Summary
18 years ago a special child was born. But not to who or how she was supposed to be. A child of dark rituals, two souls inhabit one body. While demons don't technically have souls, this one does thanks to her conception. But because the ritual was not completed on her birth, things went sideways. The two souls have merged like siamese twins, unable to be separate without destroying the other one. But even demon fathers want to know what happened to their offspring. Especially when they are meant to be an anchor to open a gate between their hell and earth. Because of the results of being raised completely removed from anything remotely linked to the Sons of Satannish, she grew up in a loving and sheltered family. Only recently has she gotten on her own and that also means notice. A simple question, "Who am I and what is she?" of Kaelyn and then Harry Dresden has sparked a domino effect as the mystic looked into contacts and resources. Two souls, one body. The Sons of Satannish are looking for her so that the gate can be opened. They know she is in NYC and are hunting.
