desert Eagle handgun customized with non-lethal rubber bullets and several pouches of fresh clips. And the heaviest weapon in his immediate arsenal, a custom made quad barrel shotgun with two stocked ammo types. Non-lethal riot suppression shells, and explosive rounds designed for destroying APCs. The drawback is that the weapon is made for grandiosity, making it extremely loud and giving it a recoil like being kicked by a mule. Firing all four barrels at once is almost guaranteed to turn the user's wrist and arm into jelly for weeks to come, even when properly armored like Dan.

Weaknesses

PTSD
Dan's time as a mercenary would already have left him scarred, but his time being tortured and watching the rest of the squad he'd spent half of his life with die from a fate he only narrowly escaped has left him traumatized. Furthermore, the relative lack of support from both the League and his family directly has only exacerbated his condition. One pressed, it can cause any number of negative effects, including flashbacks, hallucinations, and psychotic episodes, among other possibilities.

RAGE

Dan has never gotten over the anger awoken in him during his time in captivity, and it doesn't take much to drive him to acts of great aggression, even to borderline suicidal extents.

SANCTITY OF LIFE
Dan holds a very idealistic view of life and will go to extreme lengths to avoid killing people. If anything forces him into a situation that requires killing, it would undoubtedly leave him uselessly shaken for an extended period of time.

THE LEAGUE

Dan's affiliation with the League of Assassins is shaky at present, but also a potential powder keg under a termite riddled torch. The League holds a great deal of power over him, despite his disillusionment, and refusal to obey it's demands would surely result in disaster.
